18 VOICE COMMANDS FOR YOUR TESLA YOU NEED TO KNOW (Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y)

ever since taking delivery of my tesla model why so far this has been the best car that i have ever purchased and one feature that i love about the tesla is the voice command feature now this is not just specific to the model y it also works in the model s3 x and y inside of the tesla you have voice command features as well because before taking delivery of my tesla if i wanted to navigate somewhere i would have to pull out my phone and try to navigate or if i wanted to adjust the radio alternative radio station i'll have to take my eyes off the road again which is a safety issue in order to get the station that i want and with a tesla that is not the case some people whenever they think about tesla they think about the screen and think that you have to go through an entire menu while you're driving and that would be false with a tesla the only thing you have to do is hold down the drive stock on the right hand side and you can just tell the car what you want so in this video i'm going to go through 15 different voice commands that would make your tesla experience a lot easier and i'm starting right now the tesla voice command is designed to understand your natural request without you going into the screen and manipulating anything in the screen and you don't even have to have exact wording that is picking up just everyday conversation you can do everything such as pulling up video climate control car controls car functions there are so many things that's built into the tesla that the tesla will understand so the first command that i want to tell you about is climate control so climate control is one feature that you do not have to take your eyes off the screen for you're just going to press the right button on the steering wheel and watch this make it cooler by making it cooler it's going to decrease the temperature by three degrees if 69 is not a good number for you for many reasons i can say it again make it cooler and it decrease the temperature again by three degrees however if you're in the car and the car is getting cold you can say make it warmer so anytime that you increase or decrease the temperature in the car using the voice controllers it will increase and decrease by three degrees it's also cool you can say things like cool down the passenger direct airflow directly to my face and the air vents will all start moving right to you or you can say direct airflow away from my face and the air vents will drop down this car can do so much just through the voice controls alone have you ever been driving in a storm then you have to start fumbling with the windshield wipers in order to see so now that's a safety issue manually in the tesla in order to turn on the windshield wipers you will have to touch the car icon pull up the menu come down find windshield wipers and hit the button however with voice command that is not the case the only thing you have to do again hold down the right button on the steering wheel and say turn on the windshield wipers and the windshield wipers would turn on and also you can say turn off the windshield wipers now it's disabled and you can also increase and decrease the speed of the windshield wipers and another feature that tesla offers is called dog move so for all of you pet lovers out there that have pets and dogs if you are out running errands and you have to get out the car very quickly just to run in and you don't want to take your dog with you because you're not going to be gone that long you can enable the dog move and it would say on the screen like hey my owner will be back and it's 73 degrees in the car in order to enable adult mode you can do it manually or again you can just press down the button and say turn on dog mode and it's as simple as that so you get to a parking lot and you get into this tight parking space you are able to get in there but you don't want people walking back and forth knocking on your mirrors damaging your mirrors so using voice command you can fold the mirrors fold the mirrors now my mirrors are folded now i can go on and get out and do the things i have to do without manually going into the settings to fold the mirrors in the tesla like many cars you do have a glove box but the thing that's different about the tesla glove box is there are no latches hooks handles or anything else that you can open the glove box with is very discreet it's almost like the glove box is hidden within the cabin yes you can open the glove box by going into your settings and clicking the glove box or again you can hold the button on the steering wheel on the right hand side and say open the glove box then i put in my pen then the glove box will open so for all of my travelers out there if you're in the city especially if you're renting the tesla and you don't know where the nearest airport is they have you cover drive to the airport and now you see all of the airports right nearby if you want to get to one you just click on it and it will give you the directions on how to get to the airport so if you're out one day and you're hungry and you're looking for a restaurant tesla again has you covered because it can find all of the nearest restaurants just by asking what restaurants are nearby now you have a list of all of the restaurants that's nearby and again you just click on it and the car will navigate you to that restaurant of choice and tesla's are great due to the infotainment system very popular it has netflix disney plus twitch tick tock it has it all so using the voice commands you don't necessarily have to go on the screen and pull up what you want to watch you can pretty much do it all from the comfort by pressing down the button on the right hand side of the steering wheel open netflix and now netflix will open up on the screen so if i say i'm watching now i can go and browse the library on netflix and also if i want to say go to youtube open youtube and again it will open up your youtube feature and make sure you like and share and also subscribe to this video but everything on youtube will come right on up so that is another great feature with the voice commands and also with the voice commands you can say like change my source to bluetooth or turn on the radio or you can even tell the card to play specific songs from itunes radio or even if it's connected to your spotify which is awesome because before i got the tesla in my car i will always have to go on my phone again stroll through a library in order to listen to the song that i wanted to listen to but with the tesla i just say play the song and it will begin to play in the car so not only does the voice commands work on features inside of the car it also work on features outside of the car as well if you don't feel like pressing the button or going into the menu in order to open up the front trunk or the charge port you can do it all from here so watch this open the front now the front just popped open if i wanted to open the trunk i could simply say open the trunk watch this open the trunk now the trunk open in the back simply this if i wanted to open up the charge port same thing open the charge port now the charge port is open and also whenever it opens up now i have the charging menu here in order to adjust any charging that i need to do or even just change the amp edge and you can also close the charge port but you can also say close the charge port as well as it pertains to pressing the button on the steering wheel so watch this close the trunk now the trunk is closing hey sorry about the wind however the front is manual so you can't tell the button hey close the front you will actually have to get out the car and close the front so if it's dark outside at night in order to turn on the dome lights typically you would have to go to the lights menu then turn on the dome lights because i can use the button on the steering wheel again on the right hand side and say turn on the dome lights now the dome lights are on all across the car you know from time to time you can get into a car and the fan is blowing extremely hard maybe you needed a hard fan the clouds came out it began to rain now you don't need all of that air in a tesla it is somewhat inconvenient sometime especially when you're driving to do it manually but with the tesla you can hold down the voice command and tell the car where you want the fan to be set turn the fan to nine i'm not sure if you can hear it but now the fan is blasting tesla's revs so in order to drive these cars you have to charge them the best way and the cheapest way to charge in order to save the most money is to charge at home every once in a while especially if you're on a road trip or you just out during the day and you need to get a quick charge in you can go to the supercharger in order to charge your car some people will be like but i don't know where the nearest supercharger is they got you covered take me to the nearest supercharger now all of the superchargers that's nearby will pop here if i click on there it will navigate and also it will tell you and show you a map of where i am and where all of the superchargers are i see over here in brookhaven right now there's a weight at that supercharger and it tells you how many stalls are available at each supercharger a great feature about your tesla is the heated seats all of the seats are heated in this car especially the middle c in the back which is typically unheard of so in order to turn on the heated seats you can of course do it manual in the screen or you can simply say turn on my heat warmer now the driver heat warmer is on and tesla like a lot of other cars these days you can use the voice command button in order to make phone calls you can send text messages and also this card can do so much whenever i say this card can do so much it can do so much so you can even pull up the owner's manual in this car and also watch tesla related videos on how to do certain things in the car and you pretty much do it by doing this open the owner's manual here's the owner manual so any question that you
