Will it run after 50 years 1946 International truck 

day we have this 1946 kb2 International she's been sitting for at least 50 years in a backyard and well she'd been sitting underneath the trees she's got a little bit of rust in the doors but we're gonna get her running it looks like she had a you know fender bender here back in the day I'm pretty sure that's the outline of a bumper there so someone hit it pretty dadgum hard this side ain't bad this Fender over here is almost perfect except for a tree grew up here and pushed the defender in and down there I'm not really sure what happened to all that no bed on it it used to be a flatbed I'm gonna say it was a pickup and someone threw this on there this is just kind of sitting there but they did take the time to you know cut that where it fit the frame underneath the hood she's got a good old inline six and as you can see she's kind of got the rat Nest package going on but not real bad we'll just call this the nature no it was a rat nest because these rats bring this stuff in let's call this the nature package she's not supposed to be locked up we're gonna try not to oh there we go [Music] let's try to show you guys that without murdering huh she's probably got some rust on the in the cylinders that's catching the Rings at least the spark plugs ain't rusted off in there it don't look like I guess we're gonna go ahead and pressure wash everything off real good take the intake off of it and exhaust manifold probably go ahead yank that head off of there she shouldn't take too much to get run and she's only been setting for 50 years so it ain't a real big deal we are missing the distributor cap and some other stuff foreign [Music] [Music] off the trailer and then Wheels on the back now basically we don't have a set that'll fit the front because every set we got is hidden this little tie rod end down here steering linkage we're going to go ahead and pull the head it's worse than I would I thought it was after we pressure washed her off you can see that uh the spark plugs are rusted off in there that one's the same way these two we could get out but the back ones here gone and this one's completely gone too the good thing is the motor does roll really easy you can hear a little bit of grinding in there that's probably the clutch something's probably in the bell housing but we can get a pretty much a full turn out of it so this should be a easy one to get going well she's a little sticky there but yeah she rolls foreign s are bad about breaking off these little breathers that one broke off it was rusted off and this one broke off because well it was rusted off too oh you gotta be careful when you do this lots of hidden new valves whoo there we go she's a little rough no rust though really in the cylinder walls but you can see down in them valves ain't too party but it's all fixable stuff we'll clean her up real good we'll have a roaring to life in no time but this is what all that crunching was when we were turning it over it was the valves opening and closing and all of this stuff crushing around in there we'll shop back all that out of there little bit of surface rust on the cylinders and there's a bunch of dead spiders back there we'll end up having to pull this intake off just to make sure there's nothing down in the valves because rats like to crawl up the exhaust and pack the exhaust valves full and it makes it where they won't run [Music] foreign Blaster soak into them Rings we heated them a little bit to get to soak it down in there a little and give her about an hour or so to soak and see what them valves do hopefully it'll return down I doubt it but I have to give her a couple taps with the old Hammer here oh they all seem to be doing fairly good foreign oh yeah opening and closing turns a heck of a lot easier than what it did when I first got it that valve is going to stick again yep it's getting better though foreign they shouldn't too be open at once yeah I knew you got stuck foreign [Applause] yeah I say that starter works pretty dead gum good make sure we don't lose that down in there well now the only one thing to do is that one valve still sticking and that back one seems to be too we'll make sure real quick coming up there [Music] one more time throw that head on there and we'll start working on that old distribution the valve seem to be validating and doing all that they're supposed to we got that head cleaned up we're gonna give her one last bath in the PB Blaster just for fun here and we open a new can so why not use a little bit of it that should do her no there I might have blocked you guys view there sorry about that and you want to always clean your bolts a little just a make sure the threads you can see where they've almost rusted through there should just throw it in there I think I launder it pretty good oh that don't sound pretty there we go there's one down that should be all we have to get what's that there it's not too bad yeah I probably couldn't see any of that see you the way and huh I managed to get one with a wire too long instead of Too Short like we did the last time so we got all the plug wires hooked up and if we're lucky she should fire right off foreign fluid to see just see if she's gonna hit and run then we'll switch her over to gas but this will probably give us the best chance of her starting about fell and not took me out we're not getting sparked something fried there for a minute that does not smell healthy that water's still hooked up that's hooked in there [Music] huh something ain't right there we go [Music] [Music] so now she should run the problem we were having is we had a bad condenser or it wasn't getting ground good enough I had it in there with the old screw and I'm not sure if it was long enough long story short I changed it so hopefully all we got to do is crank her over and she'll start up I did I don't think that condenser was any good so that was probably our main problem let's see what we get here nothing because the starter ain't engaging oh man come on [Music] foreign [Music] we're gonna get a running off gas I already went ahead changed the oil didn't look too bad it was a little thick that's our gas will fuel system for now and we're gonna try to drive her we got it all hooked up we got the throttle linkage you know zip tied together professionally done it'll be fine and hopefully she'll move underneath her own power I don't think the clutch is stuck I mean no one's pressed the clutch in in 50 years but the kill switch there just in case she tries to run away from us and we're
