[Music] it's tough being a superhero you spend most of your time fighting evil and trying not to die it's a constant battle and sometimes the stress gets a little too much for even superheroes to handle break so not occasion they might just dabble in a bit of evil to let off some steam quite unfortunate after all they're only metahuman before we get into how good it is to be bad you should spider-man wasn't so friendly but you don't need to be reminded of that who could forget the most awkward most ridiculous dance sequence in superhero history during Marvel's Secret Wars arc spider-man gets a fancy new black suit to swing around in the city the look was actually created by a fan as part of a contest by marvel unfortunately the fans were not fans of the new look so Marvel had to find a way to get him out of the suit spider-man began acting strange becoming more and more aggressive and violent as it turns out the suit was infected with an evil symbiote which was slowly causing Peter Parker to change to the dark side when Peter finally comes to the realization as to what's going on he tries desperately to remove the suit but the symbiote clings tighter to a thankfully with the help of mr. fantastic Spidey finally removes the suit and rids himself of the symbiote in need of a new host the symbiote launches onto Eddie Brock giving us one of spider-man's most memorable adversaries venom our mutants dangerous I'm afraid that's an unfair Jean Grae early on Jean Grae wasn't exactly the most powerful of the x-men in fact she was probably one of the weakest members that all changed though when she became the Phoenix while dying of solar radiation she was taken over by the Phoenix force turning into one of the most powerful mutants in history she was great to have around she even prevented the destruction of the entire universe but let's not forget what this list is about Jean fell under the control of mastermind and although she was eventually able to break free from his control the damage had already been done Phoenix turned into Dark Phoenix and in doing so turned against the x-men she even left to a different solar system and destroyed the entire thing along with the five billion beings that live there upon a return professor Eck's was able to best her in a psionic battle turning her back to her old self however she ended up losing control once again and this time ended her own life comic books never really kill off their characters and Jean was able to reform back into the Phoenix only to lose control once again this was later retconned but it was revealed that dark Phoenix was actually just the Phoenix force and Jean was safe and sound in a healing cocoon Scarlet Witch Pietro and Wanda Maximoff also known as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are the twin offspring of magneto they were separated from their father before they were born but later magneto saves them from him off being in his debt they joined the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and fight against the x-men when magneto is later captured by stranger the twins abandon that whole track and join up with the Avengers down the line Wanda and vision marry and have two children together to make a long and crazy storyline short Wanda loses her children and in an effort to bring them back she seeks out the help of Doctor Doom the to summon a powerful entity that ends up merging with Scarlet Witch the entity takes over her and due to the effects of its power she believes the Avengers are responsible for her children's death she's not a happy camper and in the chaos that follows vision and Hawkeye are both killed in order to stop her The Avengers have a serious discussion about killing her Quicksilver learns this and convinces her to create an alternate reality to save her life in the end like in most cases everything is undone and things go back to normal but it just is most important meal of day don't think God Colossus Colossus grew up in Russia with his brother Mikhail and younger sister Elena yes at age 13 he saved his sister from a runaway tractor gaining the attention of Charles Xavier who convinced him to leave his home and attend the school for gifted youngsters many years later Elena became the first casualty of the legacy virus a terrible plague that ripped through the mutant community the loss of his sister combined with the strain of being forced to stay in his armored form caused Colossus to second-guess his situation with the x-men and drove him instead to join Magneto and the acolytes in Avalon shortly after his admission to the acolytes the x-men attacked Avalon and Colossus fought against his old friends the battle ended when an Xavier put magneto into a vegetative state and Colossus left to find his old flame Kitty Pryde he found her in the arms of another lover named Pete wisdom and losing control he attacked him the fight didn't last long and once the men sorted out their differences Colossus became a member of their team called Excalibur Excalibur was later dissolved however and he made his way back to the x-men I can do it they did to me what I am can't be undone Wolverine you'll notice there are quite a few flip-floppers in the x-men universe while fighting with magneto on Avalon magneto strips the adamantium right from Wolverines bones leaving him in ruin after conducting some experiments they found that the adamantium was actually slowing his healing factor now that it was out of him he could heal more quickly and he was also becoming more animalistic Logan left the x-men and was later captured by Genesis who wanted to make him one of his Horsemen of apocalypse but when he tried to graft Wolverine skeleton with new adamantium his body rejected him and he became more of an animal than a man upon regaining consciousness and joining back with the x-men Wolverine is captured again but this time by apocalypse he's forced to fight Sabretooth and as the victor of the fight he seals his fate apocalypse gains control over him and after successfully rejoining the adamantium 2 Wolverine turns him into his horseman of death under the control of apocalypse Wolverine fought against the x-men the whole world out there is full of people that hate and fear you you're wasting at time trying to protect them thankfully his old team was able to help him break from apocalypses control and he rejoins the x-men come a long way since the garage fantastic Reed Richards mr. fantastic isn't so fantastic anymore in his defense he had a pretty rough week and he couldn't handle the stress of the destruction from Magneto the Fantastic Four disbanding and sooo turning down his marriage proposal but no one could have anticipated what would happen next Reed faked his own death and hired aliens to blow up his family home with his family still inside he also arranged attacks on a few other buildings including Peter Parker's home along with the bodies of dead shield agents sue and Nova discovered Reed in project Pegasus controlling the attacks a fight ensued and Reed ended up being sucked into a portal leaving him stranded in the negative zone the heroes of Earth pay him a visit later and destroy his new lair along with his alien minions and half his face he later finds a way to escape the negative zone puts together a group called the children of tomorrow assumes the alias the maker and you guessed it plots to take over the world usually Marvel will find a way for a character to change back to be here oh but that bridge may be burned at this point Reed Richards is one of the few heroes turned villains who has actually remained a villain or something there's nothing you can give me that I want angel if you don't know which x-men Angel is it's not difficult to pick him out of the crowd he's the one with the massive feathery angel wings at least most of the time also if you've heard of the mutant harpoon yeah he's the one with the harpoons during the mutant massacre crossover event harpoon harpoons angel's wings and after they become infected they're forced to amputate angel was an angel without his wings he would do anything to get them back that's when our good friend apocalypse shows up he's offered to create new wings for him in exchange for his services as one of his four horsemen angel became archangel and with his shiny new wings served as the horseman of death angel was one of the original members of the x-men and an extremely skilled fighter so fighting against his old team proved relatively simple things were looking bleak until Iceman was able to help him turn back into his old self again however apocalypse left a lasting impression on him and he was never able to get truly back to who he used to be he does however gain the ability to switch between his angel and archangel forms so definitely worth it iron man some people look at iron man as the villain in the Civil War story arc but he isn't half as bad as he is in the crossing Kang the Conqueror is a time-traveling fatty and in one particular future he calls himself a mortis in this timeline a mortis discovers a way to essentially hack into the Iron Man suit along with Tony Stark he's able to control Tony and manipulates him into doing some pretty evil stuff in fact he even got stark to kill some of the members of the Avengers allies before they could get him to snap out of it it has to be through having no other option to completely expel immortus Tony makes the ultimate sacrifice and kills himself but as we know no one really stays dead in comics a teenage version of Tony from the past was brought to the present to help stop the Tony corrupted by a mortis when President Tony died team Tony stayed and served as Iron Man nobody likes it when their characters were placed we wouldn't want another Spiderman clone Fiasco on our hands teen Tony was later merged together with a reborn Tony and everything went back to the way it was surprised hey let's just burn you up that a boy like me saved your life huh gotta be careful I might not be there next time Cyclops if the title didn't already belong to Spider Man Scott Summers could have been called your friendly neighborhood Cyclops he was just about all-american nice guy is Captain America that is until he made a series of unfortunate decisions that would see him down a dark dark path it all began when Jean Grey died and Scott married Madeleine prior he had a son named Nate who in the future became cable but Scott left his son and wife in the dust when he learned that Jean was still alive he did do the honorable thing down the line by trying to save his son and merging apocalypse but of sharing a body with an evil mutant is just a recipe for disaster even after being separated from apocalypse Scott was never the same he cheated on Jean with Emma Frost formed a new team called the x-force and didn't invite Emma and let a fellow mutant execute some people later on Scott is possessed by her old friend the Phoenix force and then the real fun begins he kills Professor X makes the world into a totalitarian state and after he's finally stopped he escapes prison and starts recruiting mutants to join his own evil mutant school like some kind of magneto jr. the Incredible Hulk in an alternate timeline the world as we know it comes to an end after a nuclear war the big green fella loves that radiation stuff so he survives and actually grows stronger he's also able to hold on to his Bruce Banner brain while remaining in Hulk mode making him even more of a powerhouse so the Hulk lives billions of people die and being an amazing spectacle of strength and intelligence he decides to become the ruler of Earth sure there were other superheroes that survived the nuclear warfare and radiation but any of those people who tried to oppose the Hulk were quickly ground to make his bread and even kept various trinkets from their outfits as souvenirs of his kills he adopted the name maestro and ruled the planet with an iron fist the only being able to stand up against him was the past Hulk who was brought to the future by rebels but with maestro's years of experience exposure to radiation and superior intellect belk was no match for him in one last attempt to stop him they transported maestro to the past and blew him up with the very bomb that turned Bruce Banner into the Hulk or so it seemed oh it's definitely the end times so there you have it even superheroes go a little crazy sometimes it's not always their fault and most of the time they don't stay that way
