Two Moms & Twin Boys // The Sims 4 Speed Build: Apartment Renovation

foreign welcome back to the channel and welcome to another apartment renovation today I am renovating Stone Street Apartments number three in the world of Evergreen Harbor and this is going to be a two bedroom one bathroom apartment that is going to be for a couple of moms and their twin boys I thought this would be a really cute idea I had it written down for a while but for whatever reason I didn't do it yet I just really love coming up with different family Dynamics for apartment builds in particular since you're really just focusing on the interior and not focusing on like the shape of a house and this is the floor plan I don't think I've done in this apartment yet you enter into a hallway and then we have a dining room off to one side a bathroom off to the other the kitchen and the living room are in the middle of the house so they technically don't have Windows but I feel like they look super cozy and you have direct access to the hallway and the dining room which do have windows so I felt like it was still really fine plus this way it enabled all the bedrooms to have Windows which I thought was more important so that's what I ended up doing in this phase it has a lot of color in it I used a lot of like blues and like pinky tones using a lot of the new items from the last few packs plus a lot of dream home decorator because I really like it I also did focus on quite a bit of Darker wood tones in this space for whatever reason I just feel like it is something that I've been really drawn to lately um words like traditional Dark Woods for kitchen counters for example so the ones that I put down in the beginning of this build they're not just placeholders those are going to be the ones that stay there and I will be elaborating on the kitchen a little bit later I just wanted to get a general layout and then I start by decorating the living room which is what we were working on now I used a bunch of the new plants in the corner that came with growing together I don't get the chance to use them very often because they are a cluster of four so that makes them very difficult to use I really wish that they were separated out but I was able to make them work in this corner I just added another plant over there from dine out to kind of finish off that corner and then there's a little desk space in here I feel like this space looks so cozy I also added the like parenting board that came with the Parenthood game pack there's some drawings up here I was thinking the boys had done and I just think that's really cute that's a really nice item from Parenthood that pack in general has a lot of adorable items and I think it pairs really nicely with growing together which of course I'm using some of in this build the couch here as well as the bookcase behind it the board games that I'm placing down are all from Parenthood and then this coffee table I think is also from Parenthood although I think I just said all the things that were for growing together and then said they were from Parenthood but anyway I'm using a lot of those two packs in this space to create this really cozy living room I love this couch I feel like this is a couch that a lot of us were not sure how we felt about when it first came out and it's definitely grown on me I think it looks so cozy and it's definitely modern but it still feels like a realistic family couch I don't know if that makes sense but I quite like it in this space I thought the colors were fun I will be also changing the color of the rug a little bit later to be something that still incorporates those colors but is a little bit lighter it ends up being like more whites peaches and uh Blues you'll see in a little while it's just one of the other swatches of the exact same rug but I wanted to lighten up the colors in here I also added this toy on the couch which I thought was quite cute I'm just raising it up slightly with tulle and then adding some more clutter on this table I of course have some kids crafts that came with growing together and then I got some like games like chess and all of that from the everyday clutter kit and we get some like change and I think some dirty cups and stuff like that I just really wanted it to feel lived in and I think I achieved that in this space and then over here I wanted to add another chair we just have one and then I have some more like kids caught her over here none of the stuff I placed is functional so we end up just having some like messy clutter over here so we have like the cardboard rocket ship which is a sculpture piece that came with growing together there's a few of those that are meant to just look like something the kids made out of cardboard and I thought that that was quite cute over here and then I also have um a little plant hanging up in the corner we get a couple of game consoles various places throughout the house have that cluster of frames that also came with growing together that allow you to place your own pictures in them I thought that that would be nice if you're playing in this house having lots of family portraits would be a cute idea and this is what I decided maybe one or both of the kids is into sports I put down some sports equipment in the living room that's just a base game item but I think it's a it's a nice one to show some personality and interest that a Sim might have uh but moving on into the kitchen now just getting all of our appliances I also added this shelf in here that has some like pastas and stuff and then getting some cutting boards I believe we get a microwave in here and I just try and clutter it up but still make it look pretty put together and organized I didn't want the whole Space to feel too overly cluttered obviously the living room has a bit of that but I think that makes sense that's where the family hangs out so that's what I wanted to include there so there's the microwave we also have a dishwasher I often forget to add dishwashers in my builds I've been trying really hard lately to include them so I was able to do that in this one and then I also get a small dining table in the kitchen we have a dedicated dining room as well but we had room in here so I put a three-seater table and just a couple of decorations there as well and I think we add a calendar up above it yeah and the really cute aprons in here I just think the space came out really cute I was quite happy with this kitchen I know it's really simple but um I think it looks cozy because of the warm brown tones that I used in this whole space and then this is going to be that dining room bringing in some more of those brown tones I used this table from dream home decorator along with the curtains that matched it and then I got this hutch from Jungle Adventure which is my favorite hutch in the game I definitely overuse it whenever I need a hutch I am pretty much guaranteed to grab this one it's just so nice I decided to put one of the plates there from Parenthood that looked like maybe one of the kids could have finger painted I thought that that was adorable and then we got some other plates over here as well and some cups and stuff I put a bunch of them around just so I could place them there without them clipping to a slot so that's why all of a sudden there's cups absolutely everywhere and then I just gotta clock in here and a corner shelf and I think that's mostly it for this room other than this dresser over here that I put a um a stereo above I thought that that would be a nice use of that space so your Sims could listen to some music but anyway this is the hallway space where you first enter in and decided to use this modular piece from dream home decorator to be like a place you could hang up your coat I always just do a regular coat rack from base game so I thought I would try something a little bit different here and I think it looks really nice I was quite happy with it I did scale it down ever so slightly so it wouldn't clip into the wall so I had to also scale the things that I put in here so that they weren't clipping through the side so I just got a couple of baskets there and then we should be getting yeah our fire alarm and temperature controls and then we're heading into the kids bedroom so I had the vague idea that maybe one of them enjoyed Sports and I did an entire version of this bedroom that I deleted and cut out of the video it took so long and I wasn't liking it and I think it was because I went for the sports theme but the colors didn't match the rest of the apartment it and they don't have to match the same color scheme but it was too bright it was like bright orange um I was using the bed from Parenthood that is black and orange with the baseballs on it and it just yeah the room ended up very very busy and like in a bad way in my opinion so I went back and I was like okay maybe I'll abandon the sports idea and we'll use this base game set but I was able to incorporate it anyway so I have a lot of um Sports posters in here also this wallpaper from Parenthood that has all of the different balls on it I think it is really cute plus we have a lot of posters now from various packs particularly high school years that have sports on them so I grabbed this basketball one and then I also got this bookcase at the end of the beds that looks like a locker with stickers and stuff all over it I just really like how this room came out I'm glad that I decided to walk away and come back and give it another go because the first go I was just really not happy with but that is the entirety of their room and then we're moving into the primary bedroom the mom's bedroom uh this is another room that I originally was thinking was gonna be like blue and then I put in some yellow and it became a yellow and pink room and I think it is so cozy uh there's pinks and yellows throughout the rest of the apartment but they're not the primary colors definitely blue is so I thought that this was a nice way to incorporate those colors in a more prominent way in the bedroom and make it like their little Sanctuary or Oasis away from everything and it just looks so cute in here I also used the new mirror that came with the basement Treasures kit I love that mirror I feel like I'm gonna be getting a lot of views out of it as I place that in here and then we should be getting a dresser over on this side of the room as well which is also from dream home decorator I very rarely use the dressers from that pack because they have such a harsh Shadow on either side of them most of the time sometimes they don't and um today it of course still had that shadow but I decided to use it anyway just because I don't use it very often but I really wish they would fix that I don't know why it has such a harsh Shadow and it's been a long time but anyway the last room we have to decorate is the bathroom I decided to build in the shower of on this side and just put a like a curtain over the window because it's a pretty big window into the bathroom but I liked the layout so I decided to deal with it and then we have a sink over here and our toilet should be right next to that I have the counter portion kind of wrap around so we could clutter it up with all sorts of bathroom clutter I also want to mention I forgot to add a a trash can inside the house until the very end of the build it's going to be the last clip you see is me like trying to figure out where I can fit a trash can it ends up being in the front hallway because there wasn't really a good spot in the kitchen to put it unless I got rid of one of the chairs at the table which I didn't really want to do so you'll see that here shortly but um you just gotta finish decorating the bathroom first I get a painting up here I also use some of the new towels from growing together over here that are like kid prints I thought they were really cute but that's it for this build I really hope you enjoyed it if
