- [Blocko] Hey there,
welcome to Life Noggin. It's beach day, beach day. It's beach day. Hey guys, I don't know if you heard, but I'm going to the beach. I'm heading into the real world again. Think of it like a mini IRL episode. I left Triangle Bob in charge and I'm sure he can keep
things running smoothly while I'm gone. Okay. I'll see you later. (bright music) (upbeat music) (bright music) (upbeat music) (bright music) (blows lips) Phil-ereno, good to see you. - Hey, I thought you only
traveled through toilets. - [Blocko] I do. (bright music) Oh, Katie, Pat, hey. (bright music) - It's your first time at the beach? - [Blocko] In the human world, yes. - Actually hate, hate the beach. I'm terrified of the ocean. - [Blocko] Oh, but the ocean is so cool. Did you know that 70%
of the world's oxygen comes from the ocean? Oh, and the Pacific ocean covers
30% of the earth's surface. - Thank you for the facts. I still hate the water though.
- You won't even go into the shallow part?
- I'm fine with the shallow part. It's what's beyond the shallow
part that I'm afraid of. - [Blocko] Is it the sharks,
the sting of a jellyfish treasure you weren't supposed to find and now you're cursed,
being trapped at sea, getting little fish kisses? - The last one.
- You're afraid of fish kisses?
- No, no. The second to last one.
- Being trapped at sea? - Yeah. That one. I don't even want to know what happens. - [Blocko] Oh, don't worry, you don't have to.
- Good. - [Blocko] I'll show you
what the power of animation. - No, I don't want that. - He does that all the time. - Yeah, just go with it. It's much easier if you
let him explain things. - [Pat] Did we have to come in the water for you to explain this?
- No, but it helps. So here it goes. When you get stranded at sea, obviously your main concern
will be staying afloat until you're rescued. The best way to do that
without using much energy is by floating on your
back if the water is calm. Other risks include
hypothermia from the cold water and solar radiation that can cause burns. And if you're in the water long enough, you could suffer from maceration, which is when your skin
softens and breaks down. Oh, and then there are other sharks, but you can always try to scare them away by splashing and yelling
or fighting them off by punching their sensitive areas, like their nose, eyes or gills. - [Pat] I don't want to be
in the water anymore, okay? I don't want to be in the water anymore. - [Blocko] Yeah, if I was trapped at sea, I wouldn't want to be in the water either. Because if you're unable to
keep your face above the water, you can drown in about 30 minutes. - They've been out there awhile. How much longer till they're done? - [Blocko] Drowning
occurs in a few stages. After the water hits
your larynx or voice box, it will begin spasming and
you will develop hypoxemia or a decrease of oxygen
in the bloodstream. This causes a buildup
of acid in your blood, which can lead to heart attack and lack of blood supply to the brain. Eventually your larynx will relax and open and you will inhale water. - [Pat] Hey, can we
please get out of here? - [Blocko] Sure thing. Wait, wait- (yells). - Er!
- Don't worry, he'll be back. - Phil, you know the book is upside down. (soft music) - [Blocko] Oh, come on, I was
gone for like five minutes. Oh!
- Hey there, I'm Phil. You might know me from the
video you just watched. Have you ever wanted to have your very own Blocko
with you wherever you go? Well, now you can, with the
brand new Blocko enamel pin. This is a limited run so get
your Blocko pin while you can. And every pin sold helps
us make more IRL episodes. - Can I help you?
- Nope. If you wanna bring
Blocko to the real world, click on the first link in the description or go to keeponthinking.co. - [Blocko] I'll be sure to head back to your world very soon. As always, my name is Blocko. This has been Life Noggin IRL. Don't forget to keep on thinking.
