these are sad days for us as I'm sure they are for all those who learned about Dorothy Kilgallen passing last Monday Dorothy Arlene Bennett and I have been together on Sundays for the better part of 16 years kitty Carlisle and Steve Allen who've been kind enough to come and give us moral support tonight or also in a way members of the family they very often have sat on the panel with us we considered what we might do to express our sense of loss and to pay tribute to Dorothy in a special way and in the end we agreed with her good husband dick oh ma that the best tribute to Dorothy would be to do What's My Line just as it was when she was here that is what we will try to do what's my line brought to you by supple stockings the beautifully sheer stockings that look as good as they feel and now let's all play what my line now here's the what's my line panel and their moderator mr. John Daly good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to what's my line I'm sure everyone knows how we play the game so may we now have our first contestant will you enter and sign in please Norma Walker Miss or mrs. book this is what mrs. Williams Thanks what's the matter you out of cigarettes yeah hmm Evald of mine I guess not thanks Ariel tasting pretty dull not these cool huh I've been meaning to try them your cigarettes not tasting cold enough till you come up to cooze with rich tobacco schools white filter extra coolness to taste extra coolness as you smoke that cools come through for you well how about it yeah these are okay you'll be smoking all the time once you come up to ku come all the way up to cool and taste the most refreshing coolness you can get in any cigarette smoke cool filter Kings and now a final contestant will you enter and sign in please gene here shaft right it's miss hair shop - where are you from that's right New York Center Ridge you enter each century - New York nice to have you with this mr. chef may I present the panel and now would you be good enough to join me over here and we'll let the audience in the theater and the audience at home know exactly what your line it is salaried and deals in a service and we'll begin with Steve Allen perhaps because I drove down from Sharon Connecticut today and because Center Ridge sounds rather rural may I ask is there anything rural about your work anything to do with farms or anything of that sort one down nine to go miss Carla do you work for profit-making organization yes how do you work indoors yes and do people come to you for your services yes do you touch them at all yes I do how do you touch them above the waist yes also below the waist no that's two down and eight to go mister sir mister shop are your customers seated when you deal with them do you do anything to their faces no on occasion what on occasion you have nothing doing barbering I can skip barbering of manicuring can i no you may not that three down and seven to go miss Frances you do indeed then do something to their heads they're here yeah are you what Bennett negated are you above I've never heard of Ababu didn't do something to people's faces most people don't have that much hair on their face now I'm actually better we did we said sometimes because the fact of the matter is that miss hair shaft is immense bhava and doesn't do much shaving yes it's it's mostly this stuff you see that's why in her case we didn't call thing young hot towel would be yes T these days John with so many of the young men wearing these long Beatles haircut she has to do something with her faces to get at their hair Stephens made a good point Bennett we owe you an apology we shouldn't have said some we should have said certainly but this would never happen with Bennett's hair you see so it didn't come to mind well miss miss hair shaft works for endres barber shop in Greenville and Long Island so that anybody like to get a haircut they know where to take themselves to to get that hair are they still wearing the long haircuts yes they are even the respectable paper you see it all over town and thank you very much ma'am nice to have you with us now until next week good night Arlene Francis thank you John and I just want to say that in the more than 15 Sunday's 15 years of Sundays that we've spent together on this program we have become not just associates for the kind of family and so it is not so much as a co-worker that we miss Dorothea though certainly she was a game player that was better than almost all the rest of us it is really as a family that we are saddened by her absence good night Steve good night Arlene the fact that we didn't get any of the first three contestants tonight John establishes as Arlene was indicated that even just purely as a game player Dorothy is very dearly missed but of course that's not a very important consideration she's missed as a human being the world knows her as a very brilliant woman very quick minded and very intelligent the writer of a very fine newspaper column and but we we all think it's more important that she was also very fine wife and a very fine mother and find human being and we miss her in those capacities connecting tonight I'm sitting in Dorothy's seat but no one could ever possibly take her place good night Bennet a lot of people knew Darcy is a tough game player others knew it was a tough newspaper woman when she went out for story nothing could get in her way but we got to know her as a human being and more loveable softer loyal person never lived and we're going to miss it terribly John good night ladies and gentlemen thanks for being with us on What's My Line you

Lol. This pretty much sums up the origins of why dudes hate the 6 cylinder mustangs. They marketed it as the "secretary car". That stigma stuck around til now, while tons of other cars got kickass v6s that sound great and make tons of power.
