much anticipated midseason battle [Music] season and we're on a high note as you look down at pro player Stadium the home of the Dolphins as they entertain the Dallas Cowboys at this much-anticipated battle this has been talked about since last April when the schedule first came out Jimmie Johnson in fact the dolphin coach said I put a circle around October the 27th everybody's been looking forward to this Jimmy geri-beri what kind of reception will they get here is what happened when Jimmy Johnson came out and then when Jerry Jones came out followed by microphones cameras print media everybody the ballyhoo has really been what we expected it to be but would they speak to each other Jimmy and Jerry first Jerry arrived to talk to the owner of the Dauphin and then he and Jimmy Johnson touch hand so that much is over they did shake hands but it was only a touch I'm Pat Summerall here with John Madden and John what about all the valley who are you glad it's over I'm just glad that part of the valley whose over I mean it has nothing to do and that's all we've been talking about is Jimmy and Jerry and Jimmy and Jerry aren't going to play I mean they're their time they had that the pregame show they had that in the pregame but from now on it's going to be about flyers and I think the ironic thing was when you had all those camber but in those photographers flopping all over each other with those who came out two of the great players walked out of the field unnoticed dan Marino employment and that's what the games going to be about and what Dan Marino brings to this dolfyn team is almost indescribable well you know that's what we were talking to Jimmy Johnson about he said when when he came here and he knew Dan Marino was a great quarterback one of the all-time great quarterback he said but he didn't know the impact that he had on this team and he said he not only has the impact you know you know in the offense he gets into huddle he calls the plays there's a different often but also the defense of special teams this entire team is really about Dan Marino what is the state of the Dallas Cowboys they're the world champions all right now well no I mean haven't played like the world champion since the last Super Bowl they need more consistency I think their offense needs some big plays I think their defense is going to get a big lift today because they get Charles Haley back and with a quarterback like Dan Marino you need the extra pass rush that they'll get from Haley Marc Ternay says he's going to give it a try he's been out of practice almost all week but the stage is set and will be back with today's game between the Dolphins and the Cowboys in a moment as you would expect the pack house as the Cowboys get ready to face the dolphin with slot receivers today Marino intended for frigid deflected by tobert there's a guy who's having a heck of a year for the Cowboys Tony Tolbert he had both knees scoped in the offseason they went in there and cleaned them out and last season he kind of limped through the whole year but he is a different player this year and you just watch as it has a pass rusher on these quick little passes you want to get as much push as you can then get in the lane between the quarterback and the receiver and Tony Tolbert was perfect on that play as quick as Moreno is and his release of the ball you're not going to get many sacks or wife receivers this time Moreno and they I over the head of Randall Hill incomplete and the guy that hit him was Charles Haley yeah I I think when you talk about just pure pass rushers Charles Haley is as good as there is in this game he came on a stunt that time where Leon let work to the outside and he came under it he he hit Dan Marino just as he threw the ball so
