2021 Prevost Emerald RV: Let's Tour the Most Luxurious and Expensive Motor Home on the Road!

[Music] [Music] if you're the boss the big dog the king the big cheese this episode is for you well actually this is just a fun look at the brand-new 2021 Prevot h 345 bus it's a conversion by emerald but I really want to show you exactly what makes this bus the multi million mansion on wheels and it's all in the detail let's go [Music] you've seen us review some motorhomes in the past nice ones in fact but this one takes it to the whole new level first of all it's a 45 foot long bus and it's about 8 feet wide and it's maybe 13 feet tall and it weighs fully-equipped about 55,000 pounds it's powered by a 500 horsepower 1700 pounds foot of torque diesel engine and it's supposed to Bly down the road like a cloud this video is made possible by our friends at trans West right here in use this camera doorbell like your house would be right so let me call Brad the specialist that knows everything about this bus see if he lets me in Oh can I come in yeah definitely as you know here at CFL truck we're rule breakers it says please remove your shoes no food or drink I'm not eating or drinking but I'm gonna keep my shoes on and jump in here so Brad thank you for having me first of all you're the expert on this I want to kind of learn some of the lingo some of the features of this bus you could just feel that it's different you know flavor has been building buses for a siege of 95 or 96 years this year it's a long time so this five recognized converters by Plato and emerald was one of them emerald is is probably the newest converter out there in the Prevot field but it's rapidly gaining acceptance with the way they'd build the coach the way that the presentation the simplicity of it the elegance of it they're built down in Stephenville Texas you can tell they're proud of their work just by walking in it [Music] there is one crucial difference between a custom-built bus like this or a regular motorhome that you see most often a motorhome is basically a ladder frame steel chassis and then the body gets bolted on top of it in a very nice clever way this is a whole different thing brad tells me that Prevot basically builds an entire shell out of stainless steel yes not aluminum stainless steel and it basically works like a fuselage and maybe that's why it's sprouting wings and wants to fly away [Music] [Music] you know these big motor coaches they do everything under at their own pace and this is a valuable machine so the steering is effortless good visibility yeah you can see everything the road behind you and you're in charge of fifty five thousand pounder core right it's nice and neat hahaha now I'm the king of the road right you know what and I'm actually sitting kind of low you know you would think you would be way up in the sky but that's not so the devil is in the details right just look at this little countertop it has light coming through it so this is when you know you're in a special vehicle I like that the cabinetry is kind of a light color makes it more inviting in my opinion and all of these shelves are adjustable height adjustable padded and LED lights throughout it's very special look at the fitment and when you look at the bus the windows just kind of blend in into the structure itself so it looks very premium there are no hard edges or window frames all frameless really nice I could stay here all day playing with a stable it's just cool a power operated thing that table thank you let's take a tour cargo-hold number one coming here look at this beast chairs folding chairs come with us and attention to detail there's a little placeholder look what I got here 65 inch TV outside outside [Music] attention to detail right it comes with this on tablet of course you can go home you can look at different slides exterior section state rib section salon which is where we are now and of course the front portion of the salon the systems you can monitor fluids generator laying of course I mean look at the number of options climate control system and you can see a little picture of your bus shades yes but if this is not your bag oh yeah this is a whole control center as well by the way these Crestron systems they do have a home division to to work a lot of the high-end homes are gonna have these kinds of systems in them as already told you this bus is powered by a 13 litre hole just a little bit under 13 liters straight sex Volvo diesel 500 horsepower around 1,700 pound-feet of torque and an allison heavy duty transmission that you can control right here by my left hand but the driving position is really nice and I can lift these blinders using this button on the steering wheel and I couldn't go down well I can actually go very far because I have about 200 gallons of diesel capacity and that's well over like 1500 miles on one fill here's a way to lock all of your exterior cargo holds air horn yes up and down control for the suspension yes please and around here on the steering wheel column is also your engine brake so you could have various degrees of downhill control without using your mechanical service brakes [Music] all right here's the salon the front portion of this bus in these two armchairs are actually movable but they're very very heavy so they're not supposed to move around and they're padded underneath so when you are in the road these chairs will stay of course you have to have a large refrigerator right yep it's available right here under the sink of course there's LED lights everything is neat in here there's a magnet to hold this countertop piece so you remove it from the magnets see steel and then put it on top of your stove it's very nicely dangling your feet like this doesn't feel really good so you could do this when you're in the bus like this everything is an occasion even an extension of a step and this is where you can do your hair if you didn't get it done inside no it's this is where the water heaters are I love this Bay it's a little bit loud because the inverters are still in play but this is where the lithium-ion battery packs lie so it's this bus is a marriage of traditional technology and also new tech and there is a solar panel on the roof to help feed some of these batteries and you can run without no generator no diesel no the engine running for several hours check this out lights on plus AC plus two ACS or one AC you can run on lithium-ion power this bus is 45 feet long but it's got a 55 degree cut on the steering so it can turn very easily and it can lift the rear axle of course this bus has a special navigation system for truckers because you need to know exactly where some of the truck routes are where some of the truck stops are for refueling service centers of course National Parks RV parks etc is all right here camera you can actually control the tilt of it so you can look in the sky behind you if you really wanted to or maybe you're told double-decker trailer or you can carefully look down before your hitch would be when you're hooking up a trailer if you do want to bring a race car or some other toy maybe a jeep 20,000 pound capacity on this hitch if you think this is how the big 13 litre diesel exhales not so these are the exhaust pipes for the water heater and also the generator let's look at the big diesel it exhales actually through the roof up there one of my favorite parts we're getting towards the mechanicals of this coach on this side air filter fuel filter power steering because the bones of this bus are rooted in commercial service it's rated to up to about a million miles look how easy it is to service you can even do it on the road if you have this some sort of a belt failure down the road there's a series of fans right here so you can stand and have your hair blow in the wind now this is actually a side mounted radiator Bowl electric fans so the engine can focus on pushing this rig down the road if you want a spare engine this bus has it actually no this is the generator which is a four-cylinder is Susan motor so if you have an Isuzu Trek ya take the engine with you but look at the attention to detail this bus has a full airbag suspension for comfort but the generator motor diesel also has an airbag suspension so when it's working you can't really hear or feel the vibrations coming through the cabin the salong of this bus attention to detail everywhere if you want hoses and wires you got closes and wires I love this especially this is a air hose where you can air up your toys maybe a razor side-by-side maybe your Jeep tires of course you got your shore power and some extra hoses to deal with the awnings are supposed to get automatic when they sense wind when they're being knocked about they're gonna retract by themselves if you're a secret agent with the special services this is your tank watchdog this is your water control system for the bus watchdog again another watchdog everything is being watched by dogs which is awesome can you imagine if your house was like this everything labeled number zip-tied every network wire is pre labeled the attention to detail is amazing because yes it's a very large complicated machine but you can troubleshoot everything you can call the service department if you are confused by something the recreational vehicle industry Association is a trade association that has standards for motor home manufacturers and recreational vehicle manufacturers to build their coaches to their standards in terms of plumbing wiring and building practices they'll show up at an emerald about an appointment come in and they want to see what they're doing how are you doing this why are you doing that and making sure they're conforming Umbro takes the additional step to make sure that for customer satisfaction when you're buying a rolling earthquake going down the road that you know that's done right and what you can't see if you are mad scientist also this is your storage panel the text really like it because it's there and easy to get at you got a 110 water pump there gives nice water pressure there's a backup 12-volt red hot blue is cold my galley sink is leaking turn this off and I get water throughout the rest of my coach this is indeed a multi-million dollar mansion on wheels but emerald the coach builder on this bus has a saying price does not set quality but quality sets the price and if you have to ask exactly how much this motor coach costs you probably can't afford it guys I hope you can tell what makes this bus special its attention to detail and the big diesel is starting that means it's
