Employers ask Why Should We Hire You question  to find out what exactly they can gain by hiring   you over other candidates. I know this  question is vague and it's challenging   to explain why you are the best person  for a job in a humble and positive way,   but at the same time this question is your  BEST chance to showcase your being an asset   to the company and to the position. question.  In this video I'll show you how to structure  your ideal response in a few easy steps and stick   with me till the end where i also share brand new  sample answers which will be helpful to you while   coming up with your own response why should we  hire you can also be asked with slight variations   such as why are you the best candidate for the  job why do you think you are the right fit for the   position what would you bring to this role what  places you above other candidates who applied for   the job or what makes you different from the rest  etc etc interviewers and recruiters usually know   what would the best candidate for the position be  because they know what the current company needs   and requirements are they expect your response  to match with these requirements your answer is   a perfect opportunity for you to really position  yourself as an ideal candidate but how to make   sure your response is completely honest but at the  same time matching with the company's expectations   these five steps are a must while preparing  that authentic response which will increase   your chances of getting hired step 1 study  the job description and research the company   a well-written job description gives out all  the key requirements and those elements which   the employer is looking for in an ideal candidate  you need to understand which of those requirements   also belong to your professional profile make  sure you also know what the company's mission   and goals are to visualize if there is any fit  with your own professional goals and expectations   step 2 make a list of your key skills for the role  highlight at least three skills which you possess   and which directly correspond with  the requirements that the company is   looking for then prepare a brief explanation and  examples to back up these skills and achievements   your examples will translate into why you are  an excellent fit remember to keep these examples   short and concise your response should be taking  you about a minute of your time or less step 3   make your answer specific as i said  before don't respond with a generic answer   don't give answers which could be replicated by  any candidate at any company saying something like   i have the right qualifications and experience  is not really going to impress the hiring manager   your answer should contain those specific skills  and experience examples that clearly benefit this   particular company you are interviewing for step  4 show enthusiasm this is extremely important your   response can be monotone you really need to  come across enthusiastic and passionate while   delivering your answer believe me there are  always going to be candidates which are more   skilled and more experienced than you that's why  it's your enthusiasm and your passion which will   be placing you above all of those candidates with  better resumes so don't hold back your passion   step 5 practice your answer once you feel  good about those skills and examples you give   practice your pitch one way of practicing could  be recording your answer and listening to yourself   this will give you a clear idea of how you come  across another way of practicing could be saying   your answer out loud to someone you know that  could evaluate its impact and give you an honest   feedback and just as i promised these are three  adaptable examples which should be useful to you   while working on your own response example number  one when i read the job posting i noticed that you   specifically mentioned you are looking for someone  with project management experience as you can   check i have over 10 years of experience as a  project manager working on multiple long-term   design projects for commercial buildings with at  least six-figure budgets what sets me apart from   other candidates and will make me a valuable  addition to your team is my ability to combine   those project management skills with my people  skills i am in constant contact with a team of   architects i also coordinate communication with  clients ensuring that everyone is on the same page   in terms of timeline and expectations my passion  for the industry and for project management makes   me deliver 100 every day example number two i  think that my ability to manage online content   strategy for websites and for social media  makes me a good match for this position i know   you are looking to boost your online and social  media presence to help you stand out from the   competition when researching your social media  presence i have noticed that the content is of   great quality and that you have a big following  but your posting schedule is not consistent and   also the engagement rate is quite low during my  experience as a social media executive i managed   six social media channels i was able to increase  buyer activity by 35 percent by being consistent   and by creating targeted social media campaigns  with the visuals and content up to high standards   i plan on bringing the same passion and even more  dedication to your company example number three   you mentioned that leadership skills are important  for this role in my 15 years of experience as a   sales manager i have effectively managed teams  some of over 15 people i developed motivational   skills that earned my department the department  of the year award three years in a row at my last   job for consistently meeting and exceeding  sales goals to lead effectively i frequently   communicate with my team to measure our progress  and to ensure that we're meeting targets however   my sales team defines their daily schedule and  their responsibilities without being micromanaged   i usually make
