This is why piglins hate the wither in Minecraft. Imagine you were one of the piglins. You were originally just an innocent little
pig; out on the open field just minding your business, then suddenly these people grab
you on a leash and take you through this weird-looking portal. You enter this strange dimension with lava
and netherrack everywhere. It’s also very hot here. You’re taken to this tiny pig pen in a bastion. Eventually, the hellish landscape of the nether
and something else turns you, the pig, and your friends into piglins. You are given weapons to fight. But wait, what just happened? In this video, we will try to use evidence
and proof we can find in game to figure out the origin story of the piglin. Let’s come up with a Minecraft theory and
solve the age-old Minecraft mystery of why piglins hate the wither. Bear in mind that parts of this theory will
be partly based on RetroGamingNow Piglin theory. We’re also going to try to figure out why
piglins are afraid of soul fire and why they hate the wither and wither skeleton. Let’s uncover the secret story of the Minecraft
piglin. As you know, the nether is a hostile place. Just a quick glance of the dimension is already
enough proof. Could life develop here by itself? My guess would be probably not. Life could possibly adapt to the Nether’s
hot environment, but I don’t think life could’ve started in the nether by itself. There are ruined portals in both the Nether
and Overworld, proving that people from long ago had visited the nether before. If you look at all nether mobs in Minecraft,
most look somewhat similar to overworld mobs. For example, the wither skeletons look like
skeletons, the magma cubes look like slimes, and the piglins and hoglins look like different
pig variants. This could imply that all nether mobs were
once brought over from the overworld. Plants might have been brought over too, but
only fungi were able to survive. And due to the extreme conditions, all organisms
in the nether evolved into weird mutations to adapt. Creatures evolve in the real world to adapt
to the conditions of a new environment. It's a more interesting case for the Minecraft
pig though, remember when you the pig were brought from the overworld into the nether? Well there are two variants of the pig, the
hoglin and the piglin. Here, evolution can explain why hoglins are
much bulkier than pigs. Since the nether is so harsh, only the toughest
survive. Survival of the fittest. This means that the bigger, stronger pigs
were able to survive and live longer. The stronger hoglins had better odds to pass
down their genes. The pigs had to evolve to be bigger and bulkier. The hoglins settled in the crimson forests
where there was more food. It’s a whole different story for the piglin
though. I mean look at them, they walk only on two
feet, they seem at least a little intelligent, and they wear clothing! How could these piglins evolve from the pig? I don’t think evolution can explain this
one. A thing to note about pigs is that when lightning
strikes them, they turn into zombie pigmen. Since the nether is very hot, you might think
that this turns pigs into piglins. But that doesn’t explain why there are both
piglins and hoglins. Let’s go back to you, the pig, you ignorantly
follow the guard who is holding a carrot. He takes you to this ginormous dark looking
structure. You can see where the valuables are stored. They take you, the pig, into the bastion,
and we will find out why soon enough. Anyways, it is here where you’re put into
a pen or stable. Pigs were almost certainly brought to the
bastion. We know this happened since there are things
called “hoglin stables” that can be found in the bastions remnant. The ancient builders, the people who built
the bastion, brang the pigs here for a specific purpose. They saw what happened when a pig was struck
by lightning. It turned into a humanoid pig, even though
it was a zombie. What if they somehow could mimic lightning
in the nether, could they create piglins that were not zombified? They would be very useful creatures if so. They would need to channel high-focused energy
in the pigs to turn them into piglins that weren’t zombified. This replicates being struck by a lightning
bolt. Okay, but if these people intentionally created
piglins, why would they summon them? Here is my theory: Minecraft pigs were brought
over into bastions from the overworld. Some pigs escaped and went rogue, they eventually
became the hoglins. The pigs in the bastions were turned into
piglins and the rest evolved into hoglins. The ancient builders saw what happened when
lightning struck a pig, so they channeled an immense amount of energy at the pigs in
the nether. They created piglins to serve as an army to
help defeat their biggest enemy. The piglins were created to help defend the
Nether Bastion from the evil destructor, the wither. Here is the proof: this whole entire place
is called a bastion. If you don’t know, a bastion is basically
another word for a fortification, a fortress. These bastions were probably used for other
purposes as well but their primary purpose was to be a fortification. Both the nether bastion and the nether fortress
are words that imply that these structures were constructed to defend and fight back
against something. And that something is the Wither. These ancient builders probably had created
these fortifications to defend against the wither. They had accidentally created the wither in
their quests for immortality. The wither was destroying and killing everything,
destroying the ancient builders’ civilization. The wither being the enemy here makes sense. The strongest proof of this theory is that
piglins will attack the wither and wither skeleton. The piglins were created to fight the wither. This explains why the piglins carry weapons. The ancient builders were barely holding on,
the piglins were their last hope. The fortifications of the bastion kept the
wither at bay… until now! Imagine you are the piglin again, after becoming
a piglin, you and your friends are given weapons to fight with. The ancient builders were turning all of their
pigs into warriors for this final stand against the wither. Your mission as a piglin is simple: you need
to defend the basion from the Wither and the wither skeletons. The general of the piglin army, the piglin
brute, strategizes a plan of attack; he leads the charge. The wither spawns four wither skeletons around
himself whenever the wither gets to half health. You, the piglin, and your fellow pigs defend
the bastion with your crossbows. You prevent the wither from ramming into the
walls. You guys slowly chip away at the Wither’s
health. Wither skeletons try to breach in to flank
you piglins. Luckily, the piglins with gold swords quickly
deal with them. The general piglin brute organizes a plan. The piglins with swords attack near the frontlines,
while you and the other piglins with crossbows stay farther away as archers. The glaring issue though is that the piglin’s
health is pathetic compared to the wither and many are slain on the battlefield. You watch as so many piglins are slaughtered. You and your fellow pigs fought hard but were
no match for the wither. The wither eventually broke through and destroyed
everything. Breaking down and decaying all of the walls. Many precious things were destroyed. The bastion was soon abandoned by the ancient
builders and the piglins now mindlessly live in the remnants of this once great bastion. Since the ancient builders were defeated in
the nether, they decided to leave the nether for good and they deactivated all of the nether
portals. They fled from the tyrannical Wither. The reason it’s called a ruined bastion
and not just a bastion is unfortunately because the wither eventually won the battle; the
wither broke through the defenses and tore up and destroyed the place. Many piglins survived though, most of them
still hang around in the bastion since it's the only home they know. Other piglins decided to follow the hoglins
to the crimson forests. The next mystery is why piglins are afraid
of soul fire. Remember the battle between the ancient builders
and piglins versus the wither? The wither was constructed through the use
of many souls. It requires soul sand to make it, meaning
that souls power the wither. Souls are believed to be cyan and that explains
the soul torch and soul lantern. Further proof is that the nether star dropped
by the wither creates the beacon, which is also cyan. When a piglin feels that souls are around
him, it reminds the piglin of the wither. They move away from it since soul things make
them feel like the wither is nearby again. It reminds them of the lost battle long ago. The piglins now just wander around the nether
aimlessly. You might be wondering what happened to the
wither since that was one of the downfalls of the ancient builder’s civilization. What probably happened was that the Wither
was eventually killed by the piglins. It would make sense that the wither would
slowly lose its health from the piglins, even if it took a very long time. The wither would eventually die long after
the ancient builders were gone. And what about the nether star? What happened to it? Ironically, what might have happened was that
it despawned since the piglins didn't think it was important. The piglins didn’t have a use for the nether
star. This is why piglins hate the wither in Minecraft. Piglins were pigs brought into the nether
and turned into piglins. Their purpose was to defend the bastion. They were given weapons to defend it. It was the players and piglins versus the
wither. They will still attack the wither and wither
skeletons if they have the chance too. You might be wondering now: why do they love
gold so much? They won’t even attack you when you wear
gold armor. And why do they now attack the player if they
supposedly fought together side by side? Those mysteries though will have to be solved
in some future video so subscribe if you enjoyed it, like the video, and thanks for watching!
