What does Passover mean to us ?

hello everybody well we are not giving up we having difficulties with our sound and technical and all of that so please let us know right now if you can hear me if sound is going through maybe you can put a thumbs up or yes we can hear you Audrey that would help us so I will pick back up where I you know where what I was trying to say before actually was on my hammock at home and I was yes somebody says thumb up we can hear hallelujah thank you Jesus well I was in on my hammock this afternoon just having a really good time with the Lord and something just dropped on the inside of me and was something that I hadn't didn't think about before but I realized that today was the beginning of Passover and and I know that Jewish people all over the world are celebrating the Passover they are you know sacrificing little lambs roasting them eating them family together and doing what we call a sera sera meal but they are still waiting for the Messiah but for you and I believers we know our Messiah has come we know that Jesus has a rod that's come and as completes the mighty work on the cross so for us pass over it especially tonight it's an opportunity for us to remember what happened that night what happened what why that Passover is so significant for you and I it is not just a Jewish feast it is a feast for everyone of us believer to remember what Jesus did and you know I was brought back to in Luke 22 when Jesus on the last night he knew he was getting ready to go to the cross to be sacrificed crucified and at that moment he had that understanding he had that you know it dawn on him this is the last night I'm gonna get to have a meal with my disciple so he asked them to go and find an upper room in Jerusalem and to find a lamb and cook head and do all them what Jewish people do on Passover and so they were to gather around the table and then Jesus spoke to them and his words to me are so significant as so powerful and I'd like to read them and I'm gonna read them from the the passion translation and it's starting in verse 14 it says when Jesus arrived at the Upper Room it took his place at the table along with all the apostles then he told them I have longed with passion and desire to eat this Passover lamb with you before I endure my sufferings I promise you that the next time we eat this we will be together in the banquet of God's kingdom realm hallelujah then he raised the cup and gave thanks to God and said to them take this and pass it on to one another and drink I promise you that the next time we drink this wine we will be together in the feast of God's kingdom realm then he lifted up a loaf and after praying a prayer of thanksgiving to God he gave each of his apostle a piece of bread saying this loaf is my body this loaf is my body where was I which is not being offered to you always eat it to remember me that is so powerful we are to take to break bread we are to take the Passover the communion together to remember him and after supper was over he lifted the cup again and that this cup is my blood of the new covenant I make with you and it will be poured out soon for all of you we find out here that Jesus at that moment can you imagine and just think of moment all the feelings all the emotion that went through him at that moment where in you that that was the last time that he got you fellowship with his disciple before the suffering and he was the last words that he was going to speak to them before you know he suffered and he knew he was getting ready to go not only through the suffering of the cross but going to hell and then being separated from his father you know on the cross when he says father father why are you forsaken me I think that was the worst the most the hardest thing for Jesus to endure was being for the first time in eternity being separated from father God and so right here Jesus told them some important things he said there was a cup and there was a bread and he told them that cup is the cup that's gonna seal this new covenant that I'm about to break with you the covenant that I'm about to make with you and whither with my church and you know that meant that for a Jewish person that kinda was a little not easy to hero or bring a little confusion because it's like what do you mean new covenant because the only covenant that they knew as good Jews was the law the Covenant the Mosaic Covenant that Moses gave to the people of Israel being under the commandments which there were 300 and some Commandments and now Jesus is saying here is the cup it's going to be a new covenant and and he said and this is my body that's going to be broken for you and he said do this in members of me and you know as a good Jews what Jesus was actually referring he was referring to guys I am about to be that Passover lamb that will be sacrificed and and suffer for you that and you know it's interesting because you remember but when John the Baptist saw Jesus come to the Jordan River What did he say he said here is the Lamb that take away the sin of the world John the Baptist had a revelation at the moment that Jesus was that Limbo of God that he was the one that was gonna take and and pay for the sin and and eradicate the sin and just he was the one that would come for the remission of all of our sins amen and so that's what the Bible also said that Jesus is the Passover lamb crucified for us but why is it so significant why is it so important because why there Jesus was making reference to a feast that Moses by God's commandments I told the people of Israel when God was getting ready ready to free them from Egypt and may I say that Egypt is a symbol of the world and that night when God was getting ready to free Israel from Egypt he told them to go ahead and take a lamp a one-year lamp perfect without fault with that a spot with that defect and they had to inspect it it had to be a perfect sacrifice and then 14 days later that they would take the land that would take the land they would crucify that would not crucified but sacrifices take the blood and it's fun actually in the book of Exodus and if you allow me I'm gonna I'm gonna read exactly the amendments that the people of Israel were given on that night and it's found in chapter 12 verse 5 it says your land shall be with that blemish or fall defect a male of a first year you may take it from the sheep from the goats and that's starting in verse 7 all the way through through 9 it says and they shall take some of the blood and put it on the tooth to doorpost and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it then they shall eat the flesh on that night roasted and fire with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it and so God gave them those commandment and each family had to get one lamb they had to roast it they had to sacrificed it roast it applied the blood and then something miraculous something powerful was getting ready to happen that knot and so what happened that night God was getting ready to bring judgment upon the land of Egypt and the destroyer was gonna go all the way through the land and wherever there was blood that destroyer was not allowed to come in to bring judgment to Greene condemnation and the plague was not allowed to get in the house and it found here in verse the same chapter in verse I believe is 23 it says for the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptian and when he seized the blood on the lentil and on the - to doorpost the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your house to strike him and will not allow the plague to get in and so we see that that was something that happened in another word judgment was happening outside of outside of the outside of those houses covered with blood there was judgment there was death there was plagues amen but in the house they were protected from judgment and they were protected from sickness and you know it is so powerful because in some 105 verse 37 the writer of that song gave a quick account of what happened that night what I'm talking about and you know what he said in verse 37 it says that God took the people of Israel out of Egypt and thank God are loaded with gold and silver the treasures you know of Egypt and he said and there was not one feeble among the tribe and the word phoebo is the word castle in Hebrew and listen to what that word means it's just it's not just feeble it means it's so powerful it means to stumble to fall due to weakness to be to fail to be sick to be cast down and depressed and to be ruined in another word that word encompasses spirit so and body in another word that word meant that every person that got out of Egypt every one of those Jewish that were under in that house that particular of a dove the lamb roasted and fire that aid the unleavened bread that drank the cup all of them were spared from judgments they they heart got encouraged their heart got filled with expectancy and joy and courage and their body if they were weak they got strong if there was sick they got healed and they even God blessed hallelujah financially you see that what that little lamb did was so powerful you say well what's the big deal about it you know you have to think that we are talking here about slaves they had been understand really for 430 years and to be instantly under slavery meant that you were under harsh labor you remember Pharaoh demanded that they produce bricks without straw imagine that they they were under harsh labor from sunup to sundown that probably didn't eat three meals a day that that that probably were rationed amen and if they didn't produce good work good work then were being beat up that were being beat with with whips and and and I don't know how they were mistreated or how they were beat up but I know that at the end of the day some of them must have been very weak must have been sick must have been hurting in that body unable to go for the journey through the desert and yet and and not only are we talking about slave but think about in a minute in I believe it's in Exodus 12 verse 37 I believe it says that they were about 600,000 men alone plus the women plus the children that men and you know Jewish family they don't just wait they don't just have one kid or two one and a half they have six eight ten to a jackal had 12 kids so just do the math a little bit we are talking about millions of people millions of people going out coming out of Egypt and yet not one was weak feeble depressed ruined and sick that is a miracle and you know how that miracle took place because together there partook of the bread that partook of the wine that partook of the flesh of a lamb and let me say something to you if a little lamb Babur did for millions of people to enable them to rise up to walk out and to cross the desert on foot if a little lamb did that what do you think the Lamb of God the Lamb of Jesus will do the Bible said that Jesus is the Passover lamb that was sacrificed for us that is so powerful and that what-what happened for the children of Israel can is for us jesus said now my blood is sealing a better covenant built about upon better promises and that's what I'm talking about if a little lamb produce such a miracle for a a millions of people what do you think it can do for you if you take communion by faith in what Jesus did on the cross for you and you know for me this is so so powerful because the Bible says in Colossians 2:17 he said that ritual that feast that Passover Feast and every other fees that God commended the people of Israel to observe the Bible says in Colossians 2:17 it is only a shadow of things to come but the body is of Christ what does this mean it means that all of those were just pointing out to what Jesus would do for us there were only a symbol there were a dress rehearsal if you allow me to say it this way but the real play the real thing the real fulfillment the real miracle happens now through Jesus because that's what he did he went on the cross for you and for I to free us you know from the world to free us from hell and sin and and free us from the kingdom of darkness and he translates us into the kingdom of light and then he wants to bless us to heal us to deliver us to fill us with himself that's what happened that's what jesus' work on the cross accomplished that's what you and I have to remember that's what we have to declare to celebrate and you know for me that's amazing because the Apostle Paul you remember when he met Jesus on the road to Damascus he says Jesus said Papa why are you persecuting me and says who are you lord he said I am Jesus of mother at whom you are persecuting and right there Paul fell on his on his knees but you know Paul after his conversion did not go back to Jerusalem to confirm the disciple to meet with the Apostle to talk to the believers no he went and isolated himself in the wilderness he went to Arabia for a few years and you know what he did that as a fair enough Pharisee that knew the Scriptures so well he went to study the Scriptures the books of the first five books the Prophet the learned the Prophet to see if Jesus was really the one whom they prophesied about he was talking from book to book you see is Jesus it is he who he says he is he see the Messiah that I've been believing for he's in the one and what did he do that's what Paul was doing but you know for me what is amazing is that while he was in the desert face to face with Jesus right there something happened Paul even said he was sickened out of his body he says in the body or out of the body I don't know but he went and was taken to the third heaven and he said I saw things and heard things that I cannot even share but you know what is amazing and I believe it's during this time that Jesus himself appeared and spoke to Paul face-to-face and you know one of the things that Jesus talked to him about and taught him and commended him is about the Last Supper it's about communion it's about us taking the elements and breaking bread together because listen to this and it's found in in first Corinthians chapter 11 and listen to what Paul says he said for I received from the Lord did you notice he didn't say I received from the apostles though I received from that is noise that I received from the Lord which to me shows the importance of this this celebration this coming together to break bread this sharing the elements together it shows the importance of it and so Paul says I received from the Lord that which are also delivered to you that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which he was betrayed he took bread and when he had given thanks he broke it and he said take and eat this is my body which is broken for you do this in remembrance of me and in the same manner he also took the cup after supper saying this cup is the New Covenant in my blood this do as often as you drink it in remembrance of me for us often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you will proclaim the Lord's death till he comes do you see almost word for word word for word how Paul received Jesus's words that sounds exactly like the same words the same commandments that Jesus gave to his disciple on that last night that Passover night that shows me not only that that is a very important things for us to do not to take lightly not to do it flippantly or a casual way it is something that is so important that Jesus appeared to Paul face-to-face took him to have them to say you must teach the believers to have communion together and to remember my death to declare what I did on the cross what is the bread what is the cup it is so powerful and so that's why you and I it's important for us to remember and to declare and by faith to see those elements and to take them by faith to eat them and drink them by faith remembering by faith what it is meant to do the benefits that it will bring to you and to and to me and you know I love to see that the benefits that were for the people of Israel are far better far greater ours a far greater formula that those that they had thousands of years ago because the first thing you remember when God saw the bloody would not allow the destroyer to come in judge to come and destroy it to come and make people sick to condemn people it was not allowed to do that and for you and I was I we take the elements it is a moment to really focus on God's love on God's grace and God's goodness it is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance just like condemnation and judgment was not allowed in the Jewish people's home so in the same way the blood of Jesus the body of Jesus hallelujah Rida God that's why it's called Passover you know that blood legally is a sign that cannot let the enemy judges condemn us and send us to hell legally the devil has no longer a right to say new to help to condemn that's why in Romans 8 verse 1 it says there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ God walk in the spirit let me say that to you if you are born again that means that you are one with Christ you are one spirit with him you and him and him in you you are one in the spirit and that mean that if you are born again now because you are one in the spirit there is now no condemnation for you you might have made a mistake you might have in the weakness of your flesh flesh sent or made a mistake but there is from God no condemnation no judgment for you the truth is when we mess up when we sin or open the door to the devil there will be consequences there will be condemnation from the world from others from the you know that you open the door to the devil but there will be no condemnation from God what God will do he will not condemn you but he's gonna encourage you try to lift you up you know if a righteous fought 7 time he shall rise God through his word through his spirit we'll try to encourage you to inspire you to get back up and keep going he'd mind with his word and his spirit guides you discipline you direct you counsel you rebuke you but he will not condemn you he will try to show you the way into the path of righteousness for his name's sake that's a promise from a new covenant but God is a good shepherd he leads you in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake he will encourage you lift you up hallelujah and all the benefit of so as you know we're talking about sin but some of you it's evil further you have addictions maybe you're addicted - I don't know - cigarette - alcohol - porn - drugs I don't know what you can be you can be addicted to worry or to gossip that's another one hallelujah but but you know while you we take communion it is an opportunity to be free it is an opportunity as we drink the cup and eat the bread to know that God is not judging us condemning us but God is wanting to free us from that which binds us he wants to free us like he freed the people of Israel amen and that's why you know we take unleavened bread that unleavened bread what does it represent it's interesting that God commended the people of Israel to remove all leaven from their house for seven days and then for seven days there were to eat unleavened bread made with at least what did that represent most people think it's sin no no no according to Jesus in Luke 12:1 and according to the Apostle Paul yeast or leaven is a sign of hypocrisy what God is interested he wants us to come to him even as we take the communion together he wants us to come with a pure heart with a heart that is free from hypocrisy your heart that doesn't try to pretend to be something it's not your heart that's not gonna act play a heart that sincere authentic that is honest God wants honesty he knows what you're struggling with it knows what makes you fall it knows what keeps you captured and God wants you to him with that lever without hypocrisy with that fear with it with our authenticity to come and take that lamb we see the lamb drink the cup eat the bread to be totally free from that which binds you you know another promise from a new covenant in Psalm 23 we found out that God needs us by the green pastures by the still waters he guides us into the path of righteousness for his name's sake and a few verses later and he says and he dresses a table before us in the very presence of our enemies what is your enemy today is addiction your enemy is a bad habit enemy is pornography that had your enemy whatever that enemy is one whatever name it wears today what we take communion as we are be at the table of the Lord together eating the bread drinking the cup it is in the very presence of those enemy because God wants to nail them he wants to conquer them he wants to eradicate them from your life he wants to free you from any kind of bondage and it's a good opportunity to be honest people God and said father I don't want to do that but I keep falling into the same trap you say Jesus said the flesh is weak the Spirit is willing and that's what important the very fact that sin bothers you the very fact that you don't want to do that thing you know is a sign that your heart has been touched has been changed that your spirit is alive and to God and the Bible says in women 722 says I delight in the love God in the will of God according to the inward man your spirit does not want and as long as if you are born again and you come to God with a sincere heart sorry I don't want to do that I hate when I do that but for some reason I keep calling him to it father I want freedom from him approach father God in sincerity honesty in any way he knows everything he knows what you're doing even when you do it in the God God knows we might as well be honest with him and bring everything let me say on the table on that this table because that's only where there will be great it's at the table of the Lord that there is Grace and power to completely free you from anything like this hallelujah there is no fear in God because this table is a table of grace and a table of love and love conquers all grace where sins abound grace abounds much more and that grace has the power to stop that sin to make you conqueror over those bad habits do you believe me I believe that tonight you will be set free amen so be honest with God approach him with that leaven approach him with that epoch recei in total honesty amen you know another thing go into God and I love that you know from the passion translation roman 8:1 listen to what it says so now the case is closed they remain no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life union with Jesus The Anointed One if you are in life union with him glory to God that's what we need to be so hooked up to the vine stayin in him to stay in the word to listen to him every day talk to us give us direction and and and help us every day that's so important amen and so not only I'll be free from condemnation we are free from addiction but we can be free from pain symptoms and sickness that's the reason why you see Peter in first Peter 2:24 he said by the stripes of Jesus we were healed past tense you see Peter saw Jesus on the cross he knew he saw the body of Jesus being totally butchered totally disfigured and every stripe and you know you probably already know that but other time that crucifixion was the most cruel type of death and not only if that was not enough they to make a spectacle out of him they whipped him 39:40 time minus one you know and every you know the wept they used after every strand of the whip there was a piece of bone all shocked metal in another word Jesus is bad was totally lacerated totally butchered why did God allow this to happen why did God see it necessary to do to let his son go through that because he knew that every stripe was the payments for your sickness I don't know how many strands of sickness they are in the world but I know that every one of them has been paid by the stripes of Jesus no matter what name the sickness you have is that name he's been paid for that sickness has been paid for and that name must bow the knee to the name of Jesus because he was given a name above every other name you know that sickness has a name speak to it and say the name of Jesus is above that and I will even say Khurana you know you are the crown Corona you are the crown because Jesus is and Jesus is Lord and I commit every symptom to loose people's body I commend that virus to stop in his plan and I call those that internet intentionally brought that virus to destroy America to destroy the world for whatever purpose demonic purpose I call them virus topped and it struck the blood of Jesus stands against chip in Jesus name Oh hallelujah Halle hallelujah and so for those of you who are seeking your body whatever sickness that is by faith you can go and check that that that healing you can take take the bread hallelujah and take the cup and declare sickness has no right to enter this temple of God immunity and if you are sick say that sickness now you've got to get out and I receive healing and I receive strength in the name of Jesus hallelujah so you see I would like us to take communion together it is so powerful you know Jesus said Roman to God in um in john 6:53 he says most assuredly I said to you when he says most assuredly that means verily verily you can bank on it unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood you have no life in you and you know that's the the famous saying that costs hundreds of disciples to forsake him they could not understand they thought he was talking about cannibalism no no he was pointing out to this night to this Passover night where his flesh would be broken his blood would be spilled and that not in the future where you and I can break together and declare and remember that it is in the table of the Lord but there is grace there is favor there is love there is power and there is life and life in abundance so are you ready to partake of this wonderful table of the Lord because he has dressed the table before you in the very presence of all your enemies so I would like for us together I hope that you have taken bread if you have a night you can rush me being trying to find a crack or something and and maybe a glass of juice oh whatever and so together we are going to break bread there is no distance in the spirit wherever you are in the world you could be in India you can be in America you could be in Europe somewhere I just want to say hello to all of you and I want to say as we take communion together to remember that these bodies you see my cracker has holes in it because he talks about Jesus's body crucified lacerated and that body was broken not his bone but his body so that you and I could receive freedom could receive grow in a God strength in our body in our heart are you fearful are you depressed are you thinking about the future and fear tries to paralyze you I declare that you are free free and fortified and strengthened by the Spirit of God and this body that was broken for you these trance that was put on his back is for your healing so as we break this bread we remember that healing belongs to us strength is part of our promise by the stripes of Jesus we are healed remember what King David said in someone with me o my soul bless the Lord you must bless the Lord of my soul and don't forget any of his benefits who forgives all our iniquities who heals all our diseases so whatever disease it is receive healing from it eat that bread [Music] [Music] hallelujah yes Jesus it's all about you it is all about YOU Jesus thank you for that your body and you know that is why Jesus God commanded the lab to be roasted in fire does it typifies it symbolizes Jesus going to hell to roast in the the flames of hell but that is where he conquered because death could not hold him down that's where as prophesied in genesis 3:15 he put his foot on the head of the day and our of hell saw that master conquered humiliated and your sickness is being defeated your sickness is being humiliated that sickness is like trying to intimidate me I said shut up you be quiet right now ah healing healing reigns under the sound of my voice I call cancer to die and to shrivel in your body I call in Jesus name any appetite us any diabetis and the author - Lyme disease Crohn's disease you die and eating in decimal problem whether it's the column the stomach the the ingestion well whatever it is I call freedom I declare that you will back your shoes with with facility with with easy I declare now that any kind of glaucoma has to go any fell upon your eyes that blurs your vision I can't call it gone I got any back problem there's some of you your spine has been damaged whether it's a disc whether whether it's a scoliosis whether it is barbers whether whatever it is I call you back straight and healed in Jesus name you might feel right not warmth go through your back you might feel that tingling going through your body it is the mighty power of God going through your body in that blood that blood is so powerful one drop of that blood conquered the enemy conquered sin conquered the devil conquered his voice and his condemnation and so don't let him rule and reign in your life tell him where to go and as we take the blood remember that you now have a covenant with Almighty God you are a child of God under his grace his love is tender care and he is faithful and his desire is falling for you to draw so close to him to draw close to him in sincerity honesty transparency in just as a child that abandons himself in Daddy's arms knowing that your father is for you not against you that nothing can separate you from his love and if you hear a condemning voice it's not from God for there is not no condemnation from God for those who are in Christ Jesus so celebrate your freedom celebrate this grace this love that God is so lavishly covered you with Oh father God we thank you for your love for your goodness thank you Father that you love us until eternity forever and ever and nothing can separate you from this love that night hallelujah father that data then was read from top to bottom and you chose to come and live in us so as we drink this cup we celebrate unity intimacy closeness with you father because you want us as close to your heart as possible so don't let condemnation don't let the voice of the enemy keep you away from father God and so let's declare and celebrate what Jesus has done for us to make us father's children to give us the adoption and to celebrate us and to love us to accept us in the beloved [Music] mmm-hmm father I think you owe I praise you every time I take communion I am reminded that it's an opportunity to come and draw closer to you to get you know you or to listen to you to rejoice to celebrate you and worship you no matter what's going on outside around we just to focus on you to celebrate you what you did and declare that you are king you are Lord and that we love you we love you so much I love you so much Jesus thank you for what you've done thank you for your sacrifice you are separated from the father that we would never be separated from Father God ever again thank you oh thank you so much for having spent this little time with with us oh I hope that you were blessed and I have a good feeling that you will never take communion the same ever again because it is by faith that we must do it not as a ritual not as a legalistic observance but as the celebration of Jesus marking our Lord Lovat we are lovers of God are we not and so let us love him and I want to encourage you as we cut the the lies of Facebook life it doesn't mean you have to stop you can't continue to worship God you can continue to celebrate him and sing to him a new song tell him of your love of your gratitude what it means to you of thinking here well everything that he's done everything he's doing in you and everything he wants to do for you around you and through you and I'm gonna leave you with one verse that belongs to you Isaiah 60 verse 1 rise and shine for the light has already come and the glory of the Lord has already risen upon you so rise and shine my friend you don't have to wait for the glory to come you step up in faith and you are the glory of God just shine just be Jesus just love people that God is loving you and you'll see all the glory you want to see we love you but more importantly God loves
