@Vice Grip Garage, Indy track & giving back!

top of the morning to you you guys we're on a really fun adventure today we are in alabama at barbara motorsports park and my buddy derek from vice grip garage invited us out and i say us it's actually me and heidi who shoots amazing photos america's meanest cars you gotta follow all of her stuff she's amazing erin could not come with me this weekend so she is here to shoot some awesome photos we are going to go drive these cars we've got the vanishing paint challenger and the freedom hawk from the hooptie world championship and we are going to be doing a really special event it's for a cause called addy's army and it is for kiddos that are special needs so we are going to get kids in these cars and drive them around the course and it is going to be an awesome day i'm so excited well look it's a gto we are about to unload the cars but the drivers meeting is coming up and so i don't know what will happen first but it's going to be an adventure driver's meeting is assembling we're all moving in [Music] so when are open headers ever a bad idea [Music] no wipers okay so i might have needed more coffee today are you because i just showed you a little bitty clip of what was going to be an awesome shot of the cars being unloaded from the trailer because that's done and i had the phone just leaned up against that their trash can and it was going to be a really cool shot but it didn't work so sorry sorry about it but heidi took pictures and oh good i'm gonna roll her videos right now you're gonna love them [Music] [Music] [Music] y'all i just found something out derrick put my dang old name on the car with his name and alex's name and this is so exciting official pilot oh my gosh i just can't take it this day it's too good that's how i'm uh getting her signature basically this is how you're getting my signature gotta be fun it's gonna be so fun i like the patina that your name has yeah it's got a real nice patina to it wait where's alex's signature wear it off it weared off it was gold so i signed in blue yeah you guys did like opposites so we're lined up to do a parade lap but the window is up on the car and the switches don't work so power windows he's getting ready to do a little custom chopper maybe hot wire them or get electrocuted one of them too let's see what happens nothing can't wait that's not good that was something i think it was a short and fuel pumps like really bro yeah i want you to swing on into this little seat here this thing yeah my leg [Music] he put a special scene in here for me and he went to pull it off the trailer and he was like yeah emily i can't fit in there so i should have put the seat in after i got it on the trailer but i did not so after i put the seat in in the shop i was like great can't move it so jessica didn't pull it on the trailer for us she did actually she can't do everything i figured so oh not that one sparkage not that one not that one what about these nothing well i don't i don't know how to do digitals bugger we got a google webbit is that what we got to do what did this even did it slide or rotate what was that [Music] i asked derek if the deck lid latched and he said yes let me go get the latch so thanks bud it's perfect i love it it's great well you guys the car is cranked up we're gonna take a parade lap it's gonna be awesome [Music] yeah yes sir i love it [Music] all right the helmet is on the safety gear is in place let's do a parade laugh check this crack out i'll check back after this okay y'all that was awesome we just took supposed to be two laps i took three because i didn't pit when i was supposed to uh the track is very wet and it feels sketchy i was testing out the brakes around the corners versus like downshifting i don't know what's best i'm not a pro at this as you all know i'm like learning as i go um overall the car did awesome though so i'm i'm feeling really good about it i'm really excited to get some kiddos in there it's loud this track is beautiful oh the sunshine hello that feels amazing and so overall i love this because it's extremely low stress it's just fun cars a beautiful track but it is wet so it's a little intimidating but right now derek's getting his car rigged up with cameras i'm going to do the same on this one so that you guys have gopro footage to oogle over to document this awesome day [Music] that testless that is austin riley he is an incredible young man who i have an insane amount of respect for we got to meet him that day and learn his story which is absolutely incredible the young man has autism but that is not stopping his racing dreams even being as young as he is he was one of the first people with autism in the world to road race a car in a nationally sanctioned series and dude has winds after winds after wins i encourage you to visit his website and learn about all that he's accomplished he's got huge dreams and i believe he is extremely capable of achieving them if you're a company that's looking to support a race team my gosh check them out because he would be so deserving of some funding to continue his racing program and watching him drive little kids around that had autism and looking to him for inspiration gosh that was incredible so honored to have met you austin good news he got my window down yay so now i'll have some airflow and um it's about time to rock and roll in this thing there are already people giving rides to the children and the parents in the drivers meeting they said parents are welcome to take rides too which is really really sweet because that's fun for them you know not just for the kids for the parents and they deserve so much more than that oh my gosh so cool so thankful to be here [Music] okie dokie we have done as much preparation as we know to do i think we're gonna go line up and get some kids in the car and give them some cool experiences there have been crashes out there so we are going to take it very easy and just let let the cool i am going to take it very easy i'm fired up emily does emily takes very few risks so and and it's really nice that i've got kids to be my excuse because even if i was out there by myself i would probably be a pansy too it's not my car i don't want to mess anything up i don't want to mess up the track or put muddy tracks on it well we can get some nice safe laps down get used to the trash and then blue buttons there you just gotta click it click it so excited all right let's load some kiddos out all right y'all time to do this i had to tell everybody to be real careful hi gonna get loud i got them really cold in here you did uh instead of hot really that's surprising wow she's loud isn't she uh-huh how awesome i'm so glad you went with me that was so fun oh yes the engine noise ridiculous and i'm driving like a granny and it's still fun yeah my brakes are hot are they yeah we gonna take freedom hog for a little flight wow that was so fun okay good stuff so derek said something happened with the challenger so let's go check it out so you found the link yeah i was pretty certain i didn't have any oil clear lines in the back of the car right so that's a really fixable leak yeah that's that's like great do you want a mask it's hilarious dude this is rust treatment for the trunk i was gonna say it's kind of lubrication i mean side to side yeah i like it most people would say just use the baby blanket to clean it up but this keeps the rattles down on the truck yeah yeah this is a wonderful problem to have i'm so glad it happened it must have been my favorite that could have been bad news oh yeah on the track already then crisis cleanup on aisle seven no big deal we're cracking ourselves up well you were you're using a chick-fil-a bag i was i mean guys i've been digging in the trash she was finding that place well she really hasn't we ain't worried about it this is pretty much done how pretty that color was back in the day i love that color that's the color i want to paint [Music] you're like fast forward 28 days later we're almost there we should look underneath and see if there's drips safety squints i actually didn't know this truck was so rusty kill right now yeah you bought a piece of junk all right y'all we are taking a sweet little lunch break it was awesome they gave us food vouchers for the people that are volunteering so huge thanks to chick-fil-a freaking awesome we're so happy derek says it's yummy so i'm gonna consume some [Music] chicken or fuel situation oh oh there's a yeah el nano she's getting a little light in the fuel department i think i need some fuel man this weather has just been awesome today when we were standing in line getting lunch it started sprinkling on us but then it just cleared up and it's gorgeous the temperature is primo we're so happy it's awesome [Music] perfect a lot more gas from the 90s that'll work nice and marinated it's got a couple octanes left maybe that's all we need reinstalling the uh locking mechanism poverty crew this guy [Music] well y'all we really want the weather to hold out a little bit longer because we just got word that the track could go hot again but it just started raining we were going to take the cars out again i was going to get to drive boys around in the car and dude i mean i'm very thankful that we got to take all the kids for rides and the weather held out but it just started raining again shoot man but i'm just gonna stand here in the rain and talk to y'all we just finished a whole indoor like activity where we got to hear a bunch of amazing stories and getting raindrops in my eye and we want to give a huge shout out to our friends at wire care because they sent us with a check of a thousand dollars to donate to these guys and buy script garage derek jessica gave two grand so super awesome i wish i'd been prepared aaron and i are gonna have to do something as well for them just absolutely awesome to be here and now we're totally getting rained on so it's gonna be time to load the cars up guess what y'all the rain cleared and we freaking jumped in the car derrick has taken both his kids around all three yep all three of the kids and jessica and then he's like come on emily let's go for a round so we're gonna go go around the track now if i can speak this is my first time riding in the vanishing paint challenger and it's gonna be sketchy it's gonna be sketchy this track is very wet and you're not gonna be easy on i already know you're gonna be crazy well just gonna send it one of those moments i feel probably it feels so weird with nothing up here i know that's like this now i'm like where's the hardest [Music] you're crazy what can i hold on to there's not much no this is where the tesla lost it oh my god [Music] it's like i want to see we have to remain intact oh yeah okay we won't crash uh [Music] so much water fun right if my brain wasn't like processing the danger man this car handles like oh well really well real well surprisingly there's not a wrought like role in it no and it tracks i love her oh i know she's so good painting on that bit that that's like really bro yeah crazy [Music] now we can't see nothing dear patty did you pee a little no i didn't pee a little but i was thinking that i'm [Music] that's probably only like a buck twenty yeah this is you're really [Music] [Music] this bed guy's like what's happening you're making him go faster nice little apex there dude that was badass this car is gnarly right i love her so these tires are phenomenal yeah the braking and the acceleration is surprising like when you're on the brakes i'm thinking oh yeah we gotta do this again and you gotta wheel this thing absolutely it's surprising how easy of a car it is to drive i feel like anybody can get in this and just yeah driver it is so rad leave a little weather so the um freedom hawks back over there if you want to swing her around in there for some photos freaking red dude so badass so good and we didn't die i'm really thankful that you didn't make us die no i wouldn't you know [Music] we're there parked valet where's the valet guy he went away scared did you have fun yo knucklehead seriously [Laughter] [Music] did you look painful oh that was a lot of fun that was freaking a legendary and so scary with the track as wet as it was i was like thinking that it's not advised things were going to you're a great driver these tires tracked so beautifully this car handles surprisingly well it's weird isn't it like you just don't expect it i can't wait to drive it someday this giant wheel helps too it's like the captain it's pretty big it's just this that's all you have to do [Music] it's kind of true with all that water out there too there was one little moment we came through the dog legs she got a little i was like there we are but we didn't die so it was good yeah live to see another day oh it's fine we definitely got to come back here when it's like hot and dry we do and bring roxy and bring roxy or zen is super fun out there you both can ride them yeah yeah be amazing thank you so much for the invite oh absolutely so special absolutely this was a blast oh my gosh so amazing okay now we're going to take some cool pictures of the cars [Music] [Music] boys [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] this is insane we decided to drop in the museum that's on the property barbara vintage museum and it is the largest collection of motorcycles that exists in the world and it's all these levels there's cars i mean it is insane really awesome wow are there five floors land speed record holy cow wow how incredible oh look at this this place is amazing i didn't know we were going up this is nutty [Music] look at this holy cow [Music] i could spend a week here and not say everything look at all those motorcycles oh my gosh and it goes on all these floors holy moly that elevator alone is awesome dang look at how far it goes holy moly we're all just in shock goodness gracious so we're just walking through this and we come over to the window and here is the track and it's just wild because like this place is gorgeous and as we're driving the track we have no idea that there's like a beautiful waterfall and gorgeous walking trails and i mean that is so cool yes and put a battery on it usually takes less than an hour it's wild fuel injected that is incredible i bet it weighs more than 750 that's what it says right there a four-stroke v12 that is a cool setup amazing that is such a fun exhibit it's like the pieces are all connected like like a car kit you guys derek and jessica and the boys are heading out that was so much fun they just left us at the hotel um we're gonna go grab some dinner now but wow what an amazing day and huge thanks to derek and jessica for having us out and addie's racers that was amazing to be a part of that event and amazing so so awesome [Music]
