Movie Mistakes Animators Made Without Getting Caught COMPILATION

animation is without a doubt one of the most popular genres in the film industry beloved by kids adults and everyone in between they are some of the year's most successful films but despite the amount of time it takes to animate these films sometimes mistakes inevitably are made and make it into the final cut we can't fault the animators too hard they do amazing work but once we see them we can't unsee these mistakes that ended up in the film nonetheless before we count them down though be sure to click that subscribe button if you haven't already you went you little Dickens Zootopia Zootopia was a huge hit for Disney not only getting heaps of critical praise and great earnings at the box office but the film also won best animated picture at the 2017 Academy Awards how's that for bragging rights but despite all the praise and the power of the mouse house behind it some animation mistakes inevitably made their way into the final cut the film follows Lieutenant Judy Hopps valedictorian and parking duty officer for the local Police Department on her first day though she ends up getting hustled by none other than Nick Wilde and his associate Finnick and so the movie begins Judy lives in a pretty dingy apartment but it's in this apartment where we get to mistakes in the same sequence judy tosses her notebook next to her alarm clock after a terrible day thing is that alarm clock was on the windowsill in the previous scene in the apartment the notebook actually disappears between shots making us wonder if her apartment is actually haunted by some kind of poltergeist needless to say we think the animators definitely weren't as focused on the details in this scene but we won't fault them for it they still made an awesome movie because if I stay here I'm gonna get released back to the ocean finding dory Finding Nemo still ranks as one of Pixar's top films so it's a bit surprising it took that long to come up with a sequel better late than never we guess in 2016 we got to team up with Nemo Marlin and Dory yet again in finding dory which saw the forgetful blue tang star in her own film Dora's adventure Cesar's searching for family this time around and they head towards California which caused the story to remember key moments of her past she eventually ends up captured by a wildlife preserve though and meets up with the extra grouchy Hank the local octopus - one tentacle with the help of Hanks spider-man like abilities Dory is able to navigate the hallways and rooms of the institution looking for clues it's here where we get a bizarre animation mistake while navigating the hallway Hank sees that a person is coming down it in their direction as he hides we get a good look down the hallway in question despite being pretty unimpressive in the previous shots there's a sudden water fountain that magically appears in the next shot nestled between two pictures the fountain clearly wasn't that important to the employees I interrupted from the top hero of men go Moana we still have the music for Moana stuck in our heads but that's not a bad thing it was really good after all but despite how fun and charming that film was we can't help but notice some animation mistakes that made its way into the final cut of course we try not to let this ruin our enjoyment of the film but sometimes we just can't help it Moana xanimation was straight-up gorgeous especially the water animation the ocean has never looked more alive in the animation Jonathan but despite the level of attention that went into designing it and other aspects of ancient Polynesia it's the simplest thing we often forget when Luana heads into the cave and discovers the ancient ships lying dormant an animation mistake actually happens right under your nose ever catch it when we first see the ship she walks on the beaches bare except for the sand obviously but cut back to a shot of the shoreline and a sudden rock has appeared on the beach perhaps there's actually a giant crab that moved in between shots but we're gonna chalk this one up to two different sets having been animated and spliced together I'm gonna need some alone time oh sure yeah Batman The Killing Joke many keep on forgetting but animation isn't limited to family-friendly material true those films are the most popular and often earned their respective Studios a boatload of money but there are some great animated films out there that are tailored for a more mature audience take Batman The Killing Joke for example based on the insanely popular graphic novel of the same name written by Alan Moore no less The Killing Joke sees the Dark Knight go up against the Joker at his most cool and twisted to the point where he may have actually broke Batman the film adaptation made some changes though and those were very polarizing amongst fans one such was the romantic relationship between Batman and Batgirl but now there's another reason to not be as lukewarm about these scenes as there is in fact an animation mistake during the scene where these two get together Batman's hands actually move locations between shots perhaps the animators hadn't decided what Batman should be doing in the moment but it's clear that there were multiple ideas about where it should go what are your thoughts on the animated versions inclusion of a romance between Batman and Batgirl let us know so is he an anemone or a plankton the Spongebob movie sponge out of water a lot of us grew with SpongeBob SquarePants and regularly reference him and his antics to this day heck many moments from the beloved TV series are popular memes and gifs to this day the franchise was insanely popular to the point where it even got a few big screen films most recently in 2015 sponge out of water the film focuses in on the Krusty Krab and its main competition the Chum Bucket which is run by plankton spongebob a fry cook at the Krusty Krab has been guarding the secret to the Krabby Patties from plankton for years now naturally since this is a spongebob feature all manner of mayhem ensues and we have ourselves quite the adventure during the film spongebob and his crew find themselves stranded on Pelican island due to being a nervous individual Squidward ends up releasing some ink into the ground as a result of his condition in need of some ink spongebob uses it for his pen which if you think about it it's pretty gross but in the following shot all of that ink somehow magically vanished we don't think spongebob used that much ink and his message if he did that would have been an impressive letter hi I'm brown charlie I mean Barney clown I mean the peanuts movie the peanuts movie might be a bit more underrated than most of the other films on this list but it was still a critical and commercial success and is one of the more charming films in recent memory offering some great nostalgia for fans of Snoopy and Charlie Brown the film's plot was actually a heck of a lot simpler than most animated films in recent memory it revolved around Charlie Brown trying to get noticed by the new girl in class while also learning to stand up for himself and break out of his shell of it but as we all know Charlie Brown is a bit of a blockhead but that's why we like him so much one of the subplots in the film came with Snoopy writing his own story which in turn we got to see acted out as a world war 1 flying a spectacle as he drafts his story he gives his pages to Woodstock to get his opinion Woodstock proceeds to Chuck the pages into the trash though as this goes on though Charlie Brown runs into the shot from the front of the house when he approaches Snoopy all the papers and trash have magically disappeared from the shot we don't think Woodstock has the strength to fly away with them hello I am baymax your personal healthcare companion big hero 6 where's our big hero 6 sequel we know we're getting a TV series on Disney XD but we want more baymax on the big screen we loved this Marvel like adaptation that Disney produced back in 2015 which featured a young yet highly intelligent boy team up with his brothers robot baymax in a quest to save the world spoilers if you haven't seen big hero 6 by now what are you waiting for in the film a terrible accident leaves our young protagonist hero without his brother the two of them would spend a lot of time together at the local university where hero's brother Tadashi has been working in the same field as Professor Callaghan early on the professor asks Hiro if he can see some of his microbots in the first shot we see him wearing a blue shirt his vests cut to the close-up and Hiro hands over his creation to the professor's outstretched arm there's a problem though the shirt is now red furthermore when we cut back to the white shot callaghan's shirt is blue again it's likely the animators mixed up the character models in this scene as Callahan can be seen wearing a red shirt a few scenes later after Hiro's demonstration knows how to fill me up with gas Chuck cars cars three raced into theaters earlier this summer and was seen by many fans and critics as a step up from the notorious Cars 2 the film created by Pixar yet again centers on Lightning McQueen the seven-time piston cup champion and his newfound rivalry with an up-and-coming hotshot named Jackson's storm due to storms cutting-edge technology a lot of the older cars like Lightning are finding themselves outdated and unimportant to the scene you can bet we'll have something on cars 3 when it hits video but for now we're going to take a step back and look at cars 1 the film has a pretty unusual yet funny scene with Lightning and his friend mater ending up tipping some tractors which would be the car's equivalent of cow tipping in the scene mater sneaks up on some sleeping tractors and scares them awake causing them to end up springing backwards resulting in their engines facing the sky there's a problem here though we see mater flip two tractors before we get a wide shot where he gets the whole field in that shot the two tractors that are already up are nowhere to be seen chances are they didn't just drive away so where'd they go awkward not you're awkward but just because we're I'm backward you're gorgeous wait what frozen frozen is one of the biggest films in recent memories so of course we had to include it on our list the film was full of great and memorable characters nice twists and a cool play on Disney zone conventions it also had some catchy tunes that we still can't help hum every now and again what we can't help it in the film elsa kind of puts the kingdom in deep deep deep deep snow and it's up to her sister anna to save the day by this point we're all pretty familiar with the hair animation to do which saw Elsa's hair pass directly through her shoulder now that's a pretty huge mistake but we know you know that one so here's one you may not be as familiar at one point in the film Hans and his guards end up at Elsa's ice castle and encounter the terrifying snow monster known as marshmallow wasting no time he knocks two guards aside and into a snow mound but there's clearly nothing around them aside from snow upon impact we cut away for a few moments as the guards notice Elsa at the castle door when we return to the two guards on the snow there's a sudden crossbow bolt just lying there ready to be used well that sure is convenient cars three after the lackluster success that was cars to which abandoned lightning as the central character and fared lukewarm with critics many were unsure if the Pixar franchise would ever come back for a third installment after a lengthy six-year wait cars three raced onto the big screen thankfully for fans of the racing series and for Pixar Cars three fared much better than its predecessors returning lightning to the front of the pack and making the film fun for the whole family it didn't rates the financial success at Cars 2 hat but at least it was a better film but the film wasn't perfect and like all animated movies some mistakes made their way into the final cut one that we caught was a continuity error concerning the color of a truck in the scene where lightning arrives to the Rusty's racing center he's swarmed by media upon his arrival but let's pay attention to the truck on lightnings left before he enters in one shot the truck is dark purple but as the camera cuts to the interior of the building same exact truck has transformed into a red truck guess the animators had two different character models in place that got swapped into the final cut on this one [Music] captain Underpants the first epic movie tralala based on the immensely popular book series for kids Captain Underpants is the story about two boys who are often up to no good they're good hearted kids but they have the need to prank and be silly which infuriates their principal the two boys love to draw comic book starring a character of their own creation titular Captain Underpants and the principal finally goes too far and puts the boys in separate classes only a 3d hypno drink and save their friendship and turn the principal into the superhero that they created but before that happens the boys get sent to the principal's office and you know that would likely spell instant doom for anyone first of all we just have to say that the fan blowing the toupee in the air as it passes is hysterical but this scene is also the culprit of this movie's mistake that you totally didn't notice on the desk mr. Crump has a giant red button that he presses to lock the boys in his office after they try to walk out it's a pretty big button but in previous shots as we look down at George and Harold from the top of the desk there's clearly no button on the desk was the button hidden under a trapdoor or something where'd you go up dori me um finding dory it's surprising that it took Pixar so long to make a sequel to the beloved classic Finding Nemo thankfully in 2016 we got one in the form of a sequel spin-off titled finding dory the plot this time around centers on the forgetful dory who embarks on quest to find her own parents with the help of Nemo and Marlin from the first film the quest brings them to the American West Coast this time around and before long Dory is captured and brought to a wildlife rehabilitation center at least she wasn't in any immediate danger this time around she makes some new friends here including Hank and even meet some old ones like the Whale destiny destiny indirectly gives us this film's mistake at one point in the film an employee from the rehab center is looking for the octopus who's gone missing it again thanks to his camouflage as the employee whose name is Carol searches for Hank we see that she's carrying a white bucket full of water we see the bucket a few times from a few angles and it's blank all around when Carol places the bucket down though the name destiny is suddenly written on the side of the bucket Moana can we all agree that the animation in Moana is top-notch seriously look at that water it's amazing Alanna was a smash hit for Disney bringing in the music adventure in a powerful and relatable heroine while capturing the spirit of ancient Polynesian cultures there are gods and demigods in this world a young girl named Juana finds herself wrapped in an adventure concerning a stone a demigod and feet ocean despite the beautiful animation we talked about earlier there was still a few mistakes in the film in the animation Department one was right at the very beginning of the film and he likely didn't even see it film opens with a demigod Maui voiced by Dwayne Johnson stealing a green stone from the goddess two feet deep which sets the movie in motion defeat he disintegrates and turns into the lava god - Cobb who takes away Maui's magical abilities and hook spoiler alert but before that happens now he launches onto his raft with hook in hand after he steals the stone once he lands on the raft we get a close-up shot of him looking at the stone and we clearly see the hook in his hand and the next shot though it's gone guess Takei was getting a head start you have been promoted you're in charge now Despicable Me 3 ruin the minions returned to the big screen in 2017 with Despicable Me 3 crew has gone from the supervillain to the hero by the time of the third film and has joined the anti-villain league but just because he's no longer a villain doesn't mean that the world is free from wacky villains enter Baltazar brat an eighties child star who's voiced by none other than South Park straight Parker we're also introduced to Drew's long-lost mysterious brother named drew who is also voiced by Steve Carell two brothers were separated at Birth with each baby going with one of the now divorced parents once reunited the two brothers have a lot of catching up to do and one point in the film drew in you are driving up the side of a mountain we clearly see that GRU has his seatbelt on and why wouldn't he the car is driving up a mountain at seven possible angles and breakneck speeds yet in a following shot drew is hanging on from outside the car how did this happen if Drew was strapped in considering drew is a responsible adult now we don't think he decided to unbutton himself mid-drive come on man let's get grooving I could only look you in the eyes right now the lego batman movie using our love of nostalgia and chris pratt doubled with an imaginative story the lego movie became an instant hit and started a whole new block to franchise the first film to be released after the lego movie launched was the lego batman movie which brought the dark knight to gotham city for some great laughs and lots of references for the fans the Batman in this movie version is a hyper exaggerated version of the one we're more familiar with in the books and comics but the last payoff well for fans of the character Batman insults the Joker's feelings early on in the film which causes ultimate revenge being served blocky in Gotham City but before all that goes down Batman spends some time chilling in his mansion and reminiscing about the past Alfred accidentally scares Batman which causes the Caped Crusader to ninja kick him across the hall spilling his tray and its contents in a subsequent shot you see the mess all over the ground blocky snacks on the floor but in the shot that follows the entire messes Khan the food the tray all vanished forget Batman we want to know how Alfred did it hey Kirk Ferdinand Ferdinand is an animated film based off of a book of the same name it follows a pacifist bull voiced by none other than WWE's John Cena as he's forced to compete in the bullfights in Spain it got an Oscar nomination for Best Song and was nominated for Best Animated Picture at the Golden Globes despite the good intentions of the lead bull though is a weird and unusual mistake in the film that seemingly breaks our minds the animals in the film can communicate with one another and can be deciphered as a human language at the end of the day but that's just movie translations working their magic when humans are nearby they don't actually hear the animals talking they just appear animal sounds so how is it then that the little girl Nina knows Ferdinand's name Ferdinand was raised in a bull camp and eventually escaped willing to be adopted by a family there's absolutely no way that they note Ferdinand's name yet they somehow know to call him by his given name perhaps the family can actually speak bull or they're a coven of psychic witches but we think it's likely the animators didn't realize that this was a mistake until it was too late into the rendering process wait to mom and dad hear this hey Templeton what you got there the boss baby it's not much of a surprise to see why the boss baby did as well as it did financially Alec Baldwin was channeling some of the SNL charm and the film about a talking baby in a suit seemed to click with kids and parents making had one heck of a profitable film but despite the big boss the forefront some mistakes got through to the final cut we've actually found two mistakes in the same exact scene early on Tim is looking out the window with his binoculars and daydreaming about dinosaurs this fantasy is broken by the arrival of a taxicab in front of his house with a boss baby inside of it but more he steps out we get a wide shot at the sidewalk which is completely clean yet when we see the boss baby step out sudden leaves are on the ground that were not there before the same exact scene has another mistake that you may not have noticed until now with Tim looking down to the sidewalk we see the curb and his binocular vision face house and in front of the boss baby yet when the camera cuts to behind the boss baby as he steps towards the house the curb has rightfully vanished oh my gosh my own cube I can't believe it I could plant over here button over here I could go an inspirational calendar the emoji movie oh the emoji movie despite being a critical disaster with a nine percent low on Rotten Tomatoes and a 12 percent on Metacritic the call of talking emojis was enough to win kids over and pressure their parents or a ticket the film made over two hundred and fourteen million dollars internationally against a budget of only fifty million the film taking some cues from Toy Story and record rel is about the lives of emojis that live in our phones and what happens when they're not being used of course this being a movie about phones and what goes on inside of them we get plenty of real-world references one such reference came from the emojis playing a game of candy crunch G and the protagonist of the film and voiced by TJ Miller finds himself stuck in the game and needs help getting out he calls for help from jailbreak and she in turn tosses a gum drop at high five the camera then cuts back to jailbreak did you catch the mistake aside from the insane speed that gumdrop was picked up and thrown there is another mistake present here and the initial shots of jailbreak there's nothing on the ground next to her but after she whips a gumdrop at high five a new gumdrop has magically appeared next to jailbreak as she's sickly the flash koko the winner of the 2017 Academy Award for best animated picture koko was an imaginative adventure that brought mexican culture to families around the world the film could be a little heavy at times and as one of Pixar's more mature films as it deals heavily with death but that didn't stop the film from winning audiences over but despite making a killing at the box office and winning the best animated picture award at the Oscars the film does have some mistakes in it towards the end of the film Miguel makes his way to the party hosted by ernesto denna Cruz onto the belief that the famous and long dead musician is his ancestor Miguel plays a tune to catch de la Cruz's attention but he ends up making a fool of himself by falling into the giant guitar shaped pool here's our mistake the geography of the scene at Selma changed Miguel fell into the water near the lower neck of the guitar but emerges with Cruz toward the area where the backstrap pin would be this means that Cruz swam the entire length of the pool with Miguel underwater which makes no sense at all unless you factor in the animators made an honest mistake and won best picture in the end and it's still a
