just want to know when les is that right well travis in the news game we all have to pay our dues i'm bringing her along slowly we all just have to wait and see i'll know when she's ready well i think she's ready now that was part of the deal part of the job right mr carlson hmm oh uh well there's certainly an idea there uh no there isn't i mean i'm down with me as a matter of fact les i think are you news people bailey what are you saying i'm saying that i quit liz what what that's right andy oh bailey i went to the wall for you on this one uh now mind your own business andy uh she knows what she wants do you know sure if what i wanted to do was be a news reporter i'd i give it my best shot but that's not what i want to do what do you want to do do you want to see her at this desk and and schedule commercials the rest of your life no i thought i'd be in upper management what do you mean you won carlson's job no i thought i could have yours you'd be very good at it baby look here lass you heard the lady yeah i heard the lady and i've also watched you do everything you could do to break your spirit and i don't like it and i don't like you giving up bailey now if you'll both excuse me i i i gotta go bowling it's just one of those things i can't get out of you know i can't get anything done around here bailey are you sure you're not just doing this for me oh no you're sure Such a great show. I remember watching it with my grandfather. It was his favorite show in his 90’s. Good memories.

Awesome series. The notion of a midwest radio station changing with the times was very original. Some said the original artist music they used in the station made it even better. Those music rights kept it from DVD release for years until someone substituted permissible music. The Lonnie / Herb thing kept people in stitches, Herb always getting shot down. Bonner did a superb job at being everyone's sleezy disingenuous, woman chasing, salesman. The show had so many great scenes and lines, the Turkeys Away, Les dressed as carp fighting in the mens room with the WPIG mascot. Big guy using the cocaine footpowder getting a monkey on his foot, Lonnie telling Herb she didn't like little gustos. The show routinely mixed serious life situations and hilarity. Another great series from the ERA was SOAP.
