looks like a great day to do a test flight all right here we go it's the moment of truth got cletus buford flying the right seat to make sure we don't do anything too terribly bad and i did pull out an extra life insurance policy on them it is paid up so we are good to go and i also updated the uh hull coverage on this so if it does go down you know as long as we can walk away from it and we're good to go we're gonna be just fine yeah get her done boys let's do it he doesn't seem nervous at all [Music] hey we got rpn look at that oil pressure yep 67. that's acceptable so let's see oil pressure is good i like that we got rpm now so now we got to wait for the oil temperature let's make sure that goes up nicely done getting some bugs worked out well tim 184 185 just a little under 180 over there so that's good oil pressure is showing about 80 over there 65 here so that's just a little optimistic over there all right bertha street is good today ready yep can i get a clear prop [Music] check check all right [Music] you know this is the first time i've ever looked to make sure it actually went up [Applause] all right all right in the event of any hiccup or an anomaly of a takeoff rpm so you're going to ride better into the wind but in a six one half goes to that point you got 98 um once we are in the cross or like a cross round i'll probably be seven eight hundred feet we might be able to make it from there [Music] [Applause] five [Music] clear on final [Music] all right so we're gonna give every inch of the runway on this one i'll hold the brakes and take it up the full throttle i need to screw my seat forward a little bit here all right you got an airplane oh yeah that's better all right hold the rig i got an airplane you got controls all right full mixture fuel pumps on props up and full throttle and then uh [Music] [Music] 80. [Music] that was exhilarating [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] city [Music] inches [Music] [Music] squared all right we're again all right so pressure back to 15 inches [Music] all right and we're in flap operation roger notch [Music] all right we want a little bit of a descent here hey there's my flash my trim all right that's 15 24 okay there's lighter controls [Music] these airplanes come down coming down is no problem so when you turn final i'm gonna go ahead finals clip your second notch okay 25 all right and let's bring the power back that's a good undercarriage just download make sure that props up seat belts fasten its switches are appropriate all right traffic cherokee six six romeo bravo turning final runway two eight plant hitting and we got wind coming at us this way yep the first one [Music] all right the idea with these is just keep that power and it was kind of down they're kind of flying at the ground and then once we're coming [Music] down [Music] [Music] because part of this airplane is [Music] feels good though [Music] do another full run yep [Music] go [Music] 80. all right [Music] there's 400 [Music] dang this thing's hitting a thousand feet a minute so no problem [Music] pop that out [Music] [Music] about 25 inches [Music] and this is the 25 squared climb out yeah [Music] all right [Music] [Music] yes there we go [Music] oh [Music] [Music] airplane [Music] all right [Music] already [Music] we just did about three hours of flying in this thing and we only had to put it on the ground twice i think yeah yeah it came out came out pretty good we walked away from each situation yeah that's true that's true [Music] you know there's a little pimp right that's right so we've nicknamed this the kilo carrier because we're pretty sure it probably carried some uh some what'd you call them square grouper square grouper out of the keys that's right that's right oh that's fantastic well so levi here he's the cfi that i did all of my training with and he is the guy who's got a ton of hours in these things so i'm gonna give him a little uh little pick me up hey i don't even know you probably don't even smoke didn't you occasionally occasionally well this is definitely an occasion because the airplane did not smoke so we will so grab you one of those yeah a little that one right there yeah and then the biggest one yet and i don't know if he wants to be on camera because he's not a camera kind of person but that's the ia that has allowed me to basically ruin his shop for the last four months to get this plane in the air so uh let me go ask him first but these are one of these are going to be for him as well and then we'll do a little celebration dance party all right so i suckered him into it he will be he said he would be on camera because i guess i had a video that came out today and somebody recognized them and they asked them about their shop parade and yes it went up 20 bucks an hour i'm i haven't asked what my shop rate is but he's got a sign over there that says 235 bucks an hour if i did something before and he had to fix it so i don't want to i'm afraid to see what the final bill is going to be but uh mr phil you my friend favorite guy in the whole world i got you got you a cigar here so would you ever want your favorite one there i know you don't smoke cigars but whichever one is going to look the prettiest on your mantel that's all right there you go there you go so thank you so much for all the the help and oversight and keeping me on the straight and narrow didn't have to beat you before yeah just once that's all it takes thank you sir i appreciate it very much you're very welcome this has been jimmy's world and we will have more content coming at you with that airplane i think we might like see if we can do a drag race with it and my humvee or something that would be kind of interesting to see which one can get up to 50 miles an hour the fastest nicer sure yeah get her done see you next time
