ug green Roc Pro 313 and Roc pro 210 or the entire ug green reroc Pro Series range utilizing the links in the description down below and again a massive thanks to ug green for sponsoring this video before we jump into any optimizations or in-game settings my first recommendation would be to ensure that you are actually running on the latest GPU driver for your graphics card even if it's slightly older desktop laptop it does not matter GPU drivers are free easy and provided by your GPU manufacturer so to ensure that you have the latest optimizations any potential fixes and the latest features for your GPU you want to be running on the latest GPU driver at all times first of all before we boot into the game a few very basic Windows settings you want to be making sure that you're using on all games first of all inside a Windows navigate to the bottom click the Windows button and search for game Space mode select game mode settings ensure that Windows game mode has been enabled exit out go back to the Windows button once again this time searching for GPU space settings select graphic settings panel for those of you on the steam version of pal World open up steam right click on pal World navigate down to properties installed files then select browse once you do this a folder should open up on your desktop this is the installation path for pal world what we need to do is navigate towards the top to the navigation bar double click right click and select copy to the entire directory once you've done that exit out go back to the settings menu which you minimized earlier inside of here select browse go to the top to the navigation bar once again this time remove move everything then right click select paste and enter select pal world.exe then select add go down to options ensure that high performance has been selected then select save once that's completed scroll up towards the top go to change default Graphics settings and ensure that you have as many of these options enabled as possible once those are completed exit out a quick and easy optimization tip you should be applying to practically any game you play on your PC is just to ensure that you have unnecessary background applications web browsers or programs closed in the background when you're playing your game to do this my favorite method is to navigate down to the bottom to the task icon tray click this small arrow and start right clicking and selecting close on applications you know you don't need open when playing your games with all the boring stuff out of the way let's jump straight over to steam or the Game Pass version of power world and boot into the game once you have loaded into your game you're more than likely going to want to utilize something to be able to monitor your in-game FPS for me personally I'm using MSI afterburner and reune the statistic server to achieve this overlay on the right hand side of my screen you don't need to monitor your FPS but it definitely helps alternatively in many cases you may already have the GeForce experience installed and have the overlay so try and press alt and r on your keyboard as you can see for me it's appeared in the top right hand side for those of you on AMD gpus press alt and Z on your keyboard navigate over to the metrics overlay enable this you'll then be able to see your FPS and GPU usage in game you don't have to keep this overlay up when you're playing you can quickly and easily just disable it once your settings are done but it definitely helps when optimizing as you can see for me I've started off at about 68 frames per second on an RTX 4060 and I'm playing at 1440p to start off press Escape go to options we'll first of all start off with screen mode and nearly all cases you want to be utilizing full screen for now I'm going to be setting Max fps to No Limit so we can fully optimize our game and potentially look to recap it later on vsync is going to be switched off unless you're someone that really dislikes screen tearing and you don't mind the latency penalty motion blur is going to be switched off in nearly all scenarios next up is anti-aliasing now this setting will defit depending on the specs image you have if you have an Nvidia GPU which supports dlss and you have this option down here in nearly all scenarios you want to be utilizing dlss over anti-aliasing as you can see if we enable dlss you won't be able to adjust anti-aliasing so we want to prioritize using dlss if it's available if dlss isn't available or you don't want to use it for any reason you want to be making use of TSR TSR performs better than standard TAA as you can see I'm gone from about 68 fps to 75 next up we're moving over to the optimized presets on screen now you'll see a few different optimized presets sets which are recommended for different system specs or visual outcomes if you're someone on a lower-end system pause the video copy all of the settings for the lowend config and apply them to your game or for those of you that are on medium end to higher end systems or you want to go with better visual Fidelity go with the recommended preset simply pause the video copy the settings on screen for the config you're going to be going with press Escape then select yes this may prompt you that a restart is required for some settings to change but it's fine most of them should I've gone with the recommended preset and we still aren't done with the optimizations and I'm able to now achieve 103 FPS that's a massive uplift from the original 68 and there's still so much more FPS available now for those of you on Nvidia gpus we're going to be setting up and utilizing dlss dlss can be quite buggy with inside of this game and not apply properly so to ensure that we don't run into that bug you want to set dlss to off go to anti-air lising and set this to TSR once that's been set go back to dlss but then going to set this to balanced press Escape select yes jumping back inside of the game you're now able to see I'm getting 42 FPS and I'm really happy with how this looks if the game looks slightly too blurry then you may want to go with a higher preset of dlss so maybe push it up to Quality if you're still happy with how the game looks but you want even more FPS then you could potentially even go down to dlss Performance now for those of you on AMD gpus unfortunately you do not currently have access to dlss and FSR doesn't seem to be supported in the game yet if you head inside of the graphics menu at the time of you watching this video and there is an option for FSR or Fidelity FX super resolution then you would want to make use of that on a GPU which doesn't support dlss in some cases if you are locked at 120 FPS but the max FPS limit is set to No Limit this setting may be bugged slightly to fix this set the FPS limit back to 120 press Escape select yes press Escape go back to options and set thex FPS limit back to No Limit press Escape once again and go back to the game the same thing happens with dlss if the game looks really bad dlss may not actually be applying the upscaling algorithm as it seems to be a small but rare bug so in that scenario if the game looks terrible with dlss go back to options turn dlss off go back into options Graphics ensure antialising is set to TSR then set dlss back to the preset you're going to be going with and that's it for the bulk of the optimizations for those of you on AMD Radeon 6,000 or 7,000 series gpus if you're looking for a massive FPS uplift you could actually enable amd's brand new AMD fluid motion frames unfortunately this doesn't do anything for latency so for those of you that are sensitive to latency or want really low latency games it's not going to be a setting you're going to want to go with if you're on a supported GPU make sure that you are on the latest GPU driver press alt and Zed on your keyboard head over to the graphics settings and enable fluid motion frames this will then instantly double the FPS in which you're receiving with the start of the game by generating fake frames in between every real frame giving you a much silkier smoother experience at the penalty of a small amounts of latency it's definitely an option you should at least try out because it takes 2 seconds to enable pal world is an unreal engine title and with many Unreal Engine games they don't actually pre-cache the shaders which means every new item entity or object you interact with with inside of the world is being rendered and those shaders are then being cached on your system which leads to those small micro starters you experience you're more than likely experience more of these when you go into new areas or find new items because those shaders haven't been cached yet you're rendering them for the first time so the best thing you can do is play more and you will experience a smoother game the optimizations showcased in this video should be able to help alleviate many of those issues but you still will run into the occasional micro stutter and the only thing you can do is play more all there is left to do now is to jump back into the game and enjoy your brand new fully optimized experience let me know if your results in that comment section down below alongside any other tips or tricks you may have if you're looking for further optimizations make sure that you check out the playlist section in the description down below or if you're not entirely sure where to go next and want more optimization content consider checking out one of the two videos on screen now and I'll see you over there
