Yellowfang was CURSED? | Warrior Cats Theory

[Music] from reading the Warriors books it's not hard to come to the conclusion that yellow Fang lived a harsh life her medicine cat status separated her from her mate she lost her two daughters and had to give away her son her son developed into a villain that set up the near destruction of the clans twice yeah not good things it's all way too much to write off as bad luck alone yellow Fang was born to suffer in a way that no other cat in the series was she had to carry the burden of having a son who had caused both the rise of Tiger clan and the dark forest that son is broken star of course he is sort of the beginning of true evil in the warrior cats books well yes there were plenty of evil cats before him such as maple shade broken stars accomplishments really made him stand out he was the first evil cat in the modern clans to take complete control of a clan also broken stars allies and the weakened shadow clan paved the way for Tiger star to rise to power without broken star tiger clan could never have existed and blood clan would never have been brought into the forest as a result tiger star would never have gained the influence and reputation he needed to eventually establish the dark forest as a fighting force that would challenge the existence of the clans also without broken star virus star would never have been welcomed into ThunderClan without the threat that broken star posed ThunderClan would never have been desperate enough to recruit a kitty pet so really broken stars evil actions set up almost everything that happened between into the wild and the last hope it's hard to imagine what the clams would have been like if broken star had been nice wait could broken star have been nice I mean from yellow fangs perspective it didn't seem like a possibility in the super edition yellow fangs secret broken stars malevolent behavior developed quickly and uncontrollably given broken stars later role in the dark forest he probably had Maple Shade training him at night and shaping his personality now notice that I did use the word probably and that is because it was never actually confirmed that broken star trained in the dark forest before his death however given what we know about the dark forest I believe this would be a reasonable conclusion the pain broken star suffered as a kid simply wasn't enough to foster such hateful emotions however Maple Shade has been known to target kids with even the smallest amount of suffering and shaped their actions she targeted crooked star as a kid because he was unloved and broken kid was in a very similar situation also the other evil cats at that time Tigers star and thistle claw were trained by Maple Shade given the background of those two you would not expect them to be evil either without maple shade in the dark forest broken stars paths to evil simply could not have been so easily constructed so maybe broken star could have been nice if the dark forest never influenced him but that seems very unlikely the dark forest targets cats with insecurities and broken kit had to be one of the most insecure kits ever he was constantly teased for not knowing who his mother was and he had an adopted mother who hated kids now I could say that it was lizard stripes fault that broken star became evil but that wouldn't make any sense I mean lizards stripe didn't choose to raise broken kit yellow Fang was the one who forced broken kid to grow up adopted wait is it yellow fangs fault that broken star became evil I mean if broken star had been raised as a normal kid he would have no reason to visit the dark forest and his dreams maple shade doesn't bother spending time with normal kids she trains cats who had suffered like her so that they too can turn sadness into anger and grief into hate so was it possible for yellow thing to raise broken kit normally well not as a medicine cat the role of Medicine cat for big yellow Fang from having kids if broken kit had to grow up as the kit of a medicine cat his suffering would have been just as bad if not worse the only other option would be for yellow thing to not be a medicine cat but it's not like she had a choice the power yellow Fang was given at Birth allowed her to feel the pain of other cats close by this power is useful for a medicine cat terrible for a warrior who needs to focus on her own pain in the heat of battle because she had this power yellow Fang thought that being a medicine cat was her destiny and she received additional pressure from Sage whisker to accept this role if it wasn't for that power yellow Fang would have been happy remaining a warrior and could have raised broken kit with ragged star at her side it makes you really wonder why yellow thing was given that power at all well she does use it from time to time she never accomplishes anything amazing with it had she not had the power broken kit would never have been evil shadow clan needed a normal broken kit far more than it needed a medicine cat broken star rising to power and causing massive destruction for the clans appears to be destiny wait what if yellow fangs power only existed to ensure that broken star would become evil I mean the books don't bother giving a better explanation yellow fangs power wasn't much of a gift it was more like a curse it was responsible for making broken star evil without this power so much conflict would be completely absent yellow Fang was cursed in order to cause massive suffering in the clans what higher power could be responsible for this what did the clans do to deserve such harsh punishment well looking a little deeper in the yellow fang secret the answer is right in front of us the cat who warns yellow Fang of the unavoidable approaching disaster that is broken star is none other than mole pal mole Pelt was shadow clans medicine cat long ago specifically he was medicine cat when sky clans separated from the four main clans now in many different books in this series it is brought up again the gun that banishing sky clan was one of the worst things ever done by clan cats especially when you take into consideration that sky clan completely crumbled as a result of being separated this is definitely worth punishing the clans over and it is made very clear in yellow fangs secret that broken star is in fact the punishment for banishing sky clan like mo pel outright says it so this is not much of a shocking revelation what is shocking is the method used to ensure broken star would be evil which is the curse of a power that yellow thing received so that does leave questions unanswered why did the clans need to be punished for something that none of the living cats were part of what was the point of causing so much suffering well I'm glad I gave myself that question because I have an answer that brings everything together think back to earlier in this video broken star was the cause of so much conflict but a middle this conflict was the rise of fire star without these dark times fire star would likely have been rejected by Thunder clan and even if he was let in he would never be leader you see well broken star was the punishment for banishing sky clan star clan did not make him evil just to see the clan supper they had another goal in mind this punishment was also intended to bring in Firestar who as we all know would later be the cat to restore Skye clan essentially the clan suffered through hardship in order to produce a strong enough leader to bring Skye clan back Skye clan suffered from being banished the rest of the clans needed to also suffer in order to bring Skye clan back so essentially all the conflicts surrounding tiger clan in the dark forest existed so that Skye clan could be brought back and in the most poetic way possible Skye clan didn't return to the four clans until these threats were no more it's really strange that Skye clan went from this random gimmick to sell super additions to a concept that connects all the overarching lore of warrior cats never underestimate the attention to detail in these books something as random as the ability to feel the pain of other cats can be a curse that brought both destruction and new balance to the clans [Music] you
