what's up guys dog polke here and welcome back for another episode poker hands and today we're picking up right where we left off yesterday Phil Hellmuth had just doubled up in a hand and he gets right back in the mix in the very next hand it's also the last hand here on poker goes poker after dark well Phil Hellmuth fine yet another double or will he be sent walking away from the felt penniless Mike Matusow Mike Mike say hello hey hello I'm greatest in the world my best friend Tilly attacking from the button here in the last end of the night because six four suited ace flaps and of course Keating let's go let's go not one to play a small one makes it four thousand total I'm gonna check our hand begins at 100 $200 blind today $400 straddle from Allen Keating the action kicks off I've got a couple folds there including a very disciplined lay down from young good to see him balancing out his game by laying down to the premium holding and the actions on Jennifer Tilly on the button with six fours who did it now on the button this is a hand you typically are gonna want to open it's got some good playability and lets you disguise some the other hand you can have when there are three blind do you maybe consider a fold every now and then but this is certainly a hand you're gonna want to open now over to Hellmuth he looks down at ace five shooter this is a classic re-raise spot you could knock both minds out of the pot you have great equity when called a stripe shoot is one of the nicest hands to Bluff with preflop because it's a combination of equity against strong ranges and card removal make it a very nice hand to work into your ranges on the other hand we are playing live poker so why would you raise when you could just make a loose passive call which Phil Hellmuth does decide to do the big blind gets out of the way and now over to Keating looks like King deuce suited I think is a pretty clear called calling will definitely be profitable with this hand and if you re-raise in the situation it might make money too but you have plenty of other candidates that might make better re-raise as well your stronger hands to get value from these players and typically speaking I'd rather have some hands that better play ability post flop in those three bet spots anyway he does decide to bump it up and now the actions back over to Jennifer Tilly since we're seated here I think when you're very deep like the players are I don't hate taking a flop I also don't hate for betting and I also don't hate fold so basically it's a classic hand here our poker hands up just do something because it can't be that bad or good how about that Tilly does decided to make the call back over to Hellmuth this is one of those situations where having called preflop puts you in these very awkward situation where you're not really getting a great spot to call here sure your direct dogs aren't that bad and you do close the action which makes this kind of close however you're gonna be out of position here against both players post flop this is gonna be a tough spot to extract value when you hit good hands and you are mainly going to miss the flop with this holding as well so I think this is a pretty close spot by lean a little bit more towards a full dear from Hellmuth so again he does decide to make the call and let's take a flop but you don't worry dark cheque for Phil as it comes Jack five four okay that's fine seven both Hellmuth and Tillie with a piece here second and third pair Keating a lot of pressure seven thousand pounds of it that's back of white you have Jen's call of concern for healthy how do we tip the staff here between the dealers and moles so Phil taking his time before deciding to hang in there the fall comes jack five four no one's too thrilled here but we got a little something-something all around Alan King does have the ability to bet the flop as a buffy's chooses to do so and of course he also has an over card back to a flush draw for just barely something both of our other players fought payers jennifer Tilly thought was bottom pair and Phil Hellmuth offs middle payer but no one's got the kind of hand they can really get behind and some of those spots are my favorites with help me checking dark the actions over to Alan Keating decides to bet the flop and I don't hate this decision I will say that I like mixing it up to checking and betting here if you always do the hands this week and you always bet the flop you're simply gonna have way too many Bluffs and you see someone at your table doing these kinds of things there are some adjustments you could make you could open a little tire to start the hand you can float the flop a little wider you can raise the table a little bit wider there's some pretty easy adjustments that you can make that's gonna make this strategy not you're really strong against you I almost need you're going to bet the flop you want to use a smaller size than this size he bets 7,000 to 12,000 here just a little bit too big on dry boards like this you want to use sizes that really target some of the hands your pawns can have like and like ace queen or maybe a hand like pocket twos or a seventh suited some of these very weak hands that simply just have to fold to a bet or if you bet large those hands can easily fold and your opponent can just call with hands that are actually much more excited as he turns than rivers after caning bets both players behind actually have pretty easy decisions now Tilly might be inclined every so often didn't work this hand into a raise and try and go for a good bluff she of course blocks hands like five four suited or a set of four so by raising with a hand like this incredibly represented these strong hands herself and look to bluff on later streets especially your deep stack you got to mix in some aggressive stuff like this to keep your pawns off-guard but her main decision here should be to call what she does decide to make over to Phil Hellmuth I think that Phil has a fairly clear call here as well he's a backronym foster eyes got middle pair top kicker he's got just enough to stay interested but he can't be too excited with the prospects of what's coming on the turn unless he improves on a few key cards anyway he does decide to make the call and let's take a turn and he picks up the nut flush draw on the turn while keating hits the king out of nowhere to jump in front 18 Tilly released now it's on help you yeah Yokoso wheels the wheels come on already 11,000 invested for Phil who has 57 back started the pot of 48,000 on the night could simply fold and lock up a 37k win it just call and if he decides to lay down on the end still lock up a 19k win and Hellmuth has taken so long with his hand at this point I just don't see how Keating would ever imagine that phil has better than King deuce here Hellmuth declaring he thinks Keating has kings and jacks or that he doesn't couldn't quite make it out but regardless he's going with options see here they're taking the 18 and I'm being told that he indeed said I think you have Kings in Jax and he is still mob he goes all-in again have you doubled again Wow I did figure that I'm way to finish up the last two hands yeah good thing you took this is the stickiest person you making a scene with this like a jacket clothes and the turn comes an action card the king of clubs and now keening has improved a top pair one of the few really good cards for him on the turn I hasn't moved into the lead but also interestingly Hellmuth now has improved to the not fussed Ross he's got some playability working here too how many checks once again and King now does decide to bet the turn I wouldn't mind seeing a check here every so often your points can have some hands that do beat you I think gives you some nice Bluff catchers if you want to check and play against bets on later streets or even this street for that matter now King doesn't had to go ahead and fire 18,000 over to jennifer Tilly pretty easy full with bottom pair and she does get out of the way and now the actions back over to Phil Hellmuth and we can see that this is why preflop when you call it a position you put some tough spots like this you know he's almost getting the direct dodge to just draw and then maybe there's some chances opponents bluffing so he's not gonna be able to fold but here's the question does he decide to just call or does he want to move in now this is something we don't say often here at poker hands but I really like for Phil Hellmuth decides to do here he decides to raise all in putting his opponent in a tough spot and the reason I like this is that Phil can certainly have a variety of value bets here that can balance his range up I would not put it past him to be able to have a hand like ace king or king queen suited and then of course you can also have hands like King Jack maybe some slow played hands from the flop maybe once in a while slow put ace is one of the good things about being a trap II player who looks to raise later Suites or value is that you get to Bluff more to and so within Phil's strategy I think this can make a lot of sense if he does get called okay he's got a lot of equity and his opponent is now much less likely to have a hand like aces or ace King because he has an ace in his hand so when his opponent is bluffing they have to fold when he's got some kind of draw he forced off that equity and then when your opponent has a thinner value bet like Queens or King deuce suited they get put in a kind of tough spa here against a player that can oftentimes be fairly conservative so I like this play from Phil now over to Alan what does he want to do with this top pair and the thing when you do decide to bet these hands especially on in spots where you could likely have a variety of hands to bluff with you kind of have to just call even though you're unhappy about it and look against Phil Hellmuth maybe you might be able to find a hero falled a bit more than other places especially on a three-way turn but the thing is he could have a variety of other hands in my bet the turn like pocket queens or maybe some drawers himself and he's gonna bet fold with a top pair type hand he's gonna bet folding way too much here the only way you can fold this turn is if you're able to say to yourself I just don't think Phil's God aimed a bluff and that might be true sometimes but it's definitely not true here you just call that anyway he's pretty much the same sort of hand good instincts for Keating who's trying to reconstruct but his memory fails them would you really give me the speech if you had it that's you signing off people calls with the King deuce and help me is gonna have to improve here or he's gonna get stacked the entire you state community on the edge of its seat so King does decide to man up and make the call but it is not gonna pay off here or as Phil Hellmuth going to get there so how about a hundred and forty six G's in the middle to finish the night as Keating locks up the first half with trip Kansas requiring just to escape well thank you for the invite whatever have no no I'm but I made a mistake I said if you have kings and jacks tomorrow when the top pair he'll be drawing dead no call I will call Kings with the bait to the baby kicker it's still going on there ran in Christ's second board does not improve helm use hand and Alan Keating felts him on the final hand of the night he says you to have some balls I would have folded [ __ ] he made it work I know he's on tilt from the hand before him yeah porque yeah for the flop with King deuce then he bets 18,000 when a king he it's a miracle [ __ ] king on the turn yeah and it gives me a flush there I mean is so [ __ ] predictable I know every hand what Alan has and he's still [ __ ] somehow wins both thank you good Todd Allen sorry Phil if it wasn't for luck you'd win every time except you weren't ahead here so maybe that's not very good saying thank you for joining me here for poker hands guys we've had tons of videos coming out so if you want to see more make sure you turn
