We Are Back...Sprayed 1500 Acres!! That's Cute!

brother and i had bought [Music] it's leaving to its new home although it's only a few miles down the road to the east of us so we'll have our memories once again something more that i never thought would be be selling it's going to be leaving see you blackie [Music] [Music] well welcome back everybody thanks for tuning in i appreciate it obviously you guys know that uh nicole passed away so this is the first day back to work and i'm just glad that i get to run a sprayer today let's just say that but we'll be spraying here for the next little bit keep our minds off of things hopefully stay busy so today i'm spraying corn eric's finishing first pass soybeans so all last week while i was planning funeral and dealing with life unexpected chemical flow i wonder where that's going are we good are we good i think we're good it's concerning anyways eric was spraying first pass soybeans eric and randy and me and dad weren't really around last week too much now we're going to hit it hard because it's time to get corn sprayed it's getting to the height that we need it to be we'll spray that once and hopefully that's it for the year on corn and the end of june we'll have to do second pass soybeans post-emerge spraying so why are you bouncing oh yeah i remember i can't leave that hydraulic valve on because they like to seep her up a little bit on the old used animal this thing didn't get any smoother ride and let me tell you it's ridiculous so i'm gonna put you guys down for a little bit because it's my first field and i'm not gonna hold one camera and go around the edge so we'll check back in a little bit so some different things from last year got rtk now so auto steer seems to be working a little better except for where the planter on side hills kind of drug off for the line and so then i have to take over and manually steer which quite honestly is almost as easy as auto steering so that's the major difference for this rig otherwise it's the same sprayer same nozzles and everything and it seems to be working just fine i haven't had even one glitch that's that sounds great when you pull stuff out go to the first field and nothing breaks or everything works when you plug it in i'll take it all right time for load number two of the day getting the uh tank level right now so that we know how many gallons we have on board and how much we need to add being it's such a big tank this one ain't like the demo sprayer that we're using with that flow meter so we got to do it the old-fashioned way it works it's just not as convenient eric of course gets spoiled that guy so we got all our bags of ams in there that is to condition the water so we try to get that in there get the sprayer at least half full before we start putting any chemicals in so that the chemical when it hits the hard water doesn't bind up and not work properly so once we get that in there he'll start pumping in the ground up lotus hydrate plus few other chemicals so we actually picked up most of the chemicals we're spraying from eggchem solutions if you guys want to check them out their link is always in our description below they are a channel sponsor but they have any idea what you're doing here well there's a couple of levers around here that i know that's concerning i'd say now all our chemicals are in we're just waiting to get to 225 gallons we're just south of the farm right now and i can see the other water trailer sitting by the shed there you must be reloading some chemical or ams or something so dad's tending with our stainless steel tanker trailer randy's using the curtain side trailer for soybeans getting closer yeah now he's going to blow air through this line clean it out so it's nice and light there it comes yep probably should have the gloves on good to go well that's no good buddy what's wrong with you my first nozzle body of the season and i never even hit anything time to fix this corn is looking really nice pretty much knee-high we got lots of uh lamb's quarter this year which is uh not something i commonly see as much as there is out here normally it's water hemp and i have seen some of that but mostly lamb's quarter that's easy to kill though but the corns looking good we need rain no doubt about it it's gonna be next 10 days all in the 90s going to dry stuff up quick yeah you keep a bag of these with you it's ain't an uncommon issue [Music] [Music] nothing to it just a five minute repair should be good now i don't know it must have happened last season or something and she just finally decided to let loose it cracks right there i don't know back at it it's like uh no more leaky leak oh i had to stop by dad's house give me a pulled pork sandwich look at that didn't bring a lunch today and think i'd be at it [Music] [Music] [Music] i can't believe that the some of these beans are just coming yeah i know i thought they got a rain out here earlier but well we need to kill some thistle though put the fence real boom on see that fencer that's what it's for we should get rid of that make sure it's in the range right direction was that the dnr that put that in there it is like we don't want to get into that next subject i appreciate you handling the big black hole doing all the work today [Music] okay we're mixing up the last last load for beans first pass first post merge we are at probably the farthest field from the farm here once i'm done i'll go back rinse out start helping chet with corn post merch everyone needs one of those that is so nice the top number is what i had left bottom number is what we are now putting in we're going to do about 1150 gallons in this mix on top of what was already in the tank that will finish out this last field also everyone needs an inductor on the sprayer we always use that for our dry ms and whatever small uh low rate chemicals like in this instance clutterdem corn killer volunteer corn killer that is a necessity and this new fill flow meter or fill meter is a huge bonus i'm loving it we don't have to worry about how we park as much you don't have to be level you just hook up trust that and it has been dead on every time kill that corn i don't know why we're killing seven bush seven dollar bushel corn but that's what the chemist prescribed can you see me i dumped in about 153 pounds of dry ams that's our water conditioner we have a lot of hard water at the farm this helps so that the chemical sticks or not sticks but it helps the water flow onto the plants onto the weeds better is my understanding that maybe made me sound dumb but with our hard water at the farm this is a necessity everything's a necessity today especially ac the other awesome part about this inductor is it's got a jug rinser on the side so when i dump these out you tip them upside down pull the trigger and the wand rinses the jug so that little nozzle that sticks up you pull this trigger sends water through that that's what i was rinsing the jug with very very slick we are done with the chemical inductor i leave this valve open that allows water out of the solution tank to circulate through that tube because i just sent a bunch of stuff to there i wanted to get all the i want it all to get back to the tank so i'll let that circulate for a while we got a lot going on we're back we're back all right i'm gonna go help randy i plumbed a a hose like a little garden hose into the trailer but nope we can't use that i'll use it [Music] okay we changed the load a little bit we're gonna go up to 1200 gallons i'm adding 1200 gallons this load not sure if you can see that but we got one two inch pump running at 130 540 gallons a minute so when we're done when we're getting close to being done we usually shut off about 15 gallons early that way when we blow the chemical out of the hose with air it gets us up to the amount we need [Music] well update tractor ac is not keeping up with the heat that thing thinks it's 109 degrees outside i don't think it's quite that bad but it's getting hot in here i'm tempted to just drive down into that pond that would be cooler what do you think girl little t-track gonna make it out of the pond probably won't even make it to the pond i think i'm calling it a night did 870 acres today 10 000 gallons put through this sprayer today and we kind of ran out of water got one water trailer heading to town to pick some water up for the morning is our groundwater tank ain't keeping up i need to put fuel on had something really weird code blue in there saying high fuel temp really hot i've never seen that code before sure it can't be good certainly can't be good [Music] stupid water hemp grows everywhere okay guys i think that's it for this video eric did like 600 acres i think he's getting
