volusia school fuel today right after our second service we're gonna be joining together to pack over 3500 meals today for families in our community we're gonna have hair nets and gloves and even masks so make sure you come on out and be a part of this it's an awesome way to not only reach out to our community but do something incredible together as a city sanctuary family so come on out reseeded amen I want to give a praise report for my father-in-law Ray Sanders yeah went in for a heart calf on Monday and had two stents put in all good Wednesday he went in for a valve replacement surgery of went through a heart cath procedure and the procedure was good but when he came out they said that his lungs were full of blood clots and so the doctor gave Caffey my mother-in-law the I'm sorry speech and said I'm glad your husband's ready to go and so that night we spent talking about living wills and do not resuscitate orders and talking about again what would happen I said well let's let's pray let's let's ask God I'm not gonna give up anything on him I believe that God still wants him to live and not die and so we prayed and had a family time a prayer the next day the doctor said all those little blood clots went away and there's just one and we sucked it out and so I praise God for answering the prayer and Delta's there today in Orlando hospital with him give me Cathy a break she's been with him all week against so Delta my wife is there today with her dad and again we if you're listening online we love you Ray Sanders and we're proud of God's work in your life so praise God amen praise the Lord thank you Lord for for his recovery we had a great cleanse estream retreat yesterday and our own people Terry and Diana Saylor did the coordination as cleansing stream representatives and they spoke and our own Carl judge spoke and Terry Jews it was going to be they're going to be leaving us to go to Cedar Key we recognize them in just a minute she coordinated everything many of our own people were on the line praying for people the only cleansing stream retreat in the nation because we had a facility that was spatially distanced and sanitized and we're able to safely have the retreat in this setting and so we thank God for a tremendous day yesterday right here and two pastors pastor his wife both ministers came and were with us just a wonderful couple I I don't know they were seated up there they have been gone I think they may have left where's Diana they gone looks like they're gone they were they were over here but that stuff but I know Pastor James are you here with your wife Tori they were here in the first service they were here for the worship and I guess they they have gone to be with the Lord they've been raptured in a chariot of fire and God bless them so we we wanted to give honor to them today well it's time for us to check in and if you have your phone or your smart device would you be smart and take that out Terrell so Luke to join us up on stage and Tara Judd has been serving as my administrative assistant for the last two plus years and she and her husband Carl have a blessed financial insurance business that they're relocating to Cedar Key Florida on the Gulf Coast a little Mayberry over there has you know probably Barney and Andy Griffith to take care of the things over there it's a little paradise right on the beach and so again for fun you know I'm Tara never wears shoes yours were somethings open it's because she lost you the beach girl so for her farewell we all wear flip-flops to it because not funny to you but it was fun for us because she loves the beach Carl's a great fisherman and so it's with sadness that we come to this time but also with rejoicing Luke has got look at this hair and this incredible hair I mean Kylie to have hair like that and then it may be awesome we admire your hair look so Luke's been a great athlete a student here in this area a great part of ignite ministries and so look we appreciate all the flips look and do flips he's done lots of flips in this church and therefore elsewhere and so Luke we're going to miss you and pray God's blessings upon you in every way and then Carl worked right alongside of Terra and he's done so many things around here and of course he taught yesterday in a cleansing Streamwood retreat as well and Karl has got the great best spirit he's got a christ-like spirit and a servant heart and a great student of the word of God so he's done a lot of things here at this church and Karl we thank you for all you've done and then miss Tara miss Tara has done jumped in there and you know she's just Energizer Bunny has done so many things here so you headed up our connections team for a while and then she became my assistant and ran the church so never had to worry about things being done when Tara was around and she is led a revolution we the planning center software she led that revolution of organization here in the church and getting all that done to bring us to a new level here at the sanctuary and so Tara we thank you for all you've done and we pray a new level for you guys now where you're going you've given us a new level so may God give you a new level of life and ministry and business prosperity where you are we have a I guess an expression we can we can never repay you for what you've done but we have an expression of thankful miss and we want to say thankful thank for you thank you to you and thank you to Carl thank you to Luke for all you guys have done and I said in the first service gonna repeat it here again that you may work a lot of places but nobody's gonna appreciate you more and love you more than what we do here to see sanctuary that goes for oh they're my big god bless may use them to be the same kind of blessing in another church or in other areas that you will leave them in God will look to hear great and mighty things that you're doing in them and through them as area with a show of unity does anybody think that'll be a good thing to do we want to have a show of unity for our community and we hope that news feeds pick it up because we believe that will eliminate the kovat concern by having people consider their own cars or you can bring your own lawn chairs and sit outside your car and you know to have a real drive-in experience out there please try not to play the other music cuz we'll be playing some but let me tell you we're having some special guests called the liberty voices and they are from Orlando they sing at Disney and James White used to sing with the voices of liberty and so they've asked him to sing with them as they come on the 28th so and they're gonna be great so we're looking forward to the great music and a great patriotic celebration on June 28th one drive in service at 10:00 a.m. we want to have a big show of unity for our nation to see it Jeffrey good to see you here I didn't see it until now god bless you and welcome a man we want to look at the Word of God prevail forgot to mention that today is our hunger fight packing event if you want to join us you can join us right after church for a light lunch and to help us pack 3,500 bags of food praise God and we commend Volusia school fuel and Rock for feeding so many people but look at Genesis chapter 32 the word that God gave us his gracious he said after Jacob had wrestled with the angel then the man said your name will be no longer Jacob your name will now be Israel because you have wrestled with God and with people has anybody ever wrestled with God over your life have you wrestled with people nobody's moving I'm not gonna admit that today here pastor well I think we all have how maybe I'd like to have favor with God in with people well praise God there's three of us we're gonna have a good service today and it says you have prevailed prevail is a word for victory it's a word for strength of word for winning a word for favor so God wants to give us favor with himself in favor with others father I thank you that you stand with me I thank you that you're with me today Lord and I pray that you would give your 19 haha Thank You Holy Spirit that you would give the breath of God we embrace you we love you today thank you for the comforter it's in our hearts so Holy Spirit do your work may the word of God not return void but may it accomplish that which you please both in those in the building and those on line and we'll thank you for your gracious word of prevailing today in Jesus name Amen look at this whole idea of wrestling I don't know how many wrestling fans we have out there WWE the World Wrestling Entertainment world began in the 1950s and had an audience of about 20 million Americans that were devoted that's gone down in recent years because of its fakery where they have begun to fake a lot of dramatic moves to entertain people and so they've lost some viewers we look at Jacob's life we understand Jacob was somewhat entertained by the angels in bethel and entertained by his father and grandfathers faith in Yahweh but yet he was faking it till he made it right he was not really on board no this guy was someone who had a very casual relationship with God and maybe people in America can relate to that Genesis 28 16 says that when he saw the angels going up and down on the ladder to heaven that he basically he said surely the Lord was in this place but I didn't know it he wasn't very good at perceiving a move of God or the work of the Holy Spirit in his life he had a casual relationship with the family faith he was one who had a casual commitment half-hearted commitment he said you know Lord if you will bless me and keep me and provide my food and my clothes and and bring me back here safely then I will I will give you a tenth of whatever I earn I will make a conditional commitment to you so many people date God instead of marrying God and so many people are half-hearted in their relationship with God and so they can relate and we can all maybe see our lives and this guy who become a patriarch Jacob and we look at Jacob living on the surface we know though still even though he lived on the surface with God that God still had a plan for his life in fact he gave him a dream and in the dream he said this he said look I want to do something great for you personally I want to give you this land that you are now laying in this is in Genesis 28 he said I want to make your descendants as numerous as the dust on the earth I want to bless you and bless all the families of the earth through you big guy I want to make your name great in the earth well that's a pretty positive plan don't you think and it was going to be possible if he only believed God and he worked with God as God worked with him but then came what we all know happens in life delay delay God's waiting room where he was at leoben's house for count'em 20 years and in that 20 years he didn't look very blessed the miscalculation of being blessed is when you look at your life and it's full of contradictions to what God's promised you and you say wow this doesn't look like like what God promised me and that's where he was there's delay in between the fulfillment of the promise of God and in that period of time he had difficulty difficulty is what he experienced at laymen's house he was promised Rachel got Leah he was he was had his wages changed ten times he was mistreated the Bible says by Laban he had all these difficult years in his life and it is hard to persevere sometimes during the difficult seasons but can I tell you that if God is one to raise an oak tree he's gonna take some time to raise it up if God is wanting to have a mushroom plant that can grow overnight right you can get mushrooms in yard but too much rain if God wants to build something great sometimes he takes his time building it so it is the believers sometimes we we think that we're going to be overnight giants in some area but God many times will put you in a crock pot anybody know what's had this praise God you know put you in one of those cookers that take a while to to make in you and me what he wants us to be and so don't give up and your favorite God but know that God is gonna keep his promises to you and so there came a time where also he had the encounter of division that Jacob was full of broken relationships he was full of brokenness in his relational life he had a a sore brother at him but from stealing his birthright in them he had a sore father at him for for deceiving him and stealing his brothers blessing a mother who obviously was conniving and and no doubt had marriage problems after the whole deception they put off on Isaac and and then he was really running from his brother and when he got there he had the Trump of relationships with his father-in-law and in troubled relationship between Leah and Rachel and he was just a bastion of broken relationships and so it is that we are seeing that come to light in our nation we're seeing really a microcosm of what's happened in our homes is happening nationally that there is brokenness in our family units and there's brokenness in our relational life and our nation and we're seeing that breakdown and the enemy is always wanting to divide us amen he is always the one who's behind division whether it's in the family or it's in a nation that he's always the one who delights in that but again all this was going on but yet God still had a promise and so his development was what he was calling Jacob to in fact you'll find that two or three times that he begins to call him to his dream he calls him to come back to the place that God wanted him to be and that guy wanted to bless him in this because you're in a time of trial doesn't mean that God's promise to you has failed come on somebody you know you are going to get there if you only believe and so he is called to go back but he had to make a decision you know you have to make a decision whether to believe God or not believe God whether to hold on to the promise that he gave you in the dream he gave you or not to hold on to the promise and the dream that he gave you but Jacob made a decision to return I pray that our nation will make a decision to return to God I pray that this brokenness in our nation will cause us not to get away from God but to draw closer to God that you pray that God will help our nation to make the decision to return to the place that founded us in we're one nation under God and that in god we trust' may may God cause us as he calls us back to himself but yet Jacob also made a decision not just to go back to church or not just to go back to God but he made a decision to camp out with the Angels praise God it says it in chapter 32 verses 1 & 2 when he saw the angels that there he decided to camp out praise God can I tell you that God doesn't just want you to have a dry toast religious experience can I tell you that God wants you to have an Angelica natural experience would come where God does supernatural things that that's the same vision he got earlier where there were angels ascending and descending oh yes the song said he'll do it again let me tell you God's just looking for people in the earth that are looking for the angels they men that we're looking for God to do great and mighty things again and I believe God is poised to do that in our nation and in us and he camped out it's time it's time you see church is not going to be the same anymore it's not just about a surface relationship like he had in the beginning but it's about camping out with God it's about spending more time with God not less time with God I'm here to tell you that if you spend less time with God you're going to be tempted to drift away from God and there's going to be a great falling away in the last days the Bible tells us that because of all the evil the love of many will grow hold and they will fall away from cop let me tell you don't draw back draw toward God in this time go for him camp out more with God in this season than less and so he made that decision then guess what happened God by His grace came down to wrestle with Jacob you see Jacob had a negative attitude he he was expecting the worst when he came back he he was expecting Esau to take his head off and to kill his family and and spoil his plunder he was expecting Esau the one guy that seemed to stand in the way of God's promises you know God said he'd give in favor with God and man so the one man that was standing in the way he thought was an obstacle that couldn't be overcome and so he was six times in chapter 32 imploring God for favor o God you know your promise but a little god Esau is gonna try to take my head Oh God you know he's imploring him for God to give him favor we look at this decision we understand that it's the angel of the Lord who was the pre-incarnate representation of Jesus Christ who came down to wrestle with him he aren't you glad for grace today aren't you glad that God has Amazing Grace on you and me and that we didn't pursue him but he pursued us and guess what he's still pursuing us he's still coming after us he's still coming down to wrestle with us and to get things out of us that don't belong in the promise life that he's probably he's bringing us here Jacob had to get rid of his doubt and fear he was motivated by fear he had to get into faith in the Word of God and God had to get some things out so the angel says to him what is your name what is your name he was bringing him into a confrontation and a contemplation of his nature my name means deceiver I've been a deceiver all my life and oh yes okay what is your name yes you're causing me to make a confession Jacob yes I'm a sinner yes I brought sin into my condition the reason I'm in this condition of afraid of Esau is because of what I did to him yes yes Lord I've done wrong yes Lord I I need you to change my life he was bringing him into a confrontation with himself let me tell you that crisis always does that crisis will cause us to self examine ourselves right and instead of complaining that the TV why don't we examine ourselves do we have any prejudice in us do we have any hatred in us do we have anything that is that we need to confess ourselves and ask God to forgive us from come on now I'm preaching good whether you will me mend me or not and so he said in order for you to get to be the Prince of God you've got to confess the sin you got to confess and also I want to ask your name because I want to know what your identity and what you're going to choose to be your identity are you gonna choose to be Jacob the rest of your life are you gonna choose to live in sin are you gonna choose to be Israel the Prince of God one who contends with God what are you going to choose I'm here to tell you every day you get to choose every day we choose whether we walk in the spirit or whether we walk in the flesh every day we get to choose whether we walk in forgiveness or walking grudges every day we get to choose whether we're gonna pray and compete with God we're gonna not pray and communica every day we get to choose our destiny every day we get to choose our nature every day we get to say God I want to be the Prince of God and not the one who has a sinful nature and this is what the question was the question was are you satisfied to be where you are or are you ready are you ready to go to where I want you to be oh are you ready to become a prince are you ready to become a princess are you ready for what God's plan is for your life Oh blessed be to God I want to go to where God wants me to be blessed be God I want this nation to go to where God wants it to be blessed me God I want my marriage and my family and my sons that go where God wants us to be oh I want to see God give me the best plan for my life and God to work it out by his Spirit well then we go to the whole idea of Russell of God and that is there's one important thing Jacob I need to address about you and that is you're in that pendants from me oh yeah there is that in Seattle they they've got the they got that autonomous zone there that they have they have ruled off and said we're going to try to change the nation by getting out of the nation we are autonomous here in these six blocks and and we're going to change the nation through that well friend I'm going to tell you God says Jacob you're a lot like that you you want to see changes come by by being independent from me but that's not how that you're gonna win with God that's not how change is going to come changes they're not going to come for yourself help Jake the changes are going to come when you surrender to me and my work inside of you and then when that happens then I'm going to make you the man that you couldn't be in yourself but I can make you and only by my power will you become and so we touched his thigh the strongest part of our party and he knocked it out of joint so there from that point on Jacob walked with a limp but you know what he walked with a mark of God he was a humble guy and he couldn't wrestle anymore in his own strength he couldn't try to deceive and arrange things anymore no all he could do in the rest they match now was hold on because his legs wouldn't wrestle him or his hip was out of joint all he could do is hold on and because and instead of being independent he all of a sudden became dependent oh god what would happen if we left our pride and prejudice and we left our independence and we said God I need you in my life and without you in my life I will never be able to make my marriage work my parenting work my finances work my relational life work on anything in my life work oh God without you and I'm holding that I will not let you go until you bless me I need you I will not let you go until you bless this nation I will not let you go until you break my son and daughter to the place they needed me I will not let you go until you heal my body I will not let you go girl I believe you want to do a great thing and I was not let you go until you bless me Oh hallelujah may the Holy Ghost preach to it prevailing with God and prevailing with others this is God's plan for your life how would you like to have a life of victory anybody say Amen how would you like to have victory to God and victory with other people you see the inside victory gives you the outside victory it's the it's the way the kingdom of God works well I think I need to go and learn all these techniques to work with people I need to do this well let me tell you what it's Bible says that when you're at peace with God God let me even make your enemies to be at peace with you I'm here to tell you that it's the inside when you're at peace with God when you are right with God then God will make you right with other people oh the way to see God working his life and say Oh God wrestle with me God wrestle with me get to get the carnality out let me get the lack of commitment out of me getting older the junk out of me so that I can surrender to you and you can finally make me into one I'm supposed to be instead of me trying to struggle with myself I want to prevail with you and I want to prevail with all people because of your spirit within me you believe that say Amen bring it in me God bring it in me you see but many times we have a destiny decreased these guys crispin oi and and this other man Eddie Guerrero R Guerrero I'm really good at Spanish as everybody knows these guys grew up together his buddies and growing up together as buddies they both made it to the World Wrestling Entertainment Champions one was the entertainment champion Guerrero and the other one was a heavyweight champion in the WWE they were together in their 30s somewhere walking and strutting in Madison Square Garden with their championships and within three years at that time they would both be dead because of drugs and drug abuse in their life you see when you wrestle you get injuries and you get injuries you have pain and when you have pain then the people want to met came with painkillers and other drugs that try to alleviate the pain and so their destiny was decreased because of their pain and they ended up with self-defeating behavior that cut their destiny short so it is that a lot of people because of pain they have in life you know life is full of contradictions it's full of things that we can't reconcile it's full of losses it's full of of crisis times and and in those times sometimes the pain is almost overwhelming of losing a loved one are going bankrupt or having a divorce or having someone have a have a very difficult illness and we have pain sometimes that pain I've seen it as a pastor causes people to stop wrestling with God it causes people just to kind of give up and to again fall away from God and then to begin to get back into self-defeating behavior which again diminishes their destiny and so we look at this idea of how that God gave him a new name in this wrestling match to match his new identity you see the new name that God gave him was attached to his destiny if we look at the screen you can see that there's a phrase there Sarat ah M Elohim which means struggle with God or contend with God and then there is that your name shall be Israel or Israel as it is finally written under and on the screen the hebrew scholar knows the phonic similarities that the hebrew word when it talks about the Saratov this Sarat ah and Israel when you are saying Israel you can hear Israel Sarah da history Nosa Ruth ah you can hear in the very name of pronouncing Israel you can hear the meaning of the name Israel which is struggle with God so every Hebrew very well and knows what Israel the name means they were called in to a contending for God in the earth role that their role in the earth before Jesus Christ would come that they were like the second Adam before Christ would come that would contend for God's rule and his will to be done in the earth and so the call that was happening to Jacob was really a call for the nation see that's why I say to you that the destiny of our nation is in the hands of the development of the church you see it's not the white house it's going to bring our answers it's not the governors and the mayor's I'm here to tell you today that it is you it is the Church of Jesus Christ that our development will determine the destiny of our nation in these times of crisis its are we going to come to our understanding that we are also called to what to contend for God's will and God's rule upon the earth you say prove it to me pastor glad you said that because we look at Hosea chapter 12 verses 3 and 4 and then we look at Hebrews chapter 5 7 through a tour through 10 you're gonna find here that Hosea is talking about jacob's wrestling and the name Israel to be put upon the nation and upon him what happened was he said that when he was in the womb he was a heel grabber he was contending again for superiority contending to be the head and not the tail let's say okay he was contending and you always need to contend for the victory you don't ever accept defeat in the name of Jesus from the devil for sure you always contend for victory but yet he said when he matured well when he matured it says that then he contended with the angel of the Lord and he prevailed oh yeah even though he would prevail with tears in his intercession with him then we fast-forward to Hebrews chapter 5 what does it say about Jesus it talks about Jesus also with loud cry and with prayers and supplication that he also interceded talking about him no doubt through his life but especially in the Garden of Gethsemane and that as he did that that he was perfected and he learned obedience through the things he suffered now suffered is gonna be a word they were gonna put into agonizing and prayer in just a minute he he learned obedience through obeying the call of God oh yeah Sarat ah to contend for the plan of God of redemption right he said that he offered up those prayers and as he offered up those prayers that God said I have ordained you to be a priest forever or to be an intercessor forever he ever lives in Hebrews 7:25 to make intercession for us what's that to bring the kingdom rule of God to this earth come on somebody so we look at this whole idea about the maturity mandate what you understand is that there are levels of Prayer and levels of prayer you might start with asking asking is prayer but then there is seeking seeking raises the intensity of your prayer then there's knocking its present tense and Matthew 7:7 that means to continue knocking or almost to knock the door down right that the intensity and the perseverance is increasing in your prayer life and then after that comes intercession that's where we're called to do what God ruled by his creative word right and so again we are to bring the Word of God to rule upon the earth we are to pray the word in the earth we are to pray God's will in the earth that you create kingdom ruled by your kingdom prayer and by your kingdom words and so again it's intercession then there's fasting that brings the power of God and then there is wrestling wrestling is what we find in Colossians 4 and 12 that epaphras wrestled in prayer for them to have Christ formed in them he agonized in prayer for Christ to be formed in them it's what happened with Jesus and Luke 22 22 that Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane it says that he was agonizing in in prayer until hematidrosis took place great drops of blood came from his body he's the only one that will pray and that severity because the intercession that was needed there was the greatest because it was about redemption oh not my will Lord but your will be done there had to be the submission of the second Adam to the will of God even if it meant death on the cross and burying all of our sin so there had to be the greatest degree of wrestling with God in the Garden of Gethsemane that any person has ever experienced until the point of great drops of blood came from his body because he was agonizing in prayer before the victory came and so it is we find that we wrestle in Ephesians 6 and 12 against principalities and against powers and against the ruler of darkness this world and spirits of wickedness in heavenly places ever felt that eerie feeling of a wicked spirit ever felt the devil trying to steal something from you that God said you're supposed to have that's the wrestling in prayer oh no devil you're not gonna have my kids salvation oh no devil you're not gonna have my body's help oh no devil you're not gonna have a spirit of fear in me and there is that wrestling in prayer and until you get to what we find is the ultimate and that's where we run weak and so when we run weak what we find is the Holy Spirit hallelujah for the Holy Spirit of God when we find us in Romans 8 in 26 and when we are weak that the Holy Spirit knows our weaknesses right he knows that sometimes we don't prevail in prayer sometimes we don't know what to pray then he with groanings there's that agonizing and prayer with groanings of the spirit he begins to groan through us with with the Holy Spirit beginning to move to us according to the will of God and I tell you what he's praying you see the Bible tells me in Ephesians 3 and 20 that he God is able to do exceeding abundantly and above all that we ask or all that we think I'm here to tell you that you and I would be amazed if you prayed in the spirit the kind of faith you had you'd be amazed at the kind of prayers you prayed because when the Spirit takes over he says they let me move your doubt aside hey let me move your small thinking aside hey let me move that prayer side let me pray like God can answer your prayer let me pray bigger than your plane let me pretty larger than your plane let me pray for God's glory to come on this earth God wants to do great and mighty things so much that he gave us the Holy Spirit to grow through us according to his will so that he could answer the prayer for your family for your finances for your help for this nation I'm here to tell you if God moves nobody can stop it as they cannot release your voice [Applause] hallelujah I say hallelujah Oh raisin Genesis 26 16 the Lord was a year but I didn't know it was well always people excited about what's going on around here that's not the kind of life that Christ died for you to live he said I want you to be a seeker prevail with God and not just for his hand six times Jacob prayed God delivered me from Esau God he's gonna kill me god help me now angel said let me go because daybreak is coming why was that because the angel Lord knew that if they break came the light came that nobody could see God and live but Jacob wanted to see his face that's why the generation of Jacob knowledge seeks the Lord all night I won't let you go until you bless me but he seeks his face relationship and when I get that today you see it's time for us to grow up what we know is that this perseverance our prevailing is something that you learn and you grow into in the faith you learn about George Mueller George Mueller and the 1800's was a man who who had about 10,000 orphans that he took care of 2,000 and even get any given time and George Mueller kept the journal of answered prayer he recorded 50,000 answers to prayer and 30,000 of those 50 were answered the same day he prayed them or within the same hour that he prayed them with fifty thousand prayers answered over 60 years of his life he had more than one answer to prayer every single day of his life you see he was raised up to show us the power of prayer and then there was an occasion where God put on his heart to save he wanted to see five friends saved he started praying for the five friends every day it took 18 months for the first friend to give his heart to Christ it took five years for the second one to give his heart to Christ took six years for the third one to give his heart to Christ but the last two he prayed for 36 years for them and wrote in his journal Lord I still claim them for salvation I pray on he would die and not see those last to say but 52 years after he began praying for them they both gave their heart to Christ amen can I tell you I believe that one of the revivals is there are so many spiritual orphans so many people that have been in church raised in church but are away from God can I am tell you that I am praying like George Mueller can I tell you that I'm praying for God to save all of those orphans would you join me in prayer God would you please save come on save every kid that was raised in church that's not living for you God save every adult that was raised right but they're not living for you God would you please say it every spiritual war Fionn in our nation God bring them back to God save our spirits orphans in this country and bring a revival to them we pray in Jesus name in the spirit of your son George Mueller it was a man by the name of John Newton John Newton you might know wrote Amazing Grace it was his mother who when she gave birth to him knew that she had tuberculosis and didn't have long to live his mother taught him the scriptures every day when he could be of the age that he could understand them she prayed every day for his salvation for seven years until she died so after she died then John went to stay with his father who was a slave ship captain he saw evil and he saw abuse and slavery then John himself was made a slave on a slave boat and suffered much abuse as a slave he escaped and then became a slave ship captain like his father many times he almost died at sea several times had severe illnesses but there was again prayin mama who prayed everyday for her son to be saved and after 22 years from the time that she died 22 years later it would be John Newton who finally gave his heart to Christ it would be John Newton that would win William Wilberforce who would change slavery in the Great Britain it was John Newton who became an Anglican priest and won many people to God John Newton that would write Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now I was blind but now I'm see I'm here to tell you something that I'm praying a second thing I'm praying today in declaring in the earth that God will fulfill the divine destiny of every backslidden child that has known the ways of God that has been in Sunday school that God will bring a revival and will bring John Newton's to the forefront they may be in rock music they may be in entertainment they may be in sports they may be in some business field on Wall Street but I'm praying pray with me right now God in the name of Jesus may you bring the divine destiny of kids have been praying over of musicians that have been praying over from birth God that they would serve you got me a bring a revival and bring divine destiny the destiny that God has to revive our nation it's such a time as this may be me more Kanye West convert in India a donor M Judson prayed for seven years before he saw his first convert in Burma missionary William Morrison prayed for seven years before he saw his first convert in China Robert Moffett prayed for seven years before he saw his first convert in Africa missionary Roberts prayed for seven years before he saw his first convert into Congo can I tell you that nations may be the hardest to move but can I tell you that if we will persevere in prayer [Music] I'm saying God raise up raise up mature believers God will persevere in prayer I'm praying for the conversion of our nation wants to give I'm praying for God to convert America once again I'm praying for God to get a hold of us once I can oh yes how long how long did Moses keep his hands up at at the battle with the Amalekites for Israel to prevail as long as it took how long did Joshua raise up his javelin and AI and he held up as long and it took for the battle to be won how long did Elijah pray for it to rain as long as it took for the rain to come how long did she is pray in the Garden of Gethsemane as long as it took to say not my will but your will be done I'm here to tell you how long did he say tarry in Jerusalem until you be endued with power he said tarry until you be endued with power I'm here to tell you perseverance I'm here to tell you that prevailing with God it's not for wimps I'm talking about prevailing with God means that you believe God answers prayer it believes you and me do you believe it's promised it means that you're gonna stand in the cap and you're gonna pray and I want to pray right now for our nation would you join me right now Father in the name of Jesus come on everybody pray God confirm our nation God confirm our nation God confer our nation God convert America God convert America can't save America God save America save America can reconcile America deliver America card but the love of God in American streets once again gone I pray your power we come and the God you and save America once again the Lord may we persevere in prayer may we persevere in prayer God may be persevered prayer may we understand that Saratov the struggle Israel the struggle but we are called to contend with God we are called to bring your kingdom to this earth and we bring your your kingdom come and your will be done in earth as it is in heaven we prayed in the name of the
