do you like flying but don't want to be bothered getting a pilot's license this is precisely the reason we've created this list it's got lightweight vehicles that you can start flying as soon as you buy them and for everyone who sticks around until the end we've got a little surprise for you but don't go looking for it at the end you're not going to find it there hi my name is james and here are the 10 aircraft you can fly without a license part 3 let's dive right into it shall we starting off this list we have the aircraft that was first designed by wayne eisen who had a simple design philosophy he wanted to create a cheap simple to build and ultra-light aircraft that the owner could start flying immediately and the 1100r minimax is actually the aircraft that you can build in no time and save a ton of cash while doing so since it's an ultralight model it comes with some pretty basic components the first model comes with a 28 horsepower engine that can be upgraded to a 40 horsepower one this will allow you to achieve speeds of 70 miles per hour to make sure you can enjoy your flight for longer the aircraft comes with a 6 gallon wing tank which can be doubled with another 6 gallon wing tank as far as assembly is concerned it'll take you anywhere from two to three hundred hours to construct but the beauty of it lies in its ability to be upgraded as you gather up more money you can turn the 1100r into the 1500r or the 1600r sport does it look like the f4u corsair used in world war ii well yes yes it does was this design intentional well yes yes it was while it's not as heavy as the world war ii model the german developer jorg holman wanted something authentic he wanted an airplane that would fit in the category of ultra-light aircraft and still be functional and cool that's why he used carbon fiber to make the airplane fit inside the 254 pound weight limit for ultralight aircraft then he fitted it with the three vw four-stroke three-cylinder engine that exudes 42 horsepower and 2500 rmp but unlike our first pick flying a retro plane with a carbon fiber chassis will cost you how much exactly well the aircraft was listed at 75 000 euros which would mean it'd set you back about 91 000 definitely not a cheap option badland aircraft have five basic aircraft kits you can choose from and each is more expensive than the last this would place the f3 somewhere in the middle of this list with a price tag of only 14 875 dollars now it's no 1100r but it's a long way from the jh aircraft corsair the good thing about this aircraft is the fact that you can assemble your very own and the only difference between the f3 speed and the f1 is the 160 nm hydraulic disc heel the spring landing gear and the flapper and tips the removable seat pad and of course you can choose between wood or aluminum for the instrument panel the seat set and the floor while you would have to spend some time smashing that like button if you haven't done so already but no in reality you will have to spend some time assembling the aircraft however in the end you'll still be able to proudly say you built it with your own two hands [Music] this new ultralight plane has made headlines by appearing on kickstarter and their goal is to raise sixty thousand dollars the model that you'll get to build yourself will set you back a measly three thousand nine hundred ninety five dollars and so far they've reached about half of their goal if you look at it closely you'll notice the plane has a low wing design which allows for low speed flying with almost no drag and since many of the ultralight plane fans have stated how hard it is to actually build their own model b light aircraft is made their plane from aluminum and wood on top of that all of the parts are aluminum and wood and they've used carbon fiber and fiberglass for added support compared to the merlin light all the previous ultralight planes look like toys this one has been built with seven windows a cockpit door a hefty baggage space and the coolest part of all is the instrument panel it's got all the buttons the lights and all the gizmos that a major boeing 747 has the only difference is the size of the board if you're wondering about the price tag it's not on the cheap side the base model will set you back about thirty five thousand five hundred dollars but for the price you'll be getting an all-aluminum construction hydraulic brakes tundra tires five position flaps push rod controls and a lot more now this pick is just plain cool it's not big it's not bulky and it gets the job done the only problem is this one seater helicopter is not cheap the russian manufacturers price it at around 2.5 million rubles which is the equivalent to 41 500 ouch but it's got some good cruising speed the motor is capable of going at peak speed of 55 miles per hour while the total weight of the aircraft including the passenger should not surpass 530 pounds and if you fill the 19 liter tank to the brim then you'll be getting about 150 miles of air time why should you go with a gyrocopter instead of an actual ultralight aircraft well the reason's simple and it's called maneuverability that means the gyrocopter can handle windy conditions much safer than other fixed-wing aircraft but what about performance well if you're looking for a base model then your gyrocopter will be able to reach speeds of up to 68 miles per hour and that's with the total takeoff weight of 460 pounds the weight of the driver should not exceed 210 pounds which means that the weight of the aircraft is 250 pounds that's because it's got a metal supporting structure with a carbon composition here's another interesting model we found online the company says that they need customers to place a 7 500 deposit for a kit confirmation the full price tag of the model will run you around fifteen thousand dollars and bear in mind that the engine and the props are not included in that deal for fifteen grand you only get the framework if you want the motor the prop the basic instruments and the parachute be prepared to shell out another ten thousand dollars this just skyrocketed the price tag of the vehicle to twenty five thousand dollars we think that for a 50 mile per hour cruise speed and a gross weight of 550 pounds this one's a bit overpriced hey you yeah you don't forget to smash that like button and hit the notifications bell in return we promise not to annoy you with alerts and only give you valuable info this is the aircraft that was the grand champion winner at oshkosh in 1987. and since then the company's been under new ownership david cooper has acquired the company and he says that they will keep the original models just like before the carlson sparrow will arrive in a box kit that the client can assemble in their home plus david has said they'll try to offer spare parts for the precious models to better serve their clients for all of you that stuck with us thus far here's a little bonus peter saltzman was amazed at jumping and running around so he became a stuntman but this fascination with the adrenaline rush prompted him to create something no man even dared to do before he and the german car manufacturer bmw struck a partnership and created the very first electrically powered wing suit and after three years of testing and many failed attempts they finally did it during his test flight peter was dropped from a helicopter at altitudes reaching 10 000 feet in the air while his other friends were soaring through the skies at speeds of 62 miles per hour saltzman zapped past them with three times the speed that's right the suit was able to allow peter to fly 186 miles per hour in the air now that's what you call an adrenaline rush with 2200 units sold to date this is the most popular ultralight aircraft used today but if it wasn't for the aircraft sails and parts asap this model would have been discontinued a long time ago it was first built in 1986 and it was a single seater produced by spectrum aircraft it featured a 50 horsepower rotax 503 engine but there were problems with production and many companies took on the mantle to create this aircraft with the newest build by asap in the year 2000 the weight of the aircraft mounted to around 340 pounds which meant they would be out of the us bar 103 category luckily this model can still be flown in canada under the basic ultralight category or amateur belt on a different note we want to know which of these flying vehicles made it to your bucket list write it in the comment section below subscribe and smash that like button if you like this video you'll surely love the two recommendations at the end bye for now [Music] [Music] so you
