[Music] dealing with deaths and movies is hard enough as it is but there's something different about an animated film sure it's easy to predict when the villain will meet his demise or if a character passes away at the beginning of a movie but it's those unpredictable death scenes which become too hard to handle grab your tissues and relive some deaths you never saw coming before you watch click subscribe you'll join our notification squad and be the first to know a brand new content and can you guess which movie is represented by these emoji stay tuned to the end to find out its stoic for two films we watch the father and son journey between stoic and hiccup the How to Train Your Dragon franchise built up their relationship in a natural arc with both characters understanding each other and even building on their bond through multiple animated series by the time How to Train Your Dragon 2 is released we saw stomach and hiccup closer than ever too bad it wouldn't last long everything will be ok once toothless became controlled by the bewilder beast it looked like hiccup was about to get blasted but stomach does the heroic thing by jumping in front of the blast for his son the blast was fatal Stoics death was permanent and fans were crying dragon sized tears in the theatres the poor guy had everything going his way not only did he have a newfound relationship with the son but he just reunited with his long-lost wife and their love was strong as ever just when you think everything was going good DreamWorks really stuck it to us as if the death wasn't hard enough an extended funeral scene makes it feel as permanent as it is at least the loss gave hiccup the motivation to become a true Viking leader as he defeated Drago and saved his Viking clan she glowing right up did Frank look how she lights the sky ray we kill bugs everyday without another thought SWAT flies stomp ants vacuum up spiders if it's such commonplace to do this then why was it so hard to watch the little lightning bug ray died in Disney's The Princess and the Frog after helping Tiana discover clues about the voodoo powers ray is literally stomped on by doc facili er to make the scene even more heart-wrenching Ray's little light slowly fades out until it is no more and the character dies ouch we'll put our fly swatters away now not only was the death heartbreaking but it was unprecedented for a Disney film to do this loveable side characters are supposed to be safe from fatal deaths could you imagine flounder getting eaten by Ursula's eels what George Timon and Pumba chow down by a group of hyenas Olaf melting away into a puddle of water and then get sucked up by a straw Hans is holding too far well you get the picture the sidekicks are there for support and laughs but Disney really threw a curveball with the death of Ray he may have just been a bug but the characterization and journey they went on made us all attached to him before he met his untimely demise the Iron Giant all right this one's conflicting if you haven't seen the Iron Giant don't it is not a bad movie it is a fantastic movie but the sacrificial death at the end will have you wondering how an animated film could make you feel so heart-wrenching Lee earth-shatteringly sad oh yeah spoiler alert The Iron Giant gets it in the end throughout the whole movie The Iron Giant learns about humans emotions and bonds with a young boy one missile launch later and everything he's learned culminates in a death to save others as the missile is about to rain down on the town the Iron Giant launches himself up in the sky and collides with the missile above the Earth's atmosphere as debris flies everywhere we realize the Iron Giant has died as a hero his last line about becoming Superman was just another layer to the sadness one lone bolt holds some hope for the future during the closing moments of this film the bolt rolls away and begins forming with other parts despite his heroic death the Iron Giant may live on another day how about that long-awaited sequel I fear the wounds are fatal do not grieve Optimus Prime Michael Bay has directed five live-action Transformers films but none of them seem to have the same emotional pull as the 1986 animated picture Transformers the movie the film has great characterization solid animation and one of the saddest character deaths in all of transformers history early in the movie we witness Optimus Prime's death and are sent reeling as the rest of the film continues Optimus Prime showcases his best battle form in the movie as he takes on a huge group of Decepticons all on his own and manages to destroy every single one of them without a break in sight Optimus must battle his nemesis Megatron and the to end up both mortally wounding one another the other Autobots try to save Optimus but it's to no avail the hero dies on his death bed and passes the mantle to Ultra Magnus and movies like this you'd expect Optimus Prime to make some big comeback at the end but it just doesn't happen a circuit doesn't spark up a miracle cure isn't set in place and the only thing living on is Prime's words of wisdom to the other Autobots with the matrix this is one of the reasons the animated film still remains popular with transformers today man that theme song Stan Bush mr. whiskers going into Tim Burton's stop-motion remake a Frankenweenie one thing was clear the dog was gonna die we took this in stride knowing young Victor had the ability to bring the dog back to life again what we didn't expect was to see the demise of poor mr. whiskers owned by the character aptly named weird girl mr. whiskers essentially did nothing wrong the cat was cute and could predict omens for people litter box but largely stayed out of everyone's business unfortunately when you bite a bad at the same time lightning strikes bad things are bound to happen mr. whiskers was transformed into some type of vampire cat who decided to wreak havoc on Frankenweenie and Victor during the climactic moments of the movie mr. whiskers is involved in a huge barn fire which results in a pretty gruesome death not only does the cat get a wooden stake through the heart but it burns to death while Frankenweenie survives if Frankenweenie and other town pets could get brought back to life then mr. whiskers should have been given a chance as well even if you're a dog lover it's pretty cruel to see the cat written off as a monster while the dog gets to live again justice for mr. whiskers I am squeaky shoe Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a movie unlike anything we had ever seen before while sitting in all of the scene with Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny or the piano duel between Daffy Duck and Donald Duck there's one scene that's too hard to ignore sorry you all know what we're talking about the poor killing of squeaky shoe as the judge tries to clean up toontown and get a massive highway built he introduces a deadly substance known as the dip for no explanation other than a possible annoying squeak the shoe is selected as a demonstration of the dips power it's pretty horrible to see the squeaky shoes scream in pain as it disappears inside the deadly liquid even though it was just a shoe it clearly had life it had eyes a mouth and in the brief moment we saw it a little personality the only thing sadder is thinking about the shoe and sell shoes come in pairs there's clearly another squeaky shoe out there somewhere wondering where it's partner-in-crime went off to did he get D laced somewhere no it's far worse my friend far far worse at least judge doom gets his in the end a little karma and vengeance for the shoe Doc Hudson Doc Hudson was the heart of the original Cars movie back in 2005 let's race the former racer settled down in route 66 where he served the town's folk spread his wisdom and dealt with the self-centered racer when he invaded their small community voiced by Paul Newman mother pictured her Hudson added a lot to the first film and the character was supposed to continue on for the sequel as Cars 2 was in pre-production stages Paul Newman passed away he never recorded any more lines for Doc Hudson so a number of the plans for the second film had to be tweaked and changed they could have made the character not involved in the story or appear in a quick cameo but they quietly killed him off instead tow mater and Lightning McQueen visit his Memorial Museum in the second film forcing viewers to put the puzzle pieces together cars three Donner Doc Hudson even further by using him for flashback scenes and splicing together audio for some newly animated clips his backstory became extremely important to the characters but his death still remains a mystery car crash blown engine one of those annoying recalls you may never know how he died but at least his spirit is alive Bing bong for a majority of the film inside out we followed the journey of joy as she navigates Riley's world and tries to make her happy after her family moves thanks to the shocking death of a character we end up relating a lot more to sadness and you could probably toss a little fear in there as well during one of the thrilling action sequences in the film joy and sadness must escape the memory dump to continue their journey along with them on the ride is Bing bong an imaginary friend Riley made up years bing-bong knows his time is dwindling in Riley's mind and decides to sacrifice himself so joy and sadness could escape the memory dome after the escape we watch in witness bing-bong slowly fade away erasing from rileys memory forever it's sad enough to see the character go but the meaning behind it is truly tragic the loss of bing-bong is the loss of innocence the end of those days where you had adventures in your head and stories to tell we all have probably had imaginary friends and stories disappear from our minds just like Bing bong seeing in an animated form like this only hits you even harder your mind is already so prodigiously empty that there is nothing in it to clear away in the first place Vitruvius in the lego movie and it is guided through his adventure thanks to the wisdom and knowledge of the character known as a true vyas not only does Vitruvius lead them through all sorts of adventures but he also can't do some destruction of his own shoe shoe - this could with that while trying to take out Lord business Vitruvius impresses us with crazy skills and moves as he destroys dozens of skeleton robots just when you think he's about to celebrate Lord business launches a penny and beheads the lego character but Rubeus is instantly killed although his talking head is able to give some more words of wisdom before he's officially turned into a ghost a mentor death is typical in journey films like this but this one really came out of nowhere the death was very sudden and happened just after Vitruvius had a heroic moment in the world of legos heads pop off all the time but in the movie the death was legitimate towards the end of the film the big reveal showcases a real child playing with the Legos and they are all actually toys this still doesn't change Vitruvius death film while the super glued Legos are set free thanks to some special minerals nothing is made of a true vyas or the ability to put his head back on if your heart goes in a spin the big hint at record who's pup of your school jack and the cuckoo clock heart originally made in France released in the United States in 2013 the animated film Jack and the cuckoo clock heart features a quirky story unique animation and catchy songs woven throughout it the sawasdee image the fairy tale follows a young boy who was born in the coldest day ever recorded because of this his heart was a solid block of ice and was replaced with a cuckoo clock heart there were three rules for his mechanical heart he couldn't lose his temper play with the hands of the clock or fall in love well as Jack grew up he did what many boys do and fell in love as his fondness grew the love blossom between Jack and Miss Acacio this is where you would think the happy ending would cue in the love would only make his heart grow stronger the rules will be broken and Jack could survived through it all this wasn't the case as Jack kisses Acacio for the first time time stops for Jack everything freezes and he slowly climbs a staircase to heaven and credits roll and we're all left feeling depressed over poor jack he chose love of her life and just one kiss ended it all and there you have it what death do
