16-Year-Old SHOCKS everyone with her UNIQUE sound in The Voice | #Journey 145

potential to be a star something special and you ha you're driven [Music] i would have pushed that button but i'm done forming my team [Music] and i'm from western sydney last year i auditioned for the voice but unfortunately i didn't turn a chair knowing kelly's team was full like i was kind of bummed about that because she was kind of like an inspiration like when i was growing up after my blind audition kelly tweeted a photo of me and my performance kelly rowland's tweet said there was something really cool about me and that she would hope to see me next year so i'm back for my blind audition i got my mom my dad my brother and my baby sister emilia they're just my family and i love them so much i'm just really excited to be back yeah that's good enough and who would you prefer to turn for you if it was your favorite of course kelly obviously yeah okay french everyone even noticed then she'll give you a big hug [Laughter] i soaked up all the advice the coaches gave me i kind of sung in the mirror a lot structured how i would stand how i would you know perform and i'm here to prove that i can turn a show this year it would be a dream if i worked with kelly because we had a connection last year i would feel very excited it was like i worked so hard to come back this year i just really want the chance to turn [Applause] for everybody who's just getting to know you can you upset with myself cause i said the same thing last year and i can't believe i let it happen again i'm really really gutted and i hope that somewhere along the way i'd get you in some sort of battle in some sort of knockout in some sort of something i'm not gonna mess up again i'm just shocked that i i was the only one to turn i'm stoked because i need someone like you like you're why i went on this show like this is why i'm here when we start working together you're not going to want to go anywhere i know you're 16. but you've got something special like really special you are amazed we're going to go on a magic carpet ride together just you and your magic got food baby all right for my next knockout group i've got jack jordy and lara you guys are gonna be tackling rihanna oh my gosh [Music] and i hope that somewhere along the way i'd get you vocally i love what you do you've got this real musicality to the way you're singing so i've chosen umbrella oh my god i wait like i everyone knows on to it i thought i found a way out whatever that is yeah just like give it more volume and like ground it more okay the main thing that i've got to really focus in on and just and really nail is you to do that because i still feel like you've yet to give us even more volume and i know you can give us more yeah okay yeah zeke always gives me heart but i still want more of a vocal from him then locked you know what i mean like how would you say that to like a friend on the phone me as a person i'm a bit shy when it comes to performing i get overwhelmed sometimes so it is a bit of a challenge i think that since you being here you've gotten the notes right you know what i mean i think the next thing is to come out of your shell and not to be afraid of that i need to start like believing in myself as an artist so in this performance you're not going to see shy lara you're going to see superstar laura your homework this week is to find your flair continue to come out of your shell because it's beautiful what you're showing us if laura doesn't let herself go this could be her final performance i don't want that to happen on my watch [Music] i don't know about what you did i wanna scream
