oh hi thanks for watching my video today we are talking about fame in the sims 4. does your sim dream of being a celebrity do they wish to have other sims swooning over them for an autograph before coming home to find fan sent gifts if the answer to that question is yes then you might find this video fairly useful the get famous expansion pack introduced fame to the sims 4 and you'd be surprised by how many things your sims can do to become famous and even though the fame system was a part of this expansion pack it doesn't just affect gameplay from get famous there is a lot of cross compatibility here and fame can be gained through various things your sims can do with base game and other add-on packs so i'll be talking you through 20 ways you can gain fame in the sims 4. starting off with the most obvious and the one that came with get famous the acting career as you would expect these acting gigs help your sims gain fame fast especially if your sim does a risky performance once the gig is completed sims get a chunky fame boost and acting does the job better than a lot of things on the list and as a suitable follow-on from that one performing acting scenes in public will gain fame for your sims especially if they're performing with a sim that's already famous and if your sim doesn't want to put in any effort to build their skills they can gain fame by networking having connections to famous sims will increase your sims fame so if your sim becomes best friends or even lovers with a celebrity they will automatically be in the public eye also as a side note children born to famous parents will be a celebrity and seeing as we're already on the topic of children we should also touch on the drama after school activity for kids which also allows children to gain fame one of my favorite ways to gain fame for my sims is to put the spotlight on them and make them perform in front of a crowd sims can perform comedy routines they can sing and they can play a range of instruments on stage one of the good things about performing on stage is that in addition to the fame gained your sim will also own simoleons in tips the next one here is one of the most convenient ways to gain fame the streaming drone you can live stream your sims doing pretty much anything from a cheeky mukbang to a saucy dip in the hot tub i did a speed run of becoming a five-star celebrity and i found it really useful to live stream my sim performing live to gain as much fame as possible although if you want to gain fame quickly this next one might be the best option performing as a dj in a nightclub this one can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but if you get it right and mix the tracks enough during a dj session your sim will gain fame at a rapid rate and with all this talk of performing it would be shambolic of me not to mention how you can use your performing skills to make money at home sims can use the mailbox to license songs written with each instrument and by singing djs can also license mixtapes for daily royalties speaking of royalties sims who have a passion for writing books can also earn a decent amount of fame when a sim finishes writing a book they can sell it to a publication earning them simoleons every day as well as a little fame boost get famous not only introduced the fame system in general it also gave us the media production station the sims 4's answer to the youtuber career sims who follow trends record edit and upload videos will gain fame as well as daily royalties and fame can also be gained by replying to comments then we have social media sims can use their phone to upload photos to instagram and post updates fame is gained by posting on social media but unfortunately there isn't much compatibility with followers for example if a sim gains fame by social media and that alone it's likely that the amount of followers they have would be in line with their fame level however if you had a sim who was already a three-star celebrity post on social media they'll only have a handful of followers i think it would be good if there was like a set benchmark for certain celebrity ranks like if you're a three-star celebrity posting for the first time you should still have more followers from the get-go because your sim is already famous so wouldn't it make sense for them to have more followers than any other sim who isn't famous another way to gain fame is to donate stuff sims can use the pc to donate money to charity and celebrity sims can donate their own items to charity or fans both types of donations will gain fame for your sim for sims who are looking for more of an artistic route to fame the painting easel will quickly become their best friend this all the artist's sketch tablet both can be used to make paintings which when sold will gain fame especially if the painting is a masterpiece there's actually quite a few things you can sell to gain fame photographers can gain fame by selling their photos naturally the more time spent on building the photography skill and upgrading their equipment the more fame your sim will gain from the photograph this is pretty much the case though for most of the things i've mentioned in this list selling excellent quality cupcakes from the cupcake machine to the local bakery will also give a little boost of fame sims can also gain fame from authenticating artifacts sims will need to have a level 9 in archaeology to authenticate artifacts themselves and sims can also gain fame from sending artifacts off to be authenticated then we have career scenarios so when sims have worked their way up a fair bit in their career they'll start getting scenarios while they're at work and you as the player have the choice as to which path they follow thankfully the scenarios do usually tell you what would happen as a consequence of your choice and usually when your sim is a high level in their career one of the options to choose from will involve gaining fame another way to gain fame would be by using the rocket ship to explore space and if you have get to work installed you'll also gain fame for upgrading your rocket ship and traveling to six and this one requires a lot of effort though to even get to explore space your sim will have to literally build a rocket ship although it can be done quite easily if you have city living and attend the geekcon festival where there's a rocket ship already placed and speaking of geekcon this is also a great spot to enter your sim in a video game tournament if your sims video gaming skill is high enough they might just win and if they do they'll gain some fame you don't have to go to geek con to do this though you can just do it if you own the gaming station and taking the last spot on the list we have programming sims who have a high programming skill will be able to gain fame by making mobile apps along with royalties as well so there are 20 ways your sims can gain fame but the things i've mentioned in this list aren't the only ways to gain fame in the sims 4 there are so many different things you can do to get famous that i'm not sure i can list every single one but here are a few more honorable mentions becoming a spellcaster and casting spells in public obtaining awards ordering drinks for everyone at the bar and finally showing off your dance moves in public places like a nightclub can you think of any ways to gain fame that i may have missed i'd love to know in the comments i'm actually quite impressed by the amount of things sims can do to gain fame it's always good when something that is part of an expansion actually makes an impact on gameplay not just for base game but also for the other add-on content too and i really like that fame isn't restricted to hollywood type lifestyles i wouldn't have been surprised if fame could only be gained by acting and performing but it's quite nice to have all these different options but on that
