[1424] Lock Picking… An Inside Perspective

this is the walk between lawyer and today we're going to do something a little bit different I thought it might be fun to show you what it looks like to pick a lock if you could watch from the inside so I mounted this cutaway cylinder in the Vise and we're going to pick it three different ways first we will single pin pick it then I will show you what it looks like to use a wave rake and finally we'll open it up using a lychee tool let's get started I'm going to insert a turning tool in the bottom of the keyway then use this short hook something on one little click on two nothing on three nothing on four maybe a little something on five six is binding very tightly nice click out of six back to the beginning nothing on one two three is binding nice click out of three and we got it open okay let's move on to a wave rake and before I actually pick with it I want to show you just how quickly this makes those pins move you can see why it's such an effective tool put that turning tool back in and see how fast we can open this lock and the answer is pretty quickly let's do that a couple more times even faster the second time and the third was quick as well okay let's wrap this up by picking it with a lychee tool okay nothing on one 2 is binding little click there nothing on three nothing on four five is binding little click there six is binding click out of six back to the beginning click out of one it feels set to feel set click out of three three feels set four is binding very tightly four could be set nothing on five six is binding click there I suspect we're pretty close nothing on one two three Four's binding little click there and we got this open okay folks I don't know about you but I love being able to see the internals of a lock cut away cylinders essentially give you a form of x-ray vision letting you watch the exploit in real time and understand it better so I hope you enjoyed this but that's all I have for you today if you do have any questions or comments about this please put them below if you like this video and would like to see more like it please subscribe and as always have a nice day thank you
