oh we love you jesus we love you lord we love you lord this is a conference that's going to empower the next generation and i want to be that next generation is there a generation here tonight that's still in love with the lord that still wants to have apostolic church still in love with soul winning spirit level reaching out to this world oh hallelujah i want you to put your hands together and and we need a clear voice and we need a touch from god and we need a move of the holy ghost amen and i'm believing god for that i'm trusting in god for that this week how many do we have here from the about ideas we can cast vision we can we can remember what got us here amen and we have some wonderful things in store that we're going to be announcing um after service tonight we're going to be states of america have grown more than they've ever grown we had somebody come to us and say i want to start coming to fpc brother ursian and i said we're so glad we're so glad that you can and they said we now know who the real church is in durham north carolina [Music] because we're not going to run away and we're not going to hide and we're not going to fall for political scams but we're going to have church we're going to be the the kingdom of the living god we're going to clap our hands lift our voice call on the name that's above every name why don't you help me do that right now as we evening believe that the ministry of the word of god and the classes or the sessions tomorrow are going to be not just impacting but empowering we believe that we're not going to just be inspired but building just across the driveway it's a continental breakfast for all of our out-of-town guests at 10 30 here first thing in the morning 10 30 a.m is our first session on apostolic ministry in the 21st century we're going to be talking about biblical effective evangelism and how to be an effective uh outreach uh individual for the kingdom of god that will be also part of it but we will also be discussing ministry in the local church when we talk about ministry we're talking about anything from picking up the yard to to serving it on ministry staff in terms of working as a music director or as an usher or things of that nature so that will be the first session then the second session is uh we're going to begin with a panel discussion and that panel discussion will be questions and you will be asked to submit those questions anonymously i understand that people don't want to be known as the one that asked that question so we're going to allow you an opportunity to submit those questions anonymously and that through be through text and then after that we will dismiss and for all young ministers or those that are aspiring to ministry we will be having a a time where pastor oshin is going to be talking about how he studies scripture and many of you know he is a fantastic anointed preacher and many have asked how do you how do you study scripture what's your method and he's going to be discussing that so that will be after this panel discussion then there will be lunch provided for all of our out-of-town guests now due to coven and everything going on what we'll be providing for everyone is a 10 gift card and on this card right here are two chick-fil-as within just a few minutes of this church so we're going to provide that for you we want you to stop by and get we're glad you came to worship god and support this this effort here in durham with the cancellation of east coast last year and then we tried to put a youth event together that fell through the restrictions here can be um an ordeal to get around and we waited till after january to see how things were going to go and we found out we had an opportunity and we wanted to put something together that we knew would be local and perhaps a bit regional and who could come they could come it was short notice we we we didn't advertise a whole lot but next year we are going to continue this because i believe god is doing great things amen he's doing great things and i want to be part of those great things [Applause] bishop godier i'm glad you're here tonight amen amen he was in houston texas this morning bishop i want you to come and greet everybody and just let the people know how you feel tonight god bless you tonight thank you thank you brotherson let's all type a hand to the lord [Applause] hallelujah amen amen amen maybe you see that thank you brothership it's great to be here tonight and it's great to have all of you young people young couples and folks in our church here as well as from out of town all of you that are from out of town we're glad you're here i'm looking forward to hearing bishop holmes preach tonight good to have brother nathan holmes all these ministers and brother young from malden missouri hallelujah i was thinking of mauldin the other day man 1962 we started there brother young is now pastoring that same church and i'm excited about a great man of god hallelujah praise god i was with a lot of good men this week from monday till today and left houston today there's two things that i i enjoyed the meeting so much about 50 men from all over america but the two things i really enjoyed the weather was great and all the entire meeting none of us wore a mask so i i was excited it's great to be here [Applause] praise god i want to mention very briefly as well that the meal tonight down in the gymnasium is free you just come bring yourself and be ready to have a good time we want you to come and join us we're glad that you're here amen one of the reasons why we wanted to put on this nexus conference is because this generation needs a strong direction into the future powerful ministries brought us to this point and there are voices that are rising around the world that aren't as strong as the generation before them and they are preaching a message and living a life and they're saying you can be like the world and and it doesn't matter how you live really that's kind of old-fashioned and and just follow us and they're charismatic and they they they're cool or they portray themselves to be that and people if they're not careful can fall into the wrong kind of a mindset and and i believe god has powerful apostolic young adults that are rising that god is raising up in this hour that says you don't have to compromise you don't have to let down one iota on what you believe and what you stand for and the doctrine of the apostles to earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints amen and we're not going to take a back seat but we're going to get out in front we're going to be the head we're not going to be the tail amen apostolics are here and we're ready for revival well that's good for a denominational church but how about for an apostolic church i'm ready for revival i came to give god praise i came to live for god i came to walk by faith [Music] hallelujah amen amen amen and so i believe that direction is is here it is incumbent upon us and we're just going to continue to have church amen god's going to help us so we're glad you're here and joining us and we're going to ask that you remain standing tonight because we're going to move on to the my my favorite part of this service the man that we have coming to this pulpit is a man that has greatly impacted my life and the lives of many others and he has stood for the truth for many years in the face of great adversity and frequently when when i have important life decisions to make there's a few people i trust to give me godly counsel and the two men on this platform here with me right now are two of the men that i trust to do that and i'm grateful for them amen [Applause] they're a voice they're a voice that needs to be heard in this world and i wanted nexus to hear the voice of bishop joel holmes amen we're so glad you could come from north little rock bishop we're glad you could take the time we want you to special conference i don't know of anybody that's doing this but what a tremendous need if this message is going to keep going on somebody's got to get a burden for young men of god that are not just thrown out there but they're trained as the apostle paul trained timothy amen thank you brother ursian thank you for your love for truth and how many times you have blessed us at first pentecostal church preaching camp meeting and many many conventions all across this country has been such a blessing to the pentecostal movement in fact i grew up listening to the oceans as a little boy his grandfather preaching harvest time and my dad had a radio program right after harvest time and we'd be at the radio station a lot of times they'd give us that record they at that time they were putting them on a record and they'd just and we'd take it home with us and listen to it and rejoice and i can remember the times my dad tell the church if you didn't hear brother urshan this morning you should have been tuned in because he was preaching this one god jesus name tongue talking holy ghost born again he could do it like nobody could a man thank god for the legacy that he's left behind and and uh passed it on down and i can see why you have a burden to do it amen your father your grandfather so thank the lord you know i just always feel bad better preaching if the pastor's wife comes up here and sits by you think we could work that out sister ursian oh man thank you god bless you could be seated well uh we're not strangers here in durham son and i appreciate my son y'all pray for us he's trying to pastor me i'm trying to pastor him that creates collisions we're having a good time he's a noble young man and he's been working right with me for i think about 24 years and we've had a great time and god's been good i appreciate him being here with us brother morrison brother copeland amen and uh anyway we were coming today from the airport we were talking about the first time we walked into this church and what a blessing it was brother godaire and presence of the lord and the glory of the lord fill in the house amen and brother go there has been a rock for this truth many many years [Music] amen back uh now it's been back a while back brother joel mccoy called me and he had taken the church brother green's church and he said brother holmes i want you to come be my the first uh visiting minister and um so i you know i really didn't want to go you ever done anything you didn't want to do i'm driving to houston and i don't want to go down there and they were gracious and kind and i still didn't want to be there and uh because it was saturday and i wanted to be home sunday morning and but he was so kind to invite me and i got down there and we went to the church and prayed that saturday a wonderful meal and and then sunday morning his office was right off the platform the door you step in on the platform and i had my notes already and i was ready to preach and when i stepped on the out on the platform in the chair where i was seated the holy ghost spoke to me something said to me you got to embrace whatever i'm doing and i went to the pulpits with my notes ready to preach but i told them what the holy ghost spoke to me so the message got changed right there and i just preached to him you got to embrace whatever the holy ghost is doing it's only a real dry saint that try to fight the holy ghost it's only it's only a real carnal saint that would try to oppose the holy ghost you're not thinking straight if you try to oppose the holy ghost you just gotta embrace whatever god's doing now i was preaching to them and i was preaching to myself at the same time finally got going so good i just told them i said i didn't even want to come down here i got a home back in little rock and god's blessed us with a vacation home in hot springs and see no reason me coming down here [Applause] but when you're not your own if you're your own you just do what you want to you go to church when you want to go you pay your tithes when you want to pay your tithes but if you're not your own [Applause] and you've been bought with the price [Applause] you're not your own so when you get a commandment you just got to do what he says you can be seated and i preached to him and i told him i said i know how you people feel you know you know you know you know how all of us older folks are other than brother go there he's a young man but the rest of us young folks is don't move that plant whatever you do don't change nothing come on old folks y'all not helping me much no don't touch don't touch nothing it's good just like it is don't mess with nothing don't change no music don't sing a new song and don't beat them drums and keep the volume way down low did you know god's people got more in trouble over murmuring and complaining hey hey hey can you imagine somebody that was lost in sin and god has kept them 20 years 25 years 40 years coming to church with a bad attitude when they walk in the door they're finding something wrong jesus happens you are to be finding something right come on hallelujah you know i got a young son and that's what he wants to do he wants to move everything around he told the other day he wanted to paint repaint the church looks good to me i said just paint it any color you want to paint it i'm still going to come to church move anything you want to move hey don't you move that acts 238 don't you move that hole in this living let me tell you something all these things are temporal they're going to pass away but the attitude and the spirit that you've got is going to send you to heaven or it's going to send you to a very bad place [Applause] come on i think i'll just shout what about you i think i'll just dance right in the devil's face i think i'll just love god [Applause] yes lord help us jesus amen you can be seated thank god brother go there if i called the man's name you would definitely know him probably back in the 60s and 70s he had one of the largest churches in the state of arkansas and the church would seat about 400 people nice building and he was he was the about one of the largest churches and he kept on pastoring and kept on pastoring and nothing ever changed and he called me one day and he said brother holmes could you come over here and help me i said well i'd be glad to and so i went over there and preached for him that night now he was had back in those days a large church was a couple hundred 250 in in his organization that was the biggest church you know how many people were there that night eight people he was over 90 years old and he is still holding on to that church and he is still trying to pastor it and it had just gone to nothing sad part of the story he wasn't ready for me to help him he wasn't ready for nobody to help me he wrote it to the doors closed and they sold the building amen thank god for men like brother go there hey hey hold it hold it i'm not that was the wrong time to clap let me tell you when amen now if you try and figure out how all this feels brother go there is up here with a big smile on his face and shouting and we're happy and thrilled but it's like your children anybody got any children in the house it's like you saying here adopt my children and you pass them off and you stand around and you listen and call somebody else daddy but it's not my church oh you didn't hear me that's what this good great man of god knew he said i'm not gonna ride this thing till the door's closed on it i want a gent black headed holy ghost tongue-talking preacher and you know what we're here to do brother ursian we're here to hold up your hands that's the way i feel about my son go further than we've ever gone do more than we've ever done and i just frankly tell you i really felt the holy ghost praying you can just remain standing and i i said you know what son if you stay on track and stay with this message i believe the day you'll come you'll run ten thousand that's what it's all about it's not about me [Applause] it's about the kingdom and that's what i want to preach to you about tonight clap your hands to the lord oh helpless holy ghost amen you can be seated just remain seated while i'm reading the word of the lord because give you a few scriptures here tonight psalm 78 and 1 i'm going to watch the time of course you all know that won't do a bit of good i preached sunday morning son said daddy you can preach anytime you want to preach i said no it's not going to work like that you're going to have to invite me to preach maybe give me an offering too that's right a workman's worthy of his hire right man i felt like i'd done pretty good but i had a couple members told me said you sure are getting long-winded they're just carnal they just need to go to the prayer room get back in love with jesus people don't go to the bars and say well we've been there too long [Music] people don't go to a party and decide this party has lasted way too long [Applause] look at your neighbor and say it's a party oh yeah the devil hates our party he wants to make it doom and gloom he wants everybody to sit on these pews and be dry and dead and churches dry up and don't fight this music don't fight this singing don't fight a new song rejoice that's what's pumping life in this thing i gotta get started give an ear o my people to my law incline your ears to the words of my mouth the writer said i will open my mouth in a parable i will utter dark sayings of old which we have heard and known and our fathers have told us thank god for some fathers that tell us he said we will not hide them from their children we're going to show to the generation to come three things i'm we're going to show them hallelujah hey folks older saints they can't run like these young men are running but we can still show them heard a brother arthritis well he's real i know you young people can't believe that but he's real but i won't tell you if i can't do nothing else but shake my head i'm going to shake my head because i'm going to show the generations to come i'm going to show them the praises of the lord i'm going to show him his strength i'm going to show him his wonderful works that he has done the writer said he established he uh that's what god wants to do in the lives of all of us is establish a testimony and this is where this my subject comes in tonight legacy he wants to establish a legacy in all of us he wants to establish a testimony in jacob and appoint a law in israel which he commanded our fathers that they should make them known to their children that the generation to come may know them even the children which should be born who should arise and declare them to their children that they may set their hope we're at everybody's saying god and not forget the works of god but keep his commandments that they might not be as their fathers stubborn not going to be in that group stubborn rebellious generation a generation that set not their heart a right you got to get your mind straightened out god gave me a message here a while back and preaching it and but it's this we teach people how to dress right still believe in holiness yeah teach them where to go teach them what to look at on the internet oh yeah but did you know this bible says that he will teach us how to think you know the root cause of people's the root of the problem is people think wrong they walk in church thinking wrong they're looking to be offended and sure enough they get offended but this book said think on the good if there be any praise virtue think what think what think on these things come on clap your hands to the lord [Applause] you got to get your mindset right jesus help me y'all already got it going when you was up here talking about chick-fil-a i'm the chick-fil-a preacher what do they say when they serve you chick-fil-a and you ask for something whoo this is a holy ghost church jesus help me there's nothing like going to my pleasure church my pleasure to come to church my pleasure to pay my tithes my pleasure to give an offering my pleasure to worship my pleasure to run the house oh lord tell you what if you ever visited some of these the biggest chain burger chain in the land jesus help us looks like they slept in their uniform looks like they're mad at the world hallelujah thank god for an apostolic church you just need to get your mind set right everybody say think right yeah hey get it off politics for sure i read the book he said i put one up i take one down what are you fussing about the book said fret not over evil doers hallelujah we're going to set our heart right aren't we get up in the morning and it's raining look at it and say thank god for this liquid sunshine let it rain let it rain oh i feel a whipping coming on to the devil tonight god's people are a victorious holy ghost people hey you get a hold of what this it's in this book you start thinking like this book wants you to think [Applause] you'll have a happy marriage you'll have a happy home you'll be on a happy job and you'll be in a happy church on your way to a happy place called heaven there ain't gonna be no fault finders in heaven don't kid yourself they're not gonna be complainers in heaven if you're not gonna complain up there you need to quit complaining down here what do you say let's just live for god oh thank you jesus well help me jesus i just come with a big question and it's this what will your legacy be what will your legacy be you know you think about your vocation home the way you treat your fellow man more important what will your legacy be in the church or in the kingdom of god as we endeavor to pass this down to the next generation a legacy is this it's what we actually what actually remains from our actions on earth it's what we leave behind when we die let me tell you how you build a great legacy and it's that big ugly word that none of us want to hear in our nobody's flesh wants to hear but it's called discipline that's how you build a great legacy you reach back like this right here i've realized i have illustrated this here beforehand and you grab yourself by the nap of the neck and you kind of pull on it a time or two and you talk to yourself get it up on its tiptoes and you tell your flesh it doesn't matter whether you like it or you don't like it you you don't have any say in this when it comes time to go to church i'm going to go to church and the flesh is screaming oh don't take me to church when it comes time to go to prayer meeting that's every day coming to the house of prayer there's no better place to pray than right here in this house and that flesh is screaming don't don't take me today oh the louder it screams you know how you can always tell the will of god whatever your flesh is telling you not to do say i'm sorry apologize or you always find the will of god it's just always usually completely reverse from what your flesh wants to do i'm talking about building a real legacy a message left behind footprints that another generation can follow in help us lord to raise up another generation of pentecostal apostolic tongue talking holy ghost saints you got a discipline the flesh you got to discipline your spirit you got to be willing to become a servant and you got to get this kingdom minded and the second thing you've got to have is to learn how to follow the spirit become king not minded about your future but minded about the things of god and you become kingdom minded did jesus not teach us to pray this prayer thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven you know what i think that is i think that's a little glimpse of what god had in mind for us to be living when we receive this baptism of the holy ghost see i believe what happens when you get the holy ghost it talked about the rest in the book of genesis it talked about the rest in the book of hebrews and when you really get this holy ghost you get rid of that split personality where you're smiling when you come to church and everybody's just so nice and you're shaking everybody's hand and you turn into a gorilla when you get home somebody said they got a split personality well i tell you what i meant a bunch got more than just a split multiple personalities depends on where they're at hey you get full of this holy ghost you're acting home just like you acted church [Applause] people scare me to death that get into all these mood swings they're over here and they blame it on iris and hormones and they swing back over here yeah it blows homes apart and all kinds of things happen you get full of the holy ghost this hope i can't help but preach like i'm preaching let me tell you something this is the kind of home that i was raised in a old homes and agnes homes they wasn't at home talking about the saints and backbiting and mad and almost cursing brother they were talking about the goodness of god singing a song can't wait to get back to church hey folks it's a good life we just need his kingdom to come he said just like it is you need to pray and say god just like it is in heaven let it be on earth you know what that is that's a little heaven on earth to go to heaven in [Applause] sounds like a good life to me and i'm talking about god's people and i'm talking about people being a powerful holy ghost witness help us jesus i've told you can be seen i've told the people back home i said now look if you're going to go in every business and gripe at the at the cleaners and gripe at the restaurant they cooked fried the wrong egg and all this stuff i said go by the church down the road get you a handful of their cards and you hand them out don't be handed out our cards hey a lot of our persecution we brought it on ourselves but i'm just crazy enough to believe that if i can feel the holy ghost in this church tonight i can feel it when i get back to the motel room i can take this holy ghost with me come on clap your hands come on clap your hands oh what happens holy ghost heaven's holy ghost jesus speak to us in this house you know what the scripture says it says if you're going to be great he that is the greatest among you shall be your servant we're going to leave behind a great legacy we're going to have to learn how to serve with joy thank you jesus it's not about me it's about his kingdom if it's about us i'm gonna hold on to the church to write it to the end but brother go there i remember it very well i felt a shift in my ministry and i knew it was time it's not about our glory it's about his glory one of the great men in the bible was the name of joshua joshua was an amazing and amazing man because joshua it was like he didn't have a plan of his own he didn't have a dream of his own the bible said this man was full of spirit and wisdom and moses had laid his hands upon him and the children of israel hearkened unto him and did as the lord commanded moses as the lord commanded moses his servants so did moses command joshua and so did joshua he left nothing undone of all that the lord commanded moses i think this is some good preaching i think him preaching to some young preachers man it's it's sad thing when somebody just wants to take off but if you're going to be blessed and be used of god you're going to have to get moses to put his hands on you and then you're going to have to be willing to take instructions help us god one of the great men in the bible one of the greatest his name was jonathan jonathan and his father was the king saul saw early on backslid over just a few victories and it was he got in trouble and along come a lad by the name of david with the spirit of god upon him and when all of israel was being defied it was david he was seeing through different eyes let me tell you something everything about god is a revelation you wonder why people can't see what we what the bible has taught us to do is because they've never had the revelation you can open it up you can put your finger on it you can say hey here it is and they still can't see it until you have a revelation of it you can't do it we need to pray for revelation you know what i can tell the people that has had a revelation a prayer from those that have never got the revelation because if you ever get the revelation of prayer you will know i cannot live my life without prayer and that's not every other day that's every day of my life i'm going to be consistent i'm going by the help of god i'm going to go to the house of prayer i'm going to pray i'm going to seek god that's the reason people struggle with their tithe why do i keep on mentioning tithe because it's a revelation and it gets right close to the pocketbook and people don't like for you to get around that pocketbook but the holy ghost to get all over you but if you ever get the revelation you realize whoa see for a long time i really didn't press the people to come to the house of prayer because i was thinking you know that's too much trouble that's that's more trouble and they've got plenty but one day i had the revelation and and a bunch of them's got it and it's this it's where you get rid of trouble i can't tell you the business men that said you know when i come to the house of prayer the business picks up and i do more deals up here praying and i do out there chasing a dollar i'm just giving you their testimony you know what you see you realize it's not you don't give to the kingdom because the church needs it because the bible said don't even do that you don't give out of necessity you don't give it because brother urshan needs it if you ever have the revelation you see i give it because it benefits me and you know what i found out in leadership people will always do if they're ever convinced that it's to their benefit and to their advantage they'll do it every time that quick you just got to get them to believe and see and taste and see if the lord's not good and see if it don't work when you sow [Applause] you're going to reap there's no way of putting it down without it coming up oh yes you just got to get the revelation you know i'm not against people doing it but i over the years i've never asked people to get make a sacrificial offering if you do that's fine you should keep doing it but i just never done that because i know this when you get the revelation and we were out of church for about eight weeks good time not to pay your tithes i can't even go to church but you know what because people have the revelation you know what secretary she must be kenda georgia and gail whoever that is i don't know they must be ken because georgia said you know what the church has done better this year i tell these young pastors that kind of looked to me i said just remember now when you don't have church you can't take up offer neither but if you got the revelation you save it up till you can get back to his house you know the lord laid it on my heart i wrote a book about mountain peaks of truth and it's about the financial plan of god and and i was reading and and studying and the holy ghost was working on me and and i was thinking about that scripture it said if you sow sparingly you shall you know and i knew it said that but i said does it really say that and i after preaching all these years i went back and got my bible and opened it up and i put it in that book and it's this if you sow sparingly you shall reap i like it y'all preaching with me i don't think the balcony's helping me though y'all helping me apparently oh they're grinning at me they're waving yeah okay if you sow sparingly you shall reap and if you sow bountifully if you get one of them big tractors that's four-wheel drive that's got them wheels stretched out and you start plowing and sowing boundfly you wait don't miss that shower that's what got me i said does it really say shall we yeah it says it both times so you know what that means if you sow sparingly you shall not reap boundley hey i'm fixing to go back to little rock here for long [Applause] no i feel your spirits you love it you believe it thank god for holy ghost are we not blessed brother ursula brother go there you know what we've got the greatest people on earth you know what a uh a banker brother booker was telling the other day a banker in california told a preacher that's wanting to build a new church he said hold off he said i see it coming a lot of these churches are not going to come back and big church campuses are going to shut down because they didn't get the revelation like you got to revelation if i can't come to church that don't cut my ties out that don't cut my offering out let me tell you something david had the revelation saul didn't have it all of israel didn't have it but david had the revelation and it was david that stood before saul y'all be seen you're making me nervous he stood before and he said i read it today what he went through to go kill that giant he had to get through his brothers eliab he said what have you come down here take care of them little few little sheep what if you come down here to see the battle i know david sit and i can feel the holy ghost when i read it he said is there not a cause is there not a cause that you're feeling the call of god on your life don't let the devil talk you out of it just get out there and do what god called you to do are we not blessed hey listen you're talking about a support group this is our support group you know we we do a business class we've been doing it for years with people how to grow their business and how to be blessed because i discovered when you can't pay your light bill you can't sing and shout very well if you're trying to figure out how to get enough gas to get home and thank god keep coming but if you keep sowing you'll get a crop after a while so we we we teach them about uh sowing and and reaping and and growing in god and growing their business and and how god will bless and how god will make a way because that's what he is he's a waymaker thank god he's faithful to bless us and to help us and here this man it is wonderful when you come to church and you're driving a new automobile and everybody that sees it in your church oh i'm so glad did y'all leave then i'm so glad oh yeah the book says rejoice with them that rejoice and it also says weep with them that weep and i have discovered people will weep with you quicker than they will rejoice with you let me tell you about your friends they want you to do good but they don't want to see you do too good but if you get full of the holy ghost and you get the revelation is god not amazing it's amazing what god will do [Applause] y'all y'all can be seated y'all don't mind if i brag on the lord a little bit do you now here are you know god's been good and and uh and and blessed and you know what don't really need anything i guess that's the reason i don't get many christmas presents you know what will we get him in fact i tell people it's christmas every day amen it's a good life brother but just show you the goodness of god you know i was praying here back a while back and uh told sister john ed i said you know i think i'm tired of driving this pickup truck i think i'm gonna buy me a suv and uh that's all i said and all i thought about and just i stopped at a couple dealerships looked at a couple suvs and it's none of them quite felt right and come back home and i just i just said this and you know the best that i can figure up the timing the church bought me a bmw yeah i've always said i wanted a car with two engines one in the back one in the front i like the power but i got that bmw and i'm gonna tell you it just needs one engine oh and you know i i really wasn't expecting nobody to shout over that i just thought i'd do a little shouting up here by myself [Applause] but you know what i'd like to do i'd like to take it and smear it in the devil's face hey hey hold it hold it don't clap don't clap you know uh i told them when when i got that car they drove it in and you know now i i didn't expect them to do it i would didn't didn't have no idea they had had that thing stored three weeks and nobody had given me any indication that then they just kind of slipped around behind my back boy the things you can find out there going on in church behind you back but it's good they had taken up money and bought that car and uh of course y'all didn't know my mother but she was an amazing prayer warrior and i could hear her say it here i just thought about it and uh i could hear mother say lord you beat all the i've ever seen hey that's the kind of god we serve come on folks let's be a support for one another david had to get through his brothers he had to get through saul putting him down you're just a lad i'm just a lad but i'm fixing to take this child out oh i feel the holy ghost wanting to give somebody courage the devil will tell you can't build a business you can't do it you can't overcome you can't be victorious in your business he's a liar and the truth is not in him [Applause] we defy you satan in jesus name you can build a business don't despise the days of small things stay in there keep pushing keep fighting keep pressing watch god work it out watch god break away brother holmes i got a small church don't let the devil lie to you well this is a burned-over field it's no such thing the holy ghost is the same wherever it's at god can send revival wherever oh yes he can y'all be seated i i got to get through i can tell time on some people's face when you do this long enough you just look and say yeah well i feel it in the holy ghost young men rise up rise up young men don't let the devil lie to you don't let your peers hold you back peer pressure everybody's got it i grew up with some they wanted to fish and hunt more than they wanted to preach and have church and i got persecuted over it but you can't help it when you've got it in your heart and you've got a revelation of what god can do first of all he killed that line then he killed that bear oh yeah you need to get some trophies hanging on the wall and then he stands but force saul and he gives him his testimony that god is able saul starts putting his armor on him and this don't work give me that sling shot he didn't you know he didn't even have any stones at that point and the bible said he he didn't walk down there that giant he ran down there and he picked up them stones out of that brook is god not amazing how he can work but here's what started the problem when david come back through the jerusalem and he was swinging the head of that giant and his tonsils was sliding out on the other end and he was slanging to his head and saw them girls were singing and dancing he skilled his thousands and when they said whoa just a minute put it in another gear mm-hmm get them drums get the organ get the keyboard turn it up you know the reason some people can't shout because they don't have no victory they hadn't been delivered to nothing you get delivered to something you can shout [Music] they started shouting and singing david's killed his ten thousands hey young men go out and get you ten thousand of them there's nothing to stop you the woods are full of them do you know what the scripture said it said saul i'd him from that day forward you know why he was insecure insecure people do stupid stuff they're so afraid they're gonna lose they're so insecure they're so paranoid everybody's after them everything's after them and they're their own they are their own worst enemy they're going to get my church they can't get your church if you pray if god puts you in that church ain't nothing nobody can do about it so plural insecure saul trouble breaks out and i just want you to see the difference between jonathan and his dad i really think probably jonathan was probably around the same age as david and jonathan was in line to be king right you know one reason i think that jonathan david was about to close the same age is because young people like to hang together and older people just hang i want you to see the spirit of jonathan the bible said it came to pass that when he had made an end of speaking unto saul that the soul of jonathan was netted with the soul of david and jonathan loved him as his own soul and saul took him that day and would let him go no more home to his father's house then jonathan and david made a covenant because he loved him as his own soul here's a man that's not insecure here's a man that has the revelation of the will of god he see that think about what he gave up he gave up sitting on the throne but he said i see the hand of god brother go there i remember remember so well those older saints that surrounded me though i was 19 years old and very insecure but you know they were some of the very first ones to come and pledge their support i'm behind you i see the will of god you know what i've been so blessed because it's made a complete circle now i'm watching the church back home support my son with that same spirit you know why because there's such a tremendous anointing of god when he gets up to preach and feed those sheep they know it's the will of god it's a beautiful thing to watch the hand of god work jonathan had the revelation and he was not insecure he said if this is god's will this is god's will i'm not going to fight god's will saul you're foolish you're you you're fighting the will of god well look what he done he made a covenant with him and then jonathan stripped himself would you stand with me he stripped himself of the robe that was upon him and gave it to david his garments even to his sword his bow and to his girdle you know there's a story that parallels this and it was when elijah said this is an amazing thing he was going to anoint jehu and elisha did not just send a prophet elisha got a prophet's child because he could go undercover said you go down there and he got that child of a prophet and said you go down there and anoint jehu to be king and he the bible said that the captains all the captains were together and that was jehu just tell how many but when this child got there to anoint him had a box of oil the bible said it was a box and he saw jehu he said i want to talk to you and the scripture said they went in the house and he took that oil and poured it on his head and anointed him as king jehu come back out and he said the other captain said what is the lord what what did the lord what did the boy say and jehu said he came and anointed me to be king over israel you know what the rest of those men did those captains they pulled off their coat i'm talking about revelation i'm talking about leaving a legacy of blessings and victory that you were a church builder not a troublemaker but a church builder how will you be remembered in this church for it or against it can you get a revelation of it the rest of those captains when they saw jehu they took off of their jacket and they gave it to jehu for him to stand on we're with you jehu we see the will of god let me tell you young men god can never use you until you're willing to take off your coat and get behind your pastor and you know what i felt in the holy ghost to do and i've already asked your pastor would it be all right he said it would you can come to the music and that is for you pastors that are here and you've got ministers are young men that are praying and seeking god for his perfect will and there's more ministry than just pulpit ministry i told somebody one time i could tell they wanted a pulpit ministry i said i'm sorry but there's only one pulpit in this church and it just happens to be the pulpit that i preach in two of us keep preaching this pulpit at the same time but if you ever get the revelation of who god called that's who you hear and it isn't it amazing to me i've watched it over the years i know brother go there agrees with me there's nobody can help a church like the pastor and when you boil it all down they say oh we're glad the vista and preacher come we like to hear this one or that one but boy when you get down to where these saints are living let us hear brother hirschen preach it that's who we want to hear now do you think that's an accident do you think that that's just by chance or has god ordained that but you know there's some people can't see that they're just as blind as they can be oh i like this preacher i like to hear this one better than i like to hear that one now when you get the revelation you're in the church there's nobody can preach like your pastor can preach there's nobody blesses me like my pastor blesses me evangelists come and go but there's nobody in the world like the man of god that god ordained over that flock amen amen you know that's amazing i mean think about it preach 40 years and they still want to hear you wow amen brother sissel somebody said i drove 150 miles to hear you preach and they shouted he said well i can tell you right now i wouldn't drive no 150 miles to hear me preach but when it's your pastor when it's the shepherd that god put in your life somebody brought me a plaque it's been several years back and it said this feed them and they'll come hey you ain't got to worry about church members moving across town if you feed them now a goat may go anywhere in the world they're going to climb every fence somebody told me the best way to keep a goat from climbing a fence just don't build no fences i suppose they knew what they was talking about but sheep ain't gonna know nowhere amen they may go visit may go off out of town across town may go to even a camp meeting you might even come to the one in arkansas you know what i've told people that come there i said don't you go back home talking about how great this camp meeting is you go back home talking about your church you talk about your man of god don't you talk about how great these preachers are you talk about how great your pastor is this is just once the year we all get together and have a big party but we're not here to proselyte or hurt another church you can't do that and build the kingdom of god amen i just felt led to ask pastors that are in this building and would you walk up here to the front with me and you've got a uh young people or it's here tonight or would you come join me across this front just come and stand brother ursin could i get you to come down here with me come on pastors young men you got to be willing to take your coats off you ready karen if y'all will just face the audience brothers with your mind lining up right across here right right here because i want these young men to walk right up here to you and you i tell you what you're not going to hurt you if y'all don't mind spread out just a little bit because they're going to lay their coats down representing i'm under your authority i'm not my own i've been bought by price i don't it doesn't matter to me if you want to be a whatever sunday school teacher soul winner that already include every young person in this building amen i want you to walk up here before these great pastors and stand there before them and you just you lay your jacket down come on amen hallelujah go ahead hallelujah would you lift up your voices as these young men come make this commitment before their pastor tonight come on it won't hurt all you men to god tonight [Music] that is some of the best preaching you will ever hear right there there's a lot of people that they like flash and they like volume and but when it comes down to praying which is one of the most powerful things you can do ever in your life somebody said one time all prayer that what that doesn't do anything then you don't know prayer and the reason why folks shy away from it is because the devil fights you tooth and nail from calling on the name of the lord the devil is scared of a church of young adults of young leaders of preachers of saints of god of business owners he's scared to death of people that know how to pray and get a hold of god and touch heaven and open up the windows of heaven that god might pour out a blessing on his [Applause] people i'm thankful for the word of the lord i want to make some things clear tonight and i want to make an announcement the first thing is if you're visiting tonight with us we want you to come down to the gymnasium we have a meal prepared for you free of charge it's going to be wonderful if you are a minister if you uh ministers family if you're an out of town guest if you are also from this church and from out of town ages 15 to 35 we want you to come down to the gymnasium i wish we could serve everybody but because of limited space a lot of the church family we have prepared a meal to go for you the tacos and they're wonderful they are amazing and so if you are from the local church and you don't fall into those parameters we have a meal for you as well we want god's people to leave blessed amen [Applause] tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock we'll have a continental breakfast over here in the education building and then we will have uh breakout sessions we're going to be talking about ministry in the 21st century we're going to be talking about the word of god giving you study tips and how to understand the word of god better grow in your knowledge of the word of god to help you in your local church when you go back home and then we'll have a special session for young ministers if you're a young preacher a young minister we're going to help you with sermon preparation and some ideas about how to preach the word of god with all your heart and share some things that have helped some of us over the years and we want to be a blessing to you tomorrow night before service if you are a minister and you have family we have a hospitality room over here in the hallway with refreshments and it will be open up the hour before church so at six o'clock come feel free to come we want you and your family to feel free to me to come and fellowship and to greet one another have something to eat before church and then church will begin at seven o'clock we're gonna have a great time in the holy ghost and so the last thing i want to announce is i received some some bad news today um i got a phone call and apparently my brother pastor joel erschen has come down with covet and he will not be able to be here tomorrow night to preach and i know it's a it's uh unfortunate but i i love my brother i'm praying for him i want him to have a recovery and so i'm lifting him up before the lord and god is good to us so i got on the phone immediately and fortunately we were able to get a hold of brother matt tuttle he'll be here tomorrow night to preach and so we're going to have a holy ghost time one way or the other so buckle your seat belt be in prayer we're going to have a we're going to have a great outpouring of the holy ghost tomorrow night let's bring somebody to the house of god and believe god
