Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Itβs always sad to see brothers fight π
God, I hated that βin the graspβ rule back in the 80βs! It robbed Bruce Smith of a sack-fumble and Buffalo with an early turnover. By the way, I thought there was no way Buffalo would have worked around tha late substitution, I thought for sure Cincy was gonna getβem but there was Smith with the sack.
Damn, it's crazy to see them talk about Paul Brown. They were acting like he was just this legendary god of a coach. Wish I got to see games when he was alive.
Not the greatest sound quality, but I thought I would post this piece of NFL history. This was the last time the Bengals would reach the Super Bowl. They were the first NFL team to use a no huddle offense as their primary method of play calling. They called it the "attack offense." Two years later, the Bills would also go to a no-huddle offense and come very close to winning the Super Bowl.
Man I miss Dick Enberg
Boomer really struggled in these playoffs despite being the mvp that year. If he had played anywhere near the level he did in the regular season, the bengals win the super bowl because that defense was fantastic prior to the last Montana drive
Two of the best television announcers of that period behind Summerall and Madden.
RIP dick enberg
I didnβt realize the Bills made 5 AFC title games in 6 years. Buffalo fans from that era are brave souls.
I always felt bad for the Eagles growing up in the early 2000s it seemed like they always fell short.
