Why am I not happy with Singapore Airlines?

[Music] good day one more fly Squad my name is Jaden welcome back to my channel we're at Singapore changy Terminal 3 tonight we're going to fly Singapore Airlines Dreamliner 7 8710 overnight to aday south Australia now without further Ado let's head inside and check in cuz it's so hot and humid in here any day SE just a heads up as the title of the video suggests my experience tonight with Singapore lines wasn't that great so if it comes across that I'm whining a little bit too much in this video I do apologize in advance I'll try my best to convey my reasons of disappointment as objectively as possible I have styland gold status or Turkish Elite so that gave me premium economy checkin with Singapore Airlines after that 6'4 and I said goodbye to our friends 6' fours flying non-stop to Sydney and flying to Adelaide we just passed immigration despite the crowd it was fast and easy the air side of terminal 3 is hustling and bustling in the coming hours you've got many depes for Australia and Europe at the Hub of Singapore Airlines Singapore Changi Airport when you've got Stylin gold you don't get access to the silver Cris Lounge which is their business class Lounge instead they've got a dedicated gold Lounge it's called the Chris fly gold Lounge it's a rather significant downgrade from their usual business class Lounge in their overseas lounges including in Hong Kong London and Sydney they don't separate the gold and business class lounges and I find this to be a little bit absurd because you've got three sty lines like United Delta and also other better ones like British Airways quantis Cafe Malaysia Airlines Air Canada andir New Zealand I could go on and on and frankly just any other major International Airlines they've got better lounges for their gold members and their partner Airlines Gold members especially at their Hub airports much much better than this Chris fly gold Lounge now there's nothing really wrong with this Lounge you've got shower rooms a good selection of spirits and great selection of Singaporean premium tea but there's definitely not any wild factors it's just that I expect a lot more from a five-star Airline and according to Sky tracks the best airline in the world in 2023 here's the shower room by the way this one is wheelchair and disabled friendly I'm not too sure if I can trust the buttons for the door it doesn't look too reassuring by the way today I couldn't take K 6'4 because he's not flying on the same flight as me if this was back in 2021 this wouldn't be a problem they changed the rules 2 years ago in the past as long as 6'4 is flying sty Alles I could take him in it doesn't have to be the same airline or destination if you take a look at one world or Sky Team the rule is still the same you can take in a guess as long as they're flying within the same Alliance and to be very honest I didn't know about the rule change 2 years ago so I thought I could take in 6'4 hence I was a bit disappointed but really I've got no one to blame here it's not Singapore alliance's fault I didn't stay too long in the lounge because I'm not the kind of person who would go into the lounge by myself sip champagne take my time while have my friend or guest wait outside you can certainly trust me in that good [Music] evening is it a full B today [Music] thank you so my flight to adelay is leaving an hour before his flight to Sydney he's flying on the E R8 so here comes even more frustration and I promise everything after boarding will be great so our flight to adelay had been delayed due to the late arrival of the aircraft coming in from taipe however we were only notified this after everybody had gotten into the The Waiting Zone the airline knew this way earlier before us but they only decided to tell us after everybody had been locked inside the waiting Zone without access to toilet eventually we were stuck here for just a bit over an hour in this crowded space and people sitting on the floor a true five-star Airline would not do this to their customers my last part of frustration was boarding this aircraft they just called out priority boarding but there was no one checking boarding passes at all so you've got everyone on board from tail to front boarding at the same time so that's it for the frustration let's get positive from here on earphones are available for grab at the boarding door [Music] hello thank you good evening welcome on board Singapore Air Lines 7871 here's economy in a standard 333 configuration our aircraft today is a 6-year-old Singapore Airlines thank you no Boeing 78 710 nine Victor Sierra Charlie golf all Singapore line 787 are fitted in a origional configuration SE last row this lovely cabin crew is taking me to my seat 73a the very last row she even offered me to fill up my water bottle when I was unpacking my carry-on and she saw my bottle it really goes to show that the cabin crew is really caring and attentive and it really makes me feel less frustrated about the delay and lounge access situation the cabin crew Mak makes a huge difference to my experience so now quickly I'll go through the seat features you've got a large touchscreen TV USB port headphone jack cabin crew core button and also reading light button you can store tiny personal items underneath the TV you've also got a cup holder the tray table can be folded in half and moved back and forth it also features a mirror which is a very Singapore lines thing however mine's stuck now for the seat pocket you've got four Pockets so you can store and sort out your personal items Li room is pretty good for this Redeye flight to adday underneath you will find a universal power socket you'll need to share that with your neighbor the seat can be reclined even at the last row there's no restriction the headrest is comfortable it can be adjusted however it's a little bit narrow for my head a quick lavatory tour before departure you've got amenities like toothbrush and toothpaste a bottle of hand lotion on the door you've got two coot Hooks and a bag of fragrance now I don't normally do my lavatory tour until midf flight but today I've got an elderly person sitting next to me I wouldn't want to wake her up or make her stand up for me to use the lavry so I decided to use it now ready for you on this red eyee flight is a very soft pillow and also a blanket they're both really good in quality especially for economy perhaps the only complaint I would need to make on board is that there's no person air vent and the cabin is way too hot at the moment Singapore Airlines has an outstanding inlight Entertainment System probably one of the best you've got a great variety of TV shows and movies to choose from if you are Chris fly frequent flyer you get a limited Wi-Fi access on this flight your Chris flight account must be linked to your boarding pass meaning that if you're a partner align frequent flyer you can't use the Wi-Fi there are four live TV channels including a sport Channel and BBC their selection of music is also one of the best I've seen in the skies plenty to choose the inflight map is interactive you can zoom in and zoom out to wherever you want there are no external cameras on board like most other 787 if not [Music] all [Music] hours whenever you are SE uh we like to apologize for this delay this time this is due to the late arrival of the aircraft arriving from do ourne so for now please back and the and we can you just before we com thank you [Music] ladies and gentlemen the cabin light we now be we didn't thinket [Music] up recently Singapore Airlines has changed their service structure on their red eye flights to Australia in the past many years there was no dinner service they just used to give out water to everybody like they're doing now and then there would be no food until breakfast service before landing to my surprise and it is a good news that they now serve a small snack after takeoff I have pre-ordered a vegetarian Oriental meal for snack I received a wrap if you did not pre-order a meal your choice tonight would be a four cheese pizza or a mozzarella and mushroom pizza I'm not too sure what's in my wrap so let's take a bite and check it out it's actually a bit like Mexican burrito it's got rice corn and lettuce so let's call this a vegetarian Mexican meal it's a little bit spicy but the flavor was amazing it exploded in my mouth the service tonight started from the back so back row passengers get their first choice of pizza and drink of choice tonight I went for Bailey on ice what I do like about Singapore Air Lines is that even in economy your bar option is amazing you've got a great selection of cocktails mocktails and Spirits one of their signature drinks in economy will have to be Singapore's Ling the cabin crew have now come back to collect rubbish and also they're offering a second round of beverages we're now just over an hour into our flight we'll be landing within 5 hours there's also going to be breakfast before landing so I'll quickly take an out lights on breakfast time the crew are now serving special meals first for cultural reasons Singapore lands flies to Australia and of course India have a lot of special meal request popular options are the Indian meals vegan meals and gluten-free meals so it does take a while for the cab and crew to serve the special meals if you didn't order one your option today chicken noodle or scrambled eggs with ve sausage for your information I took this flight in late November and they gave you two options in December they're giving you three options option number one egg and ve sausage again option number two nasila Mac option number three is rice porridge the last option is vegan and vegetarian for my vegetarian Oriental meal today I received two shumai and carrot cakes for starter I got a fresh bowl of fruit a carton of V soy delicious Hong Kong soy milk a bottle of Malaysian water and also bread and margarine I've never had anything like this before carrot cake that looks like mince pork another spicy meal and it was brilliant it was so good I drink this all the time when I'm in Hong Kong and it's so funny that they serve you for to Soy on Singapore Airlines so far the flight's been amazing the crew have been amazing the seat was comfortable I had a really good sleep and breakfast was amazing soir traffic in we are esting to land at uh 8:55 in the morning going be on schedule at 5 that's 2 and half hours time difference between and time check now in and today it's uh between sry 8:2 in morning weather in currently a f morning with temperature of 7° 63 we've started our descent into Adela and I'll quickly conclude this TR Report with Singapore lines right here right now our journey today started at Changi Terminal 3 at the boarding gate we were told that the flight had been delayed due to late arrival they could have 100% told us that earlier so we could stay in the lounge longer or we could roam around the terminal once on board the experience got better the cabin crew on this flight were absolutely amazing they are why Singapore lines is so good their grooming standards attention to detail and service were Immaculate the new a350 seat is quite comfortable although there was no double seat back padding the SE seat itself is quite comfortable the seat back wasn't rock hard the food they served on this flight was delicious I was also really pleased that they brought back the snack service after takeoff so overall today airport experience
