are you okay where are you and how on earth did you just run into a door you survived you survived what were you doing uh too many things at once running with your cup city and getting us to go live nothing nothing is broken or damaged there's parts of me that hurts but we're fine healing and trauma off and jesus you're not bleeding anywhere i don't think so oh okay so do you remember when we were all together the four of us and some others and you had kindly ran into the at the door lintel in um in capernaum in israel in capernaum in the synagogue it was actually in the synagogue in capernaum and you actually knocked yourself out cold oh you remember oh it was traumatic i could still hear the noise and then the blood was everywhere and he was completely you were just knocked out on the floor and we were running around we shouldn't giggle but it was so dramatic yeah all of us were bent over you and you you were lying on the grind not able to move i wonder whether first century romans and israelites were shorter you kind of waking up from the days and speaking just a whole lot of kind of gobbledygook who are you yeah we had to go and run to somebody for a first aid kit well our guide was ex israeli military so he he swept into action but he couldn't get near me because the rest the rest of the team were too busy breaking shock and trauma it shows how spiritually minded we are nobody got a bandage as you said the israeli military guide you know was wanting to get access and we're seeing numbers only every shocking promise oh it was the ver and in the synagogue in capernaum where jesus healed the sick and i go in and uh knock myself out yeah yeah that was a big airflow with doors people they're dangerous anyway glad you're okay all right thank you oh dear sam you you are complaining of one red ear this morning yeah i have a really red ear hole look at this why is that red i don't know why but my left one's fine this one but it's really annoying this is my elf ear right i was five getting a haircut we used to have a hairdresser who came to the house and he cut this ear a big chunk out of it he never came back after and that was him out blood everywhere so now i've got a really weird shaped ear because he took a big massive like right here there's a big gap right out the side of my ear because of that so now you can all see it but it's really red i'm really troubled you're hearing it's a sign well i have to say some you know all of us in our facebook and youtube we have to say that one red deer is a very very dangerous disease of course i'm gonna i'm gonna die i'm gonna which was a one ready year what what is yeah god had me in leviticus 13 this morning about skin diseases actually for real he did maybe it's for you the words from the through my right ear i didn't get bitten by an insect i don't think someone says i keep trying to show you so that i can get some sympathy and i've had sorry now well i'm just back from inverness i heard somebody was in inverness i was up in inverness doing some prayer stuff and beyond up in the north of scotland it was beautiful and uh yeah great two days i did miss you guys yesterday but i was have to say traveling back and tired so it's good to be back with you but the north of scotland is stunningly beautiful especially in autumn and all the colors are coming so yeah i have haven't missed the drama but i have missed you prophets are not happy unless they're being a bit dramatic for sure yes yeah prophets like a bit of drama and they either prophets either love things or hate things there's no in between there's either as you would think totally minging and awful or totally amazing uh yes there is no shades of grey in the prophet community we we do like the high drama yes i mean the amount of times mom asked my opinion of something and she's like sam can you just give me a nice opinion please don't tell me like how do you like this wallpaper sam please don't use words like it's the best thing i've ever seen in my life or it's vile she's like just say yes or no i'm like i don't know how to respond to something like that with those words or fine you don't like the word fine yeah mine isn't in our vocabulary no and you're wearing straight jeans for the first time in years yes sophie sarah jane's doctor and emma's daughter jessica have been trying to get me down with the kids with fashion and and now i am i just thought i'd dab to show that i am down with the kids i'm hip and cool oh and approval of jessica and sophie they wanted me to wear straight jeans and they think denim on denim is cool so yeah we did it the first time around in the 80s who was there when denim and down and was fashionable in the 80s did it done it not doing it again i'm sure we all agreed that it wasn't nice and it wasn't fashionable didn't you you know denim on denim it's definitely not fashionable because i'm loving this fit right now i mean i really like it i think it looks quite cool [Laughter] i think sarah jane and i may not revisit our 80s leg warmers that matched my mother's my mom and i went around together in matching floral leg warmers oh no you need to get them back out see if you can find them and shows no oh that reminds me of that program fame do you remember that and skirts and sweatshirts and roller skates people will see me and cry fame sorry anyway that was forever yeah light warmers and fame or something spiritual we're all ignoring it like the new ones all the oh people used to wear shell suits at my house they were considered to be like you know neddy does everybody know what neddy means probably not in facebook land neddy means you know people that are a wee bit rough everybody wore a shell suit at my school if they're a wee bit neddy right from the prophet's over opinionated take on fashion whatever but yeah fashion my ear over opinionated on everything i think prophets and things are there to say okay let's do something spiritual yeah yeah yeah okay we are still on uh we are ignoring david's problem we are still on prophetic words and as ever we have pages of them so uh this again uh is our happy place so let me just recap two minutes on yesterday to get us uh uh on the uh right page god had said to me how do you think i measure successful church how do you think i as the god of all gods measure successful church and we landed in this radical building anointing that god measures us uh by what we build and that sense of jesus saying look i'm gonna build my church of paul calling himself a master builder and of course then on in first corinthians that we get rewarded according to what we build and so we really went after yesterday that concept uh the evil ugly concept of two-tier church that there's like the proper real deal church that we want to like you know that's denominational and then there's all those little pioneers who are doing their you know what looks like their own thing and they're really second rate and those para churches that are second-rate because they're not denominational and we really killed that as a lie of satan yesterday because there it there is no such thing as a two-tier church that the people of god doing the work of god are always the church and that god is resurrecting and refueling and re-igniting pioneers because traditional denominational church is defensive whereas these pioneers are offensive and advancing and that what we need right now is the radical builders and the radical advancers who will establish this new breed of church and so we're building on that's how god measures your success by what you build okay and so we're gonna move on from that and answer the question some more what is god saying about successful church in this era and uh who wants to start uh samuel sir jane way furiously if it's you uh okay sam that looks i'll go whoever whoever am yeah i mean if you haven't listened to yesterday and particularly what emma released about what makes a successful church and building and pioneering it is an absolute must and there's about 20 minutes 25 minutes and really the key message for where we're going and i just said then we're going to build on that we're talking about the church being radical and the wildness of belonging to the kingdom of god and being part of the body of christ coming back to us and god started to talk to me about wildness and about the wild ones arising the radical wild ones who are sharp and sharp around the edges and if you remember last week god caught me up into the spirit and i could see him dancing around the throne room furiously stomping and spinning and marching and he was releasing a wildness to worship and a wildness to worship leaders and the worship movement well after i saw him dance and stomp he then came over to this enormous furnace and started to light torches and send them out into the earth and he started to say some the torches have been lit and i am calling wild prayer warriors and intercessors to arise to hold and carry these torches forward and god said to me sam i want you to remember the moravian church and what they had of 24 7 prayer god says wasn't meant to be an event or a historical moment but it was a seat in the soil of europe for the nations that is now about to spring up and god is birthing a wave of radical 24 7 prayer across the face of the earth right now and he's calling wild prayer warriors to arise to lay hold of these torches that he has let in heaven and start to keep that fire burning day and night and night and day and if you don't know about the moravians they were a radical community of spirit-filled believers and they birthed a round-the-clock prayer meeting and a prayer watch they called it a prayer watch that lasted 100 years that is a 876 000 hours of prayer they prayed 876 000 hours of prayer without a break without backing down and from this they sent over 300 missionaries all over the world from this prayer meeting guess how many people were part of the community just over 300 wow a community of around 326 during that 100 year prayer meeting day and night sent and empowered 300 missionaries to go and to birth prayer watches and revival hubs all across the face of the earth and god is saying right now i am raising up wild prayer warriors and intercessors who will carry the torch of prayer for nations and generations and who will pray day and night 24 7 until even i return says the lord and it's interesting that before the moravians knew a hundred years of intense holy spirit revival there was five years of disunity of strife and of church pitied against church but out of this they cried we need the spirit more than we just need agreement and out of that came this prayer meeting and holy spirit communities were birthed all across the face of the earth and they started to shift nations and revival started to come and prayer came around the clock and it didn't just happen at their base in germany and heron hut but it happened all over the world and god is saying i'm raising up these communities of wild ones who will pray and host my glory and for those of you that feel this beating in your chest you've got to know this as the time and someone's saying you've got a 24 7 prayer room opening at the start of november come on you are on time with god we bless that in jesus name and i started to watch as these torches were disseminated throughout the earth and they were put into certain places and god said watch as barcelona berlin bucharest dubai canberra new delhi liverpool and southampton even become key hot spot zones for 24 7 prayer across the face of the earth and they were not ladies that i would have thought oh that's interesting but i watched and divide as the center uh for for for that that is just intense right now with the demonic spirit there this that center in the middle east there were underground prayer meetings and 24 7 houses of prayer starting to burst up from the ground that would shift the middle east and would shift the uae and beyond and i watched even in new delhi as there were gardens filled with 24 7 prayer and it was interesting because in new delhi all the faces of those who were praying apart from a few were really young as in teenagers when i saw it being birthed there and in new delhi in india there is coming a hunger for jesus that will release a prayer movement and so if you are watching right now and you are feeling the intense weight of god on this that you're saying i want to be a wild one of prayer i feel that call i want you to just say i receive your torch of intercession god i receive that torch of intercession i receive the mantle for 24 7 prayer and it's that leviticus 612 that the fire on the altar must be kept burning and this is an international thing and what i was seeing was something so organic it wasn't a just a structure or a charity that was birthing it although that was needed this was like organic houses just bursting with prayer houses just opening up with people coming in and praying and 24 7 prayer occurring and as that happened god started to set light to the nations and the lord is saying even as we go forward 24 7 prayer and these wild prayer warriors they shall become the hinge of nations says the lord that enables them to open and shut to me and to open to my spirit and to shut to the enemy and so in jesus name i bless you that are watching who feel this word as a word straight to you to receive the mantle for prayer and intercession and i lose a fresh strength for 24 7 prayer center general i don't know if you want to add i i love your phrase i receive the torch that burning torch of intercession that there's something to be handed you from the king that is already burning that this is not something you have to generate this is not something you have to kind of uh work yourself up into but there is a receiving of a burning torch of intercession that by its blaze that has been set in the heavens you will then be put on fire by it and so i receive the burning torch of intercession is a remarkable kindness of a gift of god because how many of us feel like we started in prayer and then failed or began a new prayer movement and never had the momentum to sustain it but there is this anointing for a torch of intercession that god himself lights and when god lights something it cannot be put out when god sets something ablaze there is an anointing on that to be able to finish that which it was created for so there is going to be this new prayer movement that the spirit of the lord is even beginning to release that is unquenchable it is undilutable you cannot put it down or put it out because it doesn't just come like a coat that you can take off it comes as a burning to where you are right now yeah and then i see that in the spirit this torch of intercession like the torches that gideon's army held and the torches of intercession that are released in the right moment to route the enemy and these torches of intercession that are to light fires that are warnings and signs across the nations of god's move and so i really feel this sense of god connecting and communities of prayer connecting communities of people who are burning for the lord but also these sense of actually individuals holding these torches to light and to um use these if you will torches to light fires that will bring a a warning and alertness a gathering point for the nations to come together to pray and so there's this sense of it's individual but it's also corporate there is a joining in the spirit as well as joining together in the natural and much as we saw commun communities like the moravians obviously where wesley himself went to visit count zincendorf and then came back on fire and started the foundry that began the methodist movement and so this this new ignition that god is doing in individuals and communities across the earth amen it meant that amazing um sergeant do you want to take us further on from that because uh uh you got some words for us go for it pick what pick what you've got four four yeah we'll do okay yeah i really felt on the back of that word that sam released there this new move this radical prayer life this radical community this radical coming together and the word that the lord gave me in the last couple of weeks and showed me is the ancient church of the celts arising and so these celtic saints of old patrick columba brendan and others who lived in community in places like bangor abbey and iona uh abbey in in scotland uh and even in places in in wales this celtic church that is ancient that began because of the move of acts church coming from the east to the west that birthed a move of supernatural signs and wonders and miracles that the lord is saying to us today that the celtic church is awakening and the celtic church is arising and i saw jesus himself in a vision and he was coming to the celtic bride this supernatural ancient church and he gave her a kiss on her cheek and she sat up and then she stood up and then she released the sound of awakening across the earth now this is not just for me and sam and emma who live in scotland or for you who live in wales or ireland i saw these seeds like sam spoke about the seeds of intercession from uh the moravian movement these seeds of the celtic church the ancient church beginning to be agitated beginning to come green as god agitates those seeds in thousands and thousands of people across the earth those who are born by the spirit if you will are connected in the spirit to the celtic church those who feel like i've got an affinity to scotland ireland or wales in the spirit realm but also those who have perhaps a lineage in the natural or bloodline in the natural but it's not just for them it's for all of the church across the earth but there is this beginning this agitation this sound of awakening that is coming to us as god says the ancient paths are open paths of the celtic church are open the ancient past of the ways of patrick and columba and those who went from the celtic lands across the earth to release the gospel of the kingdom and left power signs and wonders as they left and they lived in radical community they lived in in in crazy kind of uh weather beaten places on the coast you know we get wild weather in the uk we get wild weather in the north of scotland and the north of ireland where these abbeys and these communities were sick but they lived together they worked together they prayed around the clock together and they went out and released signs wonders and miracles and the lord says right now i am releasing those greening seeds i just see it that you know when a seed just begins to germinate it's being agitated and the greening comes and then it's like the greening is happening all over the earth and some of you right now are feeling that oh i feel the agitation but i also feel the greening i feel that new life coming forth i feel the new life of radical christianity that was then and as now as god is saying is coming to us and so this sense of the gospel of the kingdom it is time to release it in this this ancient path that god is opening up to us so you might want to read about the old saints you might want to get yourself um immersed in the lives of patrick and columba and brendan and others and hear their miracle stories and amazing men of god and women of god who work together and to live together and release that kingdom of god together and change not just their nations but actually infected the world with the virus of this passionate gospel of the kingdom you can you can feel the weight of god all over that we are really hitting something that he is doing and uh in my notes uh i have under the how do you measure a successful church one i have radical building which leads to radical influence but number two is a new anointing for radical community and we talked a little bit about that last week this this surge of god for radical communities again on the earth but i want to give some more definition because we all have different ideas of what radical community might mean but i want to tell you what i heard god say about it that he he says clearly that there's there's stuff of power and i want to come to that later but actually i heard the lord say it is that you suffer but you do it with hope and as the world suffers your suffering and your challenges must be so hope fueled that when in pain people will look to how the church navigates heartache and crisis and pandemic and death and hardship and it is in the radicalness of not losing hope that you will be a beacon to how the world should live when things are tumultuous and radical community is about suffering with hope and i mean we're not all going yay to that but actually that is what we're going to see because the world suffers with despair but you and i suffer with hope and that is a massive difference that we're going to see as we sharpen each other to keep our expectation alive i think the other thing that you and i and this one's a little bit more challenging are going to start to see in radical communities is a grace for forgiveness that the church has long lost spirit of the lord says i will break your bad habits of being an unforgiving bride says the lord and the lord says i am fed up of you not modeling my son in your levels of forgiveness and a love of one another and the lord says i am correcting that because you cannot be a radical community you cannot call yourself a bride who is ready until you have learned the art of repetitive forgiveness says the lord and i think that very few of our churches know what it is to live with forgiveness at as a core value very few of our churches and actually what we like to do is lie we like to lie in the church lying is something the church is magnificently brilliant at high are you yes i'm fine and it's often a lie and in the place where there should be great authenticity and great relational vulnerability is the place where we dress up and marry a cosmetic spirit more than we even do in the world and so most leadership teams and i know this is a sweeping statement so give me grace in it but most leadership teams lack authenticity because weakness and trust is seen as telling the truth and weakness almost equals hiding you know admitting that you've got to struggle and so the lord is actually saying no you have turned it on its head that when you share your struggles when you share your vulnerabilities when you nurture and you forgive each other in your human frailty it is that that makes you strong it is that that blesses you and the lord says church you lost the space for frailty and humanity and you lost the space for compassion one for another in cycles of pain because you lost forgiveness and forgiveness took you on a journey of cosmetic relationships of lying as a standard about how you are and then you lost your compassion because you played let's pretend and the spirit of the lord says in radical community forgiveness is of the highest value well whoa whoa and let me go on with this i'm just going to read to you from hebrews 6 and then the other guys can can comment on it um hebrew six fascinates me in that um it says at the beginning uh about uh uh basic doctrines the the it actually has six basic doctrines that it calls uh foundational basic doctrines and uh it says that the these are are what you should all know about is really what hebrews 6 says and the first thing that is a basic doctrine as listed in hebrews chapter 6 the first thing is repentance it is acknowledging wrong doing that is the hebrew six model for basic introductory understanding about being a christian that repentance and did i hurt you and i'm sorry and i forgive you and all the issues that touch uh repentance are the absolute introduction that should not be lost i think then you can see uh you've got that in verse one yes um uh what translation have you got there niv and then the next one is faith in other words radical community repents and forgives radical community has high faith radical community continually practices believers baptism i'm going through these fast and radical community knows about the laying on of hands the resurrection from the dead and eternal judgment and what what absolutely fascinates me about hebrews 6 is that radical community knows about the laying on of hands radical community knows the doctrine of biblical touch doesn't that blow your mind that basic foundational elementary teachings have a whole understanding about how we physically touch each other that that's supposed to be something you have been taught in the church that something that is so basic in terms of how you physically interact not how you say hi from a distance not how you wave across a crowded church but actually hebrews 6 says you don't you have to understand physical touch isn't that i did a google for physical touch in scripture this morning and i came up with this the 10 top kisses in the bible fascinating fascinating to read that but actually paul says don't you dare give just a handshake you must give holy kisses you must be those who embrace you must be those who are physically in each other's spaces you must be physically understanding what touch does and what touch cannot do you must know as a basic interaction of the church what it means to be physically in each other's spaces and i think radical church is going to re-uh restore what the devil has polluted of touch and radical church you know what it is to kiss what i'm serious radical church is going to know what it is to kiss it's going to know what it is to hug it's going to know what it is to lay hands on radical radical church is going to be one that is connected physically in a way you and i have totally and utterly lost yeah um that is radical that is the concepts of radical church how do we do that with covert yeah yeah yeah good great questions yeah and social distancing you see we we believed that the pubs and the bars and the restaurants were essential but we didn't stand our ground on the church being essential did we now i want to do you want to comment on that because i need to watch you comment on that before i talk about uh more about radical community yeah just a couple of things i think from what you're saying so powerful particularly about the the touch you know that we have so lost the gift of god that is physical touch that when you go through that list it does kind of make your skin go oh and it makes you inside go really when actually it's basic and it's biblical and something that i think we need to say is god i recognize that touch is a gift from you because i think we have come to this place where we believe that touch inherently is wrong and evil and bad and it inherently carries something of satan when touch is inherently good and from god and of god yeah i've got to say god i take touch out of the hands of the enemy when i put it and back into your hands god and i recognize that touch is a gift from you and that prayer will completely change how you look and how you feel about concepts of touch and being physically intimate with your fellow believers and with the church because it's in scripture it's in the new testament and i think with that so teach me and god show me the touches i get from you i think as well we've got to pray with the forgiveness also god on that teach me how radical forgiveness is because i think and this is where i think we get forgiveness wrong i think we think that forgiveness is just between me and god so god i ask for your forgiveness because i have done this wrong and we have created this kind of one way street or back and forth street between us and god when forgiveness yes is between god and us but forgiveness is between the church and the church between me and you between you and i and that is a family affair a church affair where we forgive one another because god forgives us as well and so we've got to pray teach us this god because we've so lost it i think what what shocks me in this uh because hebrews 6 talks about touching the laying on of hands as a basic understanding and uh that uh the church has got to redeem it for the world yeah the church has got to redeem it for the world and it's fascinating to see your comments really interesting to see your comments because of course a number of you in fact quite a lot of you from the weight of comments have only known touch that was was uh authored by satan you have only known touch as authored by darkness and so you're actually physically squirming at the thought that there could be a biblical doctrine on the laying on of hands that actually imparts to you what you need that actually it's a basic doctrine for receiving and paul goes on you know when he's talking to timothy and he says remember timothy to fan into flame the gift of god that is in you through what the laying on of hands and paul says look you only got some spiritual gifts because actually a hand was laid on you and there was right godly touch and so i believe that these radical communities that have suffering with hope that have relationships of repentance and forgiveness have an ability to restore touch on planet earth that children who are abused and people who have histories of mistreatment come to the church and there is a type of touch and laying on of hands and holy kiss and embrace that is so pure that is so righteous that is so holy that is so in the love of god that actually we redeem we redeem where the world has gone wrong on it and that many get healed by righteous touch and righteous hands and righteous looks and righteous embraces that actually there is a healing in it not a fear to be had in it and that maybe where you've been touched inappropriately it is this radical community of loving embrace not you're hiding away that is going to heal you that's radical that's radical community according to hebrews 6. sir james you want to comment on that at all yeah i think we it's brilliant we will not be whole we will not reflect the true nature of the triune god if we do not have this radical authentic community that says i love you and it looks like something physical where we allow each other to hold each other not just in the happy kind of joyous moments of woohoo celebration but actually in the vulnerable unbroken moments where we we need to be held physically and i actually feel like right now where we are separated and i don't know about the rest of you out there in facebook land and youtube land and but i am yearning for that touch you know i'm yearning for that from my brothers and sisters in christ i'm yearning for the time when we get uh up against each other in worship you know in our armpit living radical community way because you know let let me be real here and let us be real that when god is saying to us that the challenge is coming to the church and the challenge is coming to the saints to be steadfast as i heard him say and as we're teaching here about radical community this sense of actually we cannot be steadfast by ourselves we cannot be steadfast even by ourselves in a group of people so for some of you who are meeting in groups in church maybe socially distance maybe not depending on which part of the world you're in right now often you can feel completely isolated and alone and almost like i'll be here i'll go to church but feel completely alone and isolated that's not the model that is not the reality that will hold us and bring us into a place of overcoming and conquering together in christ jesus and it's a prayer i think for me this prayer really gripped me emma on the back of what you're saying about love and forgiveness and steadfastness is second thessalonians 3 5 and it's the prayer may the lord direct our hearts to the love of god and to the steadfastness of christ and christ did everything in community jesus did everything in community he didn't do it by himself we have to be willing to be physically um in physical proximity to each other and they count yeah yeah and and i think as well i'm watching the comments here uh i love you guys and your honesty with this please can we think big and that would be my challenge to you i think there is this sense of oh maybe i don't like hugs and maybe that's not my love language and and and and me and me and me and me and me and me and me and me you know there's a lot of that in the comments and me and me and me is pressing my buttons actually hear what i'm saying this is about a community expression of interaction that redeems what satan has done in planet earth are you hearing me this is war your ability to hug somebody righteously is war in the enemy camp your ability to give a holy righteous case is war in the enemy camp your ability for embrace is war in the enemy camp and every time you walk towards each other as a loving steadfast forgiving hope-filled community you are slaying demonic dragons and saying your model of touch satan will not be the touch model that the world lives by here is right here you and i you and i is the kingdom of god here you and i as this nation under god here you and i as citizens of the heaven we are of the heavenly realms we are going to build a model on the earth that other people run into and say when you welcome me at the door when you embrace me when you get down on the floor and hold my hand when i'm weeping when you put your hand on my shoulder when i'm alone and in despair i understand that there's a redeemed touch that i'm gonna learn from the church and when i learn it from the church i'm gonna learn that jesus christ is also safe that's really what i'm talking about sarah jane do you want to go on um about this challenge to step fastness before i talk about racism sure yeah because i did hear the lord say the challenge is now coming to the saints the challenge is now coming to the saints that's that's us that's you and i but then the lord said be steadfast and so this is about remaining strong being courageous and being steadfast but interestingly as you're talking emma i feel this is so connected and surprise surprise it's so connected because the word steadfast in its original language is sawmak spelt s-a-m-a-k and sarmak means held up propped up sustained and born up and this is something that yes it's a spiritual thing but it actually is a physical thing as well where we come and we bear each other up and we hold each other up and we grab onto each other as much as we grab on to christ and so god is releasing this ability to us to be steadfast and hold on because you know we've already prophesied things are not getting any easier things are actually going to get more challenging and yes saints will fall away but actually the lord says if we are choosing and if we remain steadfast with him and one another we will come through and so it has to be spiritual hundred percent it has to be that prayer of second thessalonians 3 5 that david put up there where we grab on to the the steadfastness of christ who remains steadfast through all his trials into victory into resurrection and into glory that is our model for steadfastness but we do it together linked together amen yes brilliant and i think remember what we're talking about we're talking about radical community radical communities that have the torch of intercession uh lit in them as sam said radical communities as sarah jane says that have roots of the celtic wildness and steadfastness radical communities where you suffer with hope radical communities where relationships are marked by forgiveness radical communities uh where you know what it is to touch and hold and redeem that from the hands of satan and i think the other thing i'd like to to maybe finish on is radical communities uh where it is not about protestant and catholic or rich and poor or black and white or jew and gentile or any of those things that divide us and i really want you to to track with me in this because when you look at the early church you see the jew and the gentile eating together you see them working together they greet each other with a holy kiss they raise their children together they take care of one another they marry each other they bury each other and that in those days for for the jewish community and the gentile community to come and fuse and to merge themselves together like that was foundationally shocking to the roman empire it would have been the same years ago in northern ireland of catholics and protestant marrying or uh years ago of of black and white marrying that's what the jews and the gentiles were doing and it was seen as absolutely appalling to uh those first century romans it shook the roman empire to its very core because the church of jesus christ was a classless society it didn't regard social status it didn't regard color it didn't regard position for them there was no jew or greek in the body of christ there was no slave or free there was no rich or per and scripture says that actually several times if we'd had an eye to see let me just read colossians 3 11 here in the church in colossians 3 there is not greek and jews circumcised and uncircumcised barbarian and scythian slave free but christ is all and in all now if if that's not enough of a verse let me read to you galatians 3 28 there is neither jew nor greek there is neither slave or free there is neither male nor female who there's one they're either male or female that'll deal with them with some issues for you are all one in christ jesus and so for the first get this for the first 200 years christians only addressed each other by their first names why because their last names indicated social society positions and here was a classless raceless society where all social distinctions were erased and to their minds the jew and the gentile the slave and the free the witch and the rich and the poor no longer existed and you've got to this is how racism get heals healed so you've got to track with me on this i'm giving you uh how racism gets overturned in nations you see the early believers saw themselves as part of one family they were the new race they were the colony from the realm of heaven they were not from this earth but they were for this earth and jesus in his resurrection creates this new humanity destroying the walls of division destroying the hostility that had separated them and jesus becomes according to romans the firstborn of this new creation and that is why you read of three three races uh that paul mentions the jew the gentile which were the big fighting grinds of the day and the ecclesia and i've talked to you about that before but these first and second century christians called themselves this new race or this third race or the ecclesia and let me put this to you as we we we wrap up today this was a non-ethnically aware community it was a non-ethnically aware community they had divided uh they had stopped the dividing lines they had stopped the dividing lines of gender of race of class and social status they were all washed away and do you know how they measured each other do you know how they scored each other not on the things you and i score they scored each other on the distinctions of their spiritual gifting who was the apostle who was the prophet who could interpret tongues who could deliver where was the shepherd where was the evangelist and they understood that those were the distinctives that mattered not anything else and so you and i as the ecclesia of god are called to be raceless we are called to be genderless in how we view each other we are told to be a classless nation and can i be really honest we've got to get back to that mindset yeah what went wrong somebody's saying that's a very good question but let me tell you this and let me continue to kind of shock political solutions that you and i would like to see happen though important will only ever go so far and adjustments to our laws though important will always be limited because nuances to the justice system won't go the full hog that we need to go it is only the ecclesia when she is living in the unified life of christ can show what a world without racism looks like we must be seen to be the fellowship of the reconciled and what is going to happen in these radical communities that we've been discussing and you probably thought that we do oh radical communities par signs wonders you know that there is that in it too and if i time i'd go there but these radical communities are going to set a redeemed standard for reconciliation they're going to set a redeemed standard for touch they're going to set a redeemed standard for forgiveness where we live without the hate and the vitriol that you and i currently steward on social media and this non-ethnically divided ecclesia is going to rise and the world will look and say that's what we want that's where we're going and let me tell you no politician or lawmaker has understood it as well as christ radical community a redeemed standard dave has got on the screen a redeemed standard for reconciliation a redeemed standard for forgiveness a redeemed standard for touch that's the radical community of the church so if you have hatred or classism or racism or prejudice in your heart right across any way that you could think to divide people you need to get it out right now because you'll not like the new church if that's still in you if you have any unforgiveness in you you need to get it out because you won't like the new church that's coming that demands authenticity if you are worried about touch may i suggest that you need more than any this redeemed community of physical interaction to restore you and it makes me want to weep i can feel the weight of god i can feel the emotion of heaven on it because we lost all of this and when we are it the world goes ah now i've got a model sam sarah jane who forgive us for being those who have turned away from love from each other lord forgive us for for not being the authentic reflection of what community should look like in the ecclesia lord forgive us and get us to the place where we can embrace one another and embrace the fullness of what authentic ecclesiastical living looks like not some religious offering or reflection of a lie that we bought that we believed lord make us authentic in this day and make us hungry for authentic living yeah i feel like we each need to do business with the lord but as you say it's not just about me myself and i it's about the body of christ across the world the one together yes radical community is i think is more than we've had the heart to see yeah and it's not just how wildly can i worship i mean that is part of it it's much much deeper than that presentation on a sunday morning absolutely um sam do you want to comment and then i'll wrap up yeah i think it's it's the call the new testament call that that takes unity even further to where jesus prays for oneness that we're not all about unity in the new testament we're all about oneness because unity is an agreement it's a same document in some regards oneness is who we are where god nexus together fits us together as living stones heart to heart where we become one people not just me myself and i and i think just as we prayed with some of the stuff today god show me and restore to me the radicalness of community restore it to me and dismantle any image i have of what community should be so that i can see your true image your true prototype for who we should be as the church and let me just say this this is going to require nothing short of the power of god and this is not a man force well achievable thing this is not something that in our own flesh we can do it's the power of god and the glory of god in us and through us and living in the temple that we are fitted together built together to be that will enable us to be one and one people as jesus prays in john 17. yes lord break our bad habits yeah god break our bad habits god break the indoctrination of our cultures that put us against one another god break the indoctrination of our families that taught us that we needed to be suspicious of different classes or tribes or ethnic groups or social standings and give us the ability to reconcile as christ would intend amen okay well um uh shockingly uh we are um we're back tomorrow actually i'm not i'm on holiday from uh tonight uh but my dad and uh sam and sarah jane are
