oh dear hey welcome back screen Crush I'm Ryan Ary and this is all of the Easter eggs references and little things you might have missed in X-Men 97 episode 10 now I know a lot of you have questions about this episode especially that ending don't worry we are going to explain exactly what the heck is going on and what we can expect from season 2 of this incredible adaptation of the X-Men and a little later in the video we're going to be talking about forge's board the secret Spider-Man Cameo that you might have missed and the new team of X-Men that we could see next season so the episode opens with Magneto doing the previously on previously on X-Men now in every episode this is an indication that the story is going to focus on that character now while this is very much a team oriented episode Magneto does get to be the big hero at the end and actually I'm wondering did Charles finally get through to him for good is Magneto really a hero now yeah I heard that one before the opening credits include a couple new cutcenes we see Charles trying to read the mind of Emma Frost AKA The White Queen at the hellfire club now this is taken from the second episode of the dark Phoenix Saga when the hellfire club had influenced Jean's mind to become the black queen and Charles was attempting to read the minds of the group and Emma pushed him back we also see Magnus and Charles fighting these soldiers now this scene like they're meeting in the bar is adapted from Uncanny X-Men 161 this issue revealed that Magneto and Xavier were actually two old friends now just like we see in this episode the two of them had discussions about mutant kind and what that means for the future and they also fight off a squad of hydra agents and that encounter further sets Magneto down the path to becoming a villain like in the the face of human bigotry and that meeting is where this episode begins at a bombed out European town now in the comic when Eric and Charles meet they are both trying to help people through the trauma of War for instance the professor is working to heal the mind of one victim from this tragedy and in this scene they're wearing the same clothes they wore in the flashback from season 1 when Xavier talked about when they first met now we immediately know this is the late 1960s because of the bird song turn turn turn now the lyrics of this song are actually taken from the book of Ecclesiastes with lines like to everything there is a season a time for war a time of Peace a time to rent a time to sew and a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing now in the Bible the next few verses Proclaim that God has actually just made everything suitable for its own time in other words good and bad events in our lives will happen but that doesn't mean that we have to be shaped by those events the song is actually clever foreshadowing of the episode's ending Xavier shows Magneto that yes he suffered horribly as a child but that does not mean that his pain has to shake his actions for the rest of his life but again we're going to dive into that full speech a little later in the video hey I feel like something exotic for lunch oh yeah like what I don't like maybe some of these flat rice Tha noodles person did you just take a bite out of an uncooked bundle of Thai noodles yeah and I really wish I hadn't next time I'll eat this it to the Josan Council we were at a bar in Germany when he first mentioned his dream and with good reason this is the conversation that actually shapes the future of the mutant race I also want to point out that this conversation is very queer coded now the X-Men have always had a very high gay readership as gay teens related to the message of hitting puberty and suddenly having to keep yourself hidden for fear of being persecuted the Brian Singer movies made this connection extremely overt have you tried not being a mutant but in this scene think about it we have two men in a bar in the late 1960s who are afraid to reveal to each other who they truly are it's subtle but showrunner bod Deo knew what he was doing here Eric tells him run and hide before someone starts dreaming of camps now he is speaking of his own experience when his family was killed in the Holocaust but also the word dream is important there Xavier famously has a dream of mutant human coexistence but also bastion's painting of The Sentinel take over the world was called his final dream an illusion to Hitler's Final Solution notice how also Eric's hair here short like it always was in the comics before '90s artists suddenly decided that everybody needed long hair like seriously they gave Clark Kent a ponytail like he was suddenly going through a midlife crisis and buying a Corvette outside the window we see the mirror transform into an ocean now in Dreams water symbolizes emotion and our subconscious so a Restless angry SE is a metaphor for Magneto's inner turmoil in the original show we saw subconscious trauma visualize like this before notably when the professor was trying to help Sabertooth why do you keep these thoughts from me Magneto says do you yearn for bastion's bastard cyborgs to resume their pogm against our species now a pogm is essentially a government organized Extinction of a group of people various Zars carried out pograms against Russian Jews in the 1800s and the early 20th century leading many Jews to flee to America or to Europe Charles is in Magneto's mind for two reasons one he wants to restore the Earth's magnetic waves and two he wants to finally get through to his old friend Magneto tells him such psychic penetration risks leaving both our minds shattered now in the comic book X-Men 25 this unfolds a little differently after Magneto takes the Adam antheum from Wolverine's body the professor feels he has no choice and he steals Magneto's mind basically making him a blank slate but when he did this it created a merger of his and Magneto's personalities which became this villain called Onslaught Onslaught was a major threat to the Marvel Universe and ultimately kind of a boring story so I'm glad they chose to go another way here however later on Jean does hint that Onslaught could be created when she says this sir if you're still linked with him when that happens both our minds will be lost but the show might have hinted at Onslaught Maestro x101 points out that the date on this radio 19966 might be a reference to June 1996 X-Men issue 53 the first appearance of onslaught so when the professor restores the magnetic waves we see various cameos here is the Silver Samurai the leader of the Yakuza Clan yida and we also saw him in the original series episode Lotus and the steel I am called Silva Samurai the people of this province know to fear me then we see Iron Man and Captain America in the situation room with President Kelly now a few episodes ago Captain America hinted at The Avengers once I get the thumbs up I'll lead my team to Mexico to apprehend gyri and here we get to see the two of them having like presidential level influence notice that Tony is wearing his very '90s armor from the comics but this is also the armor he wore in Iron Man the Animated Series oh what was that well you see in the 9s X-Men the Animated Series spawned like a mini Marvel Cinematic Animated Universe Spider-Man Iron Man the Fantastic 4 and the Silver Surfer all had animated series which I believe all connected to each other in theory at least and in that series Tony Stark also had ridiculously long Fabio hair who's Fabio okay I get it you're young and by the way everyone I just want to thank all of you for watching our coverage of this show all season long and for supporting our Channel by shopping at our merch store our mare remember again but tribute shirt became our bestselling shirt ever and you helped us make more videos like this one we're also going to be closing up our gifted youngsters collection soon so now is a great time to get other X-Men parody merch like we have this brand new the apocalypse is coming this brand new bra first melting claws Fraser Beast dou Cyclops the morphine best friends and the X-Men Nighthawks really guys thank you all so much for watching and for buying these shirts that we design ourselves for you so more cameos we see Daredevil in Hell's Kitchen where we also see this graffiti Pro humanity anti-mutant and trust no mutant and this one on the side here I couldn't read because one person sprayed over someone else's hate speech very rude bastion's vo takes over the scene and I just got to say Theo James has been perfect in this role like he played such a great SLE bag in White Lotus and in this show his smooth voice just exudes confidence like he's already seen the future and he already knows that he wins the name of Peace tolerance and equal opportunity suicide elsewhere we see doctor strange using his magic to perform surgery by levitating Candlelight I also thought this was a great detail it's showing that when the hospital's power went out strange wanted to save lives any way he could notice though that he is manipulating the scalpel with the same magic symbols that we see in the MCU he can't use his hands you know because the accident Bastion says Professor Xavier must pave the path to my dream in order to honor his own now what he's saying is that the professor had to restore power so Humanity would have faith in mutants once more but by restoring this electricity he also restored the sentinals and then he says you mutants Lost At Birth too now it's telling that he says you mutants because Bastion is a self-hating mutant basan is a person who hates the way he was born so he represses his true nature I didn't ask for this either to be born with this programming this Destiny inside me the urges again this is language that is very coded with a lot of subtext I mean from the time Bastion was born he had the voices of Master mode and Nimrod in his brain urging him to exterminate mutant kind and as we see in this episode his mother's own hatred of mutants is what firmly set him down a path of destroying his own people he calls mutants neanderthals 2.0 or what's that mean well at one point there were actually at least two humanoid species on Earth Homo sapiens and the anderol now scient are still debating what actually happened to the neander tals but we can all agree that they are not with us anymore and actually Grant Morrison's excellent run on new X-Men which featured the Genosha Massacre begins with a panel showing Humanity Exterminating their humanoid cousins with violence so here Bastion is saying the mutants are merely an offshoot of the human race and that humans will work to destroy them no matter the cost and this is when he reveals the lie that his dream was built upon think had a good professor taken me in when mother begged him I'd be hanging here with you you freaks so all of this stuff reminded me of the movie American History X when we see that Edward Norton's Neo-Nazi characters hatred actually started with racist remarks that his dad made around the dinner table now as Jee is drowning Bastion takes on a look that is more and more machine-like way back in the first episode this season I pointed out how the Friends of Humanity using arm cannons was a way of showing that the human race was going to evolve to become better at killing mutants but in doing so they were actually sacrificing their own humanity and now we see this metaphor made literal with the Prime Sentinel and here we see Bastion forfeiting any of his own Humanity to become a complete machine he's more machine now than man twisted and evil and then Bastion says people are good too damn good now what he's saying here is that the human race would actually never willingly Embrace his vision of extermination Because deep down people would always feel sympathy for anyone who is persecuted this is why his final dream actually meant to replace Humanity with machine-like automatons who who would obey his will now this was all set up in the final episode of season 1 the final decision in that episode master mold Reveals His True plan to replace Humanity with machines my Sentinels are bringing me leaders from all over the world in time all of their brains will be replaced wait what has Master Mold got to do with Bastion well Bastion was created partially from the minds of nimrod and master mold grafted onto a janitor who then had sex with a waitress who then gave birth to a mutant whose subconscious is filled with images of a dystopian future rule by machines yeah that seems really complicated to me well it's not if you've been paying attention to our breakdowns you know what that's enough I don't need this kind of thing anymore I'm going to quit I'm just going to walk away and I'm going to quit you know what I'm going to do I'm going to go to Las Vegas and I'm going to become a singer in a doop group and I'm going to be really good and then I'm going to look really pretty all the time and I'm going to start dating a mobster but then I'm going to watch him kill someone and then he's going to be like I got to get her and then I'm going to go to the FBI and then they're going to help me hide out somewhere in a Convent and even though they say hey keep your head down in that Convent I just can't help myself and I helped kids these nuns how to sing doop songs but with lyrics and then and then you know what I'm going to do I'm going to turn the whole thing around and the purp is going to come and he's going to see and I'm ah you know what never mind I forgive you that was weird right so then we get more cameos Prime Sentinels attacking king tachaka and the Dora malaj I should point out that this version of the Black Panther did briefly Cameo on the original TV series but this interpretation of the D Mage were created specifically for the MCU so they never appeared like this in the original '90s X-Men show in fact they weren't even around until Christopher priest created them in a seminal 199 8 Black Panther comic back in Hell's Kitchen we see Josie's bar a hangout for criminals during the Frank Miller Daredevil Comics that became Matt and foggy's favorite Dive Bar in the MCU series we also see Cloak and Dagger two street level characters with a very long origin story that I'm not going to explain right now but I will say that they did have a series on free form that was kind of sort of supposed to be part of the MCU but now I'm sure has been reccon to the Dustbin of the Multiverse like Agents of Shield don't you start dude it's not in the 61 you know what let's just save this fight for the podcast in Russia we see the villain Oma red and the mutant Dark Star along with the Crimson Dynamo now all of these characters first appeared in the season 2 episode Red Dawn in that episode aega Red briefly takes control of the failing Russian democracy and turns it into a dictatorship once again life sometimes imitates art and then in the ruins of josha we see psylock who at one point was going to join the X-Men at the end of season 4 we also see Puck a member of alpha flight who appears in season 2 he should be right here eh and we see the twins from alpha flight Aurora and Northstar who first appeared in the episode slave Island the first appearance of josha and this is cipher and exodus both of whom appeared in the episode remember it and then Bastion forces cable to admit how many times he's failed to save josha 200 now showrunner Bo Deo has been tweeting out homework assignments for fans and this week he shared the TNG episode cause and effect now this is one of the original time Loop stories where the crew slowly realizing that they're stuck in a temporal Loop and they're repeating the same actions before they're destroyed and start the loop again now they ultimately escape the time Loop while also furthering the theory that the show Cheers is entirely a program on the holiday deck knows the point of that episode is that the Enterprise crew does escape the time Loop by finally sending a message back in time to themselves in the same way this is what cable has done instead of trying to stop the Genosha Massacre alone like he did in the episode slave Island I'm looking for the one who calls himself the leader he finally decided to embrace his past and work with the X-Men so now together they're able to stop this future from happening now later in the episode cable does talk about why he didn't accept the X-Men before but we'll get to that in a minute at least actually I think that's what's different this time it could actually be that apocalypse intervened but again we'll talk about that at the end of the video patience now in this moment Nathan finally calls Jean his mother maybe you two should have listened to what time's got to say about my mom and this is what finally wakes up the Phoenix Force as it reconnects with Jean I took a couple you know I took some time off to rest and now it's game time her rising from the water is just like her first appearance when she Rose from the Hudson River in the comics and in the original show I am Phoenix yeah what the heck was that thex Phoenix well look the Phoenix force is not a mutant power it is a cosmic entity that is attached to Jean in season 3 it became parasitic feeding off Jean's emotions if you truly love me don't let her you should have destroyed me and you had the chance but when Jean successfully remove the Phoenix it left peacefully no hard feelings now that the Fire Within Jean Gray has been extinguished I am as I was so now the Phoenix mostly exists as a way for Riders to get themselves out of a corner but then you know it'll always depart quickly so the characters will still have to overcome challenges later in the episode or in the comic book The Phoenix force is gone now seriously I actually did not like the Phoenix Force appearing in this episode even though it was foreshadowed in every opening credit sequence like this whole season I think in the show and in the comics the Phoenix always gets used as a One-Stop shop to solve problems that Jean can only use once but sometimes look I'll complain about that in another video but I seriously didn't like this moment I will say though that the Phoenix is something that is beyond bastion's comprehension because it's not a mutant it is a cosmic Force so he would not have planned for this at all and Phoenix would have the power to reassemble the pneumonic inhibitor that takes away bastion's ability to communicate with machines as we saw a couple episodes ago storm actually warned beast and Forge to not make the inhibitor so powerful that it would take away all of bastion's mutant Powers just as powered to control the prime Sentinels now as all the prime Sentinels are shut down we see the repercussions across all of the Marvel Universe again I love how they weave in all these cameos the original series was also filled with them and it really does help fill out the edges of this universe and then Jean gets her revenge on Sinister he tries to Lord information over her about how she's incomplete and she doesn't know when she was swapped out with Madeline you think peacocking makes you old again but what he doesn't comprehend is that to the Phoenix details like Jean or mine's memories are just small and Petty she sees the Universe on a grand Cosmic scale and then she pulls away all the mutant DNA that he extracted over the years now do say right now well in the original series season 5 episode 9 descent we see sinister's origin in the 19th century he was a scientist who kidnapped mutants from his Asylum where he then conducted experiments on them he eventually used their genetic material to augment his own body making him basically Immortal remark not even a blister so the Phoenix is taking away that mutant DNA making him revert to his true age show me my face looks the same to me and by the way I thought it was kind of hilarious that Sinister runs away in this episode like a teenager that Sprouts a pimple on Palm Knight you guys don't look at me I'm so ugly and then Bastion rips off Cable's arm beats him with it stop hitting yourself hitting yourself hitting yourself before he uses that same arm to augment his own body and create new armor now the arm I believe is not like a bionic arm from the future in the comics this is the Techno organic virus that Sinister infected baby Nathan with now Nathan's telling antic Powers keep that virus in check now in the show this could also be the same technology that Bastion used to create the prime Sentinels so that's why this arm is able to augment his own power his new plan is to pull an Ultron and hurl asteroid M at Earth meanwhile Xavier and Magneto are working through his problems Magneto has lost his memories who's Magnus who are you now this is similar to the forementioned X-Men issue 25 when Xavier took away Magneto's mind but it's also similar to when Xavier defeated Magneto by turning him into a baby in the defender issue 16 but what's happening in the show is that Xavier is trying to help Magneto live through his memories again but this time he wants him to approach them from A New Perspective that the memories happen to him in the past and they don't have to Define who he becomes in the future now the bar around them is crumbling as it slowly succumbs to the torrent of Magneto's past hatred and Trauma symbolic of what Xavier said earlier about how the two of them could be destroyed within his mind now the visual of this is very similar to the finale of the brilliant film Michelle gondry's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind where Jim Carrey Witnesses his memories being erased around him and then this moment broke me Cyclops is at Wolverine's bedside don't you dare break her heart now here he's acknowledging the quiet part out loud he knows that Jean has feelings for Logan and that she cares for him very deeply and he knows that if Logan would stay alive for anyone it would be for the woman that he loves the professor communicates with Scott and Jean saying in order to save the world we must not l him and what I think Charles means here is that they could not stop Bastion without Magneto's help again we see this in the episode the final decision when Magneto is at first reluctant to help the X-Men the brave are always the first to die but then he swoops in like Han Solo to save the day now we're even but we shall meet again Bastion goes to the antimatter core of asteroid M when Rogue buron now after Gambit's death she went on a rampage just looking for the right person to punch and now she she found him and she Echoes Remy's final words remember it which jeez man I I rewatched remember it the other day for like the fifth time and it still gets me H kind Rogan Bastion land on the blue area of the Moon yeah how can they breathe on the moon that is not possible well my friend long story short this crater on the moon was given a breathable Atmosphere by the Scrolls like thousands of years ago now it houses The Citadel uatu The Watcher who had a cameo here in episode 5 and this is also where the X-Men fought the Shar Imperial Guard in season 3 where Jee ultimately tried to sacrifice her life to free the Phoenix Force we've also seen the blue area of the Moon in several of the intros this season here with the dark Phoenix Bastion then slowly pulls Rogue up into the vacuum of space before she's saved by Roberto who finally accepts his mutant name the name Sunspot now this is such a cool moment because Roberto has denied his true self all season because he was afraid of how his family would react and as we saw in the movie X2 accepting your mutant name is a way of embracing your true mutant self what's your name John what's your real name John P in Time Square we see the Easter egg Billboards that have appeared in maor we see yida like Clan Lita led by the Silver Samurai Oak G Cola the soda company that Bruce Banner bottled for in The Incredible Hulk the N Universe news station wh and later we see vistacore in Stark Industries vistacore is the company that Scott L stole from an Ant-Man and the Stark Industries logo is the same one that we see in the MCU and of course here we see a grand return to the stage in homage to X-Men 97 being a Revival of the original animated series and then we see members of the UN Security Council taking a vote on the Magneto protocols which were referenced last episode The Magneto protocols were drawn up for exactly this sort of Crisis now this is a contingency plan from the comic book X-Men issue one which I believe the original plan was to disable the Earth's magnetic field to make Magneto's Powers worthless but you know I might be misremembering that here we see Magneto's file list his powers and abilities as energy meters in this was my favorite Easter egg in the episode because this is exactly like one of the Marvel trading cards from the early 9s my brother and I actually had the full set of series 1 through three but we didn't have all the Holo Cards cuz like those are super rare I even used to create my own comic book characters with profiles just like this under team affiliations we see the Brotherhood of evil mutants his original team from the comics and I'll talk about them in a second we also see the X-Men and the acolytes now the acolytes were actually a group of fanatical mutants who joined him in the season 4 episode Sanctuary and then he was betrayed by their former leader Fabian Cortez who also appears kind of in this episode's post-credit scene very long story short in season 5 Fabian ctez gave his body up to apocalypse so apocalypse could take a new form on Earth we also see that Magneto is widowed and they list his children Scarlet Witch Quicksilver and redacted now I think the redacted could be Lorna danne AKA Polaris who appeared in the episode cold comfort like Magneto she has the power of magnetism now there was a long period in the comics where she thought she was Magneto's child and it was revealed that she was and now I think it's been revealed that she actually is but like I think this is her because also later in the episode we see Quicksilver and Scarlet witch on this boat with the woman in Shadow who looks like Polaris now the children are on this boat to show Magneto that his rage his internal suffering is actually destroying the people he loves the people who are the future of the mutant race that he is trying to protect now also in this file under aliases we also see some awesome tributes legendary actor David hemlin vo Magneto on the original series and then we see Ian redacted and Michael redacted referencing Ian McCallen and Michael fast Bender each who played Magneto in the movies and by the way there is no way Magneto weighs 190 the guy is bulky as hell he's 220 easy I also thought that it was hilarious that the first page of the protocols just has codes on a posted note like the president wrote down the nuclear codes on a scrap of paper then the X-Men team up to fight Bastion and I've always thought that the X-Men worked better as a team than like any other team in the comics after all they spend hours and hours and hours in the danger room working to get their powers to work in concert with one another Jubilee hits Bastion with a disc of fireworks just like she saw her older self Us in Mojo world she even gives us a nod to her experience in the video game game overo but then they're all saved when Beast commers a sentinel like he did in the first episode this season and of course he can't resist making a reference to the classics dropping a nod to The Iliad ah the Greeks did love horses and irony Scott using his wide beam against Bastion reminded Mr cink kick on Twitter of a wide beam move that he does in the game Marvel versus Capcom and finally we see the X-Men United after they were apart for so long they were apart for one episode they were apart for so long finally United Scott asks himself what would the professor do and he chooses to appeal to bastion's humanity basically by calling his mom a liar your mother lied the professor came to you Bastion and then he tells him that he is not alone even though his mother always made him feel that way now this is the same lesson the professor is teaching Magneto that they can lose the people they love or be ostracized by their birth families but with mutants and with the X-Men you will always have a found family and that's what this book is really about found families the Xmen and I may not resemble each other but we are still family so this seems to finally get through to Bastian Humanity would rather die than have kids like us notice he acknowledges us meaning that he finally recognizes that he is also a mutant but then the Magneto protocols kick in with nuclear missiles being fired at the base knocking it out of orbit yeah why would they do that it's just going to crash in the earth and destroy the planet like they With The Dinosaurs well they thought the missile strike would destroy the Earth we regret to inform you that the missile strike to intercept the asteroid has failed so then Bastion chooses death over cake and is pulled into the antimatter core where I'm guessing he'll be chilling out with Kang the Conqueror until a rider comes along who has an idea for them to save himself morph changes into Reed Richards to adapt his stretchy Powers which okay the guy at this point dude you're just doing cameos for the sake of cameos if morph can shape shift then he could probably just stretch himself yeah yes but maybe morph struggles to Define his own identity so he can only mask himself with the faces of other people as a way to cope with his past traumas yeah great so I also love how bastion's face has been like seared away showing his metal skeleton underneath this makes him look even less human and more like the vision of Master Mold that meline saw back in episode 1 Cyclops offers to sacrifice himself to save the Earth and save the team telling Jean that's what you would do it's what you've done and of course he is referring to when she piloted their shuttle in the season 3 episode sacrifice the beginning of the Phoenix Saga instead the X-Men decide to work together which may end up sacrificing all their lives so this is a loose retelling of the end of the crossover fall of the mutants in that issue the X-Men sacrifice themselves to save the world but then they're given a second chance at life by passing through a portal called The Siege perilous long story but afterwards the world thinks the X-Men are dead for like months while the X-Men then used this as a chance to take down their enemies from the dark one at a time and you know then they go live in the Australian Outback they get split up and essentially they stop being a team for a few years like it was a great run where Chris Claremont really redefined the concept of a serialized team comic book the end of this episode also sets up a similar ending with the X-Men scattered across time but more on that in just a second back on Earth cable is recuperating while we hear his theme played in a minor key Scott and Jean then appear to say goodbye to him and Scott says Nathan I always swore I'd never repeat my father's mistake now here he's talking about Corsair the leader of the star Jammers Corsair was Kid kidnapped by the Shar and since he thought both of his sons were dead he never returned home in fact we see Scott's resentment about this boil over in season 4 you threw us away so you could go knock around the Galaxy Nathan admits that he grew up hearing stories about the X-Men and that made him jealous because he knew that he belonged in the past with his family now this is actually foreshadowing that ending with young Nate in the future but again I'll explain that in just a bit finally Jee holds back Scott's powers to show Nathan his father's eyes this is an iconic moment from the comic book that frankly the X-Men Last Stand butchered open this you can't hurt me a few moments later as the X-Men work together this epic choir sings their theme God the show is so good when it's good and then we cut to various scenes across the world including get this this is Peter Parker and Mary Jane from Spider-Man the Animated Series with Flash Thompson lurking behind them now for us fans this is actually a huge reveal because that series ended with Mary Jane getting trapped in the Multiverse and Spider-Man leaving with Madam Webb to go find her after stopping to give stanlee a gratuitous Cameo you know Spidey I've always wanted to experience real web so this moment confirms that Peter did find Mary Jane in the Multiverse but I still hope that we get to see all this play out in a Spider-Man Revival series also notice this teeny bit of web on the window like maybe a bit earlier Spider-Man swooped in to stop these riers from looting the buildings and man speaking of moments that hit hard how about when morph pretends to be Jean to comfort his friend she can't say it but I can I love you Logan stay with me now again this was foreshadowed earlier this season when morph pretended to be Jean just to tease his buddy and I'm having the most beautiful baby in the world with the most boring man in the world and oh hello you on the side lines meanwhile Nightcrawler recites The Lord's Prayer to Magneto and Charles and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us while Charles while he's in Magneto's mind finally gets through to his old friend do you remember him Magnus remember what he was meant to do and then just like the professor said they could only save the world with Magneto's help at the UN delegates cheered the man that they just held on trial and speaking of which they repaired this chamber really fast right yeah like maybe they have a spare antichamber yeah right like Palpatine kept one an exle for like events and stuff said then we get to the ending the asteroid disappears blinked out of time we cut to 6 months later when chains are in an X shape sealing off the school now we see various tributes outside calling the X-Men Heroes however that's not the sentiment that everybody shares as we'll talk about in just a second inside Forge is working to get a new team together to reform the X-Men and this is really exactly what happens in the comics after the X-Men die and then they're scattered across the world Forge Works to bring them all back together leading into a crossover called the mure island Saga that rebooted the team and in the Jim Lee era in the early 9s now the poster behind him is a recreation of John Burn's famous cover from Days of Future Past so this makes me really excited because I think that we could see some of these Heroes become a new team of X-Men in season 2 for instance we see the following are available Iceman a former X-Men dust Colossus his sister magic Shadow Cat Havoc Exodus and Emma Frost It also says that cable Jubilee and Sunspot are all awall Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are offworld and maybe they're on adaland the inhuman City on the moon where in the comics Quicksilver fed a child with the inhuman Crystal but then again Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are also both Avengers so maybe they're just away on Avengers business and also notice that Archangel is listed as missing presumed dead now this could be hinting at the big post credits reveal that I'll talk about in a second on the TV we hear some disturbing news in other news Gren Creed edged ahead in polls today so Creed is the leader of the Friends of Humanity the anti- mutant hate group he's apparently running for president against Kelly and is gaining in the polls so it goes to show that you know there a large number of people out there who are just tired of hearing about mutants and they want some strong guy to cut through the garbage and tell it like it is so we can all go back to normal the radio also says as President Kelly takes heat about the situation in Sant Marco now this is a fictional country that first appeared way back in X-Men number four when Magneto first formed the Brotherhood of evil mutants and takes over the nation so what we're hearing here is the world is becoming more radicalized and more polarized on two very different violent extremes sometimes art imitates life and then Bishop shows up where the heck has he been all season long right and then he gives Forge some hope but it's less a question about where and more when so this is implying that Bishop knows the X-Men are trapped in the time stream and more than that that he expected them to become trapped in the time stream now we're not sure yet who exactly blinked them out of time it could be Bishop it could be apocalypse heck it could have even been IM mortise well look we're going to do a whole Indian explained video so I don't want to go too far into this but season 4 ends with this massive time travel story where apocalypse tries to rewrite all of time and that episode ends with the tease of IM mortis AKA a Kang the Conqueror variant and shows that he was actually guiding Bishop secretly the entire time also Bishop mentions that he knows Forge because in the future Forge is the guy who runs the machine that keeps sending him back in time and then in the post credits we see the X-Men divided the bulk of the team ends up in Egypt 3,000 BC where they rescue a mutant from persecution this is Sab who will of course grow up to be the super villain apocalypse meanwhile Scott and Jee land in another realm dominated by apocalypse the far future they encounter mother esani leader of Clan esan now in the comics this is the person that Scott gave baby Nathan to so she could save his life in the future and here we do see young Nathan Nathan come so this is all taken from the comic book Cyclops and the Phoenix where Scott and Jean inhabit the bodies of two people in the future named slim and red now they actually get to raise Nathan in the future for years without ever telling him who they really are so in this episode when cable talks about hearing stories about the X-Men this would have been who he heard those stories from and notice the young Nate is even wearing the same little hat that he wore in those comics and then finally we end in present day Genosha and apocalypse is hungry for vengeance so Much Death apocalypse believes in survival of the fittest and now he has seen people unfit to survive humans have slaughtered his kind so I hope this is setting up a loyal adaptation of the comic crossover Age of Apocalypse in that story Xavier is assassinated leading to a dystopian present day when apocalypse conquers North America and Magneto leads the X-Men in resistance against him this could also be why Archangel is missing presumed Dead in season 1 he became one of the horsemen of apocalypse and then pursued him in season 4 maybe apocalypse has kidnapped him and brainwashed him again or maybe Warren is just out there searching for Apocalypse so he can stop him before his next plan kicks into motion but like I said we have a video coming out soon about all the stories this could be setting up for season 2 I just want to thank all of you for watching our coverage of this all
