I didn't like it...
Because I'm jealous as fuck!! #FirstHater
Ok, I may have missed it, but if I didn't, I'll be the one to ask. What do you do for a living in CA that allows a 21 year old to buy a Pitts on a whim (because I'm jealous)?
This is awesome! Makes me wish I learned to fly at a younger age, I flew 12 hours in 2 days, and I was EXHAUSTED, can't imagine doing a trip like yours, I'll probably pass out for a week after it's done.
How long or how many hours of flying do you have under your belt? I feel like I'd be a bit uncomfortable doing a long trip like this solo.
What was the reason to switch fuel from main to wing to main as opposed to using all the main then switching to wing? Is it for weight/balance?
Awesome video, really enjoyed it, hope to see more!
didn't know Frankie Muniz was a pilot too
I did it once from outside Philly to SoCal. It was in a 4 seat 300hp retract, I couldn't imagine having to strap in a Pitts for the same sort of trip. We did 2 legs a day, 3 days. Similar route for similar reasons.
I applaud your tenacity.
If you guys are interested, check out this video I made over the summer when I bought a Pitts S1S and had to fly it back home across the country. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding the flight. Has anyone else flown coast to coast in a single engine airplane? If so, what route did you take?
Nice, looked like a hell of a trip!
Congrats on the airplane purchase and thanks for sharing your story!
Wait... just finished it... first video like this?
This is incredibly well edited.
That is a gorgeous plane.
Also that doggo is awesome.
