Spindle shaft feels solid Fine diamond stone The cutter height adjustment mechanism is amazing! This tool doesn't fit the lacing, but it's still fun to use Nickel-plated brass I do not know why this was welded on I found the collets that go in the pedal carriers Some of the gears are cut poorly The 3-jaw chuck is with "Wood by Wright" He plans on using his lathe around the shop Using this chuck won't be pretty... Time to put the pedal to the metal... You also have to pedal backwards. Amazingly centered brass... It can also cut tapers and convex surfaces Maximum speed! Never skip lathe day See "Wood by Wright" make something with this lathe you

Oh I love these. I have since I saw them on the woodsmith shop. Roy Underhill did a couple segments on Barnes man powered tools.

Curious why not add another axle (wheel?) to pedal forwards like 99% of other pedaling mechanisms in existence?
