oh yes watching the majestic blue sky clean of clouds and your beautiful flying machine parked in the dew covered grass runway as a sight to see you feel optimistic energized and although you don't like to admit it a little bit of a rebel once you're seated in the aircraft you know so well the vibration and sound that emits makes you feel confident and eager in seconds you've abandoned the ground and you're airborne the rush of cool air and the sights you see reaffirm once more that this is where you belong welcome to the mysterious and wonderful world of helicopters a place where hoisting hold prefabricated houses and acting death-defying rescues and generally venturing where no other machines can go is all in a day's work these wondrous machines have complex designs and it goes without saying that flying them is extraordinarily complicated the pilot has to think in three dimensions and must use both arms and both legs constantly to keep the helicopter in the air piloting a helicopter requires a great deal of training and skill as well as continuous attention to the machine if you yourself do want to fly but don't want to spend the time or money to get a pilot's license here are 10 aircraft that you can fly right now that's right these aircraft known as ultra lights don't require a pilot's license to fly and to top it all off they're affordable as well but before we get started don't forget to Like share and subscribe to our channel for more amazing videos number 10 cloud hopper balloon the name cloud hopper is often used to refer to a one-person hot-air balloon where the pilot sits in a harness or small seat there's often a propane tank behind the pilots back and the burner is on a frame above the pilots head often the balloons burner tank and pilots harness can swivel independently of the hot air balloon envelope to let the pilot turn to any direction in flight and for landing hopper balloons or jumping balloons consist of nothing more than an air bag and a suspension sling with the primitive bench these are especially handy since the safest places to launch large high-altitude we're located in remote places without real airport facilities in one instance the second lunch of Georgi Prokofiev's ill-fated USSR 3 it took two hopper balloons to untie the tangled Nets on top of the giant balloon the first jumper fell off his bench but managed to hold on to the balloons cables and survived number 9 powered paraglider powered paragliding also known as paramotoring or PPG is a form of ultralight aviation where the pilot wears a back mounted motor which provides enough thrust to take off using a paraglider it can be launched in still air and on level ground by the pilot alone no assistance is required in many countries powered paragliding is minimally regulated and requires no license the ability to fly both low and slow safely the open field the minimal equipment and maintenance cost and the portability are claimed to be this type of flying's greatest merits powered paragliders usually fly between 24 and 80 kilometres an hour at altitudes from foot dragging on the water to up to 18,000 feet due to the paramotor slow forward speed and nature of the soft wing it's not safe in high winds or turbulence after takeoff the pilot gets into his seat and sits suspended beneath the inflated paraglider wing like a pendulum control is available using brake toggles for roll and a handheld throttle for pitch number 8 ultra flight Liz Air the ultra flight Lazare is a family of Canadian designed and built twin-engine ultralight aircraft that were sold in kit form between 1979 and 1984 it was one of the first twin engined ultra lights the less air is a single-seat conventional high wing monoplane with an open fuselage frame inverted V tail and twin tractor propellers it also features some of the first modern winglets to be seen on a light aircraft the combination produces an aircraft with optimized low-speed handling and very gentle stall characteristics two engines were put to use instead of one because he wanted to two of the largest chainsaw motors to obtain the total of 11 horsepower 8.2 kilowatts which was deemed necessary to make the powered glider fly with performance that was acceptable the Lazare was one of the first ultra lights to incorporate twin engines greatly improving the reliability and safety of this class of aircraft number seven phantom x1 the phantom x1 is a single-engine single-seat high wing tricycle gear equipped ultralight aircraft that's produced by phantom aeronautics of Three Rivers Michigan and available in kit form the design was produced by a number of different manufacturers the phantom x1 is constructed from bolted together aluminum tubing the wings and tail surfaces are covered in Dacron sailcloth in the form of pre sewn envelopes the wings are wire brace from an inverted v-shaped king post and feature full span ailerons the engine is mounted on the front of the main tube the tail being mounted on the far end of the same tube the x1 was originally designed as an aerobatic aircraft and was tested before failure and carries operational limits for liability reasons the x1 was never marketed as an aerobatic design number 6 Hummel ultra Cruiser the Hummel ultra Cruiser is an American amateur build aircraft designed by Mori Hummel the aircraft is supplied as a kit with plans for amateur construction or as a complete ready to fly aircraft the ultra Cruiser is designed to comply with u.s. far 103 ultralight vehicle rules including the categories maximum empty weight of 115 kilograms the aircraft has a standard empty weight of 113 kilograms the ultra Cruiser features a single seat open or optionally enclosed fixed conventional landing gear or optional tricycle landing gear and a single engine the aircraft's recommended engine power range is 28 to 45 horsepower and the aircraft is made from sheet aluminum by December 2011 100 examples had been completed and flown number 5 mosquito air now you may want to fly something that is the epitome of cool and you want it to be done from any regular backyard then the mosquito air is the aircraft for you it features a completely open cockpit an engine of 60 horsepower and it can take off and land vertically giving you all the real experience of a true helicopter even though the design may look relatively simple and not at all complicated it comes with their reasonably hefty price tag legally you're not required to be previously trained to fly the mosquito although with blades spinning that close to your head it would be a good idea to know what you're doing number four Benson b8 gyro copter coming in at an impressive number four is the Benson be a gyrocopter igor be Benson 1917 to 2000 was the Russian founder of the Benson aircraft which produced a successful line of gyro gliders rotor kites and auto gyros the Benson b8 is a small single-seat autogyro developed in the United States in the 1950s its design was a refinement of the Benson b7 and like that aircraft the b8 was initially built as an unpowered rotor kite it first flew in this form in 1955 and on December 6th a powered version designated B AM M for motorized first flew the design proved to be extremely popular and long lasting with thousands of sets of plans sold over the next 30 years the bh design is extremely minimalist with not much more to the aircraft than a pilot seat a single tail fin a rotor and empowered versions the powerplant number three Kolbe Firefly the Firefly is a significant breakthrough in ultralight aircraft easy to build and designed to be a legal ultralight it's been observed that most legal ultralight aircraft suffer from a lack of performance the cold Firefly was designed as an ultralight aircraft that would be safe fun and affordable pilots should not have to give up performance when flying in ultralight so it was designed to imitate a real aircraft as closely as possible with a level of performance that could fly rings around other ultralight aircraft after all who wants to drift around like a kite when you can be buzzing through the sky like a fighter the Firefly offers the say features of all Colbert crafts quick folding wings and closable cockpit welded chrome moly Steel fuselage cage and of course outstanding performance number 2 Quicksilver MX 103 bagging a very close second place is the Quicksilver MX 103 the production for these bad boys began in the late 1970s and was designed by Dick Piper at a time when hang gliding was very popular the Quicksilver hang gliders differed from most hang gliders of the time period and that Quicksilver had a rigid rectangular wing and tail with a horizontal stabilizer and a rudder eiper added a seat wheels and a small engine behind the wing of the hang glider and the Quicksilver ultralights was born this aircraft was controlled by pushing a bar forwards and backwards in side-to-side in the same way that hang gliders are controlled this shifted the center of gravity of the aircraft and allowed the pilot to control the plane the Quicksilver MX has majorly evolved over the years a two-seat model was also added for training purposes the Quicksilver aircraft are still in business although they're not producing aircraft in the quantity that they were at the height of the ultralight craze in the mid-1980s and number one airolite 103 securing first place this aircraft is by far the easiest to bend to your will and fly into the sunset with the Aero light 103 is an American single-seat high wing pusher configuration ultralight aircraft and was designed by longtime aviation enthusiast Terry rubber in 1996 the air light 103 is sold as an assembly kit aircraft the kit includes an illustrated assembly manual a pre-built fuselage wings control surfaces and jury struts the wings are covered by the Builder with pre sewn Dacron envelopes the company estimates the time to complete the airframe at 60 to 80 hours the kit does not include powerplant propeller or instruments performing aerobatics and spins with it is strictly prohibited and that's all for today's list if you liked the video please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to click on the notification button for the latest video up dates thanks for
