I really hope that in part 4, when it is set in Tevinter you can only create characters from the Tevinter factions who have know connection to previous events. I think that would be a really interesting blank slate way to start it, to be just a normal Tevinter person who learns of these things quasi as an outsider. IMO that could make for an excellent game that works both as part of the lore and as a standalone.

I really like the idea that if you play the romance with Solas path, you can kinda look at your character maybe being the kind of character who would end up in the fairy tales as the Inquisitor and their tragic/misguided love for Solas. It just seems like the kind of thing that would make a good legend. Rather than just "fought really well/defeated great evil".

Wow. This just makes me even more impatient for DA4. Bioware is my favourite developer. Their commitment to the universes they create and the stories and characters that result from them have a level of depth I just haven't seen anywhere else. Edit - it kind of sucks that so much extra context is given if you are Solas's love interest, but then the race/gender for that inquisitor is restricted so much. I wish they would allow for an 'everyone gets to romance Solas' approach or provide that context some other way.
