hey what's going on guys so my name is Anthony I am extremely sick at the moment everybody so sorry my voice sounds a little bit off but how have you guys been but anyways today I'm gonna be bringing you all 20 things that you didn't know about or in Minecraft so if you guys do enjoy today's video then be sure to give this video a like bard anyways without further ado let's go ahead and get straight into today's video I hope you all enjoy it sorry for my voice in this video guys not the original lead developer for Minecraft had many times considered changing the diamond ores texture to look the same as the emerald ores texture now if not would have changed the diamond ores texture to look the same as emerald ore it would actually look something along the lines of this be sure to let me know in the comment section which texture you'd prefer the original diamond ore texture we have right now or the diamond ore texture that was going to look the same as emerald ore back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the earlier versions of Minecraft in dev furnaces were not yet added into the game which meant that players had to smell items using a different method nice voicecrack Anthony but anyways as I was saying furnaces were not yet added which meant that players had to smell iron ore and gold ore by dropping said all blocks onto fire which could be created by the player with the flint in steel they spawned with upon creating the world gold or iron ore and coal ore were the first ever all's to ever be added into the game and they were added in minecraft classic which was the second development phase of Minecraft now it goes without saying that at least one of the three also mentioned has got through some changes and that all is gold ore so in earlier versions of Minecraft classic the gold ores texture was slightly different as it had a slight greenish tinge color on its texture rather than it being completely gold back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the in dev face of the game there was a unique feature in this version when it came to mining coal so in minecraft in dev when coal all was destroyed by hand it would only yield one coal to the player but if coal always mind with a pickaxe it would actually drop three coal which as most of you know is not a thing in Minecraft today so yeah in earlier versions of in dev you were actually able to get a lot more cold when you mine the coal or lapis all was added in the beta 1.2 update and over time in Minecraft development they've actually gone through a drop rates change so in the beta 1.2 update office all wend mined by the player would only drop one shard per block which when you think about it is not that much to be honest however Jeb the lead developer at Mojang acknowledged that the all was too rare and therefore increased the drop rate to four to eight which is how it is today back in the earlier days of Micra from minecraft alpha to the beta 1.8 Update redstone all took significantly longer to mine in comparison to other ores as it took four point five seconds to mine with an iron pickaxe for example now that is a pretty long time not gonna lie but then of course in the beta 1.9 update the mining time was reduced drastically which I am extremely happy about oh my god that would have been so annoying to just mine redstone and have it take that long the Minecraft Wiki states that you can only find up to one to ten diamonds per vein however this is not actually the case due to the fact you can actually find up to twelve diamonds pervane due to diamond ore veins being able to collide with each other this allows the player to find a lot more diamonds than the wiki says you can find which i think is pretty cool again nice voicecrack Antony I'm sick guys leave me alone please on May 21st 2012 a week before the release of the Minecraft 1.3 update Jeb released screenshots showing a new or that was going to be added and that all was Ruby all however Jeb decided to change the idea Ruby or to emerald or jus to dinnerbone a Minecraft developer being a red-green colorblind and couldn't tell the difference between redstone ore and Ruby also the idea was there for changed at the last minute assault the Minecraft 1.9 update gold ore is actually able to generate closer to the surface however I should also mention that this feature is only exclusive to Mesa biomes this pretty much means you can only find gold or near the surface if you are in a Mesa biome which is quite a hard biome to find so here is a seed you guys can use to spawn in a Mesa biome upon creating the world hope this helps emerald ore is actually the rarest or you could find in the game due to the fact that they are only able to generate and be found exclusively in extreme Hills biomes whereas all the other ores can be found in any biome in caves it is a possibility that the feature of only being able to find emerald ore in the extreme Hills biome is a reference to the area Emerald Hill Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the early stages of Minecraft in dev there was actually a feature in the game where any pickaxe where the wood or diamond could destroy any all such as diamond ore for example so as you guys can see I'm using a wooden pickaxe to mine diamond ore which as most of you know you are not able to do in Minecraft today I mean that's just a bit silly of hermanus from minecraft classic to minecraft in depth the way in which all spawned in your world was very different here are some examples so the first example is that in the classic face of Minecraft iron all could spawn in huge veins whereas in Minecraft today iron always comes in veins of up to 4 to 10 another example I have is that in the earlier stages of Minecraft in dev diamond ore for example was able to spawn on the surface and could be found anywhere in the rather than just being able to find it below in caves in veins of one to ten I am honestly so sorry that you guys have to listen to these awful voice cracks oh my god emerald all was added in the Minecraft 1.3 update and I'm sure most of you know that they only spawn in veins of one however in the 12 w 21 a 1.3 snapshot emerald ore was actually a lot more common as they could generate in veins of up to 10 blocks which is quite a lot when you think about it but then in a later snapshot Jeb the lead developer at Mojang received a large number of complaints by users complaining about emerald ore being too easy to find this meant that he therefore had to change emerald ore to spawn in veins of one which I personally liked very much well done Jeff diamond doll was the fourth all to ever be added into minecraft and it was added in minecraft in doe however in the endeavors of minecraft diamond all was actually referred to as emerald ore by the developers which actually implies that Mojang actually added diamond all with the intentions of it being emerald ore back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the survival test breaking iron ore would actually get to play a 1 to 3 blocks of iron when it was mine jutsu I am ingor not yet being added into the game back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the minecraft survival test mining a coal all block would actually drop stone slabs as a placeholder due to coal lumps not yet being added into the game but anyways that just about does it for today's video everybody I really hope you all enjoyed it and if you guys once you played on my minecraft server then the IP as always is played or I deactivate MC dotnet now I of course want to apologize for my voice in this video everybody and I'm really sorry if you didn't enjoy the video because of my voice I'm just really sick at the moment but I just really wanted to get a video out at the same time because I actually intended to upload this video a lot earlier for you all but all sudden I just got really sick and it really annoyed me because I really wanted to start getting back on track with my uploads and everything since I have been uploading quite slow recently so yeah I really do apologize for my voice in this video hopefully you guys can look past there I'm really hoping for me to get better very soon so I can get back to making my videos and everything but um yeah thank you all so much for watching the video everyone I really hope you all enjoyed it and more videos will be coming soon just watching everyone have a fantastic day I'm gonna get some food now that I'm so hungry so I'm yeah thanks for watching and I'll see you all in my
