USA a zip-up is here still inbox on the top of the box is old n pop and if you guys are with us for a longer time you know that we do not have a really good track record with the Zastava so the first n pup which we put through some sort of the grinder it wasn't a 5,000 rounds test had the issues with the receiver literally you could flex the receiver in your hands and I'm not The Incredible Hulk or anything but it's really squishing that receiver and me you could deform it the second one went through that 5000 rounds test it was a completely different and Popeye it was that second and puff which we had and dot and pop actually did complete the 5000 rounds test but between the rounds for thousands and the 5000 it suffered the cracks right here in the rear end of the receiver later on that n pup was given away to one of you guys and to my best knowledge the user is still using it despite those are cracks in the rear end of the rifle so as you can see not big luck with the end pups from the past I still after the complete complete completion of the 5000 rounds test I purchased another one I think this one is 2017 if my memory serves well and I got it for below $600 so you could get him for you know sub 600 for sure at that time and that brings me to what is in the box so these old ones were imported by Century Arms and this is real n pop in the box is a brand new import from the stava USA company owned by all the people with connection to say of course and they called their mother zip up Z P a P so let me open the box rifle is from Atlantic firearms or they got em on their website for a $799 what pole the Box arm was flipped on me dig out okay beautiful that's it and the magazine so you know what guys let's reorganize bye-bye box and Parks is out of the picture and will remove that silly chamber flag too because it's driving me nuts all right so and you know what let's put the magazine through the magazine well because it looks more bad as that way okay I'm done done with the [ __ ] alright so this is the zip up and as you can see right of the right of the bed the staff of arms USA des plane any noise that's the importer man importer mark versus what was previously it was just made in has made in Serbia into the central arms or Georgia Vermont so that that's the the one of the differences are right away but what is also different the STOVL USA decided to keep as many parts untouched as possible so by default they have to use the us-made stock this is the us-made handguard pistol grip magazine floor and the muzzle device however they kept the original from my understanding they kept the original trigger fire control group that's original made in Serbia this is the magazine there is only up there you go on the magazine floor there is a marking USA so that data sets that down and looking at the wood it's hard to that the wood is looking nice it's nice very nice like charcoal like our color guys versus what the century was selling this was the the original century color right but as far as the quality of the wood hard to tell without extensive running you know and we'll put this rifle through some sort of the wringer I don't think we'll do the 5000 rounds test that remains to be seen but we'll see what this rifle can do and I'll do the update for you from the some form of stress around count and things like this so you're going to have a detailed report what put it on a lab radar to give you the muzzle velocities and everything that's going to happen for sure you will see scenes probably are you seeing scenes already in this video me of shooting it but that's going to happen in the next few days and then I'll edit the video because I wanna see how this rifle shoots of course but basically this is how it's looking outside so the outside let me check all the rivets levers are looking nice that kind of axis pin we're going to watch those fire control group pins for sure because some of the old or the stuff as they had the problems with egging those holes I'm curious to see how the new one will do other with this kind of it's okay it's it I'm not going to [ __ ] its $799 rifle right and it looks there is no round in the magazine guys and there is no doubt in the chamber so don't freak out I'm pointing a Deputy empty camera and it looks like we are almost in the center as far as the front post goes we'll see how this is going to end up after zeroing the rifle and we'll go from there so from outside I see the pins are holding up of course that tab cop this is the tab commercial device and then we have the rear sight leave with the markings up to 1,000 meters and that's exactly the same as it was on the old one everything looks to be honest a few guys everything looks the same when I'm looking at these two rifles in my hand as far as the cold bare bones are metal even the same you know journal marks number two on the barrel number two on the barrel I got two and two on the old one it is a two and one that barrel is are called hammer forged and as it was always on the stava but from my understanding there is no chrome lining in the ball of the barrel on the 7.62 by 39 rifles let me pop the hood okay basically the dust cover is the same they kept the bottom they kept that battle some people like it some people don't I will tell you right away if you're getting these rifles it's a good idea this is a basically a locking nut for that button to use some blue loctite on it and you're not going to lose it okay because some guys lost manage to lose those the life of a function without it you can remove that assembly and you know it will perfectly work fine without that now I'm going to pull out the bolt carrier and this time will remove the magazine tube and I'll have a look inside the chamber and I will tell you for sure there is no chrome lining inside the chamber right side of the trunnion there are some marks on it looks a little bit rough but it's you know sparkling new so hey it is what it is the opening of the magazine well we'll have a test with the multiple multiple magazines will port put all the magazines I have different types of magazines I have until we'll see how this is going to end up on the magazine well as you know the magazine well is enlarged here in the United States to accommodate the standard aka magazines and that's again because of our import laws okay so here's that fire control group double hooks on both sides so that looks very cool very nice let me have a into the bolt and the bolt carrier it's polished metal as always runners esta vez firing pin is looking good and look at that that's the machining marks and everything on the bolt carrier piston head looking good too and then there is the rear end of the bolt a reasoning for the keeping and sticking to original fire control group from the beginning for the guys for the Saba USA was that they don't wanna they think that the part of the problems of the in the past with the deformed rear ends on the bolt carriers was incorrect or us made fire control groups because the mismatch of the hardness of the materials so they hoping that sticking to the original fire control group will eliminate that problem all right let me open the lever so we can dig out gas tube and this is that wood I was talking about and looking at yeah it's it's it's a little bit nicer wood than what it was again hard to tell how this wood is going to behave because we don't know right this has to be tested but looking to the gauge gas tube gets to piece absolutely there's no signs of rust or anything sometimes on those new amp ups when I was you know getting them you could still see the chips metal chips from when the guys in century were cutting out the magazine wells here I do not see any metal chip so it looks very clean and it's looking good I aim the lower handguard nothing nothing jumps out here gas block also cream and that's good thing let me have a look into the bore here is looking good and from the different end absolutely spotless and shiny inside so that's that's blade so this is how it is looking like like let me dig out quickly guys let me dig out quickly the bolt carrier and bolt from the old end pub and I will see if anything jumps out right off the bat that's that will keep those parts separate so I'm not miss matching them or anything recoil spring on mine as you can see I upgraded the recoil spring today algebric on spring because the original one was extremely weak so that's my hand pop and this is the bolt carrier of course mine is dirty but it's okay so this is the bolt carrier versus the bolt carrier how they both looking like and as you can see on mine there is slight deformation already going on and that rifle is not seeing that much of the action so hey it is what it is that's the that's the old end pop we'll see how this is going to sort out on the new Z pops but basically from outside shell everything looks are almost identical that piston head is slightly different I think unless no I think it's just dealt online so no take that back other than this everything here is looking the same so we'll put the bolt carriers aside and let's have a look at the bolts and the bolts are looking absolutely identical as well extractor claw everything here is looking the same so and they got even you know those or pencil engraved markings and things like this so absolutely oh cool so yeah it looks with the naked eye the the both rifles they look very very similar to each other right the difference is in the wood as I said and we'll see how this is going to because this is where you know hopefully that difference will be told and I'm looking here at the inside components everything was looking almost you know it's looking the same basically let me make sure there are no other markings on the trigger yeah I do not see any markings on the trigger I do not see the usual see for a compliance mark or anything like that so I'm assuming that fire control group truly is made in Serbia and yep by the way the rifle does not have the retainer plate it has a so called paper clip which annoys the hell out of me and holding those fire control group pins but that's what it is inside so next thing what we're going to do is hit the range and start putting some rounds of course watching for the temperature we do not we don't we don't wanna kill the board of the barrel we'll see how everything is working and gelling with each other and I'll give you the full and extensive arranged report after putting some rounds through the Z pub at this point as I said let me check what is included in the back stupid me and this is of course this is a stava manual zip-up m7d there you go nice nicely done booklet with some basic stuff when to clean things like this we have congratulations on the purchase of your zip up yay and you got the email for the support and then of course the friends from Atlantic FAFSA stuff it in all
