hey everybody it's troy again with tw small engine repair i figured i'd do my second video here as i mentioned in the first one i was gonna give you a toolbox tour so without further ado here we go uh before we get started with this uh if you remember from my first video uh before i get too much heat on this uh i got a lot of tools in here i'm gonna tell you right now um that's mostly because i was working on trucks and buses as well as small engines at home i did that at home and then i had my nine to five job um working on trucks and buses and that so i pretty much needed two full sets of tools and i've since uh went down to full-time uh small engine repair out of my home shop so now i have both sets of tools blended together as one so um this is going to look a little bit overwhelming but like i say that's that's the explanation behind all the tools i have so let's get started um first thing first on the top here i got my chargers for all my cordless stuff milwaukee and snap-on charger and dewalt and a matco charger um i just got a a small little assortment of just knick-knack stuff that i use a lot little self-tapping screws and grease zerks and that kind of thing in this box um got my flashlight there i've got a bunch of other lights on the other end as well as this is kind of my go-to light love this light it's got its own little uh dock you set it in charges up very bright nice light there so here we go with the first uh bank of drawers here this top one is just papers and junk in there that's the lock box drawer so i'm not going to go through that so this is the first drawer so i got my uh snap-on bore scope here it comes in kind of handy seeing the internals of engines and that matco uh easy outs uh mac tools impact driver uh snap-on uh screw extractor set get it open here it's got uh left-handed drills in there and uh the extractors to match them um underneath that is a burr snap-on burr set a little drill bit set as you can see i break all the small ones as everybody does another little dewalt screwdriver bit set another snap-on drill bit set these are pretty nice drill bits they last a long good long time um what else do we have in here snap-on or matco uh burr set smaller one a little needle drills for cleaning out carbs handles in here somewhere too comes in kind of handy another set of those little needle drills even smaller than that set dew point screw extractor set use this before it's got me out of a couple of pinch or two a few times and another matco extractor set here the bigger set than the one in the back just a wire brush spare here brake line cutting tool it's kind of a nice unit there and then uh milwaukee drill bit set so that's it for that drawer next drawer is my screwdriver drawer mostly all snap on in here i got a couple sets three sets of snap-ons in here um these little bit drivers set the different angles and then the straight they're kind of handy to have for these little bits and that little stubby bit set there allen's in that smaller screwdrivers here for carb work and that stuff magnetizer for your screwdrivers you can magnetize or demagnetize them that's pretty handy to have next drawer got kind of a bunch of odds and then stuff here uh most this stuff in here is like this is for uh air brakes on trucks and that driving out the the bushings for the anchor pins uh all my different air hammer bits right here um air wands tire inflator a big scraper here a little exacto knife set these super scrapers these are awesome for removing gaskets they got a carbide end on them got two different sizes this one and then a smaller one there very nice tools to have for gasket removal a utility knife and these are all my different carb adjustment tools there's like an eight piece set or whatever razor blades different ends for my ear wands it's just some odds and ends fittings and bolts and that kind of thing in there plastic razor blades and blades for my little sawzall next drawer is my uh punch and chisel drawer um some various snap-on punches and chisels in this set these are just straight round punches um extra long round punches and then the different assortment of the really long punches here in math goal line disconnect tool set magnets here and a mirror this is a centering punch put it on the metal and just push down on it works out pretty good for your drill holes and something this is my brass punch drift um this is for holding the the punches in that so you don't if you're not holding the punch like this and you whack your hand or whatever you can screw it in and tighten it down into here and then you can hit it like that um and then another snap-on punch set too with the built-in handles on them those are kind of nice and then in the back here this is for making gaskets make them in all different size uh ends on here this is a 7 16 so it'll make a perfect 7 16 hole and put the gasket down and set this on top and give it a tap and it'll knock that size hole out moving down the next drawer i've got my uh pick sets in here two different sets of uh small picks got the longer picks the light duty ones another set of uh short picks these are for uh taking out o-rings and that they won't damage them like a normal pick will a four piece set of those these are a little bit heavier duty picks longer bigger diameter shank on them these are kind of nice to have and then over here is different gasket scrapers and then the really heavy duty pick set from let go moving down another drawer got my screwdriver set and torque set there small stuff um another small file set a little micro torch for heating up like butt connectors and that kind of thing tape measure this is a another quick change screwdriver bit set from matco those are very nice bits seem to hold up very well uh ladies foot pry bar set don't really use them a lot and then nice matco screwdriver set with all the different extensions and different bits torques and allens and slotted and phillips so moving on down this is kind of my electrical diagnostic drawer got all kinds of stuff in here test leads and multimeter [Music] this is a trailer pin cleaning kit more uh pin terminal cleaners here in these two another this is a clamp amp clamp meter test leads down there load pro test leads i got my dewalt uh drill and impact driver and uh most this stuff was often when i was working on trucks and that so lots of lots of wiring stuff when you're working on that not so much in small engines so let's move on to the main drawer in the top i guess this will be my uh socket drawer so this drawer starting out on the right side this is all my standard sockets uh most of it's all the chromes are all snap on what i did when i when i built my my good main set of sockets and that i purchased all all my shallows in 12 point and then i went with all my deeps in six point so that way i kind of have you know i need i have 12 points when i need them um and that's i did that for all the snap-ons the chromes anyway my impacts are almost all of them are all six point and they are mostly all gray pneumatic so i got my quarter inch rails of snap-ons here um a little nut driver handle a couple of matt cole half inch drive extensions impact extensions uh the gray pneumatic quarter inch drive set and then the snap-on three-eighths shallows and and deeps uh snap-on impacts here the semi-deep those are kind of handy to have in that length gray pneumatic this set these are just this kind of an odds and ends cheaper set that i found somewhere i don't remember even where it come from but these are the snap-on standards in shallows and deeps and then gray pneumatic set back here and half inch drives um down here we got blue point uh torque set these are the tamper proof i needed these when i was working on trucks and that a lot so i bought that set for that it's just a cheaper set of allens and phillips heads these are kind of nice uh for flare flare lines uh brake lines and that you can actually get a socket on them they got the open side here so the line can come through a little nicer getting stuff loose i worked on a lot of hydraulic brakes on the school buses and that so i use that set quite a bit for that this is a snap-on specialty socket for the full power brakes on the that the buses had um got my three quarter inch drive 33 millimeter here for the lug nuts on trucks and that these two rows here are gray pneumatic the wobble sockets they come in handy every now and then 3 8 drive on those moving down the middle here um lyle filter socket set that was mainly for the uh trucks and that do i use them i've got a matco damaged bolt remover set there these things really grip on rounded off bolts nice to have in the middle back here i got half inch drive allens this is all gray pneumatic as well and then the torques and half inch drive external torques 3 8 drive some odds and ends quarter inch drive stuff in here then we got the three-eighths in the torques and the allens and the quarter in the torques and allens this row here is uh pretty much just kind of wobble adapters um and all my different drive adapters like half to three quarter and three eighths to quarter and that kind of thing just uh odds and ends wobble set here and my spark plug set which i use a lot i think this is this is a matt cole set here but i think it's made by gearwrench so it's the four piece set kind of nice from small engine stuff just picked these sets up here a week or so ago kind of a nice bit set with the little ratchet with it and then it was a two-piece deal so you got the sockets they're extra shallow and you can put a ratchet on the end too or this custom wrench that comes with it so moving on this is a cheaper set of three-quarter inch impact sockets three-quarter drive don't use them really at all in my home shop here on small engines that was all from truck stuff so moving along here got these little inserts they're for a damaged uh bolt head removal aid too you can put these in a 12-point wrench then they got the little teeth that'll bite into the damaged bolt to extract it snap wobble half-inch drive extension set um air brake adjusting tool here obviously don't use that small engine this is my nexic blue link for hooking up to the trucks and buses and that on your phone getting codes my 3 8 wobble plus snap on extension set and quarter inch drive wobble plus snap-on extensions a couple odds and ends regular snap on moving on here is tecton nut driver set nut sets or whatever they call them this is a set for holding taps when you're tapping stuff that's kind of nice rather than using the standard t-handle they give you in the sets another set of 3 8 drive i believe these are torx and then the external set to match them then these are my square drive plug sockets uh male and female them too and then on this side it's the same thing uh is the the standard side this is my metric side so i ended up getting a good deal on this three row set of snap-on that's why i got the semi-deeps in the quarters too as well these are all six point this uh otherwise it's gray pneumatic and snap-on chromes and i got the snap-on semi-deep set gray pneumatic snap-on and great pneumatic all in the metrics then this set was when i was working on trucks and that too with the spline drives it's a five piece set snap on there oh moving on down to the wrench drawer so the wrench drawer is uh pretty much the same thing as the socket drawer as far as the layout try to keep my standard on the right and metric on the left wasn't quite as easy to lay it out with the wrenches but uh it's pretty close so i got them pretty much split up side to side so i'm starting with this it's a matco flare flare nut wrenches and they got the uh swivel on the end it's kind of nice that's it and then the crow's feet both the flare style and the regular open-end style these are matco ratcheting straight ratcheting non-reversible really nice wrenches i use those all the time that goes a quarter to one inch and then behind that is just the standard combination snap on long pattern flank drive i believe they are that goes three eighths to three quarter um right up here got my flat wrenches these are very useful in in uh taking off the solenoid off the bottom of a carburetor bowl on a lot of the riding mowers and that can't get a regular wrench in there and these are super thin to get get in there so kind of an inexpensive set to have there um this is just ear wrench set regular ratcheting wrenches reversible and i didn't have room to lay them out so they're kind of just piled up there um double boxing offset snap-on set use them every now and then this is where my metric set it matches the standard and the matco's just the straight non-reversing metric 8 to 24 millimeter and back here i have my three quarter inch drive easy red ratchet and it's indexing so it extends way out once again this was uh mainly used in the trucking world so um right here i got my gearwrench set of stubbies um in standard and then there's two there that didn't fit in the rail i got an odds and snap on inch and 3 16 wrench needed it one day when i was working on a truck and uh snap-on happened to pull in that day so i ended up fighting the bullet and buying that so um back here i got my standard and metric um flare knot wrenches needed them all the time too like i say working on hydraulic brakes you take every tool you can get working on those um then here i just got a standard combination matco set of metrics and then i got kind of got the matching set to it in the reversing gear wrench standard matco's and then i got the gearwrench set here the double box ratcheting on one end and uh box on the other end kind of nice they got that extra um deep groove on there comes in handy every now and then and then this is the jumbo set of them the bigger sizes um matching set for gearwrench the combination reversing and uh snap on flank drive plus back here long pattern matches the standard set i had um and then i got my open m and flare nut girl's feet that about does it for the wrench drawer next we got the middle drawer this is my air tool and battery tool drawer a lot of guys are going away from the air tools and going strictly battery and uh i'm kind of i i use a lot of both of them i like my my battery tools i got a couple of small impacts in that but uh i don't see myself going away from air tools anytime soon that's my personal preference anyway so getting started on here start with the electrics got the snap-on 14-4 drill um and the impact to match it and then the little screw gun to match it and the light to match it that's what i have for the snap-ons got my little milwaukee screw gun there this little guy i use this pretty much every day a little quarter inch drive impact by matco it is amazing how much power this little guy has highly recommend getting one of those if you don't have one um and then i got a matco little screw gun there and then for the battery stuff this also matches the matco uh impact this is a quarter inch drive ratchet use this quite frequently too very nice little tool um along with that i got a couple of air powered 3 8 ratchets a matco and a coleman matco cut off wheel it's got an adjustable head on it so you can change it one way or another it doesn't quite have as much power as i kind of hoped it would so i'm not real real fond of that right now um here again i got um two full sets of these i got the 90 and the straight um and then there's the other two there one was at work and one was at home so everybody's got to have die grinders got another little small matco die grinder i use this on the bur bit quite a bit uh two or three eighths impacts this is the one i had at home this was the one i had at work same with the half inch drive i got two half inch drive mat go impacts i like this long cut off wheel this thing is very handy and it's very powerful and then i got a little snap on uh right angle 90 degrees with the wire wheel on it use that for cleaning up carving out of cylinder heads and now and then my matco impact driver set this thing is awesome too i wouldn't have to buy any brand but this one then i got a snap on air saw i used i don't use this quite as much as i did when i was working on the buses and now and then the matco air hammer this thing is an awesome awesome tool i cannot believe how much power that thing has for knocking fly wheels off and that kind of thing now i got my snap-on three-quarter inch air gun don't hardly ever use that a couple old air impacts that i when i started in the mechanic world um they're long pretty old already they're about 20 30 years old now so i just kind of keep them around just sentimental value this impact use this on a daily basis in the summertime these things work great for taking off mower blades the stubby impact half inch drive i believe this is an air cat or nitro cat whatever they call it so that's a nice tool to have if you're working on mower blades a lot moving on down to the pliers drawer got all my vice grips back here um these are matt cole same thing there when that's who makes them for matco they just put their name on um snap ring pliers those are snap on five piece set there extra long needle nose 45 in a straight those are both snap on these are a blue point set kind of nice little pliers to when you're working on carb stuff and moving them putting on little springs on the carbs the linkages and that those are kind of handy to have this is for my welder um fuel line pinch off pliers those work great i love them things use them all the time here's another little small matt cole set of of small needle nose um matco um crescent wrenches adjustable wrenches um these are the bigger pinch off pliers for like radiator hoses and that just picked these up set of mat coal shears nothing fancy um set of matt cole the double joints on them the 45 and the straight snap-on pwz that's a nice tool if you use pipe wrenches a lot you'll love that thing um set of cobras nip x cobras those work great love them snap-on wire stripping tool another i think this is made by otc i think i got it at nap or whatever it's just got the extra bend on it and then the snap on to match it in the straight a pair of blue point standard straight and 45 these are made by nipex they got the extra angle on them the three piece set the side cutter the needle nose and the regular pliers um snap on side cutter this is another nip x just standard needle nose two different size snap on plier sets snap on long needle nose snap on long side cutters snap on a standard needle nose these two adjustable wrenches from snap-on these things work great the grip bolts the best grip and adjustable wrenches i've ever used and then this snap-on pliers i don't even know why i have it i don't think i've ever used it once so move on down so this is a lot of this stuff is kind of a necessity drawer here pretty much everything in here when you're working on small engines uh use a lot of this stuff every day uh with the exception of this knife set in the back um that's just kind of a extra knife set that i got a good deal on it so i bought it don't use them a lot these t-handle uh these are the metric allens and then the standard set in allen's the t-handle version i use them all the time taken off like chainsaw side covers stuff like that definitely worth the investment into a t-handle set and i have the torque set as well we'll see that a little bit later here um snap-on tap and die sets the metric and the standard set definitely got to have them around for cleaning up threads and stuff if you get stripped out holes and blocks and that kind of thing you definitely want to pick up a set of of those then i got all my nut driver sets these are definitely handy working on small engines not so much the metrics but the standard set is nice to have so i've got both of those then over here got a set of telescoping gauges for measuring cylinder bore and then small hole gauges for measuring like valve guides and that stuff and then i just got the regular standard digital caliper from matt cole here a couple odds and ends uh dial calipers under this is the electric terminal removal tool set from snap on moving on now this drawer is the hammer drawer got a snap-on three-piece set of dead blows got a small gear wrench little three i think this is a three pound little sledge kind of nice to have with a shorter handle like that it's just a cheapy amazon set two-piece set of hammers um another bunch of ball peens these are just harbor freight hammers but i always figure with hammers you're just going to beat on them anyway so why spend a lot of money on on real good hammers so this is a wrecking bar from snap-on this thing is crazy you want to wreck some stuff you just grab a hole this bad boy um matt cole four-piece pry bar pretty self-explanatory there i got the matco indexing ladies foot adjustable i don't use this much at all here that was again in the trucking world i use that all the time over here i got the four piece bearing race punch set for matco obviously don't use that here that was all truck stuff and then the snap-on radiator picks up removing radiator hoses and that comes in handy every now and then and the bottom drawer it's just kind of odds and ends got a lockout tool set from uh so picking locks and that if you lock my vehicle keys in there and get the door open that works pretty good uh some empty boxes here empty cases this is my other and matco air hammer set that i had at work um matt cole silver eagle bit set torx and allen's and that was another odds and end set that i had at work and i got a silver eagle half inch drive uh socket set master socket set from them and then uh my little whatever you call those things the forget the name of them right now this is the black and decker version of it and then the spark plug checker set for automotive use and transfer punch set there then down below i got the terminal set the big case there again this is all my working on the trucks and that electrical diagnostics all right so moving on over here here's my ratchet drawer mostly snap-on ratchets um i got a matco i converted it over to a 3 8 drive it used to be a quarter it's kind of a nice ratchet now i use these swiveling swivel head ratchets all the time in quarter and 3 8 i got both of them they work great um yeah i got a couple of them long quarter inch this works great for spark plugs it's got the the bend in it like that big flex m snap on and then just the fixed position snap on half inch drive both of those some odds and ends extensions and swivels and a quarter inch drive breaker bar i don't know why i have it i do and then a little thimble ratchet from sk that works pretty good every now and then so moving on down this drawer is kind of a mess but this is kind of my specialty small engine stuff there's a lot of stuff in here compression tester and steel puller and valve tools and little uh ring compressors for chainsaws now feeler gauges and this uh is used for taking down the rakers on chainsaw chain spark checkers a little autoscope i believe they call this for looking in passages into carburetors to see if they're cleaning out this is a form of a tachometer from briggs and stratton put it on there and i think everybody's probably seen these or put it on and this comes out and this gets to its longest point of doing that that's where your rpm is at used to use a lot when i was just starting out i don't use it quite so much anymore at the zama factory uh tool set here different uh punches in it that from removing the welch plugs and installing them and whatever um spark testers gotta have all kinds of those i got different styles of them and i got about six or eight of them around here um this is for pulling springs and that works out pretty good for that that way you don't uh skin your up your knuckles or nothing hopefully when you're using that thing um briggs and stratton valve tool all kinds of good stuff in there this drawer here's that uh t-handle torx set i was talking about earlier definitely worth having those for small engine stuff these are the long sockets gearwrench makes them i'm not a real big fan they're they don't seem to be holding up too well i got the ball socket uh allens and metric and standard in them as well just your standard allens here craftsman and then alan set there the actual allen brown those are pretty nice here we got another set of torques and snap-on use these quite frequently and then just your plastic clip removal use those every now and then too this drawer is kind of catch-all got an outside micrometer set for matco battery tester snap-on uh blue point uh seal driver piston ring compressor most of this stuff is all stuff i used in the trucking world so another cheaper set outside micrometers and some odds and ends pullers and some of my old job gear tools and that so that does it for that box now we'll move on to my uh roll cabinet so that is right there so up here i kind of i mounted two magnetic rows and i these are a lot of frequently used tools that i use them quite often they're nice to have them just grab them and go to comp's a carburetor tool i'm sure everybody's seen them a set of feeler gauges here um a couple of knives one's got the steel blade one's got a plastic razor blade in it those work great i love those they're quick change in that cheaper ones up here ringing expander there um my valve core tools there for taking the valve cores out of valve stems and that a bunch of magnetic trays can't ever have too many of them so on the top i got all my sockets and this was all mostly stuff that kid most of it all came home with me from work so um we're moving on into my seconds of of everything here again so got the 3 8 sk socket set quarter inch drive sk socket set and then these are all napa napa impact sockets half inch shallows and deeps metric shallows and deeps these are some odds and ends blackhawk i think they are sockets chromes just some normal torques and slotted bits um yeah so i got napa 3 8 impact sockets i don't have any quarter inch drive i never really use that working on heavy duty stuff um in the sides i got the matco screwdriver set and an actual pry bar set just like the one on the other box and the snap-on pry bar over here so moving on down to the first drawer suppliers drawer um a lot of this is the same players so i'm not going to really go through it too crazy it's a normal run of the mill matco and snap-on and craftsman and master force and everything is in there so a lot of times i'll i'll be working on something outside so i'll grab this roll cart and kind of pull it outside that way i got a lot of my tools with me so that's what i use this for now i got my tire bars in here for pulling tires off riders and that so next drawer downs kind of the wrench drawer here i got my bigger wrenches in here a gear wrench um gearwrench long pattern set and the sk standard set combination large crow's foot set i think those are sonics and some odds and ends craftsman wrenches and just a cheap set of deep well sockets there and here's kind of an overflow of sockets again these are mostly all blackhawk sockets i think some matco extensions three eighths extensions odds and ends uh craftsman wrenches in metric the gearwrench metric long pattern set um another set of torques in matco those work pretty well uh matco all these extra shallow quarter inch drive bits um spline torx it's all in there uh more allen key sets snap-on and craftsman that's about it there easy red half-inch drive indexing probably or ratchet just like the three-quarter inch one got the big matco ratchet down here too so next drawer down this is kind of a catch-all drawer here too more screwdriver bit sets the waltz master force porter cable bit set precision screwdriver set precision torque set underneath of it these are kind of handy sets to have in the small engine world it's the seal driver sets this is the smaller and then this is the bigger set the eight piece two inch i believe it is or two and a half uh radio removal tool kit more punches and chisels from my other job than that i keep my tachometer in here i use a matco it's it's rebranded stuff again i think but works pretty well more milwaukee drill bits and then all my gasket scrapers and this is all just doubles of what was in my other box and more punches over there and then odds and ends harbor freight punches and chisels and that kind of thing and them are bolts for all my pullers and moving down got my relay test kit never use that anymore more harbor freight hammers snap-on file set under them matt cole quick change bit sets two of them this is the smaller and then the bigger set this has got the longer ones in it this is a power steering pulley remover set this was for flushing out uh radiator cores and that kind of thing in the school buses we got a set of step drills they come in handy quite often just a cheap set and i got a set of blue point uh quick change bits there too and the bottom drawer i got a matco variable pin spanner wrench set use this every now and then small engine stuff um axle bearing puller set for the slide hammer those work quite well pulling out bearings and that out of blocks on the old kohler k series and that um and then the tool aid master terminal service kit that's for the deutsche terminals compressing them on and that and then i got a craftsman torque wrench that i hardly ever use anymore because i got a another one now that'll be in the that's in the case uh not in my toolbox i keep all my case stuff on a different shelf in the shop so we'll be going through that with this more of the shop tour when i when i put that video up so this is everything in my boxes so hope you enjoyed the video and uh don't forget to subscribe if you want to and appreciate the likes on the videos and again this is troy with tw's small engine repair thanks for watching bye
