Using the Hardest Custom Mode Settings in Baldur's Gate 3 Livestream

[Music] [Music] he right hello here a bit earlier than the time I was saying so I have already started this this run about two weeks ago and just came back to it about half an hour ago and as the title of the stream says I am using the custom difficulty mode so do let me know if you don't agree with one of these being like the most difficult as it were so I've stuck anything can be on tactician onto tactician so enemy aggression character Power Enemy loadouts and additional combat mechanics I'm not quite sure what this actually entails because there's no description on the right hand side efficiency bonus is a minus one I've actually sorry I'm rocking the camera I think Hello Lord King Kong 254 I've actually got another playr going where I've put I've basically made it as easy as possible and proficiency bonus at plus4 is absolutely ridiculous so if you got someone with expertise even at level one they've got like a plus 12 for example to that check cuz normally efficiency starts at plus two this would make it plus six and expertise doubles that so I'm putting this at minus one which does make things more random I don't know if it affects enemies I kind of assume that it will enemy Critical Hits yes no death saving throw is what this means in case you didn't know I don't know Tipsy Bowman um I haven't actually tried anything that isn't on a mode apart from my very easy custom mode run I'm doing off stream and no death saving throws means if I turn this on actually makes it easier you become automatically stabilized instead of having death saving throws disable free first strikes so harming a character has got the description there normally would cost you a uh an action to do that but if we turn this if we disable this sorry oh how to put this if you don't turn this on if you surprise an enemy you get an action at the first round of combat if I turn this on I don't get an action maybe assassins do because that's one of the features camp cost multiplier goes from 0.5 to 3 so this should be 120 supplies every time I want a long rest short rest full Hill obviously off uh oh all prices Traders ask for the wees are multiplied by this value all right yeah so multiply by four makes the price go up by quite a lot I love multic classing I I don't really care either way whether this is on or off um because single classes I think are can be just as powerful maybe I will try in single class own I basically accidentally left this one on um always prompt reactions or reactions that comp pause the game will do by default this isn't anything about difficulty that just saves you time potentially I'll look at the reactions menu myself hide NPC Health hide fail perception roles hi hide passive roles and dialogues preview dialogue check difficulty before rolling this is usually off anyway but if you turn this on you can see what the DC will be for each of the choices and also High difficulty class drawing roles so I don't know what I'm aiming for anyway so uh I made a warlock so I haven't made a warlock in a long time and I've always turned well into something else recently another dragon attack we need to get out before it's too late I got to remind myself cuz I haven't played this in like two weeks some Arch F warlock I'm a human so maybe I can use Shields actually that'll be useful and I will have proficiency with glaes and what else is it quarter star every with qu Stars basically Pikes halberts and Spears there we go I'm proficient with an extra skill completely forgotten what I chose oh I've gone for chis checks apparently proficiency doesn't mean as much here they do still show a health bar right you can see up here at the top of the screen now sacrifice cultist it's there of it i' I've kind of think I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing that I've chosen sleep let's just wake this dude up oh wait no I have to push the button don't I uh this one hello aoran and I use my action so I get my action that was one of the choices Victory awaits see I've got no idea how many hit points he's got I reckon it's six definitely less than 12 move come on can't stay idle I don't remember where the US is on my side or not I'll find out soon enough so let's see so proficiency yeah affects the enemies so saving throws will be easier but I'll be worse at them at least the ones I'm proficient at I'll be just as good at the saving throws basic this is kind of a sword changing proficiency makes things a bit more random but if I put my armor class high enough it makes enemies less likely to hit me but it's only effectively a minus one to hit oh immune to sleep are you oh you're a high off right three see I can work out that's that's three damage and if I'm really good at estimating percentages and stuff I could work out maybe how many hit points he's got Victory awaits moving in let's have a look this is single save but it's not like on a modes I my save file W my save file won't delete if I do die but once I save I can't go back yeah yeah the price thing and Supply thing is brutal early game I think I think I'll be okay with the supplies I say maybe too confidently the price is that is going to be annoying I can't um can't say otherwise to that which is why I'm picking everything up that I can adding to where don't to do that right let's see if us is on our side or not if I attack this better not be cursed in Devourer in this room either us will join us or he won't all right go get him time for some bloody work oh stealth successful you ran out of food so often in act three do you know I mean I don't know whether you know you can uh what is it take over is it a the Al song Tavern you can take over the top floor as your base I haven't done it in a while now actually ah yeah right us hates us I am not us must be terminated no us sorry going to bleed you hold not run away oh too many hit points he's got more than 24 hit points yeah I might actually use sleep later does it give more food yeah uh I think you can just pay for food or yeah you can buy stuff for cheap don't waste a step go get some well so much for peace so now I can maybe check oh he's bit too far out of sight I swear all right come on there we are he's got 21 hit points left H right that only works for things that can be slept though uh yeah go through let my name be I will Ascend six damage that's okay I think I might might bit late for hex now anyway but yeah I do know I can sleep him no choice but to keep going lasel might not finish him off but we'll do a decent amount of damage at least properly for long I don't even know if I have charm of frighten nearby enemies H maybe could have chosen that tried that what's in here breathe deep H after the de see 27 hit points but before that happens I can't see just want to double check I keep looking no hit points given where's my shield I want a shield many later cous chests tinella how many playthroughs have I had uh three two maybe in tactician and two in honor modes full playthroughs but for what no three tactician before H mode came out can you bag him and raise us later I don't think so I can't pick him up companions are my favorites I quite like lelle like the way she changes throughout the game oh no from being naive to uh well leading the spoilers but leading the gith Yankee potentially right let's open you up the console appears dormant the console HS to life all right let's get her out suddenly you feel a hideous then discomfort Fades and another sensation washes over you connection it's so strange not seeing the uh Target yeah that's weird I mean considering what I've always had in Boulders Gate 3 Feel the biomechanic a shiver runs across your mind I know some of the DCS like the difficulty classes no she comes right Shadow Hearts come and save us I thought that damn thing was going to be my coffin your mind lurches into her thoughts yeah I can't see anything I'm probably going to skip through a lot of these cut scenes I've seen them enough times now each other's heads it must be because of those they'll have to wait let me come with you all right let's go Shadow hard one moment uh what's that it's let's skip that one cuz it's bit out the way I shouldn't waste the movement speed I've been I say granted I've given myself Char as my feet can carry me oh that's lucky so's that oh good start plus two proficiency okay okay okay right we should sorry I am death this is about I say the only time one of the few times in the game I actually remember to dip my weapon to be fair she does often have other bonus actions to be using right uh yeah it's got like 10 or 12 hit points or something stay focused no just shoot nice stand best chance to drop I don't think so because well maybe not let's just double check doesn't give any sort of disadvantage on wisdom saving throws it doesn't say no lasel I probably should hecked um bet it makes a difference I've never seen him shove anything good morning z z it o look at that yeah that damage isn't resisted take get him your nice the devil ignore the devil I don't think so right uh drop 50% let's go one attempt left don't don't don't go down yeah any 25% chance from the custom difficulty options I showed at the beginning of the stream I'm trying to I've picked what I would assume deem to be the most like difficult settings well it wasn't likely to work lethal Swift and lethal okay oh she's got she can the Imp a long way right taste my Fury tasted get over there need to try and get her to use pommel strike on if this ship hits Commander nice Swift and lethal all right this is about the only chance I've got with minus one proficiency uh the chance to hit has gone down even further yeah oh well H what should I do well let's hit Commander Z because his damage is basically the highest the chance to hit is so low and these guys will cause me some damage um he always uses a ranged attack there we are six damage stun 100% chance I'd feel like a fool not to do this seven damage I go all right charge away time to strike I wonder if Lal could get rid of that imp not sure she can with a ranged weapon a not enough movement 47 damage wa what's this 2 to 7 80% chance 90% chance we are no time to waste come back hopefully making the Lesser hell's Bo Dash talk to me Come a Little Closer let's see what happens don't forget to hex before blasting Commander zul is already hexed that's why I got concentration here have to keep going trying to get high ground I don't know if I'm going to get out of range yeah there we are oh man yeah I'm going to have such well not such I'm going to have a much smaller amount of gold in this play through going to be a bit more difficult man this feels like home haven't played through Early Access for three years before this well yeah they live in the under dark normally I suppose you could call them under elves they get called under elves not sure all right that uh you can actually go rator they're not worth very much sadly worth one gold I do know some people actually use things like barrels to sort all of their items out because they're very organized I however just let everything float about on my inventory just find it when I need it one thing I like that they added into the game after Early Access is that during um Early Access I don't think you could jump up here there used to be a tree here and you you could use like the jump spell to jump up here that would be okay occasionally get stuck in the tree now they run away so the reason I like this is because now everybody can just just but can walk up here instead of having to fight the intellect devours have them down under oh no never mind put fish into where whatever I should live now as much as I love having Wizards I really do like having a wizard in the party I love having the versatility I might not do it this run because it costs well I say too much money but it cost money to learn spells I do find G gets quite a wizard gets quite expensive Elixir fire resistance anyway so coming up this way means we can get to Gail and aaran and Laser without having to fight anything which I think is a very good idea sensible oh I talked about not about having enough strength Shadow heart thankfully comes with 12 strength or 13 strength which gives her just enough to get up here I'm going to split them up for the wizard tuition to going dread companions don't know maybe I could haven't thought about it really that so we get Shadow heart to get out cleric wisdom I don't know what I need to roll I'm get into level five without fighting too much you probably can get down to the dark if you use invisibility or Missy step to get around places you should be able to um explore around can only assume you don't happen to be a cleric a CL we're most certainly going to need ha your party leader I love how he somehow instinctively knows shadart is not the leader currence of exploration merits companion X um see without too many combats choose all dialog options that don't get you into combat like you can walk into the goblin Camp you don't have to fight there you could could go into the underd dark that way walk around a bit but you are eventually going to have to get into combat um I haven't really tried conjuration I'm not going to keep a wizard anyway but it's nice to have create water least risk for Honor in general yeah uh let me think one second what am I doing here going to get rid of G very soon let's just give him a couple of kind TPS ritual spells oh I have the Magic Touch so pick easy fights yeah you get level four without combat explore you can get to Walkin rest and get a few things there even oh no wrong thing um that that's I basically leave all the hard fights till last so the hag the GI Yankee if I'm doing it Anders light on my feet you can get through most of the goblin Camp just by talking dead goblins over there worth checking for supplies yeah tactician cuz I haven't gone to check tactician again but yeah definitely on a mode prices of some things have gone up certainly making it more difficult to buy what you want when you want by the end though of my second onor mode run I was I had enough money it's really just through the first sections that it makes a lot more difficult to get what you want um I should go free laser all right gaale we're saying goodbye to you it's been an honor yeah the course like banned yeah same the value of it is like 1500 roughly 1,500 Golds and another joins cost more than that to actually buy it we'll come on yeah it's not very likely I'm not surprised by that yeah that was really strange I maybe didn't have very much movement he could have dashed though yeah don't quite understand really all right we got all these things lovely stuff we're going to time for a new approach one extra damage going to put a star in in the way hopefully that'll be okay all right go yes go yes 25 experience double dipping on experience doesn't happen or work with every encounter but well basic it works here I'm almost certain if I try and move her she's just going to slip in the ice persuasion skill yeah but proficiency is worse here so that makes it even more difficult to kill you're done I probably should get closer where's that wizard gone time to strike actually I shouldn't get closer position I
