this is the elegant Oxford with your host and Preston sotto when I first started shining shoes I didn't have the money to purchase quality dress shoes or even choux creams and waxes like Saphir in the meantime I learned to shine shoes using inexpensive projects like Kiwi that I would buy in my local Walmart since I wholeheartedly believe that shining your shoes is vital to success I want to stress that you can always look your best beyond the budget there's no excuse not to have your shoes shined in this video I will demonstrate a budget shoe shine so you can see that it's totally possible to make a pair of shoes look great and then I will shine the other shoe using Polly's shoe cream so you can see the difference have a job interview coming up shine your shoes a wedding a funeral a special occasion and shine your shoes and always look your best let's get started I started by using the saddle soap senseof is available and I use it to clean the shoe and get any dirt it may have off I then applied the Kiwi leather lotion it smells like strong classic Old Spice it has a good consistency and seems to be doing its job when brushing I noticed the lotion didn't shine as well as it would have liked but it's sufficient for what I need here now it's time to apply the Kiwi wax if you've used Kiwi before you know it doesn't smell very good its petroleum based and you can tell just by digging it with [Music] now it's time for the mirror shine I've never had a problem getting a mirror shine using Kiwi before although I can never get that true glass look still for what it costs these shoes look presentable and ready to wear people will still notice your shoes this way and you'll make a great impression now for the other pair I started by using severe leather lotion it's very similar to renovate or and hydrates really well you when brushing I noticed a more consistent shine over the QE leather lotion [Music] Saphir wax is awesome it mirror shines really easily and brushes to a high shine I cut my mirror shine time in half with this it also smells really great to boot you can tell the difference just from using it it's definitely not as dry and always creates that black mirror look I had a guy stopped me on the street the other day and said I love that glass toe I had never heard it called that but maybe I'll start using it you can you see me waiting you can see the difference here the key we shine was great the shoes looked fine in the mirror shine came through well enough but the Saffir is on a different level completely investing in high quality creams and waxes is worth it in the long run your shoes will look better and you'll achieve great results faster the pair that received the Saffir looks glassy or overall in much more impressive [Music] [Music] remember not having a lot of money is no excuse not to look your best if all you can afford is Kiwi I prefer you use that than nothing at all if you want to get serious with your shines and protect your dress shoes Saphir is the best in the world thank you so much for watching if you've enjoyed this video please like subscribe and share you can find me on Instagram and Facebook at the elegant Oxford links to my pages are in the description of this video remember always put your best foot forward the small details matter most so don't forget to hashtag shine your shoes see you next time

Great video, even got a bit of ASMR vibe in the beginning, very relaxing.

One thing to note about Kiwi Parade Gloss: it dries out leather quite bad, I've noticed it causes micro-cracking if used on shoes, the silicone in it is not good for the leather. It's really something I'd only put on beater shoes for extra shine.

However, another thing I noticed about parade gloss it that it waterproofs far better than Saphir medallion d'or, so there is that. I've used parade gloss on my shell cordovan Alden boots that I use as beaters for winter snow days (I don't care for Alden chunky lasts, but shell is very durable and still looks great).
