welcome to Zelda randomizer Link to the Past this is the 2023 Christmas edition I haven't done a rando run in a while and uh I was just thinking about it I was like I should do this so we have the tracker up for the items which will be updated automatically which took me a little while to figure out so we're going to get that 10 arrows baby I have my amoretto here I got my fruity juice um it is a Christmas and Thanksgiving tradition to have amoretto for [Music] me there's a good chance that I will not be finishing this tonight but there is a good chance I will be a hero as you can read right there so I think my settings are basically standard but I only need six crystals to kill Ganon um I did Shuffle enemies though so there that could be a problem and I don't start with a sword look at this stalos on the throne so yeah um hopefully enemy shuffling is going to work out just great I think it'll be fine six crystals to kill Ganon six crystals to enter ganon's Tower so I'm going to be [Music] stuff so yeah my plan is to just get as much of this stuff as possible uh kakaro is probably I mean I've only done a couple randomizer runs so I'm not like efficient at this many of you know I'm not exactly a speedrunner but I've played this game a lot and there's a couple spots with um worth checking out early heart piece 20 rupees heart piece whoa gloves wait what level of gloves are those is that level one or two glove that's just the first okay first level oh it's Progressive I I see I gotta so you can't just get another one some extra bomb full ass heart a shield I'll take it right we we'll get to it we'll get to it uh right now though I am you know a little worried I only have one bomb one [Music] bomb this game one of the reasons I wanted to play this a one one of the reasons I want to play this is because it's a very important Christmas game for me but I'm not 100% sure if I got it on [Music] Christmas I just don't remember what was the release date of this game cuz I think I got it in when did I get it so this is ' 92 but April 92 there's a chance I got it earlier than Christmas oh God I thought it was Super Mario World well that one's the big one yeah but we already played Mario world is that Santa game from earlier so yeah I don't know if I got this for Christmas but I associate the game this and a lot of other games with Christmas and I mean this is a game I just just replayed endlessly anyway so getting um getting older and then finding out that there are new ways to play the game it's quite a thing oh I didn't need to go through [Music] there there's Wiz robes in here great [Music] okay this is where we have to go there's some good stuff here and the lantern makes this [Music] possible love this music I mean if you played only breath of the Wild wild and tears of the Kingdom you oh god really this many ene oh my God you would uh recognize this music because it was repurposed for that game in a very interesting way oh the mirror dog can't progress without a key too bad I can't set the mummy on fire yep that's the end of uh down here and I need the bomb anyway [Music] so all right we're done this is still my favorite Zelda game I think like I have a huge affinity for Ocarina obviously the newer games I enjoy for different reasons but I'm I'm pretty sure yeah I'm almost positive this is still my favorite [Music] Zelda guess you could just do that how does Link Between Worlds rank only play it once I liked [Music] it uh any change in your feelings towards tear of the Kingdom since playing it I'm going to say yes because there's almost no way that [Music] game um stays as as good because there's it for me a game like that and breath of the wild are not particularly replayable I loved it I'm glad for the experience it might be my game of the year but I can't see myself replaying it like I would this which is a shame too because that open world formula for Zelda I mean it's amazing when it's working and when it's new so but yeah I loved it I loved it at the time it's a different kind of Zelda game I've I've said this before there's 3D Zelda games there's 2D Zelda games and there's open world Zelda games so I kind of categorized them all differently at this point but um I knew that was going to happen that's one of the reasons why when I was playing it I just soaked it all in and loved every minute of it well mostly every minute but I knew that much like breath of the wild like I was like breath of the wild is the best shit so fuck good and it is it's a great game but you know upon reflection it's not it's useful it goes well with Link's colors Link's current outfit the fierce deity link outfit is nice with this Shield that I will will give you I will [Music] concede I like the shield from the links Awakening manual and I like the starting shield in Majora's Mask those are my probably two favorite shields in zeld there's some good ones in breath of the wild and tears of the Kingdom but if we're talking about classic zeldas I like those two [Music] also the one with the crucifix of Christ on it since it is [Music] Christmas there were some weird Christian references in the original [Music] Zelda which to me is just so like bizarre looking back but it was just so normal I remember as a kid as someone that grew up going to like Catholic school and shit I was like oh it's Jesus why is Jesus in Hyrule and I was like am I the main character Mario's from New York link has a Jesus cross on his [Music] [Music] shield I remember one time my parents took me to Kmart and we bought the Mario and and Zelda uh sheets for for uh a bed and I had those for a long time that's my whole story that's the whole story I don't have any more of the story than [Music] that but Kmart was a shit good friends in life and I do have family and for me it's just not what used to be so it's a little sadder than it you know because when you remember some of the good times yeah obviously things are not that anymore but that's also just getting older period like I'm not getting another Link to the Past for the first time you know what I mean so for me it's kind of just another day it's a little wistful but I find ways to celebrate and enjoy and doing these streams is is tremendously helpful and it's it's a lot of fun so yeah I'm doing I'm doing okay I'm not going to let it like be a negative and I actually do still like do holiday [Music] shit but I would also be lying if I said I don't want people to worry about me that's what the the what must I do meme uh that's where that came from because I I noticed I listen I'm not here I'm not here to make the chat my therapist I'm not here to make your day a little bit worse and I'm definitely not here for sympathy once in a while I may tell you something negative that's going on it happens it's life and I apologize if that upsets you in any way but I'm also not looking for chat members to literally go what must I do like I don't need that it's fine I'm an adult and I also have to just kind of go through life as such so um yeah I try not to to go into that stuff because you're here to get rid of life in a way you're here to laugh a little bit you're here to watch some video games you're here to hear some stupid Mr dink bits and truthfully that's what I'm here for too because if it turned into a big like mop Fest why the arrows in ganon's Tower and then there's potential I have to do like the bomb thing and go do another dungeon but the good news is this there's a lot of treasure chests in ganon's Tower and in order to access ganon's Tower I just need one more Crystal so that means I can do the swamp Palace I could do ice palace and that's it one of those two so I would imagine there's like another hour to hour and a half left of this so that'll be tomorrow more than likely and if it's not tomorrow it'll be Wednesday thank you for watching thank you for celebrating Christmas with me in anyway um I really had
