Vault Hunters 1.18 - Trials and Tribulations! - Episode 2

oh okay I can at least do these two and blah blah blah blah blah blah where will I find you oh by the way hi welcome in episode two on the Artemis SMP Vault Hunters 1.18 as you can see I've actually done a little bit of work here and moved my storage in some live streams we even ran a vault or two but now we have a little bit more of a permanent portal look how it's all Blended in there I think it looks really nice we moved our storage up here so that's out of the way and a little bit more organized so now everything is together and we came up with a bit of a block Palette too maybe we'll see but to start this episode off I want to run a vault so let me see if I can find some beetroot a glow squid ink sack and that we should be good to go Yi I made a lighter too well the beetroot was pretty easy now just you I've got some underwater caves here and I've got respiration three let's see if we can find some aha Gib that's one I think I probably want to see if I can find more oh I found more all right having one spear is good enough for now I can head down here again if I need more in the future also apologies if my voice is a little bit croaky or a little bit raspy I got a little bit of a chest infection or something along those lines and it is causing a bit of wheezing uh forgive me if there is any of that in this episode okay there we go Vault Rock number three yeah so I ran one on a stream and we got to level three and then I actually ran one with some other server mates you can see Olivia is online right now we did one on their stream as well and managed to get halfway through level four so we're making some decent progress so I can put away a few things there put away that and I think if I take this elytra off I should be good to go into the Vault let's see if we can get to level five maybe get ourselves hmm what am I after I have two levels in heel and one in Dash as well as one in vain Miner another level In Vein Miner could be nice oh so if you get Fortune it does uh lower the amount mine so I'm not quite gonna go for that yet I don't think or maybe we try and get some speed or strength we'll see how we go but we've got to get in there first so I've got plenty of food I have some water buckets I think we'll take some dirt with us in fact no something that we've been doing is using a lot of bamboo you to trade sticks so I'm going to use these bamboo thatch which is made out of the leaves which are essentially useless otherwise so we have building blocks I have some arrows plenty of storage I think we're good to go let's do it let's do another Vault and see if we can get some good loot okay uh uh yeah it's always a little bit nerve-wracking but we should be fine we'll switch to heels so that we have that available at all times let's do it give that a second to load in properly oh no for a second I thought that was the room that I was going into and I thought it was a x marks a spot room alright so we've got a desert style theme that doesn't look like it even has a spawner on it but it must surely does it's buried in the ground all right let's see if we can get over there and remove it come on oh I forgot that I uh that they could climb up on that chest there okay now I should be safe I could just get access to that please hold still hold still yeah nice oh living chests I'm kind of excited to get started on some mods oh you are fast ow so getting myself some knowledge Essence would be massive can I break it come on beautiful there we go just like that have a quick look down here oh I hear an ambush spawner going off oh that's a little dangerous they swarmed me thankfully I do have respiration 3 now on my helmet so I can chill under the water here a little bit and I also did upgrade to level two of the heel so that means that I'm a little bit better off as far as uh speed with which I can heal alright let's see whether this one is a fizzle it is I do see a creeper in there so we are going to be a little bit careful thankfully the creepers are quite weak so they're dangerous but they're not the end of the world that's a good amount of knowledge Essence very good amount oh and another shocker shell nice phew oh doesn't look like anything that we want so I'm just gonna leave it that's fine that's a standard spawner so we will try and get rid of that one quickly and when I was streaming we actually found a village room two in fact but one of them that we went down into and looted a lot so we got a lot of goodies I need to start storing these away now just a little hint in case some of you haven't tried this you can now pick up something and right click it into the shulker box or even the sacks here and it allows you to quickly store things in so if you remember the kind of loot that you have you could just store it all so I should be able to just store all that in there and anything that I get that's already in there is going to be able to just stack on top of those Stacks all right now I should make note of the direction that I came in so that was the portal we're heading east and west is to get home gotcha an ambush spawner oh nice health potion and nice another health potion as well as another shocker shot that's really good I do like it when they fizzle oh that's a nice one we're having a bit of luck already it's amazing how much more time you spend in an individual room in this version it does seem to be that you take time to search the entire thing at least for now down the line you might rush for particular kinds of rooms but I'm definitely definitely spending as much time as I want inside of these rooms to to get every single chest that I can find so we're gonna yeah do that quickly they're gonna spawn for sure but can I get rid of it I can okay nice Vault Diamond very nice and a mystery box oh no not a mystery box a uh Relic booster pack first one I think the beauty of this is I can start to stack them in these things as well all right anything tucked away that I need to find or do we move on there is a chest up there I knew it a couple actually I'm not going to take the iron I mean copper because it's not really worth it for me right now but that is oh I just said I wasn't going to take it Vault diamonds yes please those are going to be the biggest thing I think as well as the Benny a type for getting myself the knowledge Stars so more of that please I think I'm gonna leave that one for now we could get it on the way back if we wanted to but we're going to move on to the east also while my man is full I should be healing all right another nice looking area up there oh that's a bow and arrow I think this did not disappear so we're going to try and get rid of it break break break break break break break yeah I think it's something like a five percent chance for a skeleton to spawn with a bow this early on and uh we got very unlucky then it fell down hopefully it took some damage oh a motbox very interesting damn we are getting some good stuff uh let's store stuff away real quick what next probably deal with the oh that was close I nearly got knocked off I'm gonna use the bow here I can hear the skeleton but I don't know where he is gotcha okay phew I don't see any oars that I want there so I'm not going to bother going up to that instead we're going for stuff like that and that where did you just spawn oh it's a two round ambush it required two lots of uh spawning coin piles is amazing I don't think we're gonna fight the boss or anything like that so we don't have to worry about the obelisks or another Vault Diamond oh wow what is that Phoenix dust that must be for the afterlife crystals let's put a few things away okay that is a fast creeper what it's interesting how much less exploring you do early on in this but it still seems to be that uh it's well worth it just taking your time going through every little tiny area that you can think that is oh too late one of those over there was an ambush this is fine we're actually doing pretty good I said that and jinxed myself break break break break break break break please oh no we should get fairly decent XP for this though okay so this one over here fizzled out that means I can grab the stuff delicious I can hear the friend break please I did it it's always holding the breath there trying to uh try to get it before it spawn something else another Vault Diamond and a gilded chest scroll oh my oh wow look at all this oh it's so good anything else tucked away maybe not will take a second here to organize our stuff but man we're having some luck there's a couple more things that we can mine in here and then it's almost at the point where we need to start turning back oh I should be able to get that from here come on yes oh my this is so good epic chess but not much in it there's another one down there and one up here now oh don't get stuck in here that was lucky I almost died I do need to get myself a piercing crossbow I think seems to be really great for dealing with large groups like this so that may be on the cards all right let's see if I can get up there or I will get these coin piles while I'm here apparently that that I missed break break please yes gotta try and remember what I had in there I really wish that it still showed like it used to with the uh the picture like this but that's okay it's not the worst thing in the world all right I might try and get this last one down below and then get out so only two rooms looted whereas in the past I would probably find that quite disappointing I'm quite happy with it in this one that was a fizzle which is great I don't have to deal with trying to break it since I don't have aqua affinity Loop this oh another one and there we go that should do for this round in here don't think there's anything else to loot on this one let's head back up check and see whether there was anything simple that we could grab and then we head West so I said I wasn't gonna go for that maybe we go for this one or this one no we did that this one then that was a bit dangerous whoa oh no oh no that was an unfortunate set of circumstances damn we had so much too the potential was there look at all the XP we would have had thousands 914 from killing at least like what 1 700 or so and some stuff from the coin piles as well damn at least we had beginner's Grace and we didn't lose any of the good stuff but that was so many diamonds and so much skill essence or uh knowledge essence it would have got us enough knowledge Essence for sure and we would have been well on our way with the diamonds damn and it's raining it seems fitting well we might do another one but ah first I think we'll do some building so I'm going to uh I'm going to grab a lot of stuff to do with this block palette here so we've got the Walnut we've got a lot of different types of calcite including this which is Kelso lamps and a bunch of the Polish tough bits and pieces which is what I've got here and with that I think we're going to make a ring or an area around that portal that's going to signify the larger idea of the area itself so I might go grab a couple more ink sacks lick my wounds a little bit do some building and I'll bring you back in to run another Vault after we've uh We've made this place look a little bit cooler and got rid of the rain oh it's time to sleep perfect at least that's one of the list oh what a disappointing death oh well let's get some building done okay after a little bit oh let's quickly Escape that after a little bit of building and by a little bit I mean a lot I'm just quickly heading back to spawn because some of my server mates have set up some villagers there that I'm going to take advantage of by grabbing a couple of arrows I just haven't gotten that many from killing skeletons and such I'm gonna try and get in here this is a danger zone uh that will quickly pop through here and use their Villages that they've set up look at this place they've been doing some bits and pieces around here and here's something that I did for them is build a bit of a iron farm that has been working really well oh let's use Dash instead so this is in the spawn chunks which means that uh oh yeah yeah as you can see it is absolutely cranking in fact we may as well craft up some of the stuff just so that we can clear it out since nobody has really the best of uh storage mods at the moment we're kind of living with what we can something else that I've worked out which is really great that they've added here this balance Grid or spread grid if you hold shift it goes to spread you can just put stuff in like that and click the spread and it will organize it out in the best way possible so yeah we're uh we're sitting pretty pretty that's a lot of compressed iron and we've got a little chibi Iron Golem going up around here the spawnies are living here which is a handful of people and if we pop into here you can see they've been working with villagers so I just wanted to come over here and grab a handful of arrows that should do and I may as well spend the rest of my stuff on a few experience bottles I'm keeping experience bottles in my Ender Chest just so that I have them available for when I'm flying around with a lytra but that should do it thank you spawnies for your support I think Abby's AFK but that's okay we can head back now and I can show you what I built so here we are I essentially leveled this area out flattened it completely and then rebuilt it from the ground up if we go into free cam mode here you can see that we now have the portal in the middle somewhat set up paths going between the four access points where the stairs are and our portal in the middle maybe a little bit too much with all this mosification and stuff but I'll uh I'll deal with it over time and one of the things that I actually did was use these frame slabs to get myself some different blocks at the half height which is really nice so this is just a start to Mark out the area that we will be in I'm probably going to flatten the area up on top of here with some dirt at some point and hide all of this and I've got a little bit more detailing to do in here too but for now I want to get back into the vaults and see if I can redeem myself so I should be able to put all of the stuff in the quiver now and a quiver works with a crossbow yeah beautiful so I did manage to make this crossbow it's not the best but it is combined with some stuff from those Fletchers at spawn town oh chicken and so now let's craft ourselves up a new stone or Rock new Vault Rock and hope that it's not something rough okay we should have grabbed a few extras of that so that's fine dirt and sugarcane yep we have one of those we definitely have the dirt we can cook a piece of copper and we just need to find some sugar cane I don't think I have any in these chests thankfully it shouldn't be too hard to find some around this area a couple of those one of those one of those and 20 dirt oh yes we have ourselves a new Vault Crystal and this time I believe this time we'll do it I hope so we'll take this shulker box a sack I think we'll take two and we might also take a couple of potions in fact we might improve those potions a little bit hmm need some glowstone oh I like how it shows you at the top how many seconds perfect now I don't think I'm going to actually turn these into splash potions I just want to have them there in case I'm uh I convince myself otherwise instantly we'll make splash potions okay I think I'm good to go we have our armor on now I have my ax we've got a crossbow which can load up it has piercing three so it will go through a few at the same time we've got plenty of arrows we've got blocks to build with this time we'll be successful I believe oh what am I doing okay cross your fingers folks okay A little bit of lag there as I was coming in but oh dear we are in the vaults let's see what we can get going I don't think I've had this style of room before be careful of any gaps in there so let's explore it's like a lush cave oh dear that is a little laggy but we'll persevere come on ah ah good good good good good good oh no not good that's good though oh oh every single one had a vault diamond and this one has a gilded chest scroll oh my God okay wonderful we do need to heal ourselves up a little bit but that was pretty nice we may as well continue from the top of the room is there anything good over there not that I can see just yet this one is burning out which is lovely we do have a few people online right now though so it is a little bit laggy oh no oh where did you come from okay do need to start organizing our stuff oh we got a mystery box too and do I see anything worth grabbing there oh Larimer worth it now we have an eye donor here so let's get some of these guys across how many do we need six well good thing that thing didn't uh fizzle out a few more please oh goodness me nice uh not so nice please break in time yeah and we'll get rid of nothing it's all pretty good we have wasted a little bit of time in here oh so glad you spawned on a chicken and it sounded like that fizzled so I'm gonna risk it I'm gonna just stand here and do my thing I don't need that book okay that was fine a little bit laggy to start off with I think that it is struggling to load the Vault Dimension when you first come in a little but uh once it's loaded it seems to be fine we're heading east to go out West is the way we're going in okay I can hear stuff fizzling away but I don't know where it is underneath here it does sound like it's underneath there so maybe we have a dungeon any goodies bombing line nice I wonder yeah underneath here interesting and a living chest don't mind if I do oh more larimar very nice it's one thing I need to remember to do is keep my health full while my Mana is full I may as well make the most of having some Mana available oh nice but nothing we quite needed yeah how low do these go okay not too bad oh we do have to be careful of those slimes they can poison but we seem to be having decent luck with the Fizzles so that's all right anything hidden oh nice since we have Dash now I'm actually going to oh that was a little bit high of a dash but it got me up there got me what I needed and I think with that we're going to head on out of this room once again East is the direction I'm gonna have a quick look down this way avoiding holes hmm doesn't look like anything fancy gee those bridges are scary we'll stick to a straight line okay oh a monolith wonder if we'd be able to uh be able to get it in this one that sounds like it's fizzling I love the watercolor in here it's almost Swampy maybe that wasn't a fizzle that was MLG yeah okay things are looking pretty decent we had oh that actually made me jump a mile I was about to say we haven't really run into too many difficult traps or anything like that which is nice we've gotten ourselves a good amount of diamonds and yeah I think things are going well I do like the crossbow okay about half the Vault to go mlgs are working much better right now I wonder if we could find ourselves a couple more monoliths that would be nice maybe we push through a little bit faster and I'll leave the rest that's up top for uh maybe our trip back so once again heading west let's go oh living chests progression stuff is really nice so I'm happy to see those anything that gets as closer to our first mod is wonderful oh okay well it was trapped come here you too oh delicious one thing that's really great is once I have this full I should be able to just stack now it doesn't quite work like that but I can still do the old hold shift and swipe over top of everything and that'll do the trick oh six from one that's incredible very nice not really liking our chances of finding all of the obelisks though and by obelisks of course I mean the new monoliths that's a little confusing but not too bad oh it's funny how little amount of rooms you do loot now or at least at this early stage there's definitely a lot more time spending each one trying to get the most value out of it that you can especially with all of these areas oh that means that we've got enough for another choker box now I did not want to get stuck in the corner with those another fizzle is good and these rooms are surprisingly dense oh come on come on come on come on oh very nice oh where did they spawn hmm oh interesting I wonder if that's a dungeon or whether it's just an area that I couldn't see before use the crossbow since they're all lining themselves up in the middle there that's great uh spawner where's the spawner come on come on oh scary come on three in a bit minutes okay this looks like our last room this is amazing look at all the goodies in here okay trying to be selectful about what I grab because I struggled a little bit with space and I don't really have the time oh I have to to put all of this down and do the thing okay this has just got like every single kind of chest in here oh ornate chest scroll oh very nice I like that uh okay yeah that's probably it yeah yeah let's uh let's not let's not waste any time we don't want to lose what we just got that's a lot of good stuff I'm gonna start heading east no monoliths but that's okay I think at this point it is well worth it just to get out with what we have we've got actually two different types of Chess Scrolls which is so nice those will be fun to use for some storage all right two minutes to spare that's a dub we redeemed ourselves and just snuck your way over into level five so looted 68 chests 26 coin piles killed 104 different mobs that's not bad and you definitely get a lot oh we got two Omega gilded nice very nice where did we kill the drowned I don't remember look at that just over the edge into level five 24 experience in we got ourselves a new skill point which I'm not quite sure what I'm going to spend it on maybe another level in this so that it only costs 20 and it has a shorter cooldown yeah I think we're just going to focus on survivability to start off with but for now this can be used with some wood to make an ornate chest which we may just do right off the bat we got enough wood haha look at that and it has a little bit extra storage which is really nice we also got a gilded yep same sort of recipe also with a little bit of extra space those are really nice I I actually adore the models that they made for this season I think they're so pretty nice we got 28 knowledge Essence four volt diamonds and a bunch of other stuff so let me do a little bit of sorting which is quite easy now thanks to that stuff like that can go in there and let's see what we get from these Fortune three mine oh that's amazing and one not as amazing beautiful okay rally booster packs ah but I think mystery boxes in this version are a lot more powerful so yeah we got one of the worst possible roles from that I believe with the mystery boxes now you can get anything in the gem related items from standard or common rare gems Etc to the unique gems and even pogs so that's really nice and we're looking pretty good we've got ourselves enough here I believe yeah to make all the knowledge shards that we needed so there's that and let's have a look see they are used in conjunction with this so we just need 16 penny type because that is made out of four of those which made out of four of those and eight diamonds we've got five diamonds so we need three more and we just need to find some beniotite cool I'd say we're making some decent progress level five by the second episode do need to sleep and we're amassing a decent little supply of stuff but with that I think we're going to end the episode here we managed to redeem ourselves after the failure of that first Vault we managed to do a lot of building in here and get myself set up at least with the center that I can build around oh hello my friend aha which I will do a little bit more detailing to work out some differences and I don't know make it look a little bit prettier and we
