We Finished PLANTING!!!! Episode 12.

I don't have time for such oh boy why can't you just work that's the supposably good cuz he's tired sick of the fuzzy thing down in the shop all the time so look at all it is now well I had a little situation already this morning might have forgotten to put the jack underneath the bigger hips when I fold away what we're at home we'll just take the skid loader pop that up just send it [Music] Melik I probably should wash hold on don't talk with your mouth full truck jeez hammer time [Music] so this is a tractor that was on the 64 foot digger offspring they have now unhooked it I need to set up the auto steer for the guys and the hydraulic remote speed but we are using this because these guys are heading to the field wet was completely flat last season and there's a ton of residue left over and it's gonna be a mess so we're gonna take the sulfur the RTS I think is what the model name is I'm not sure and basically hopefully that this will cut up some trash then there also I think bringing a digger out there to try to maybe do something I don't know that's my understandings I'm just here to get this going and then get back in that tractor and do my job and end this three hours of sleep a night thing last night really it was terrible gosh that was terrible got home at 2:00 a.m. is up at 5:50 do the math it's not a pretty number I'm now actually started just not keeping track because it's better that way timers flowchart all right Matt set it's all furnace set so auto steer should be ready for Randi I'll give you a little closer shot on what the sulfur here looks like so you know I had some people ask what it actually looks like basically it's just got concave this here that throw the dirt at an angle or these come along at an angle and this one throws dirt to that one that one throws dirt back and so on and so forth and then these wavy blades here kind of level off the ridges that the front ones make but we really like this I know they're they have another Salford model that has nothing but the wavy blades for what we use it for it's just not aggressive enough for our operation I know a lot of guys that do more of a minimal tool will have just the wavy blades all the way across and it just more or less cuts up the trash doesn't really get it to black this will get it a little more blacker if you want a little more black dirt up on top and it levels off the ground a lot better if you're out in the tillage stuff so let's end this 2020 plant and the reason that we've been pushing so hard is because it's going to rain tomorrow and if I wouldn't be doing these horrible horrible shifts we wouldn't get it done and then get a half into rain now you're another half a week at least late late or not that we're late yet but later and once you're gone and things are going so good why would you quit keep going [Music] so my day is gonna be starting about a half a mile away from the farm 130 acres there then five who dealt three and a half miles down the road from that one to the east we'll be planting about a hundred and twenty ish acres and then about ten and a half for twelve miles east of the farm is my final destination where them guys will be going in to set in the field up getting until ready to go this morning but they're running around moving trucks around for me so that the planter catches up hopefully [Music] [Applause] [Music] so I have currently planted a few of the three farms I'm supposed to do today and I am now in round on my 12-mile adventure to the east from the farm and so far so good something bad really have to happen I shouldn't say that don't say that nothing bad is gonna happen 4:30 now takes me roughly three and a half four hours to plant a quarter by 8:30 I technically should be done but we're gonna go with back on the yard at 10:00 let's go to the 10 o'clock [Music] [Applause] [Music] so if you guys want to be technical we will still have one eighty and thirty acres in Slough bottom that are not planted but we say that we're done because we don't know if or when we're gonna get those two farms planted because the one is a bowl but just it drowns out the minute you get two inch rain so we try to get later in the season before we planted plant super early maturity bean so that you try to cut out some potential rain showers that will drown it out that eighty we deal with water table issue terrible there it's terribly high water table especially with all the rain events that we had after last year it's just been really wet maybe the quad tracked off their last summer sprayer and yeah it wasn't wasn't pretty but anyways we basically say we're done because we don't know if or when we're gonna get to them I hope we all hope we're farming the farm not to EP stuff but sometimes you got to do what you got to do when you literally can't drive out there is what it is so hopefully it dries up we can get them done maybe in a couple weeks let's hope all the poor little tractor Scott Township that come a hill here yeah so another eight miles and I'll be there [Music] just a reminder guys I know it's a busy season for us farmers and you're not really sitting in the office and doing stuff like that but if you guys are gonna start preparing to get spraying and need chemical don't forget to check out egg chem solutions I don't think you would regret it you can enough check them out their quad track take off from the field and then the group text messaging started happening about ten minutes later saying I west of the highway two miles and the quad tracks overheating they really don't know why it's doing that they've let it cooled off now for a while fired it back up nothing's leaking in the water pump ain't leaking so I don't know if the thermostat stuff or what the deal is but he's gonna try and drive some more and see what happens hopefully nothing bad happens luckily it happened to Randy so he should know what to do getting down bring some seed down to Chet it's gonna be maybe one of the last fields of the year for soybeans here we go yup got a pumper up pumping he's about 15 miles away and I don't know if you guys can see the road ditch but yesterday the wind was so terrible that it blew a lot of the trash off the fields and into the road ditch so here it isn't so bad but it's 2 or 3 feet deep on some ditches so that'll be the next few days is a project before the beam emerges is to go and burn off all the edges of the field fence lines to make it look all pretty again area actually is for more than Curt eNOS the being will not come up through 2 foot of deep trash so you got to do it and I'll also plug up a road niche year after year of that happening and then the water will not flow in a direction that it's supposed to so we're gonna be burning how come this is so close to me know which button is which this isn't working uh-huh don't ever try to do that at home kids okay throttle oh I almost forgot the pin safety first safety it's my first day gonna check for some depth and seed placement nope yeah I wrecked that one chicken you need rain why can't I find them perfect I'm gonna go creepin on the neighbor he's got a Kinsey with a big ol their crops it's more of a headache not the plant than it is to plant because then you deal with weeds all summer long and long story short it's just it's we're not farmers to collect an insurance it decided to puke on the way home and not in the field and that we got done which is great but we're gonna have to look into that problem I don't know what it is if it's a thermostat water pump dad I
