throughout avatar The Last Airbender in the legend of Kora we've met a lot of different avatars of course while there have been dozens of them we only have real knowledge with just a few of these avatars but that doesn't mean that we still can't rank them from weakest to strongest so who's the most powerful incarnation of the Avatar what are they that's what we're going to find out what's up enjoy the video hit that like button you want to or hit the Subscribe button while you're at it Avatar setsu is a kind of unique case when it comes to avatars because he's kind of the only Avatar who just chose not to be the Avatar instead he took a lowlevel position within the Fire Nation eventually made his way up to the chief advisor to the fire lord so focusing all his time and effort in trying to help the Fire Nation and the Fire Nation only so kind of neglecting the other three nations here now you can't entirely knock setsu the Fire Nation was in a state of complete upheaval and he was just trying to help his people and do what he thought was best while he's definitely unique among all the avatars don't really think you can make any kind of argument to say he's one of the most powerful of the avatars as the first avatar Juan was the first person who've ever seen be able to wield all the four elements at once pretty cool what definitely wasn't cool though was that one time when Juan accidentally freed vatu the literal Spirit of darkness and chaos and accidentally Unleashed evil and Chaos all over the world and since then Juan has team up with rava the spirit of life and peace to try and take down vatu and by doing that he kickstarted the whole Avatar process but while Wan is extremely powerful had an incredibly strong connection with rava it's actually a disadvantage for him that he is the first avatar see because of that he can't consult with other previous avatars or look back at past Avatar lives something that every other Avatar after him was able to do it also means that Juan doesn't have access to a lot of the bending forms that were created hundreds of years after his death like metal bending or lightning bending Avatar krik is kind of known as one of the worst incarnations of the avatar a lot of people believed that he actually neglected his duties as the Avatar however that doesn't mean that he's not powerful he is he's one of the strongest Benders of all time krik was born during a time of relative peace and so as the Avatar he spent a lot of his time traveling throughout the four kingdoms and challenging all the strongest Benders in each Nation like he would challenge the best earthbenders to Boulder lifting competitions or the best firebenders to agne kaai krik is also the first avatar to treat all four elements as one and the same meaning that he was able to merge all four elements together during a fight however I think it's important to say that while a lot of people just saw Kirk goofing off and challenging other Benders that was just in the physical world Avatar kurik actually had to spend a a lot of his time dealing with problems in the spirit world like dark Spirits that's ultimately what led to his death Avatar Roku was the first avatar right before Ang and as the Avatar well Roku is quite impressive I mean you can't Overlook the fact that he could lava Bend with ease he could bring down a whole temple with just a flick of his wrist Roku was even strong enough to legit tame a dragon definitely earned the title of the Avatar Al Roku wasn't necessarily perfect for instance he struggled to master his opposite water bending when other avatars didn't struggle at all to master their natural bending opposite so kind of suggest that Roku isn't a complete bending natural but the biggest knock against him was he didn't put down firel lord soan when he had the chance the fire lord kicked off the 100-year war and led to the slaughter of all the air Nomads so kind of like one of the biggest failures of any Avatar well ever Avatar Yang chin was the Avatar during a time of peace and so while she wasn't one of the most powerful avatars she was one of the most compassionate and renowned for her wisdom in fact Yang chin was so renowned and so loved by people from every nation that she actually became kind of like a god to some of them they would even pray to her for protection and good luck her fight against General Old Iron was legendary she even managed to create a Four Element attack just like what Ang did against farel Lord oai but while she did manage to beat old iron she couldn't completely defeat him and Yang had to do that later on of course Yang chin wasn't perfect she consistently chose the physical world over the spirit world in seted with humans over Spirits this ended up angering a bunch of the spirits understandably this would then go on to make for a lot of trouble for future avatars something that really bothered Yang chin as she watched it happen Ang was powerful enough to take down the Fire Nation when he was just 12 very impressive but Koshi well she was powerful enough to break apart a peninsula create a whole separate Island by lava bending and air bending at the same time so safe to say Avatar Koshi was a bending natural she mastered all the four elements at a pretty young age just like Ang the while Ang struggled with his natural oppos of Earth Koshi actually embraced air bending even as an earthbender and used fans in her fights to make air bending even more powerful however there is a knock against her you can definitely argue that Koshi kind of lacks the level of precision and control that you need as the Avatar but either way she lived to be over 200 years old and is easily one of the most powerful avatars that we've ever seen now Ang facing off against a war lasting over a hundred years is a lot to ask of someone but Kora well she had to face off against a guy who could take away people's bending abilities or another guy who essentially became a dark Avatar and her equal and opposite so a lot of stuff that no Avatar before her had ever had to face Kora is straight up a bending prodigy the only element that she struggled with was air bending once she figured it out well she was quickly beating airbending Masters in fact for a lot of the series Kora is just an absolute physical force in any fight she usually manages to end fights fairly quickly because of that and as the series went along we saw Kora tap into her spiritual side as well embracing the Avatar state being able to restore bending powers and purify dark Spirits even manipulate Cosmic and Universal energy if you've ever watched Avatar well then you know that Ang belongs at the top of this list but if you need me to explain it to you well here we go Ang is the youngest airbending Master we've ever seen then he just completely one UPS his own feet he mastered water bending Earth bending and fire bending all in one year in order to fight against fire lord oai then on top of that he actually mastered spe bending and used all this to beat the fire lord under San's Comet let me repeat that Ang as a 12-year-old managed to master all the elements in just a year and learned how the energy Bend all in order to successfully defeat the most powerful fire bender ever while oai was seriously enhanced under the comet he is without a doubt
