You Have Been Fishing WRONG In Stardew Valley

i recently found a method to make catching fish incredibly easy actually it makes it so easy that i caught all of the legendary fish on my first try in making this video usually when we catch the legendary fish in stardew valley we use the trap rubber taco but this method will give you such a huge fishing bar that is considerably easier to catch them than when compared to the trap bobber just take a look at the side by side comparison of me catching the angler this trick will be especially useful for players who don't really like the fishing minigame but still want to catch all of the fish in the game for the achievements and i definitely recommend you give this a try before i show you how to get an unrealistically big fishing bar something very strange happened for me that i'd like to show you i have this playthrough where i was testing every type of fishpond in the game so i have about 40 fish ponds and i pretty much collect their fish roller every in-game day for quite a while apparently collecting these things gives you fishing xp and i somehow managed to get all the way to fishing level 10 without costing my fishing line a single time and that is important to note because the first time you cross your fishing line it is impossible to fail to catch the fish which is cool because it helps you learn how to play the fishing mini game when you first try it so i came over here to where you would normally catch the angler i crossed my fishing rod and the first fish to bite my line was the legendary angler i did not notice at first but when my fishing bar was not in range of the angler the fishing progress did not go down meaning it was impossible for me to fail to catch this legendary fish you can only do this if you cross your line for the first time in a playthrough and the first ever bite you get is the legendary fish not that useful because you cannot replicate this again and the chances of this happening are very low but it's still pretty cool to find this by accident alrighty back to the ultimate fishing trick level up your fishing to level 10. yeah this is a pretty boring one but if you struggle with the legendary fish you should just press viet and grind up your fishing level until you reach level 10. with some persistence and patience you will hit level 10 fishing in no time this is important because each level in fishing will increase the size of your fishing bar remember if you don't enjoy fishing you can use the training fishing rod until you get to level 5 fishing because that fishing rod will have the same bar size as if you were at level 5 fishing the size of the bar at level 1 compared to 10 is pretty insane so this step is equally as important as the other steps get to level 10 in the volcano to get access to the forge then you will need to add the monster enchant to your fishing rod you can do this by sacrificing a prismatic shard and 20 cinder shards to get a random enchant on your fishing rod unfortunately you cannot choose which enchant you will get and you might have to sacrifice a couple of prismatic shards but is worth it because the monster enchant will give you plus one to your fishing level it might seem insignificant but it does make a difference i will show you what each step adds and you'll see how it all comes together find 100 golden walnuts and get access to mr keith's walnut room then do some of mr key's special order requests to get some key gems then buy some key seasoning from kiss store you can buy 10 servings of key seasoning for 10 key gems key seasoning has an interesting interaction with food when you cook something using key seasoning it will produce a higher quality dish that will have an increased stat bonus for example sea foam pudding would usually give you plus four to your fishing stat but if you use key seasoning it will have a plus five bonus to your fishing stat so it might seem that all of these steps are only adding a tiny bit but stardew valley does not have diminishing returns and that means we can stack a single stat without worrying about the effects going to waste to cook seafoam pudding you will need a midnight carp flounder and squid ink the ingredients are a little bit hard to get but the legendary fish are worth the effort you can also buy magic bait at the keys store and the magic bait will allow you to catch any fish no matter what season it is i actually use the magic base in this video to catch all of the legendary fish on the same day instead of waiting for the appropriate season to come magic bait is definitely very useful now this is where it can get really interesting and there's definitely room for a debate here usually we would always pick the trap bobber tackle because it would reduce the speed that you would lose fishing progress by a massive 33 percent but since we have stacked our fishing levels so high i think it's more effective to use the cork bobber that instead increases the size of your fishing bar here are a few side by side comparisons of your iridium fishing rod without any buffs the fishing rod with the master enchant the fishing rod with the mastering trend and the plus 5 bonus from the seafoam pudding and finally the fishing bar with all of the above plus the cork bobber you can see that when you put all of these buffs and enchantments together you get a very impressive fishing bar that will allow you to catch most of the fish with little to no effort and in the case of the legendary fish when your bar is this massive it is extremely easy to keep the legendary fish within the fishing bar here i caught the hardest legendary fish the legend by barely moving my fishing bar i knew this method worked because i tested it on the angler but the legend is considerably harder than the angler and i didn't even break a sweat against the legend next i will show you how easily i got the mutant carp in the sewer and how the glacier fish was actually a little bit tough difficulty using this fishing layout i was able to catch the mutant carp and i barely moved my fishing bar naturally you can catch this easy fish without any tackle if you wanted to the glacier fish was probably the only one i struggled with i still managed to catch it on my first try but i was extremely close to missing it it felt like my heart just pumped out of my chest when the glacier fish did some crazy erratic moves and almost cost me a perfect legendary catching run but somehow i managed to get control of the situation and that catch the glacier fish in the end maybe for some fish the trap bobber tackle is just better but i think i will probably just stick with the cork tackle for now when i was waiting for the legendary fish to bite i hardly moved my fishing pole and caught so
