hmm [Music] all right well I've been down so long this week we show you something a little different take you behind the scenes into our everyday life beyond the camera to show you the more real side of traveling Australia's Outback with a young family sometimes it's not all fun and games so sit back relax as we take you along with us for two days behind the scenes which we would normally not film I'm running so long that my feet don't work no more [Applause] [Music] I've been running so long let my feet don't work no more oh no it ain't easy [Music] welcome to another episode guys in last week's episode we were actually at the top of Mount Fink on the Googs track yeah we went on the wrong Mountain but anyway yeah anyway this episode we actually start we're still on the goods track we're on this Lake that um a Salt Lake that's dry currently uh we've got a finished goods track visit a ghost town and do a few other little things uh Back Country Roads um just see what happens yeah we're running out of food running out of water so um it's gonna be fun anyway let's go let's do it last week on the gorks track we were actually involved in an SES rescue and finish the app on top of Mount Fink good track is well underrated and we still had roughly 50k's left to get to any sort of gravel road so the Northern end of this track is a lot tighter so it's more chopped up Jacob yeah the same thing though about everyone seems to be getting stuck and like creating those wombat holes I guess you call them so Sue's fingers crossed we haven't got stuck yet but crawls up it slowly like there's no way we can just feed it on these sand dunes lucky the GoPro has stability delicious walks up big dogs I love this truck eh I absolutely love it it's killing it [Music] said soon gave way to rock and gravel the worst corrugations we have ever experienced Googs is an unmaintained track so there isn't any graders out here but the corrugations were shortly zero kilometer Mark Gorge track finished baby yes we're in one piece these 48 hours we had planned travel days in between tracks we would normally not film these days as they can be pretty full on but being back out on the gravel road Lennox aired us up to 50 psi and we're off to our next spot so I just asked anybody wanted for lunch and he said um chicken nuggets from macca's well mate there's definitely not a macca's out here nope I've been waiting to see one of these out here have a go at him this is a big dog too I'm not gonna hurt you not at all but you're a beauty now you can't even really see these on the road but um luckily we've seen this guy we're gonna get him off so he doesn't get squashed because there's a few people coming up this road you gonna go fella or what you don't care our next stop for the day is an abandoned gold mining town takola the town was named after the Melbourne Cup winner of 1893 the year that gold was found here when the gold dried up the town was abandoned but some of the structures here still looked like they were being looked after [Music] okay oh well we missed the reopening in 2014. I've been good for a beer all right we left all uh ghost town ghost town behind us and um excuse the no shirt but What's Happening Here you too hey what is happening here what are they doing what are you two doing I reckon they're just about to cuddle up ah in the middle of the road and have some ice cream and watch Netflix all right again oh yeah look it's climbing over it yes anyway gotta keep going Friday so we ended up stopping at a rest area which is literally I don't know if you can see just [Music] um stuff and gravel Gravel Pit it's good it's free though so I can't complain it's got toilets and we went to the pub this afternoon the boys have just been testing yes testing anyway we had a drink to celebrate doing the goose Shack and then all they wanted to do this afternoon was watch their iPad so um we just let them yeah we just let him and then we actually had dinner by ourselves which never happens no so we didn't tell them dinner was ready we quickly had dinner ourselves and um yeah yes but this uh as we said in like the intro it's about all the stuff that you probably don't normally see people from YouTube putting up we're going to show you Outback Edition so we're yeah dirt road after dirt road yeah yeah it's not always glamorous well actually I think this is Buddy grandma Yeah the sun's going down right in front of us there without dirty fights it's absolutely beautiful and how's this rest area they actually dropped firewood over there for you to have a fire as well so the Outback sort of rest stops know how to do it yeah but tomorrow um we've got a bit of Maintenance to do in the morning which will run you guys through um whenever we get up and um yeah moving on to I think we'll go to roxby Downs tomorrow yep a few jobs in the morning then on we go anyway we're gonna go to bed it's been a long day in the car and the goose truck sort of did take it out of us yeah and as you can tell by the Finney behind us not shut up it doesn't stop no so from here we actually we're having a shower every second night because the no we've only got 200 liters on board and I reckon we're down to our oh probably 50 liters now we've still got tonight and tomorrow to get through we probably could have one you try and line it up so it works but this is not shower night no but we'll show you all tomorrow but the boys get a little wet wipe and uh into bed all right good night guys good morning so it's a bit chilly this morning the boys they're in bed so we're taking the opportunity to start our jobs now but um Mick is doing the job and I thought we'd run you through what we actually do what's your job morning well we've been pretty we've been neglecting poor Susie for a while but yeah we haven't yeah no but checking stuff a lot I don't know all the tires and all that we'll start the tires normally we got the little indicators but normally I'd go around do them like we do on the van and then I'm just I'm looking at it we had a um charge equalizer fail on us the other week um so we had to put a new one in in Adelaide and um it's got all these fuses and all that and I had to do a bush fix and make it make it a little midi fuse block sort of thing up so just checking that that's all going well I made it out of a plastic ruler um that's under all that tape so I've got to do that but um everything seems to be going all right there so far but also I'm gonna get under and have a look at the bash plates and um because we got them from Brisbane Isuzu the part section and we got them shipped down to Melbourne and I put them on so I was going to go through and check all the balls but they were awesome in ghost track because just protected everything you get one um for the air con it covers the aircon then you get one for the radiator and then that connect um sorry it doesn't connect and then you've got a sump guard to protect your sump so they're all like the trucks private parts that you don't want to get ripped up so that was a must yeah that was a must yeah and we'll put all the information in the description too because I think that's a bit important do you wanna yeah I can show you so that's the stamp guard and then up there is the radiator and I'll show you on the front is the aircon but while I'm under here I'm gonna grease everything all the nipples on the suspension just everything they said nipples and millennia's laughing well it's pretty funny beautiful she's naughty Elena yeah so I've crawl under here before I'm just looking at nuts and bolts and what I'm looking for with the nuts and bolts if there's any clear sections because that means something's rattling and then I do have I do have a repair job to the um let's see the solar panel on the rooftop tent the corrugations it's when I installed it I put secure Flex on one side of the um the panel and not on the other and the side that doesn't have the glue the screws of rattled loose lucky he's a retired chippy man because I wouldn't want him building my house in half a job oh yeah anyway and then we've got to refuel this Beast up yeah yeah maybe I can I can probably have to help with Jerry canes and stuff gonna come never won't do that now eh yeah okay anyway they're the jobs before everyone sort of wakes up and then when everyone wakes up let's all go go oh speaking of we have the ability to carry 300 liters of fuel on the truck so we try and fill up where it's cheap to save ourselves a little bit of money [Music] all right three times I'm gonna lose and then we'll get back into the jobs had a good bit of evil hey you love them don't you uh oh he's traveling everyone's starting to surface morning man me good morning eldest child all right well this is where the morning routine of breakfast and everything starts happening and looking after kids that's why I try and get up early so uh we can get ourselves done morning routine for us is probably like most little breakfast boys toast lettuce make ourselves a brew and start the pack up your bed's easy my bed is easy yeah look at that [Music] Go Big Mama can you see where every handiwork is what I wouldn't call it handy work these little bugger these little screws lazy work lazy work I know glued one I did this so when I say glued I glued up here to stop it to vibrating loose and that side's good this side not so good so to fix this it's a bit of bush mechanics this is actually like um you know the sticky stuff you get on packaging like you know that little dollop of Goo because I did forgot some silicon and all that so I'm going to put a little bit of all right a little bit of that stop me screwing from coming out how's that for a bush fixer one yeah easy it hasn't worked yet we'll see we'll see again there oh she's on the screw it's one all three screws have come out that's how bad the corrugations were on that um that track next stop for us is roxby downs and we thought we might put the GoPro to show what the suspension does on little Nuggie on the corrugations [Music] so um what just happened [Music] so we just had as our previous thing we just had our um GoPro on the van over the corrugations and that's what happened so tip to anyone wanting to film that don't do that or put it in a case luckily this is like the old GoPro not the new ones still works hello what's it working it's just a bit months ago so we're at roxby downs and it's pretty hot today and they have a water park so Nick's going to do the Wooly shop and I'm going to take the boys to the park so we're just going for our shop packed it all in the little nugget and the truck and uh boys you gotta swim yeah do you ever go swim Lennox [Music] okay right now we've got to get fuel Fuel and then a drink drink yeah Fuel and then we've got to go back repack everything in because we've just chucked it literally in the little nugget look at this and um then we got a fix the solar panel do a few other bits and pieces but I will take you with it and show us how show is the rest of the day that we probably normally wouldn't film and it's two o'clock now the day is getting on you had enough yeah I need a drink we don't drink that much we had to laugh though someone said um you only packed one bottle of rum that's the only one bottle that you could see don't worry there's more there's more oil I've got an exciting job we've got three washing machines and dryers so I'm taking full advantage that is a um a month's worth of off-grid living without a washing machine three little boys anyway so we just rocked up at the the Caravan Park here in roxby Downs and uh it's a full-on job just looking after the boys let alone doing all this isn't it Ollie but we're right that is right near the washing machine so do all this do all the maintenance to the truck we've got to move around some stuff in the truck because it's not working this fridge is getting pushed up against now inverter um so I've got to re-jig this back bit as well so I've got a bit on today and the reason why it's all go go today is because we don't really like staying at Caravan Parks so um yeah one day here we'll get everything done and then we'll be back out free camping so keeps cost down plus we like it anyway we're uh we're gonna get into it all way aren't we we're gonna get into it all no you're just gonna sit here don't talk much does he [Music] washing machine you got going on there so that's one two three four five washing machines but you're paying for it I guess yeah all right the reason why we don't film these days is because they're pretty just full-on anyway we've repacked that I think the solar panel on top of that re-jig the back there ready for more corrugations Alanya has done how many loads of washing you done I've done 10 loads of watches 10 loads of washing I'm bugging yeah we're both pretty bargain um dinner dinner is a bit uh bread egg on toast scrambled egg on toast but everyone seems to love it do you love it boys [Laughter] good yeah okay that's what I was up that's what I was waiting for so after this generally we'll run you through it because we're pretty buggered and we're gonna put the camera down but we still gotta can't play out as a packing to do don't we packing away then we're gonna take the boys we'll probably take the boys for a shower first and that's a mean feat in itself get them done do the rest of the packing and then seven or eight o'clock we'll get the computers out in the start editing and working so that's how it goes the life of elnic group yeah the life of us this is probably a bit of a shorter episode but hopefully it gives you more of an look into our lives probably when we're not on camera yeah and it's not all all fun they're all fun you still got jobs they never stop oh God you still got kids [Music] we can never get where it is anyway we'll leave you here we'll see you next week next week we're hitting the ordered out of track so stay tuned for that
