love it last night i got the really amazing privilege of being able to be at resignation and and shared my heart it was so fun what a beautiful house such amazing people and then last night we went out to dinner and we went to some place in grapevine called cheeks checks jakes burger place and we're hanging out and we're witnessing to the waiter and sharing the gospel with them and just amazing and we get to the end i don't know how many people we had nine people jackie you are on it my wife remembers everything and uh we went to payer bill and the guy goes hey um your bill's already taken care of i'm like so good who was it well they just they just told us that they wanted to pay your bill they didn't want recognize they're gone i'm like what sounds just like jesus don't let your left hand see what your right hand is doing but i was so thankful for their left hand last night it was amazing they blessed us but you know what when you do that all the time and you bless people it does come around and it's really amazing and i just love it it's amazing okay so i'm not going to take any more time william is going to share tonight from risen nation pastor william hen guys will you do somebody's already got their hands up man you're ready bro you're ready back there let's all lift our hands come on let's all lift our hands thank you lord you turn it up a little bit [Music] thanks we're talking in the back and we're talking about how in revelation eight says that the seventh seal was open and heaven went silent for half an hour it says that an angel came and gathered up the incense of the saints which represents the prayer and the worship if you look it up in greek the prayer and the worship of the saints that heaven went silent an angel came and gathered up the incense of the saints and laid it before the altar of the lord [Music] the lord accepted the fragrance and allowed the angel to take fire from the altar and pour it back to the earth it's revelation 8 heaven goes silent to listen to the worship of us worship is not something that we generate it's not an atmosphere we create it's one that we join there's constant worship right now happening right now before the throne and there is a man up there so lord we welcome you into this house of worship come on lift your hands father i thank you that tonight you receive god will we give back to you that this is about ministering to you lord i thank you that you are going to move with power as we pull on your virtue i thank you that not one leave feeling unworthy because lord you wouldn't have died come on every eye close i want you to see this man come on the bloodiest scene you could have ever imagined just look at him [Music] it says in isaiah that they that he gave his face as they pulled out his beard says he gave his back as they beat him he didn't turn his face as they spit and they mocked him but he put the whole world on his back and he said that you were the joy that was set before him that he endured the cross because you were the joy that was set before him it says in jeremiah 31 come on receive it over yourself i have loved you with an everlasting love [Music] he's always desired that you be his everlasting habitation all the way from the beginning [Music] it's always been you jesus it's always been us that you've desired may our desire meet yours tonight may we be apprehended god with the same level that you are apprehended by us we behold the lamb god we ask that you mark us tonight with desire that you mark us tonight with passion that you mark us tonight with zeal until it's eating us up god for your house we belong to you we behold you you're perfect god you're perfect receive our worship tonight jesus name and everybody said amen amen come on you house can we honor todd and jackie thank you for having me nice job that was good um it's always an honor to be here the lord is doing something amazing he's stewarding something and uh he's taking us in this hour from wielding the anointing to yielding to it and i i this isn't what i'm going to preach but i felt to read this to you like right at the end of worship right when ronnie came up and just dropped that review from the lord um but i felt it when she said it and i want to read this to you this is romans 8 okay and just listen this is the passion trans translation okay it says this verse one so now the case is closed and there remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are enjoined in life union with jesus for the law of the spirit of life flowing through the anointing of jesus has liberated us from the law of sin and death for god achieved what the law was unable to accomplish because the law was limited by the weakness of human nature yet god sent his son in human form to identify with human weakness clothed with humanity god's son gave his body to be the sin offering so that god could once and for all condemn the guilt and the power of sin verse 4 so now every righteous requirement of the law can be fulfilled or the anointed one living his life in you and we are free to live not according to the flesh but by the dynamic power of the holy spirit and listen to this this is 8 chapter 8 verse 14 the mature children of god are those who are moved by the impulses of the holy spirit and you did not receive a spirit of religious duty leading you back into the fear of never being good enough but you have received the spirit of full acceptance in folding you into the family of god gosh and you will never feel orphaned for as he rises up within us our spirits join him in saying the words of tender affection beloved father for the holy spirit makes god's fatherhood real to us as he whispers into our innermost being you are god's beloved child you know what isaiah 64 says it says your name is hefsaba you know what that word means in hebrew it means your name is god delights in you like what god has named you is i delight in you that's your name before god and he says and i'm going to call your land bayula and that word means i'm going to call your land married so your name is god delights in you and the ground you stand on proves that you're married the case is closed it's closed romans 6 says at least seven times that we have been set free from sin like when god says something or his word says something how much does that mean it when he said i've given you the mind of christ how much did he give did he only give halfway or did he fully give himself like i understand jesus was a man 100 but i've been thinking about this like do you realize john 1 it says that in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god and hebrews 1 listen it says that all things were made and he holds all things together by the word of his power colossians says that all things were made through him for him and in him all things consist god wrapped himself in flesh and god walked himself to a cross now the case is closed and there remains no accusing voice what that looks like practically today is how many of you have kids raise your hand how many of you if you if you like had a child that went to school i've got a four-year-old that it's coming up for him and and i thought about this to myself if if somebody came to my child right and for those of you that know me and hear this a lot just minister with me okay um sir i could hear it i can hear it oh i've heard this story before i'm a man of one thing and if you get tired of that you're tired of jesus so um because listen he's he is phenomenal and there's always more to discover his presence is absolutely enough we don't need another revelation what we have today is deep wells with no water in it revelation after revelation without the spirit of god filling you that makes you go oh my gosh he's beautiful even more today we're going to get there in a little bit but if you had a child and that child went to school every single day and a teacher went up to them to that child and said listen you're never going to amount to anything you're worthless you are terrible at school don't even don't even try to get a job and you'll never get a job you'll never be your life is worthless what would you do as a parent i'm sorry todd i would take the pastor's hat off for a second and i would deal with the voice of the accuser like like like i would as a parent have to work very hard not to silence forever the voice of the accuser right and i would go to the school and i'd find out where the accuser is and i'd have a word with that accuser and then after i silenced the accuser i would go to my son for the rest of his life and spend eternity telling him how worth it he is do you realize that god wrapped himself in flesh and came down to close the case and deal with the voice of the accuser and he silenced the voice of the accuser so the only way the accuser has voice is if you give it to him but you know what has bigger voice blood listen do you know that in genesis 4 god came to abel and he said or he came to cain and he said where is the blood of your brother cries out to me from the earth which means that blood has voice in genesis 4 if his blood cried out from the earth right then the blood of jesus also has voice and speaks a better word that's what we see in scripture so if listen if the blood of abel cried justice and it came up before the lord the blood of jesus christ mercy on your behalf listen we i just man this isn't what i was gonna actually talk about but ronnie this is your fault ronnie this is ronnie's fault because you're right there's people in here that just don't believe him yet listen to this this is this is from john 1 verse 16 and of his fullness we have received and grace for grace for the law was given through moses but grace and truth came through jesus christ no one has seen god at any time just listen no one has seen god at any time but the only begotten son who is in the bosom of the father he has declared him that word declared means explained him think with me for a second no one has seen god so whatever moses's picture was was half of a picture that's why i only saw his backside all of the prophets everyone no one had seen god at any time but the son what does hebrews once say that he was the express image of his person jesus came as the exact imprint of who the father was so whatever your opinion of god is if you don't see it through the lens of jesus's life it's not a real opinion because jesus comes and the point of jesus coming wasn't just to take away your sin believe it or not but the point of jesus coming was to actually reveal your father to you when he said pray pray he didn't say when you pray pray my father he said when you pray pray our father like what is man that you are so mindful of him the psalmist said that word means what is man that your mind is so full of him that's all you think about the son of man that you have visited him so if no one had seen god at any time no one had a full revelation of god other than the son so the son came to fully explain him like let me explain think about it and this is what it sounded like we all know john 3 16 but do we know 17 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that who whosoever believed in him will never perish but have eternal life for god did not come to condemn you this is 17 john 3 17 for he did not come to condemn you but that through him the world might be saved i'm not sure you realize how phenomenally good he is that he's nothing other than love if if it says that god is love i heard it a.w tozer i didn't hear him but i read a quote a.w tozer said this everything god is he is forever and he is immutably which means he is forever and that never changes so if he says i am love he can be nothing other than love do you know it never said i am wrath and do you know that god's not bipolar he's not like some days i like you and some days i want to just throw you in hell if god's merciful here's what it means i'm merciful to you and i can never stop it because my nature is love you see when we see god in this picture in this light of jesus comes and he catches a woman in adultery and he says i don't condemn you go and sin no more the power to know more sin is the fact that god doesn't condemn us and when we really believe that we'll catch the revelation of i can live a life that is free from sin and death because true love actually causes me to consecrate myself like i'm i'm fully in love married to my wife emily who's watching i love you baby and and i don't walk around trying not to commit adultery i'm blinded by love i don't go to the grocery store fighting my arm not to steal a candy bar i'm just not a thief it's not who i am and when my child throws something in the basket i say ah and i go back and i gotta my son stole this i'm sorry say sorry to the to the lady because it's not in me you see behavior modification is not transformation he didn't come to make bad people good he came to bring dead people back to life there is no part of you that can even can even be a part of an old nature we are so confused like we're at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil do i want to be a bad boy today or a good boy today please jesus help me and he's over there called the tree of life saying if you would just come eat of me if you would just drink of me you would never sin or even have the desire again like what if that was possible it's in the bible and i'm pretty sure every word in the bible means it's true because it says that this is the truth he wants to set us free from ourselves from the thinking that we could ever do this on our own he came and he wrapped himself in flesh when he sought a man that would stand in the gap he found no one so god became a man and threw himself in a gap you could never fill and then said here come here i'm going to become sin so you can become my righteousness and then looking back at your life you're going to think i had nothing to do with it all you have to do is believe that's amazing that's so easy i'm afraid we believe more in the fall of adam than we believe in the accomplishment of the cross because if we really fully believe the cross we would never again be full of guilt shame and condemnation listen do you know that when you say i'm not worthy you're saying god i don't value your blood i'm not i'm i'm just i'm a silly sinner that's all i am just a sinner sinner sinner you just spit on his face every time he died for that sinner to become a son he wants to set us free from our thinking that we have the ability to become like him in our own strength his mercy came down and he got a full revelation of you so you could get a full revelation of him and now he says enter into that throne room the with boldness that throne of grace it's his mercy that sets us free it's his love that sets us free and listen he's nothing other than who he says that he is is he does he have wrath of course but it can't be outside of love because he is love does he judge absolutely he's a he is a judge i heard mike bickle one time say that the judgments of god are anything it's ripping away anything that keeps you from loving him he cannot be anything other i just really the four creatures that are full of eyes they've never found a bad side of him they've never said don't catch him on a bad day because he might kill you never so whatever your idea of god is maybe you've read the old testament and you're confused if you add but jesus it just all makes sense because jesus came and you follow the old testament you'll see literally like lying generational lines are taken out to protect the seed and it was like god's saying just wait till they see my heart wait till they see the reason why i had to do what i had to do because without the sun there could be no life that's why jesus went down to the pit this is so powerful and i just man you get this picture of the son of the cross and the father proclaiming this has always been my heart this has always been who i am i am love and without a choice gosh i did not want to go here lord like jesus was in plan b the land that was slain before the foundation of the world is what the word says so jesus shows up on the scene and it wasn't like a backup plan he is the plan you see adam didn't even know how to love god how do you know god's mercy how do you know it how do you know his mercy because you know what it's like to be outside of it how do you know god's goodness because you needed it what kind of marriage is it if it's just arranged but you see a marriage that says i chose you that's why the power of choice is so powerful because god's looking for a generation that says i've i know what it's like to be outside of you and then i touched you and i tasted you like the disciples said him who we have seen heard and handled with our hands it's him that we witness of like he wounded them with love until they decided i don't want anything else like when he came to the he said listen you eat my flesh and drink my blood and many left him on that day he turns to disciples and he says will you leave me too you're like where are we gonna go you have the words of eternal life i'm sorry if that confuses you but my jesus was always in the beginning he's always been the lamb that was slain and the father's wisdom knew the son would come so that they can choose to love me all right if you have uh theological questions about that you can ask todd or jason or any of them no i don't want to anymore you said you opened it robert you want to explain it no he doesn't okay i'm just quoting the scriptures that's all that's it i literally haven't said anything that isn't in the bible and so the reality is is like you can continue to think that god is this god that just wants to destroy you and smite you and send you to hell or you can find out about this god who is nothing other than love and you don't have to live a life afraid of hell you can live a life of pleasure before the lord like it says it says this about you know enoch i love it it says that before he was translated into heaven his life had become a pleasure to the lord you are beloved before him and i'm all four i'm all for like nazarite vows but what if there's a higher revelation i'm all for nazarite vows but i believe god wants us to encounter a shulamites revelation because i'm telling you the secret to consecration is not in your strength the secret to consecration is realizing my name is hefsaba the secret to righteousness is realizing my name is hefsiba and i don't have to be at a tree of knowledge of good and evil confused out of my mind for the rest of my life i can actually be trained by the impulses of the spirit and eat from the tree of life and never desire anything else ever again what if it was possible all right i'm gonna move on you're amazing to him he is fascinated by you and here's something that will offend religion do you know that he loves your feet probably more than you love his do you know that this is his relationship to lead and ours to follow you see religion always wants we want to we want to work we want to work for we want to work for it but you couldn't work this i feel resistance because we love performance but you're on a treadmill not getting anywhere doing a lot not getting anywhere it's time we get off that treadmill of performance and we find a place called seated in heavenly places and listen we'll get more done in rest than we've ever done in striving bill johnson says that bill johnson says it like this in the kingdom there's lovers and workers and lovers they just get a lot more done [Music] he loves you and if you would just become fascinated by him as much as he's fascinated with you we would see miracles break out everywhere we go amen okay let's move let's we'll not move on because that's something to stay on you know what i'm saying but i just man ronnie great job that was powerful i want you to go to psalms 27. the case is closed okay listen to this this is psalms 27. verse three and i and i just want to preface with this i am i am like possessed by this idea that we and i just want to release this over this how like this word tonight is really just something to release over this house something i believe that you are walking into and we as riza nation are going to lock arms with you in that but i'm possessed by this thought that we corporately can be god's dwelling place on earth i'm consumed by this reality in this truth that like first peter 2 says that we as the living stones upon the chief cornerstone are being built up into a dwelling place for the lord right and and there's something that i feel god wants to to teach us he wants to teach this generation and what he's doing todd you said it in the back as he's raising up a generation with a bridal groan in their heart he's raising up a generation where they've been so captivated so wounded in such a beautiful way by his love like in matthew 9 listen i i the lord is removing performance and striving in this hour and getting us back to just the one thing but in matthew 9 you know john's disciples i talked about a little bit the last ones here they come to the disciples of jesus and jesus himself and they say listen us and the pharisees we fast but why don't you guys fast like we're way more radical than you guys and we do all of the spiritual disciplines and stuff but all they do is just stay close to you all day all they do is just walk around with you and yeah the dead are raised but like what are they doing you see peter learns something that literally caused his shadow to heal the sick i think there's something to listen and pay attention to and they're like you know all they do is just they stay in proximity to you too simple not enough and jesus responds and he says when the bridegroom's with you you can't mourn but they will fast i love that part oh they're gonna fast all right it's just gonna be for a different reason and he says you can't take old you can't take new wine and put it in old wine skin it doesn't even really seem to make sense but what he's saying is listen i'm going to change the paradigm of why and how you pursue me and here's how i'm going to change that paradigm i'm going to become a man and i'm going to and i'm going to ruin you with myself in proximity for three and a half years and while the pharisees and john's disciples were doing the spiritual disciplines that the law put in place jesus shows up on the scene and is healing people on sabbath he says and i'm going to cut you to the heart for three and a half years with nearness and proximity and so that when i ascend your heart will be cut wide open and you're fasting now the listen the new wine skin is called lovesick and what that's doing is it's raising a generation like in revelation 22 where the spirit and the bride there is this groaning in your heart that sounds like this you ready come do you feel it it sounds like this come lord because we've tasted something and while you're trying to like get his attention i'm pretty sure we have his attention because he's here with us get into the disciples head of if we just stay close to him there's going to be something that rises in my heart that's literally going to build a city of god in the earth so i'm i'm possessed by this idea like obsessed with it addicted to it i wake up with it i go to sleep with it some of the people that go to my church that are here like rachel ding i honor you i can hear you i don't know where you are but there you are yep they hear me say this probably every week but until we become a people of one thing the psalms 27 until we become a people that the only thing we can muster up is come lord jesus come we are not going to see the power of god that we need to see in the earth and we can do our discipline i'm for discipline just as long as it's driven and motivated by love because anything outside of that is just religious and you're not getting anywhere like listen i don't care if you if you pray for 48 people a day if it's not in love you are a clashing symbol in front of someone's face if you are not driven and motivated by the impulses of i am driven by the spirit of god i'm dr why how could i not say something i'm driven by him you see that kind of drive that produces presence and i believe we are moving into an hour where the actual emphasis with an aim will not be on power but on presence and it'll go from power evangelism to presence evangelism listen it's much easier to walk in the room with jesus holding your hand than trying to pull him in with tools you learned at an equipping conference i'm sorry i'm all for equipping conferences we do them but what are we equipping people with like are we equipping them with let me teach you what he likes let me teach you what gets them into a room and then when you walk into starbucks god will be there do you know that jesus never taught them how to heal the sick i mean at least as far as what i read he just told him to do it you know that he never said i'm going to give you a class on how to raise the dead and they never asked it's so amazing to me they never asked how how do you get a word of knowledge they never asked those things they just stayed close to him imagine that they caught something they caught something just being around him they caught something they saw him go lazarus come forth man that was learning he never did a class with them and you know when they did ask him questions they would say things like this teach us to pray show us the father always relational i mean that was the wrong question because jesus was the father standing there he's like how long do i got to be with you phillip but that's besides the point i mean you know not really but you get what i'm saying they never came like i i said it the last time i was here the whole thing is just a bunch of impossible commands and i heard bill johnson say he's really smart so i just quote him a lot but i heard him say you know i came to the conclusion that this whole thing is just a list of impossible commands and i'm pretty sure the whole point is just to realize that i can't do it without you pretty sure that's the point is the whole point is i'm gonna make them taste something but they're never gonna see it until they just want me like like in john it says well let's just we'll get to psalms 27 all right promise we'll get there says this john 2 verse 23 many believed in his name when they saw the signs which he did but jesus did not commit himself to them because he knew all men don't turn there just listen because he knew all men and had no need that anyone should testify of man for he knew what was in man so listen to this many believed in his name just because they saw the signs but he didn't commit himself to them because they believed more in what he did than who he was and so he didn't entrust his life to them but you got to understand the secret to his power is his life it's bringing his person into a room it's not us learning how to like you've never gotten a word of knowledge from your knowledge it's never happened not one time do you know that and if it was from you it was wrong you've never gotten a prophecy that came from you it's all from him he's the beginning and the end and everything in between i mean we're talking about a god who caused the earth to hang on nothing and then said something crazy like i want to live in you like do you realize that all the cosmos and how vast it is we've discovered four to six percent of the universe that it says and it's growing in every direction still at the speed of light that's confusing that's crazy that's our god he said it one time and he just kept listening imagine if we did that as man but that's another message everything listen everything is still in order except man like the waves they know their distances the moon the stars it the sun comes up it's so faithful because it was told at one time and it hasn't stopped listening listen the universe is still growing because one time they heard let there be light and it just kept listening and so the scientists they can't keep up with it because god's word is so powerful way more powerful than their science and here listen to this this is it's going to get crazy ready uh all of it the vastness of it all is a speck into comparison to what lives in you because the one who made all of it said i want your little life to be my everlasting habitation that is crazy and we're like struggling we're offended what you see how like silly it sounds when you just magnify god you think wow he's really big what did what was i mad about again wait i don't even remember what they said nick could you imagine if we listened like creation the power the power that we would see okay so psalms 27 first three though an army may encamp against me my heart shall not fear the war may rise up against me in this i will be confident if we can get this i promise you miracles signs and wonders will follow i promise but here's the key we got to move from just wanting generals of the faith to every single person walking up the mountain together we don't listen we don't need any more moses leaders today love moses we love being moses we love coming down the mountain and our face is shining and everyone's like wow look at their relationship with god what about yours look at what i want to walk in what they walk in what if god has something so special and so unique for you that you didn't just try to sound like everybody on youtube and we binge watch youtube preachers more than we binge read the bible and so all right we don't need moses coming down a mountain we need a generation that like it says in isaiah that we walk up the mountain of the lord together and many will come to the mountain of god do you know that he invited everybody up in exodus he said i want you to come near the mountain and i want to speak to the children of israel and they were too afraid and they told moses no you stand in the gap you hear him for us we don't want to come close it's so sad they rejected the lord and jesus comes and he invites us all in and what we need is a new breed of leader that is inviting everybody up with them in this i am confident that i have one thing i desire his confidence was in his desire this is what i felt the lord wanted to do tonight is just impart fresh desire and a fresh spirit of burning for him one thing i have desired of the lord that i will seek that i may dwell in the house of the lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the lord and to inquire in his temple for in a time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion in the secret place of his tabernacle he shall hide me and he shall set me upon a high rock i once heard somebody say we usually wait till verse 5 happens to actually believe verse four we usually wait till there's trouble then we go to the one desire but if we could learn to live in one desire we will see a dwelling place for the lord and what i was saying about leaders this is why i'm saying it because not one person can can build this house alone if we want to actually see the supernatural power of god yes god anoints people but how powerful would it be i remember one time i i i was actually with gabriel we went to this this church and i walked in and no joke there's like i mean we flew there and the lord really convicted my heart we walked in and there's like 15 people in this room and at the time we had just launched the church and i was like super busy and i walked in and this subtle thing kind of uh like came into my heart of did i make the wrong decision and the lord rebuked me and the lord said to me imagine if there was three just like me in the earth you know that it said of jesus that he did more than all the books of the world could contain imagine if there was three of them imagine if there was a million of them that fully believed and so if i i obviously repented immediately and i said lord if we just get one we are building the living stone until we see listen the city of god in the earth the revelation 21 that there's coming a day an angel will say behold the tabernacle of god is with men on earth that day is coming and the glory of the lord will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea and while listen most of christianity is just waiting on getting the heck out of here god's raising a remnant that are going to fill the earth with his glory that are not afraid of who's president they don't care who's president i mean we want a godly men in office but what i but what i haven't forgotten is we have a god who's on the throne and he hasn't fallen off and as it gets darker and darker and darker which it is i mean it's gonna just keep getting darker we're don't be surprised when all of the craziness starts breaking out but it's not gonna break out in your house the glory of the lord will arise upon you deep darkness will cover the earth but not your house because the glory of the lord is gonna rise upon you listen as it gets darker the people of god have an opportunity to get brighter here and i'm going to go with the promises that there's coming a day come on revelation 11 there's coming a day that that it will be said in heaven the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdom of our god and his christ that is going to come out of a people that have a groan in their heart of come lord jesus come not to rescue me come out of me like a roaring lion you know when it says behold i am coming quickly that word means i am going to appear quickly that's powerful do i believe he's coming absolutely i believe right now god is prepping his bride for the true coming of the bridegroom and he's going to come like a thief in the night but i'm telling you you are the chamber of god oh hold on listen listen listen listen this is so good the heavens declare the glory of god psalms 19 the firmament shows his handiwork day on the day out of speech a night on the night reveals knowledge there is no speech in our language where their voice is not heard he's talking about you there's no speech nor language that their voice has not heard their line has gone out through all the earth the psalmist is prophesying and their words to the end of the world listen to this in them he has set a tabernacle for the son it's s-u-n but he's giving us a picture in you you are the tabernacle of the sun listen listen which is like a bridegroom is what you talked about which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and rejoices like a strong man ready to run its race its rising is from one end of heaven and its circuit is to the other end and nothing will be hidden from its heat listen to this you are a tabernacle right and when you've gone beyond the veil with him what if he's coming back out the other side and coming after the world what if we got away from the world we're in the veil and we are it's just you and him and the response of that is i'm gonna appear before the whole world and i'm gonna do it through a generation that heaven is on tiptoe romans 8 waiting for creation is groaning see i think our groan hasn't matched creations yet creation is groaning for the revelation the manifestation of the sons of god that's i wasn't enough for him and he said he said it's not enough that the glory would just come into my city how can i bear the fact that i'm dwelling in a house of cedar while he sits in a tent and he and he praised this thing and saw in second samuel seven and he and he tells the prophet the nathan the prophet i want to build a house for god he didn't say i want to build a house for israel this is where we've got it wrong in the church he didn't say i want to build a house for a community it's where we've got it wrong in the church he didn't say i want to build a house for a family he said i want to build a house for him and this explosive no one had ever asked that up to this point in david's life and now remember this has always been in god's heart to raise a people in deuteronomy 7 6 he says listen you are my chosen peculiar generation a people for me and they didn't listen in deuteronomy so david shows up on the scene and david listen david didn't have it all morally figured out actually quite opposite and we obviously value moral character here but through the grace of the son who actually empowers you through grace to live grace is not a license to sin but the actual empowerment to live like jesus right and so but david david man he was not he didn't have it all figured out like did some horrible things but yet he had this heart in him that says i want to build a house for you and this explosive response comes from god in second email seven he says actually david i'm gonna build you a house like this deep unto deep exchange i used to think until i really met the compassion of the father i used to think that it was like okay david that's cute you're gonna build me a house okay i'm gonna build you a house but think about the father's heart if you want to do that for me actually david you have no idea what i'm about to do because you asked me that i'm gonna build you a house and he would pray things like this in psalms 132. i just i actually want to read it so i don't get any of it wrong says this lord remember david in all his afflictions and how he swore to the lord and vowed to the mighty one of jacob surely i will not go into the chamber of my house nor go up to the comfort of my bed i will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids until i find a place for the lord a dwelling place for the mighty one of jacob behold we heard it we found it in the fields of the woods let us go up to his tabernacle and let us worship at his footstool arise o lord to your resting place this is the cry of a generation this is the cry of this house and that man and that woman is arise to your resting place like listen you want to see the power of god flow in evangelism prophecy the apostolic we have to get our requests right we have to get our aim corrected you see for so long in my life as a christian my aim used to be be righteous be righteous be righteous and i never got there but when my aim adjusted to him when my aim went from just be a good boy to be in union right when it went from stop sitting to union you see there's this word the early greek fathers would use called perikeresis and it actually was how they would describe the father son and the holy spirit it was another way of saying trinity in the early days of the greek fathers and that word means mutual indwelling and it was derived from the circle dance at a wedding at greek weddings they i i come from a greek heritage and you get in a circle and everyone's kind of doing the same thing and you're in perfect unison going in this circle and that word pericaresis means circle dance mutual indwelling god sent his son to bring us back into the circle dance colossians 2 says this that the godhead still dwells in bodily form and you have been given the fullness of him when we really begin to understand that and we come into union inside of that circle there's no sin inside of that circle there's no striving inside of that circle there's not even a temptation for it so we gotta we gotta adjust our aim and when we get the aim right the fruit will follow but you can't be something that he had to come and destroy self you have to die to yourself and come alive to god and jump back into the circle dance of mutual indwelling i in him in him and me it's no longer these are all scriptures i who live but christ in me come on it says that when he appears we appear with him it says that when he was crucified you were crucified that when he died you died when he was buried you were buried when he was quick and you were quickened when he was raised you were raised his own scripture and when he was seated in heavenly places you were too if it doesn't get any more one than that i mean jesus prayed in john 17 for crying out loud father may they be one his prayers get answered even as you and i are one and may they be in us and listen he matches this is this is david's prayer in psalms 27 that i may dwell in the house of the lord all the days of my life and behold the beauty of the lord you know what jesus prayed in john 17 see jesus read this stuff he knew the scriptures this was his desire john 17 verse 24 father i desire david said i have one desire it's my confidence is that i desire one thing to dwell and to behold that's my desire that's my aim listen to the aim of jesus he matches it and he says this father i desire that they also who you have given me may be where i am there's the dwelling and they may behold my glory i don't know if you see it but he matches psalms 27 and he says david this was your desire and it touched my heart so much that here's mine back i want you to dwell with me and i want you to behold me forever what david moved the heart of god so much that he ended the whole book in revelation 22 by identifying his own son as the root of david because david had a peculiar heart about him of i want to build you a house and this is the end game of revelation 21 is that the words will be said from heaven the tabernacle of god the house of god is with men and he will dwell with them if this is his aim why would ours be any different if miracles are the aim we'll never see miracles if righteousness is the aim we'll never be right but when union is the aim righteousness and power is the byproduct and listen it's just like marriage i am in love with my wife so adultery doesn't cross my mind when i said i computer and watch pornography never if we wouldn't do that with our natural dad in the room how much more our heavenly father see we don't have a sin problem we have a presence problem and if we listen first chronicles 13. i've talked about this a lot just deal with it as a nation first chronicles 13 david has a desire it's it's it matches second samuel 7 but before he wants to bring the glory in but he makes these mistakes he doesn't inquire of the lord he inquires of the people first mistake he doesn't prepare a place for god second mistake he puts the ark on a cart pulled by oxen third mistake and they worship really loud without discerning him fourth mistake i don't have time to go through it all i want you to i'm going to give you homework read first chronicles 13-15 and ask the lord to reveal to you how we get him in a room but in first chronicles 13 david goes to the people he doesn't prepare a place he's not prepared he doesn't he puts the cart on an on oxen he puts the ark of the covenant on a cart pulled by oxen because they didn't want to put it on their shoulders they wanted to make it easy kind of like church today you know don't go more than 15 minutes in worship you'll lose them let's forget about the part that's for him and just i heard todd say this i'm blaming this on you he one time said let's let's quickly get over the part that's about him and just get to the part that's about us no that's the wrong way of thinking so think about this they wanted to be innovative kind of like the church today they want it to be easy they want people to like it i have news for you people want their families to be healed they want their sickness to leave they want their lives to be restored more than they want a good visitors packet there's a generation that wants an authentic encounter with god and is done playing church actually let me see like this is done playing synagogues because the true church and i feel the lord the true church is not a place for us to come and just love on one another that's a byproduct of making this house about him that is a byproduct about first tending to him and making this a place where god you are welcome here and the the barometer of our success is not how many people came but did you come the barometer of our success this the aim is not the stadium the aim is did he come in the room today and in chapter 15 listen uzza touches the ark in chapter 13 of first chronicles and it kills him and it says the lord broke out because they were disobedient they didn't follow the pattern and david was upset and he was offended so they sent the ark of the covenant to the house will be edom for three months and the house was blessed and david starts thinking man he's doing something right i need to figure out what i did wrong so i can bring the glory of god into my city and in chapter 15 there's significant changes if you look for it you'll find it there's significant changes that he makes the first thing he does is he inquires of the lord and he tells the children of israel because listen i need everyone's attention because we didn't heed the instruction of the lord ooza died and so here's what he does in chapter 15 he prepares a place for him like he sets the tone for the lord this is why excellence is needed this is why i love and when i come here there's or the volunteers here are priesthood carries it and no one dies because this is not meant to have just generals of the faith this is meant to raise a royal priesthood a chosen generation a kingdom of priests and kings that carry listen that carried the ark of the covenant together and when they corporately carried it no one died the third thing they did is they went from worshipping with all their might which was they just made a lot of noise it could have sounded amazing but in chapter 15 it says they found a skillful worshiper you know what the word skillful means in hebrew they found a discerning one it's just it's this is why this book is life and sometimes i just think we read it but there's life in it there's strategy on how to build a house for god in it every answer is inside of it the whole thing follow the order it's so simple so they found a discerning worshiper that knew what he liked and the glory of god follows david in as he dances like a wild man kind of like todd into the city [Music] you didn't attend to me here's what i'm going to do i'm going to stick you at the door and all you're going to be is a minister to people and today in church we've made the pinnacle of christianity is how many people are in my church a minister to them and the more people that like me the more them there is the better i am wrong because they ministered to them before their idols which means you didn't bring down their idols you just kept preaching to them in the midst of it this is what i love about todd is man he goes after every sacred cow tears down every idol do you know that before you can build and plant according to jeremiah you have to tear down and root out man we are in a season of tearing down and rooting out religion and synagogue thinking so we can be the house of the lord didn't care about the numbers jesus gave his whole life to 12. the 5 000 they were needy they needed food but to the 12 he came to me he said come to me let's go up the mountain together he said so because while the rest of them went astray because you tended to me in my sanctuary and you kept charge of my sanctuary when they went astray they shall come near me and they shall minister to me and they shall stand before me to offer me the fat in the blood says the lord and they shall enter into my sanctuary and they shall come near my table and they shall minister to me and they shall keep my charge you see would you be satisfied if only eight came but god was there would you be satisfied if the lord said listen you're never gonna go and fill a stadium in a nation but i'm going to be with you at your cubicle because i desire that you ministered in me what would it be like to be a man or a woman while crowds are filling and filling and filling listen you can be charismatic and get crowds you can have a good personality and get crowds but there's a heart that god is raising in this hour that's saying there's nothing that i desire more than to be in the chamber alone with god ministering to his heart and if no one comes if no one's there but lord i'm tending to you and you are satisfied this is the joy of my life sons of zadok rise up and they shall teach verse 23 they shall teach my people this is how you know todd does this they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the unholy and they shall cause them to discern between the unclean and the people can just you know like for us to just gather people and it just be about the people there's no difference in a country club but when we gather around the presence of jesus man miracles signs and wonders are gonna break out and it's gonna be like zechariah 8 where they're going to come to us and they're going to grab the robe of just one and say we heard god was here and they're going to come in on stretchers and they're going to come in and they're going to bring their dead because god is here who cares who showed up god's here i said god is here if we had a thousand or three people jesus and having a church it's not jesus and having a following on youtube and instagram and facebook it's not it's not jesus and plus money it's not jesus and and prosperity and and things to fill my life it's just jesus i'm sorry i gotta read this one last thing i promise i promise listen to this jeremiah 29 13 and you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart i will be found by you says the lord listen to this do you know that the original when it says when you seek me you will find me that word me is not in the original so here's what it says when you seek me without the holy spirit you can't even say jesus is lord do you realize without the holy spirit you can't pray you can't be a christian you can't do anything without him it's time you give up and you just say jesus you are enough and i feel like man he's gonna baptize us with fresh desire he's gonna baptize us with a fresh spirit of burning to those that would commit corporately this isn't an individual altar call this is a corporate call of saying i want to build a house for him and if you are a part of lifestyle christianity church and you are committing to building a house for the lord i want you to come up and you're saying this is not about me we're just going to worship together i don't know what we're gonna do just we're just gonna worship together if this is your home and you are standing with todd and jackie and you are saying we as a house are gonna build a place only for the lord that this is not about us this is first about tending to you and if we can learn how to get
