hi welcome to garage door whether she'll calm there's a little video we put together to show you some of the bottom seal kits that we that we carry these are for groj doors but could theoretically be used on just about anything we have used things of this nature on other type things sliding doors we've used them on as well but this is one of the more common kits that we carry carry this on our trucks this is a PVC retainer the key here is the width we have this in various widths for various thickness doors so that's one of the first things you want to check out if you're going to go to something like this how thick your door is and then by the appropriate kit this kit here is for a 1 to 3 quarter or 2 inch thick door comes with a 4 inch wide weather seal that basically you just install the retainer on the bottom of the door we generally remove the existing retainer that's on the door replace it with this we can screw up through the bottom here and in through the back leg this goes on the inside of the door here this is the inside the door goes like this gives you a great seal with that four-inch weather seal there we use these when you find that you have weather seal that is no longer made on the door or if the weather seal that is available for the door is not going to be wide enough and give you a good enough seal we sell the retainer separately and we sell a wide variety of weather seals separately for our retainer so you can you can make one of these up these kits up yourself you can buy the retainer that's appropriate for your door and then the weather seal to match however you want to do it we have specialty seals and we have them these in three four six inch wide and a bunch of different varieties now our kits then here's one that has an aluminum retainer on it for a 1 and 3/8 thick door same weather seal for inch thick same principle screw it up through the bottom screw it on the inside of the door slide the weather sealing here's a kit we have that utilizes a flat retainer this this retainers about an inch and three-quarter inch and three-eighths screwed on the bottom of the door up through the bottom weather seals slid in great for wood doors this is also great for things that slide other types of things that go up and down that you want to get a seal on doesn't just this we use this a lot on things other than garage doors quarter-inch weather seals tee weather seals slides right into the into the retainer here's one that's a little bit more but we'll call it more of a specific or a special seal Wayne Dalton has a one-inch thick door and trying to find whether seal for it is tough there's nobody that makes an after seal market an aftermarket weather seal so what we do is we replace the retainer on the wind out in one-inch thick doors with this this is a PVC retainer 1 inches wide at the bottom has a single groove for a quarter inch wide weather seal on the bottom then we just slide in this one and a half inch bulb seal gives you a great seal it's going to accommodate a lot of imperfections in the floor as well so when you when you find that your Wayne Dalton one-inch thick door weather seal on it isn't available and you know you can't find it anywhere this is the option this is a good option just replace the retainer slide we're sealing we have other types of kits that have different styles of retainers and different styles of weather seals together in our category graduate or weather seal kits so check those out thanks for watching you
