[Music] hey guys welcome back to polka sanctuary here in a planet zoo today we're gonna cover education everything you need to know about it everything about all the items we get any common downfalls people seem to be falling for and the all-important question of why guests are not feeling educated so here we are in my zoo it is pretty small at the moment and we are playing in sandbox mode however you can see down here in my star rating we have a five star guest education rating so let's go over everything we need to do to make sure that happens in your zoo as well in facilities down on the bottom you can see on the left hand side we have viewing devices and speakers this will provide us everything we need to know at this moment in time about education further updates or DLCs and things for this game from frontier may add more items but the principles will still be the same we have a variety of speakers as you can see we have music ambience and educational educational is the one you're going to need to provide your guests with education we also have screens which are habitat education boards which as you can see here are effectively flat-screen monitors to show off the information about the animal in the exhibit we have general conservation boards here what these tend to do is give off general information of around the world issues such as deforestation or beep up bee population decline poaching things like that so just general world issues and we have the exhibits education board which is essentially a flat screen TV but for the small exhibits like this which you will find small reptiles spiders and snakes etc inside so what do we do with them ok every guest wants education they want to know about the animal and everything about it and all its flaws and greatnesses so we need to make sure that they are educated at every single viewing point you are going to need to provide some form of education this is at least in my opinion I found this works best and as you can see I have a five-star rating down here so flat screen boards these can be placed at every viewing point they should automatically in the down menu the top animal should automatically be the animal that is inside if you're using a mixed habitat so therefore more than one animal such as a safari etc you would want to use more than one board and display the animals appropriately right around every individual viewing point so I wouldn't have all of them here and have say two animals explained here two here and two here type thing so spread it out accordingly okay we also have speakers so each each viewing point I would have a speaker as well so this heat map down here is very important because it shows everything that we have listed as you can see here there's an education within the park now what I've done here is set a few issues to show you what we do and what this means so if they are marked as black they have no power so all the way over here when we go down you can see this is marked as black because there is no power if I was to give this some power like so they come on as long as you've selected from the drop-down menu something to do with what they need there we go so that's now running excellently and guests can use it to gather education okay back into the heat map here okay incorrect or unassigned education okay if I was to set this education board here to the wrong animal so we'll set this to agar real and I may bring this up you'll see this now has the incorrect or unassigned education so if there's nothing on the screen or it's incorrect it will be yellow this needs to display an animal that is in the habitat it is closest to so we'll go back to saltwater crocodile and there we'll close this off and you can see now it's from blue because they are getting the educational need and they require the bottom here is a warm that's a very important so here we have standard viewing point in fact we'll use one of the easier ones we'll use this one okay here we have a standard viewing point you can see that the guests again education from here but they're also receiving education from this speaker now the speaker itself works very similar to the screen okay so as you can see it's got a drop down menu of the animal that we're using to running you can also change the color of it down here however we have a volume button on this one so if you decrease the volume the radius goes smaller and in the Blue Zone is where people will receive education and if we increase it obviously it goes much bigger so we're gonna drop this down and I would recommend you only have it so it covers the viewing area don't let it go crazy right now what happens if you have too much together and we end up with overlapping so if I was to place as you can see no two speakers for education that will do it will actually do it over here will do over here if I was to place two speakers for education because we have them in here then we have two here we have this one so let's increase the volume to 11 okay so now you can see we have two speakers for education but they're overlapping in their radius now this is going to work very much like our staff facilities where the guests do not like this influence area they will be confused and annoyed by speakers coming from two separate directions keep the radiuses completely apart so we're going to shrink this one down you can see they're now apart perfect guests will now be happy again they can receive their education and there are no more problems so they'll come in get their education and all will be sorted a good variety every viewing point will help such as boards and the speakers ignore the fact this is yellow it thinks it's not powered even though it is so that is a standard setup that I would expect to any viewing point and you'd want a good variety at every viewing point as you can see here I've put them all over the place so we have speakers in each corner like so and then your educational board now what about other things so here we have this which is our conservation information board these as I've said earlier on will give you information from around the world issues these are not related to the exhibits these are general information for the people of the zoo I'd suggest putting these all over the place don't go crazy because they do have a winning cost however don't also you can see here oh no there's no power cost billion so that should be okay and they probably will get one later on but and guests still need more information so if you have a good variety around and your exhibits your habitat sorry and you have a good variety of these balls around your zoo as I have here as you can see that's why I have my five star education rating so speakers are great keep the radius is small or within the viewing area do not overlap them make sure you're displaying the correct animals and have a good display of these around and make sure you have a good variety of these certain issues displayed don't stick to all the same warm because guests one a lot of information okay now we're going to talk about this facilities okay your exhibit so if you have a reptile house so you have one of these around you're going to want to pretend there's an animal in here you're gonna want education on these as well which is where the small ones come in the exhibits education board so we're in it we're going to place this on here so press H to come off the heatmap so we're now gonna place this on here okay so we'll push it back so it's nice and against that there we go okay so that's now in we'll make sure it's powered and everything else so I believe it should be powered it is powered okay so we need to do the same as with a habitat we need an animal in here so we're gonna pop in any animal doesn't even matter that'll do there we go so we've got an animal in the same way you're gonna drop the drop down menu pick one and you'll see here this now displays at the bottom exactly what's inside so that covers that and it works the same way as here you have the education boards which are there now one thing on these you'll notice on here and on the other one see this four in the corner and you see the four in the corner of here this is actually the level of research that you're at so if you are playing the game in sandbox when you bat when you bring in your animals and things they are already researched to the maximum level if you are playing in anything else you are going to have to do some research so where you would normally research for animals in here and you've got enrichment items etc and there's no problems one thing you may not have noticed is on these you'll have this logo okay this logo is an increase in educational content on these boards and this is for everything you research you have to do reptiles just like you do animals all from this menu I'm sure many of you are familiar with this so this allows you to research and extra information about the animals so they can be taken care of better enrichment items etc but also educational information you need to get this to the highest level possible you can see down here when you reach level four your guests will get a much better rating from the board or the speaker about the animal that they are looking at because they'll be given level four should we say information rather than the basic level you get when you first bring in the animal and the way it's shown that you're at that level is either here you'll see the four or in the research menu you'll see that you've got this hat done and we're at the highest level possible for this animal now that basically covers everything you need to know about education but so let's cover that before we look at one more thing have boards around all viewing points displaying the correct animals if you have multiple animals spread the board's around make sure speakers are placed a same area so you want these around viewing points they can overlap TVs but they cannot overlap each other he will end up with a negative area which will cause an impact on your guests education keep the volumes correct so they are covering just this bit and don't go mad okay this will tell you everything you need to know whether things aren't powered whether you're displaying the wrong thing or the screens are off or the speakers are off and this is for the overlapping these conservation boards place all around your park with varying degrees of information and research your animals to the highest level now the most popular question I've been getting on education is why when I click on a guest say right here is their education level so low then they get over to here and their education level remains low or only goes up a tiny bit like this very simply put guys because they can't learn everything from one exhibit your guests education level will grow as they move around the zoo as they see each individual habitat or exhibit or even the conservation boards all to the speakers their education level will grow as they visit each place and learn more about different animals or problems around the world with this ending fleet including higher researched education information their education will grow so as we can see here it slowly grows with people as they move around these are growing even more what if we've gotten greens and then these guys are super happy variety is key lots of variety but lots of content the more you put into your zoo the more animals the more exhibits the bigger your zoo the better the education rating will be and down here he'll end up with a five-star guest education rating I hope that makes sense to you guys any comments queries or suggestions please pop
