ladies and gentlemen it is an exciting day here today in miami oklahoma today i'm hanging out with brian pitts here at newell coach hi guys brian what's going on in front of us here well we have a sneak peek here this is a show coach we build a couple of show coaches per year for certain markets this one is going to florida tampa super show naples motor coach resort pelican lake port st lucie a lot of the big hot spots down there we're not quite finished with it yet but it's close enough that we can put it on video so this is the newest greatest thing out of a newell coach factory i'm really excited to see this today this is the newest newell coach on the road right now first 2022 model what's some of the new exciting stuff we can expect to see in this 2022. the show coaches is our is our one chance to show everybody what we can do and in the florida market in particular we're sitting right there next to all the competitors you know they all have locations in florida so when we do a show we are measured against everybody out there so we generally take this opportunity to just really we call it around here throw the book at it in other words just load the thing up and do all the cool stuff this coach in particular has some pretty exciting stuff it's got a killer paint job paint goes up over the awnings i mean it's got some really cool stuff going on we do a a number of things pretty regularly like all polished stainless steel in the engine bay because it makes it look so killer when they when the led lights are on at night and that engine bay glows it looks like a show earlier or a car or something like that another thing that that we have done on a customer's coach kind of engineered this this is the first time we've done it on a coach that the market is going to see is the projectors work from both it has projection tvs in addition to the regular tv monitors so the projectors are set up to where you can do an outdoor movie night like they're going to literally have a reversible image that will show through the screens with outdoor sound so you can set around outside and you've got a 72 inch screen with with this killer outdoor movie night and awesome surround sound so this will be the first time anybody's seen that and our display in tampa is inside the hall where it's kind of dark so i'm really looking forward to showing that off to people we're going to find a cool movie with a lot of action and just put it on loop that's really exciting and i've got to encourage you all if you're able to attend the tampa rv show and go see brian and see this coach in person it's definitely worth the trip showing it over video only does so much justice and there's nothing like just touching and feeling and really being up close and personal with one of these coaches so now this projection screen that you're talking about i've never seen anything like that on any motorhome and i've seen a lot of motorhomes is this something new to newell coach brand new brand new two coaches we did a customer coach their idea we loved how it turned out we had a movie night here in this delivery room and everybody's like whoa we got to do this on a show coach so this is this is the first one that we're going to be able to show people that's got that and it it looks awesome very clear picture great sound right really cool so what's the power plant in this coach so we are using exclusively the 605 horse x-15 cummins it makes 1950 pounds of torque we put a little chrome package on it so that there's some polished stainless here and there it makes it look pretty but uh in the in the big horsepower engines that one rains keen there's a lot of stuff in the 500 horse range but in the 600 plus horse this is the way to go yeah that's what i've heard and common service centers i mean they're everywhere right so they have rv specific service centers so you know you always take a little bit of a chance when you take your vehicle into a truck specific and a guy needs to get inside and start it or move something around or something in an rv specific they're used to dealing with high-end machines like this and they take a little better care of them and they can also work on some things that a truck stop wouldn't generators aqua hots that sort of thing so so having a cummins is a benefit there too we're here in oklahoma here at your factory now obviously you guys are set up to service the coaches here you've got the full one-stop shop i don't think there's anywhere else in the country that builds everything from the chassis all the way to the finished product now getting something serviced do folks need to come back here to oklahoma to get service repair work done on the coach side of things or where can they get this work done that's that's a really great question because being in oklahoma we're not exactly in the hub of rv maintenance nationwide and a lot of people really don't want to come here like you said it's impossible to be so if your travels are taking you across country we have 28 service bays here and professionals that have been here for years and years and years this is impossible to be however we do have 270 service centers in north america we've been in business for 54 years so obviously we've made relationships all over north america so in most cases we can find somebody that can fix what's broken where you are the other thing we've done a lot of with with great success is in the hot spots like coming up i'm heading to florida with this coach we'll have another guy in southern california we have such a concentration of our coaches down there that we literally send our own people down we'll send a three or four man crew down and say you know submit your list to your service writer will fedex parts the guys come in go around to the resorts and take care of everything we're doing that in in florida southern california and northern michigan because those are kind of the hot spots seasonally and between that and the relationships that we have with a lot of the independent service centers in the area oh and also we can't discount the fact a lot of these resorts have mobile service that come around and you're not going to want them to get super deep into the software on the coach but the things that break air conditioners and battery chargers and a bad step motor or something like that that's easy stuff i don't want to crawl under the coach but they'll fedex the parts the guy comes by in the service bank like a click of your steps working again you're on down the road but we've gotten it to the point where it's minimized the need to come to oklahoma didn't erase it all together minimized it yeah and one thing that came to mind while you were mentioning that mentioning that as well is you're 24 7 customer service hotline i have a lot of friends that are new coach owners that just cannot say enough good about there's just something it's priceless when you're somewhere in one of these coaches and something isn't working exactly how you'd like it it's priceless just to pick up the phone and have someone that knows what they're talking about on the other line is that customer service line for a certain year of coach or it's it's all the way back to the beginning wow you can call with a 50 year old coach and uh first of all we'll have somebody here on staff who was here when it was built which is pretty comforting but when the guys answer the phone they for the most part they've promoted out of the factory so they were there when the thing was built they see everything in the service department they answer a bunch of phone calls in a lot of cases that 24-hour service line is going to be a deal where they're like you know what we can fix that by resetting this this and this are you where you can go outside right now and you know they'll they'll talk me through admittedly some of the self-inflicted things that i get myself but and a lot of it is user error it's not always the coach it's we need someone just to remind us a little bit of moral support well you know you learn everything from last year's coach and then you get a new coach you're like oh wait i haven't seen this before so the guys get me back on track on that and you're right the comfort level of having somebody on the other end of that phone anytime you have a problem takes some stress out of my life big time yeah absolutely and and we even have some mutual friends uh stephen chris oh yeah down in florida and chris was telling me that she will you know if something isn't right she just calls newell coach and it might just be just climb around in here and find this and everything's all good again so i've heard over and over from newell coach owners how priceless that hotline is now this is a 2022 god forbid something goes wrong i was talking to grant earlier and he's saying in certain situations you guys will even put a technician on a plane like on a brand new coach or is that i mean is that something we can disclose with youtube or yeah i think so i think so you know it's it's not something we advertise readily because it's horrifically expensive it's basically double dipping we're losing the productivity of the guy that we need here and we're putting him on an airplane and paying him overtime double time whatever to go fix a problem but if you're in new york and you've got a slide problem and nobody else can fix it we've got the people who can so i don't have a feel for how many times a year i would guess that's probably fewer than a dozen that we have somebody that's just broke down irrevocably and we can't fix them by a remote and we'll send guys out to do it one of the things we do that that in my opinion really cuts down on the need for all of that is that this company more so than anything i've ever been around builds redundancy into all their systems there are manual overrides on all the automatic doors there's two air compressors two water pumps four ways to charge the batteries on and on and on manual overrides on the hvac system obviously it's controlled by a network ran device but there is a toggle switch you know that bypasses all of it and we've had that that philosophy for the whole time we've built these things and it's gotten to the point that if you lose something and it may require a call to the 24-hour service line or it may just be apparent but you turn off that main water pump and turn on the auxiliary you're not broke down anymore yeah you can still go there's a lot to be said about that and sometimes everything may not work perfectly but if you can at least still keep moving down the road and still have hot water or you know still have a backup system to keep you going a lot to be said about that i'm really excited to take a look at this 2022 today and take you guys along with can we take a look around you you willing to show us some of the cool stuff what's going on with these basement bays some of the stuff that we did special for this coach is we have a range of materials we can do the outside of the bays on sometimes it's brushed metal polished stainless that sort of thing i'm a big carbon fiber fan so this coach has carbon fiber fascia on all of the bays except for the fuel and def bay you can't pass up polished stainless on that it looks amazing it's easy to clean if you have a little spill one of my favorite parts about the newel coaches are the quality of these bay doors i gotta just open and close this real quick just to show you guys so what's the proper way to open and close it so when we designed these um this was the way we came up to deal with four slide coaches before the bay doors were pantograph went up against the side of the coach which was awesome they were out of the way it worked well and so on but with four big slides there's hardly zero bays really left that would work that way so our guys here in the shop design what i think is just the cleverest way to do it rather than having them swing out cafe style or swing up like this where you bang your head on them they did a bi-fold door sealed very robust i don't know if you can see the thickness of the metal here but that's the thickness of a silver dollar we built some very robust bay doors that will uh you know withstand millions of cycles without a problem one of the things i thought was so clever that the guys came up with is they designed the mechanism so that they open just past top center and so they lock in the up position so these little hydraulic struts that everyone in the industry uses to hold their bay doors open when those get weak and you have a traditionally suspended or open sideways bay door there's nothing to hold that thing off of you these lock in the up position and so in order to close them you just pull them past top dead center and then listen it's like closing a vault door true story that's the real deal now when you opened it it's just a one touch and it automatically opens yeah and we again set the mechanisms up that way these are electric latches and as i mentioned before everything has an override these are electric latches so it's set up so that the door is under pressure while it's closed so when you open it you just click the lock and you can walk down through open every bay door with minimal time spent bent over under a slide can we close that again i just want to hear it solid no amount of pressure washing is going to get past those seals yeah another thing that's kind of cool is we do a little fuel door camera it's a cheater i made fun i have to admit i made fun when they said we're going to put fuel door cameras on so you can see when you're lined up i'm like what's wrong with your mirrors well the first time i drove one i'm like okay now i'm not wrestling with the def hoes i line up off of the def hoes three feet pump done and i'm like okay so that was a good idea my bad what we have going on in here is the fuel and death from the very beginning of of def fluid we put the def tank right beside the fuel tank on the correct side of the coach so there was never any of that where you have to pull the coach forward to fuel the death or turn it around that sort of thing you hang up the fuel nozzle you feel the depth uh we put a little bib on each coach which i also really think is clever so when you're filling fuel you put it over here on the fuel so if it drips it drips on the bib and then the same thing obviously on the def tank when you're filling it these these coaches can fill from both sides of the coach the tank holds 205 gallons that's a lot of fuel so some people like to fill on both sides i generally just fill on this side it goes quick it gives me time to get the bugs off of the windshield and that sort of thing and then it it's finished hang it up pump 15 gallons of def and you're good this is the plumbing bay here i'm a huge fan of these i'm an rver in addition to what i do for a living i'm also an rver as as for fun and this is so well thought out it has all the stuff you would expect like the auto retract hose reels and manifold systems so if something fails inside the coach you can just turn it off and continue to use everything else there's a home run from the tank to each component but then it has some surprising things in in my opinion first of all i told you i was a fan of carbon fiber look how sweet that looks true story yes sir and then primary water pump backup water pump you can use the little water pump if you have a problem with the big water pump or like if i'm dry camping i will turn the big water pump off and use the small one because it runs through water a lot slower oh okay so your water consumption goes down then so another thing i really like i do not have this on my personal coach but all of our coaches have a sewer hose that stays attached the whole time so on my coach i'm rinsing and storing in a tupperware container and that sort of thing this guy stays attached the whole time it's got a little valve down here on the end that when you're finished dumping you just close that let it drip a couple of times and then you put the whole thing back into the coach and you're done how long does that sewer hose extend so we designed it so that rather than coming straight off of the holding tank it actually goes all the way through and comes out from the other side so there's 20 feet of sewer hose that you can pull out and then in the next bay up you'll see another little container there's 20 more feet of sewer hose that can clamp onto the end of this and you can use it to extend on out to 40 feet if you need to if that won't get it done the coach has a built-in sanicon system that you could hook 150 feet of hose up to if you need to get that far to reach a dump facility we also do a greywater bypass that's this device here this is the control and that's the bypass if you're in a situation where you can dump gray water some of my nascar guys in particular really like that they're at tracks with gravel in between the campsites and so they can run their gray water out on the ground that will save them having to spend two or three hundred bucks a weekend getting the coach pumped out plus have somebody there when the truck comes by and so on they can just kind of dribble the gray water out on the ground and if the coach captures the black water that's that's a pretty nice setup so you do have separate gray and black tanks they are the same tank it's a diverter valve over the years the feedback from the industry newell has really always only had two tanks a fresh tank and a holding tank but the feedback from the industry has always been what do you what do we do when my wife and i fill the gray tank four times before we fill the black tank once and then we'll have some guys that say hey me and my buddies go to a nascar race we fill the black tank up and the gray tank does it doesn't get all the way full this way you have 150 gallons of fresh water on board it all fits in the other tank and then you can determine what happens from there we felt that that addressed the most concerns we get virtually zero call to separate gray and black tanks this bay is a little unique for us because our generators are are in an airtight box it's not possible to have the cooling system in the box with them so we remote mount the cooling system it's floor plan dependent this being a front door coach generally this cooling this cooling system would be back here third bay roadside which is where it is on this coach so this is the squirrel cage fan and the radiator for the generator we pump the cold water up to the generator from back here and that allows us to keep a much quieter engine bay the other thing that's in here that i mentioned this earlier there's 20 more feet of sewer hose that's rigged up and ready to go it can either attach to the gray water bypass or to the main hose to extend it out 40 feet this is the central vac clean out it's in a nice safe place in a non-finished base because it's impossible to get that out without spilling a little dust here and there so it's not easy to wash that out most of our coaches come with a pressure washer and it has a little solenoid diverter valve so that you can wash with regular onboard water and then when you need the dini spot free water you flip the solenoid valve clear the hose and you can rinse the coach spot free not have to dry it these two canisters here are made so that they can be removed and recharged we estimate about 200 washes in between times when they need to be recharged you order the resin from amazon or wherever it comes in the next day you dump the old put the new in and you're back you're back fresh ready to go again that is really nice i use it to wash definitely the front of the coach more often than anything else but my tow car gets just absolutely wrecked if i drive in the rain and it's nice to be able to wash it off before i go to dinner these are our two main pass-through storage bays they're about four and a half feet wide 28 inch they're 28 inches tall and they go all the way across the coach in most cases these are finished bays with a tray power remote control power tray and then we can take it from there and do what you want a lot of people just prefer to have storage here with it with a small surround to keep things from falling out the size of the surround the existence of the surround entirely is up to you if you'd rather just have a flat tray or an open bay with a golf cart access we do that quite a bit for nascar guys that want to carry a golf cart under there there's a special cart that the seat and the steering wheel folds down that'll fit under there we can kind of finish that stuff out however you like this coach this is the stuff that we call the care package so it's got a lot of cool accessories in it the box here has spare fuses belts filters light bulbs things that you're not going to be able to just find at your average truck stop on the way through that the coach might need at some point we've got emergency triangles and flares and the the weight that our chassis shop makes a weight that holds the sewer hose down in the hole so if the guys are trimming and they bump it with a weed eater it doesn't knock it out and make you the most unpopular person i've seen that happen me too that's a nightmare central vac attachments a little extra depth just in case you needed all the towing stuff for the adapters all of that stuff we send with you in the coach so it's all scooted over to this side so it looks a little busy over here but those are all accessories that comes with the coach i noticed there's still some wrapping on there what uh what am i looking at here well this one isn't quite finished yet and uh we had a crew out here kind of frantically peeling stainless before you showed up and uh we missed a spot so you you caught me in the attic hey no no problem at all what's going on in the in the front bay here so this is this is kind of a service access bay it's not one of the more glamorous ones but it's definitely necessary a lot of things in our coach depend on air pressure the seals around the slides all of the pocket doors in the main entry door work off of air the leveling itself works off of air so it's very crucial that we have a reliable air supply so we've we've done rather than a like a standard setup with a single compressor we do an auxiliary and a backup and then we set it up so that when you start getting hours on one say 50 hours on one you can just switch over and use the other one that and it also works they're isolated from each other so if one were to fail for some reason you can switch over and use the other one while we're replacing the one that remains this is the main chassis fuse box here it's set up so that it slides out and swings out so that you're looking directly at it that's really nice because i don't know about you but if a fuse blows on me it's probably sleeting so it's nice to not you know have to crawl into the bay with it to figure out how to change it another thing we do on all the coaches which i think is very clever is we put a 110 plug up here in this front bay because if you think about it this is where you park your golf cart and that way you're not having to run an extension cord all the way back to one of the outlets farther in the coach this is the golf cart charger right here there's even room to put the charger in the bay if you just want to run the cord nice to the golf cart we even put a little plug down here in the bottom that you can run the cord down through oh very cool this is a new front end unlike anything i've ever seen brian what's going on here well we work with porsche design and those are some very clever guys they uh they send us some really great ideas and if we like them then they build they build models for us to see what it's going to look like in real life and when we saw this it was a home run yeah the the porsche guys knocked it out of the park in my opinion and the market has has reflected that and we we've had phenomenal response from this some of the things that we wanted to accomplish is to make a more aerodynamic looking front and also get the drl the daytime running lamps integrated into the headlight buckets we really like that look and how clean they are and so they designed these buckets for us this is the low beam that's on with the drl's around it they're both xenon head lamps um then also that the coach has an option i prefer the high mount mirrors the standard is the low mount mirrors but we've gotten such good feedback from the quality of view with a high mount mirror you can see more of the of the side of the coach than you can on a low mount so most of our coaches are coming with a high mount mirror but we still have a lot of especially first time newell owners that will want to know hey can i still get the low mount mirrors definitely those are standard the high mount are the option another thing we have going on in on the front of the coach here this is a pretty big deal the uh the front of the coach conceals the generator this is a 20 kilowatt four-cylinder turbocharged generator it makes all the power the coach could need we even provide a buddy plug back in the back where if a friend's having issues with their coach they could plug into your coach and use the power on this this is a really state of the art unit it's tier four compliant it as i said was a 20 kilowatt four-cylinder turbocharged unit it has its own air ride suspension so that the coach doesn't vibrate while the generator is running it has its own halon fire suppression system and as i mentioned earlier it's got a remote cool cooling package that pumps the cold water to it because when this door is closed this is an airtight bay which makes a really big powerful unit very quiet and in campground friendly should you need to run it in a campground okay i see a small little spigot down there what's going on down there oh so when we did the early pressure washers we put a hose reel on the side of the coach that had 50 foot of hose on it and you drug that out and wash the front or the back or whatever we figured out pretty early on that that just wasn't convenient so now we send you with a smaller like a 25 foot hose and do a quick disconnect in the front and in the rear of the coach so you can just take the hose off of the reel and move it to the end of the coach or the side of the coach that you needed to do and hook the pressure washer up here that's what that's what these do there's another one in the back of the coach as someone that's drug around power washer hoses for the last 12 years i greatly appreciate that small little feature that's gonna save you a lot of headaches well thought out newell [Music] and ladies and gentlemen this is a first look at the 2022 newell coach brian what's going on in here sir man i'm so psyched about this coach like the colors of this thing the floor plan it it's gonna be so perfect this is a coach that we built specifically to show to the florida market it's got colors that they like kind of a tommy bahama feel inside with the light colors and the dark accents tons of window space because you've got so much pretty stuff to look at down there you know you put the shades up at the average florida resort there's palm trees and waterfalls and all these amazing things to look at so we always try to really maximize the window space in here one of the ways that we maximize the window while still getting all of the things everybody wants electronics wise typically you have to pick whether you want a big television on a lift which pushes your furniture out makes the coach a little tighter when the slides are closed or you build one in over the window nobody wants to do that so what we have been doing quite a bit of lately is this this is really cool what we're doing is we are using the shades as a projection screen so you have got a 72 inch high resolution 4k projector hooked to satellite dvd and so on projecting onto a window shade that had to be there anyway it's really a perfect setup i mentioned earlier andrea and i were talking about what's cool and new about this coach the other thing we're doing that i cannot wait to show off when we get to the tampa super show is we've made the shade so that you can show the projector on the shade and reverse the image and watch it from outside so it's got a set of dion speakers that go outside their bluetooth speakers you just take them out and set them down and then everybody gathers around on their chairs on the outside and watches an outside movie from the projector inside the coach all of the ipad controls and everything work from outside of the coach obviously too so you can have a movie night with a 72 inch screen on the outside of your coach i cannot wait to show that off at the show i've seen a lot of different stuff in motorhomes i've seen projectors but nothing so well thought about and so efficient and so flush like literally the window basically just turned into a tv basically right exactly wow exactly out of the way when you don't need it and there when you do need it now because projection systems are somewhat light sensitive much less so than they used to be the lumens are much brighter than they used to be but because they do they're somewhat light sensitive we go ahead and put traditional televisions in this one has a 49 inch high-res 4k television here in the front that's so if you want to watch the news through the day without turning off a few lights you can still see it very clearly but when it's movie time this projection system with the anthony gallo acoustic surround and the subwoofers and stuff just kill her this cockpit really is probably my favorite place on the coach and it's because we spent two years building and rebuilding the models on this to make sure that it fit the maximum number of people i'm six two we have employees here who are five six what we wanted to do was a build a machine that worked for all of those guys without having to take things apart so what we've what we've done here is we've made it a total surround system you have an ipad over here that controls coach functions your av systems your heating and air conditioning you can dump the tank start the generator all that and it is removable oh nice you can handle it you can hand it to your passenger and say hey listen it's kind of hot in here and my eyes are on the road can you take care of this and they can turn on the air conditioning um and i noticed it has that launch port when you pull that out is that a launch port charging station it is it's magnetic so it holds the device in place and charges it while it's in there nice um you can run all of the pages that you can run from elsewhere in the coach this is the lighting tab the shade tab this is coach functions this one is pretty cool because you can take the ipad outside and run your slides which obviously the coach isn't running but you can run the slides from outside so if you're in a really tight situation and you're concerned about how close you can get to that tree before you need to stop you can stand outside and run the coach with with the ipad i really like that that is real carbon fiber this is not any vinyl surface that is the real deal ladies and gentlemen no corners cut here at newell coach the climate control page is on here the av systems are on here and all of the cameras the coach has a network of cameras around it 360 vision one at the door i mentioned the ones earlier on the fuel doors and so on so all of that could be monitored from here or from this screen this is a 15 inch touch screen most of the functions on this obviously that with this being the dash most of the functions on this are designed to be used while the coach is running i'm not in a situation with the coach still being inside in the factory where i can start it up and show you but i'll show you what's on what's available on here the leveling page is on here big buttons that you can see from anywhere really love that huge screen what how how big is that screen that's probably both of these are 15 inches 15 it's okay the idea there you know most of us myself included we require glasses to operate now so it's nice to have your far away vision and still be able to see this stuff without fishing out reading glasses the gps screen this is another one that only works while the coach is running both the driver and the passenger have gps the reason we do that is so if you have your primary route programmed into the driver's side here and you come across traffic or if you need to find a place to park for the night and don't want to reprogram your main screen the passenger can change on their side and put an alternate route or an alternate routing into that unit and send it over here there will be a tab up here on the top that says driver side and passenger side so i can just switch the input from the one on the driver side over to the one on the passenger side and that information will be displayed here i found that to be a very useful feature as i come across unexpected road construction or i need to find a walmart to spend the night in or something like that without bothering my main nav system you can control all of your shades from up here in the front it has screens which are see-through and just for sunblock and then you have actual shades which are black out like for nighttime kind of deal and that's for the front and for the sides uh the column memory again the coach has to be running but we've got this set up to where you can manually adjust using the triggers on the steering wheel or it has your memory positions programmed in so that when you turn off the park brake it automatically comes to your driving position when you turn on the park brake it goes to your seat exit position the newel tab down here has the settings for the unit you can turn the brightness up and down and and change it to kilometers prominent if you're going to travel in canada it also has our contact information for our 24-hour service line at newell which is nice across the bottom is climate control for the driver and passenger it also has its own separate tab again the coach needs to be running for that to work the audio video this allows you to select from inputs it's got huge buttons there's obviously bluetooth and xm serious radio and all that stuff you can also set sound levels and everything from this tab climate control this is for the dash only but it runs the heat and air from up here phone obvious your phone is bluetooth to this so that gives you the ability to uh to run your phone off of this again with huge buttons that are easy to see i have the cameras really really nice set up here we've got three places you can monitor cameras you can monitor them on the ipads this is just from the cockpit on the ipads from this panel and from up here so you can select different inputs for each one you can have this stay on the rear all the time have this switch with turn signals or be on a 360 view and have this one on the fuel door camera so you can see when you're lined up the 360 thing is for me it's a little confusing while i'm driving so i mostly use it when i'm parking because it is awesome for that little tree stump that's just a little bit below your mirrors you can't really see it in traditional view but with a 360 view you can see it as though there was a camera on top shooting down really handy there mirror controls is on this page too and then the passenger has their own screen over here that allows them to operate most of that stuff as well oh wow nice shades and climate control av that sort of thing the main panel up here this is the one that all of the engine data is displayed on it it would replace traditional gauges and it's very customizable you can you can change foreground colors change background colors make it brighter make it dimmer change it to kilometers if you're traveling in canada all of that sort of stuff on this page and again very easy to see huge gauges big controls that sort of thing we talked about the gps over here this is the transmission selector easy to reach right up here in the middle the ignition button is here radar detector controls that's kind of a newer quirk we've done that for years and years and years we've always put a very state-of-the-art radar detector in the coaches to the point that i've started using them in my personal cars as well they are amazing this little carbon fiber pad right down yeah what is going on with that that is an inductive phone charger so you can just set your cell phone regardless of brand set your cell phone on it and it will charge it for you while it's bluetooth hooked to the main monitor so you can use it for music answer calls and all that without ever having to touch it i'm assuming that's a real piece of carbon fiber of course yes one other thing i have to point out is all of the aesthetics on a newel coach like the foot pedals here are just stunning we've got a lot of cool stuff happening here uh one thing i did not mention is when the projection system is going there will be a second recliner here these are wall hugger big comfortable recliners that you can lay out nearly flat if you want to as this coach isn't fully finished yet we only have one in here the guys from upholstery brought it in and put it in right before we got started so you can see what they're going to look like but there will be a second recliner here and then the little drivers console designed to be free floating so that you can slide it back and use it as a drink holder put the remote on it whatever between the two recliners this couch here is on like any other couch i i've seen when you look closely there's just all kinds of details you've got different fabrics different materials what's going on with this couch here well it's custom all of our furniture is custom we you know we'll order not just size and style but the materials we we will make that unique to this machine um again i was mentioning earlier the colors florida customers in general love this sort of rich wood and rich leathers and that sort of thing and with as big as this coach is nearly eight foot ceilings and huge slides and big windows and light colors everywhere else we can do some darker colors without the coach looking like a cave inside so in this in this particular instance the leather is very popular because leather holds up very well but let's face it it's not the most comfortable seating surface cloth is generally a more comfortable thing to sit on so we did the seating surfaces out of cloth it's an upholstery grade it holds up very very well and if it should get a rip or some pet damage or something like that we can just recover the cushions and not have to replace the entire couch which is prohibitively expensive it's also a sleeper couch really one of the reasons that we don't buy off the shelf furniture from a traditional rv supply house is in most cases when you sit on a sleeper couch you can tell you're sitting on a sleeper couch the company that we do business with on this furniture has taken some steps in their custom furniture division to make sure that you're not feeling the framework for the bed under your cushions while you're sitting on it so it's as comfortable as a traditional couch but it has a queen-size hide-a-bed in it yes so this couch all these cool buttons this is just a super high-end design we could keep going there's a lot of detail work here brian i know i know we've been talking for a while but here what what else is going on here well another thing that i'm really crazy about and and newell is unique in this um there's a million ways to do dinettes there's jays and j shaped and and facing chairs and so on i love this thing and here's why let me show you what this thing does so slides in just a couple of people on board this is really ideal when you have guests over though the unit is motorized and there are bolsters that store in the back you can make this into easily a six-person dinette oh wow put the bolsters in over here the table itself slides out and there's a leaf that goes in it we can even take the saddle off of the ottoman here and put it down at the end as another seat you can seat six people around this dinette you know if it's a rainy day and outdoor dining is not ideal and you already have guests coming over that's a really nice bit of convenience there and it doesn't compromise the drawer storage down underneath oh yeah and i've got to point out like every square inch like notice how that's rounded there that's all very difficult and requires a lot of craftsmanship to to make it look like that those guys in the cabinet shop just blow me away because my dad was a cabinet builder building round cabinets is hard building round doors and drawers to fit them is just so advanced that you know i walk through there i don't even talk to them i don't want to distract them i mean they're those guys are just next level amazing another pretty tricky thing about that is we put seat belts in that too really so we've built the frame robust enough that seat belts can be attached to that dinette seat and it can still extend and retract like that both the dinette and the couch have seat belts so the couch does too okay we have a more difficult with a sleeper couch but it can be done nice another thing that the florida clients are are often very interested in is how does my galley work is it going to have the kind of storage that i need and so on you've got a coach that's set up well enough that you can bring your dinner party inside it's got tons of countertop space this the uh buffet over here lots of doors and drawers a big sink with a garbage disposal in it you know we've despite the fact the coach is beautiful and it's a showpiece and so on it's also very very practical on a day-to-day basis which let's face it high-end coaches aren't necessarily known for that typically but we with building our own chassis we can maximize the space so that we can get the most out of the the cabinetry and still give you lots of room for a big dinette and a big sleeper couch and a king-sized bed and two bathrooms and all the things that this coach has um and i think that's probably why we get such positive feedback from the florida market so i've got to point out just how beautiful all of this woodwork is and i'm even going to point out at how all the grains line up just over the top with the craftsmanship that's a that's a difficult thing it means that all the guys that build these overheads have to work off of the same piece of material to make sure that the the grains match like they should it's the same way down here on the lowers both the cabinet styles and the drawer faces and cabinet faces all match with the grain we were talking about storage this is dedicated trash can storage with room for uh trash bags and cleaning supplies behind it this is a big cabinet here that people will put shelves in we customize all of this so we can build shelves dividers organizers will often in this tray in this drawer here build a partition so that your forks stay where they're supposed to your spatulas knives and so on and we'll line it with a with a rubbery material so that it doesn't rattle going down the road i really like that setup that's all stuff that we do during the delivery the the client will say you know here's what i typically carry and we'll build we'll build the organizers in for that still a good month away from this coach being ready to deliver it still needs to go through the cut and buff process it will be ceramic coated we had a crew of 10 people out here working on it before andrew and i ran them all off so that we could have the coach to ourselves so you'll see a few things as we go through it but it's getting there and i'm really excited about it a huge thanks to the team of people that were working on it for for letting us interrupt their workflow so we could get you guys an inside look at this can't thank them enough so there here's some overhead storage and i really like now is this is this planned with the two-tone i really like how you've got the two-tone carpet inside of the cabinets there we do that on purpose with as much light as we have in this coach the styles would show through the crack so you want a light colored interior it makes it easier to find the things you're looking for in there but you want a dark colored face so that they don't show through the gap between the cabinets okay all of the cabinets when you open them have led lighting that comes on and illuminates the cabinets that's everything in the coach does that that makes finding these finding things a little easier too but having that light colored interior is pretty crucial for that when we close these anybody that's done any type of woodworking can appreciate this these cabinets are literally a piece of artwork the way that all of this grain lines up that is so difficult i have a lot of respect for whoever was able to pull that off yes sir so we have another buffet over here which is where your coffee bar is this is a pretty cool little deal it it is plumbed into the filtered water for the coach so when you're when you're making coffee you can just put the grounds in tell it to come on at seven o'clock tomorrow morning and it takes care of that this piece is removable and you can also do a keurig insert there if you like it single cup then you've got the prep space here which we would have lost had we done a traditional countertop counter space so you've got some prep space here and then really huge drawers yeah and a lot of countertop space i want to point out as well everything is really oversized it has about nine feet of counter space oh wow and a lot of big drawers the refrigerator we use this is a really cool unit this is a ge monogram series um look at the hinges seriously this is the biggest hinge i have ever seen on any sort of appliance any appliance period that's uh works really well because you know you put a lot of heavy stuff in this door and then go down the road it's nice to have hinges that are solid enough to hold it um we like this waist high ice drawer so you don't have to bend over to the bottom drawer to get the ice out and then this bottom drawer this is really pretty cool this is a freezer drawer or a refrigerator drawer you can turn the temperature on the controls here you can turn the temperature for the lower up or down depending on what you want it to be so some customers will carry a big chest type freezer outside which the coaches always set up for and in that case you can really put maybe 30 percent more inside refrigerator space by turning this unit up and using it as a refrigerator wow very functionable one other thing i've got to point out is look at the style on all of this hardware just such a cool pattern and just a very very modern look and whoever designs these coaches it's doing a great job check out these pantries that has got to be the deepest pantry now usually when those are slide out pull out pantries that's got to be what at least 18 to 24 inches deep there yeah that one's the one for cereal boxes and cases of water and that sort of thing you've got to have a tall one like that it's really well thought out it's it's the product of 54 years in business people telling us what they like what they need what they wish their last coach did that this that this one does now um and the spacing of these is no exception that that's the result of feedback from clients i've never seen a pantry you could put a case of bottled water and it says a lot about how heavy duty built that is when it's set up for that kind of a style now is this a bath and a half coach just about always they will have a bath and a half a lot of times even two full baths this one is a bath and a half coach that's another thing about our florida market most of the people we're going to talk to down there it's just two of them they still want separate bathrooms but our uh we have a really really hot bunk bed floor plan with two full baths and there's a lot of people wouldn't have anything else but in the florida market set up for two people with a bath and a half seems to be about the right way one thing we do often on the florida show coach is because we have such a a large number of people coming through the coach at once rather than doing a hinged door here which kind of stops traffic you know at these motor coach shows it's not uncommon to have a couple hundred people a day at the tampa super show it's not uncommon to have 1200 people a day and so everyone wants to see the half bathroom but if you've got to stop while everyone opens the door and goes oh yeah that's beautiful that's a major disruption of traffic so we've been making these curved pocket doors so that as you're going through the coach we can just leave this open and there's nothing to stop as you look through which it's a gorgeous half bath i want everyone to see it of course but it doesn't slow everyone down as they go through it just press a button and it opens right up for you beautiful science styling and this is almost like a floating sink the way it aesthetically looks how the cabinets are all curved more of that over-the-top craftsmanship as well as all of the really cool accent lighting and one of the things that i really like about the newel coaches is their sinks i don't know why but they always have the coolest sinks in all of their coaches i'll i'll be honest this wallpaper is a little bit um i don't know this is a little different design but hey there's a story behind that what's what's the story immediately maybe if i hear the story i'll like it a little more but i'm going to need a good story for this i'm being honest with you got you covered so um i had a raised eyebrow on that too so we're all down on grand lake of the cherokees northeastern corner of oklahoma big lake lots of fun to be had there is an island on grand lake called monkey island it was named as such because the governor of oklahoma many years ago bought a big chunk of land out there and built a compound for him and his family they came down after going to the zoo in tulsa to the lake house so they could let their monkeys run free and then the name kind of stuck and the monkeys of course are the grandchildren the children and all that okay so the name kind of stuck so now we have this major recreational area with resorts and casinos and all of that on grand lake called monkey island and carl and alice blade who have owned newell for decades have always had a house on monkey island and it's kind of a little wink nod to our older customers that we will often hide monkeys whether it's fabric on pillows or maybe it's a bronze sculpture somewhere but as our our old time newell customers come through they'll see that monkey wallpaper and go yeah i know what's going on there and if the next owner doesn't like it it's wallpaper easy no big deal we'll change it out but for a show coach it's absolutely perfect because it tells a story about newell's history talking about carl blade if you haven't already seen the video that i did where i got a chance to interview carl blade where he tells a lot of his story just an incredible story of newell coach and just this is just an incredible company the more i learn about them i'll leave a link to that in the description below but okay i guess we'll give you a pat i guess we'll give you a pass on the wallpaper on this one but if it was me personally buying it i'd probably go see your interior design team maybe do something a little different but hey i like the story so what what else is going on here so every coach has got to have this of course we will often do a stack system where there is a top load dryer and a front load i mean a top load washer and a front load dryer in this situation though with this floor plan these are directly across from this opening to the bathroom so i typically don't like front load washers in a hallway situation because there's not enough room to really get down here and move things around but with this you have the room of the bathroom behind you and then we did the retractable doors so they're not in play they're out of the way the whole time so 220 volt dryer works like it should just like a home unit the washing machine really same thing the asco brand from sweden is amazing stuff and they're compact enough that there's room for detergent storage fabric softeners all that sort of thing up here on top really good setup here these doors that newell coach does i haven't seen anyone else in the industry doing that very well designed very well thought out and when you're not doing laundry it's all hidden away yeah and just when you when you open and close those doors too i can just hear the quality it's there's nothing flimsy about this at all so all right i keep i'm seeing that light that halo of light below the bed back here and this is just a huge master suite area or whatever yeah so it's a it's a king-size bed there are nightstands on both sides that has gotten to be a really big deal for us we used to build mostly closets over there but the night stands we put deliberately we put 110 volt plugs there we have so many clients using cpap machines that having a place to keep it where it's out of the way easy to get to for cleaning there's a plug there for it and so on that has really just taken over the design beside the bed having enough room for a cpap but still also having the room you need for your ipad your reading glasses you know the bottle of water everybody needs before they go to bed that sort of thing i have gotten to the point where i very seldom see anything other than a nightstand on on each side and literally this is this is by far the largest countertop space i've seen in any nightstand of any motorhome that has a king-sized bed usually when you have a king size bed that gets cut way down so huge countertop space we've had a lot of feedback from is the rear television typically you have to make a choice do you build a huge television over that awesome window over there or do you motorize one out of the bottom and lose this whole stack of drawers this is a huge stack of drawers yeah you know that's the kind of storage you need in motor homes but if we do a lift television there that all goes away if we build one in then this great window goes away so we have we have found this to be a very very popular option for us again second projector we have a projection screen projecting onto another window shade okay so this coach has two projectors in it two projectors two anthony gallo surround systems with subwoofers um it's a really really media friendly coach does this projector project to the outside of the coach as well wow both sides of the bed have control panels on them that can run the entire coach on that side it's an ipad because that will double as your television remote which runs this projection system on this side it's a built-in panel but literally everything on the coach security systems climate control everything can be run from back here if you forget to do something before you go to bed no worries push the button up here it turns off the outside lights it locks the door the compartment doors everything is is you can run everything from either side of this coach another thing that is really important to really everyone regardless of market but i think newell coach just kills it on is closet space you know typically when you have a large galley with eight foot of counter space like this one has and you have two recliners and you have a full-size sofa two dinettes a king-size bed a bath and a half something's got to give somewhere and often it's closet space when you go through high-end coaches pay attention to how many linear feet of closet space are available and you'll see what i'm talking about this coach has almost 16 feet of hanging which is just phenomenal in a motorhome wow but look at all of these places you have a shirt closet over here which we typically end up using for shirts rather than jackets we call it a jacket closet but because this coach is going to florida you may not need jackets you have this one which is a full length hanging you've got to have that in every coach we're very big in motorsports the guys want a place to hang their fire suits um i'm assuming maybe there's some evening gowns for the for the ladies that might need this too but we always try to do one full-length closet and and one other thing i want to point out that i really like about this closet is it has the outlet in your closet so that you can store your vacuum i know anybody that's dog owner like me can appreciate having a good place to store your vacuum super important as a coach owner one thing my old motorhome is lacking and someday it would be nice to step up to a new coach and have that i would appreciate that so the other thing we do with vacuums that i think is really pretty cool um you know it takes a while to get out all the parts of a of a in-wall system like a central vac system and put it all together so i will often also carry a dust mop in this full-length closet and then in pretty much every coach we build we do this little toe kick dude right here oh yeah nice so you can very quickly cover the 500 square foot in this coach with your dust mop i can do it in between clients coming through at a show just very quickly sweep it all in there kick the toe kick it's outside no more worries i don't have to string out the whole vacuum i can just run through it very quickly there is another closet over here and it's also two rods but it could be one full we put the subwoofer down there in the bottom for the surround sound system oh sweet and another outlet in that closet as well definitely thinking ahead and then the main closets are back here now real quick before we go on that and that is there a piece of artwork or what are you you're going to fill this space here these are art recesses there was one up front too it's one of the last things that goes in because we don't want to take a chance on damaging the artwork but we we do art recesses and most of our coaches what's nice about that is if you hang a piece of art here it's recessed so the slide misses it if it were surface mount you'd have to take it down every time before you took the slide put the slide in or out so with these you can hang a piece of art and it will stay there i've seen some coaches when that's finished and it's really cool how you guys a lot of it now will this be a painting that the x kind of matches the exterior paint job ties it all together yeah we will typically send samples of the coach to an artist and say we're feeling modern on this coach or this is a traditional coach we want a landscape scene and she will use the colors that are appropriate for the coach in the painting it looks really cool i'm looking forward to seeing that painting i think i may have to take a trip to the tampa show just to come see this coach when it's complete because it's still a month until completion that really says a lot that we're able to see it in this state and it still has a month worth of work left probably one of the coolest parts about this coach is the rear bathroom here what's going on back here brian well one thing i often forget to tell people about we've got some pretty serious artists making our pocket doors too it's not a part of something you really think about while you're walking through the coach but look how gorgeous that thing is wow really like something you would see in a super high-end home i love them i think they're so pretty yeah okay so rear bath back here lots of closet space here it has drawers sorry to catch up but the cedar is overwhelming like literally the second i came within a a wisp of this cedar closet you guys must be really close to wherever they're chopping those cedar trees down because definitely the freshest cedar i've ever smelt in a motorhome closet so sorry what what else is going on back here so we have we have a lot of closet space this is another one of of them it has a full stack of drawers all the way down but check these out and there's there's more closets this isn't finished yet obviously like i said a month left right and we're on the third camera here to get this for you guys look at all this it's just got massive storage so entire storage and and i really like how it's separated so you've got a his and hers and that cedar smell it's you guys got to go check this coach out in tampa just to let me know if i am blowing smoke about how much the cedar smells i mean it's literally i've never smelled this strong of cedar anywhere i've gone you guys where do you guys source your wood your cedar from there's a company in tulsa that delivers that to us i don't know where it comes from but i agree it has to be close by seriously check this out now this is another thing that you get when you buy coaches from a 50-year 54 year old company we hang the door the doors deliberately so that you have a three-sided oh i didn't even notice what you were doing and that is too cool opposite ways [Music] it doesn't do me any good but people who are prettier than me put plugs in here so if you use like an electric razor or an electric toothbrush you don't have to leave them out on the counter you can plug them in and leave them in the count in the cabinet very well thought out look at all this storage in here you know it's just it's really just everywhere and over here above the heated towel bar yes yeah heated towel bar i really like the styling of that towel bar and i like how the wall is that same is that like a marble that's behind yeah so you've got the same marble and i've got to get a close-up here so you can see but it's the same marble behind the head area and the heated towel rack as inside of the shower here and newell coach finishes everything out from the ceiling all the way down notice there's no gaps at all everything is fully finished and one of the coolest things that newell coach is doing is these new drains so basically from about right here you can't even see where the drain is but if you get a little bit closer you can see there's a little more of a gap so that's where all of your water is going to drain very well thought out is this a steam shower as well no it's a traditional shower but it has digital controls from kohler for temperature shower patterns and that sort of thing and there will be a lot more to that we typically don't hang uh the shower the shower bars for the handheld wand and the towel hooks and that sort of thing until the coach is sold we only get one shot at doing that and we want to make sure that it's where the client wants it there's no toilet paper holder here yet there's no paper towel holders there's no towel bars all of that stuff happens as we're delivering the coach and the customer goes okay right about here is perfect okay this will also have a teak seat oh yeah that there's this this amazing company that does these beautiful teak seats with the stainless steel hardware and it folds down out of the way when you don't need it folds up when you do that will be along that long wall there nice the design is just so awesome but really cool countertop with almost these bigger grains in it and really newer styling and of course another newel coach sink that is just totally over the top it has pages so there's a like a climate control page here for the bathroom and then this is the door controls the light controls you can turn off all the panel lights in the whole coach that way it's a neat little setup i want to talk about how folks can buy one of these but before we do that we miss one thing going through this coach check out this ceiling i should have pointed this out way back there but we were so ex we were so excited with all the other features in this coach but the ceiling work on this is just exquisite really unlike any other coaches in the market you've got a combination of i'm assuming this is leather and wood grain with all of the cool accent lighting and it's all functional too it's not just for decor reasons like each of these corresponds with an intake for the air conditioners oh wow i didn't i had no idea that opened up right it it makes access to the filter super easy you just fold it down it's right here um i mentioned earlier the redundancy and the systems uh one of the things that i just love about this obviously all the climate control is controlled digitally with touch panels through the coach should something ever happen to that you've got all manual nice it's foolproof i mean it is a toggle switch if there's power to the coach you have air conditioning we do things like that all through the coach and that that makes that makes using the coach especially when you're a thousand miles away from from newell coach it makes using the coach just so much more stress-free brian if someone is a serious buyer who should they get a hold of um it's always my preference that you get a hold of me because that's what pays for the bills so my name is brian pitts i've been at newell for 20 years and i will get it i'll get on top of it as quick as i can when you contact me brian i can't thank you and the folks at newell coach enough for letting me my pleasure and the folks on youtube see this amazing 2022 newell coach an absolute honor i greatly appreciate all of you coming along for the journey i hope you're all having a great day thanks again thanks everybody appreciate you watching
