11v11 Rocket League on a massive field

for as long as i can remember playing rocket league i've always dreamed of trying out the game at a huge scale it is car soccer after all so what would it look and feel like to have an actual 11 versus 11 match on a massive field just like real soccer the field part is no problem lethemer created a two-time size field a while ago the problem is you can't actually have more than eight players in a game in rocket league bots are no problem but 22 human players that's simply impossible even the best rocket league modders have never been able to crack that player limit so we've never been able to try the dream 11v11 match well all that changed last month when a workshop mapped community by the name of community workshop games broke the player limit this is a huge development for the scene and as far as i know these are the only guys to have ever done it in rocket league's five year existence the community is led by balanced waffle and jet fox who i promptly got into contact with about finally making the 11v11 match a reality here's how it went down musty verge lethar and i would be team captains and the community workshop games community would supply the 18 additional players we would play two four and a half minute halves or essentially a nine minute game like 90 minutes kind of like soccer i had the idea to give our teams offensive and defensive positions to keep things a little more organized but we decided to try the first game with no position assignments just to see what would happen if all 22 players could roam free would the teams be disciplined and space out or would we all ball chase like little kids for the first time ever we would finally find out for the second game we would add a slight boomer mode for more power and also assign positions when we got to the field we found that each player had a special name and profile pick wow these teams are incredible look at all the things blink it's like a christmas tree this is legendary this is rocket league history all right go for it thomas all right i'm playing speed flip i can do two speed flips play in the midfield the way to kick off so everyone come to the middle everyone come to the middle of the field wow sex tuple commit all right so all the all the players who are not picked yet come over here where i'm at where i'm jumping yeah that's a line up and you guys will drive from one team the the name i think i'm looking at uh there's a 1700 there by the name of octane robin he's probably got no name things robin he's always going to cut to the left we know that if we're going off the the past trend then i'm looking at a dda drop shot that's uh what is p3 that platinum three that's platinum yeah yeah okay you want to take the plaid as a power move kenny danglishly muffins we're kind of lacking in the midfield in defense right now musty who are you thinking david beckwith i mean all right we're rocking with david let's take ramali luke uh lingkuru i'm thinking either him or sugandi sukundis what is it we select candace crossbar says come on over to the musty birch side raymond dominus ooh they got madrid shot there demo very peak on reed let's go for land and minivan okay here we go right all right that's the squad there we go you guys ready yep service let's go as they say in soccer service all right i'm going to the moon oh my god i'm going to take double taps i'm below you left somewhere i'm waiting 30 minutes to drop i'm mid yep down to you about oh that's a foul suarez is always playing so dirty i'm pretty jumping fight your car he bit my car yeah you bit hard wow there's look at all the defenders oh my look at them i'm falling back chilling just waiting it's so beautiful read it read it look at all the players up it's like it looks like a rocket goal explosion the entire lobby is in the box hey man it's it's not touching the ceiling it's not touching the ceiling somehow what a save it's crazy how big the net is but we haven't scored like it's actually yeah hit me every time there's eight people on the ball every single time go landon minivan nice i backflip but on purpose this is the absolute dream this is just like a real soccer match like they're goalie i'm demoing their goalie nice that's halftime by the way guys and that's oh [Applause] 10 seconds after half time 10 seconds yes there's a little bit of stoppage oh it's an own goal all right well that's the first half oh get it again oh what is happening something's happening i'm middle i'm middle i'm on the wall i'm on the wall that was the most beautiful thing i've ever seen look at this look at this formation behind left everyone went up with left literally four players were like oh yeah the constant air show it's so big yeah it is yeah i think the plot the the picking up the plot was the the move honestly something yeah that one went up it's going up someone's got that surely right somebody's got it yeah i can't ball off of somebody what a dunk by raymond dominus imagine this with all pros what if they're all calming dude nice good pop all right 30 people are up i'm waiting left is over me very nice very nice what a touch get it out get it out get it out oh big break away break away huge franklin look at this race a race to get back oh that's 90. well let's don't let them play this attack still in the air it's still in the air it's still in the air that's full time that's full time that's full test the first 11v11 rocket that's my teammate we should do a boomerang in addition to a slight boomer mode for this game we also assigned team goalkeepers attackers and defenders so there would be a little less chasing since it was clear that if there are 22 rocket league players in a game there will be at least 10 players on the ball at all times we know that now [Music] wait wait wait there we go is hitting the ceiling okay there we go unless kane ice on the hit our cap we're good we're good oh nice oh what a clear oh this morning [Music] i'm waiting middle wait it's actually coming to me i keep thinking it's going to hit the ceiling i know it's just never done yeah all right so now offense is on defense defenses on offense okay can we hold this one-nil lead join your team again okay we gotta lock down you can beat verge you can beat oh you just beat nine people oh there's like so many when you dust nine players kenny oh getting any backpack any backboarders any backbone anybody i'm just i'm just running back and forth oh my god look at that thing is it in get in there get in there get in there right now oh i can't tell how many people are hitting that either [Music] let's switch goalies we have an absolute monster in our net keep it up there's 11 there's 22 of us on the field if this drop this really should
